Simula pa lang ng debut ng Red Velvet, marami na silang kinakaharap na rumors and theories. They debuted as a 4-member group on August 1st 2014 under SM Entertainment. Yes, four pa lang sila noon. Wala pa si Yeri that time. Yeri was added in 2015. So bakit pa siya nasama sa group kung stable na naman yung Red Velvet during that time?

SM said it was because of the age...

But people said otherwise and it's not just about the age...

More members, more fans. Five members, better dance formation. Mas patok nga naman sa tao.

Pero may mga rumors pang favorite daw ni Lee Sooman si Yeri kaya dinagdag siya.

But Red Velvet won't be called Queen of Distractions for nothing. Sinasabing si Yeri ay hindi dapat sa Red Velvet kundi sa sub-unit nito. Like you know, SM loves the idea of sub-units.

Pinaniniwalaan ding yung RV ay dapat kagaya ng sa NCT concept ngayon na may unlimited members. Names like Blue Velvet, Green Velvet, and others. Magiging color coded daw ito. Originally ay dapat din daw na 10-member group ang RV. But dahil sa biglang pag-alis ng mga trainee, they had no choice but to add Yeri in RV instead.

Trivia lang, Yeri first made her appearances in Red Velvet's debut music video alongside with other female trainees na umalis kuno sa SM.

Isa sa mga issue na kinaharap nila ay ang debut MV nila. Ang Happiness original MV ay binura dahil dito.

Makikita sa background ang Hiroshima atomic bombings and newspaper clippings nito.

Another issue ay yung pangalan nila. There was already an active indie band with the same name who had been active since 2013. Nakarating sa SM yung complaints nila. Hindi na kinasuhan ang SM ng copyrights and they both agreed na the groups will promote under the same name.

Pero hindi lang ang debut nila ang sinabihang pang-distract, pati na rin ang mga comebacks nila. May nagsasabi rin na pati yung political issues ay dinidistract nila.

"Not sure if this counts as a conspiracy or just an ongoing fan meme but most reveluvs knows about how an idol at SM Entertainment always has some kind of scandal right before Red Velvet announces a comeback the day after, joking dubbing it as the 'sacrifice to the Velvet Gods.' It later starts happening to big-name groups and idols outside of SM.

So what are your judgements? Is it really Red Velvet's debut and comebacks are distracting the public to more serious issue or is it just a coincidence? I mean Irene really distracts me because her original visuals. Chos not chos.
