Prologue

3rd Person POV

The rain pounded loudly against the ground. A hooded figure dashed through their village unnoticed in the dark of night. They ran far away from their small town with a basket in their arms. The rain fell harder attacking the hooded figure as they traveled farther from their town.

The hooded figure's fast pace slowed to a steady walk, as each breath they took created a small puff of condensation in the icy air. The sun peaked at the horizon and the village was no longer anywhere in sight they were in the forest, but the rain was relentless seeming to follow the figure like a curse.

Each footstep of the person became harder as their breath became short. They were tired. They looked around quickly before setting the basket down by a river in the forest. Opening the basket where there was a peacefully sleeping child.

"I'm so sorry," The figure cried out before leaving the basket in the cold, all alone.

The rain continued to pour waking the sleeping child who began to cry. It cried and cried. Telling the world, "I'm here! I'm alive! Someone come save me!".

Nobody seemed to hear the poor child's cries.

The river was by slowly began to overflow from the nonstop rain, the basket started to fill with water causing the child to cry and scream louder. Soon those cries were muffled as the child slowly started the drown.

Had this little girl's story been cut short? When she could have had so much life ahead of her? Fate seemed too cruel at times...

As the little girl started fading from existence, like an angle, someone scooped her out of the basket.

A little boy with pink hair, who didn't know what to do, looked to his father-- a dragon--.

"We saved her right in time!" He beamed as the baby started to cough. Breathing, living, and surviving.

The dragon mused at the small child. He could sense it.

A girl who had fought death. She was strong and would fight.

"I guess we could keep her..."

The pink-haired boy cheered hugging the small girl. That was her first memory, a memory of warmth and safety in this boy's arms.

"I'm going to name you..." The boy paused to think for a second.

"Manami Dragneel,"

I'm not sure if I'll continue this story. But I like crossovers sooooooo...
