Manami's POV

"YOU STUPID FISH BITE MY FREAKIN LINE ALREADY!!!" I yelled impatiently at the water. Hak rolled his eyes.

"At this point, you've gone and scared all the fish away, Miss Magic." 

"Don't call me that!"

"What? Miss Magic?"

"Yes!"

"Okay..."

We stayed silent for a few seconds.

"... Miss Magic." Hak grinned. I shot him a glare.

"I don't like that nickname! It doesn't sound cool like Thunder Beast. It makes me sound like I'm a stupid kid magician how does fake card tricks." I said.

"What? Did you have a cooler nickname?" Hak mused at my anger.

"... No..." I deflated slightly. 

"Then Miss Magic it is." Hak grinned. I grumbled as we both sat quietly fishing. 

"..coup you up somewhere and won't want to let any other man see you-just kidding~~~" I heard Jaeha's voice in a bush quite a few feet away. I sweatdropped at his antics.

"Won't want to let anyone see me? Who are you talking about?" I could hear the innocent confusion in Yona's voice. I laughed slightly to myself.

"What's so funny, Miss Magic?" 

"Nobody says anyone's name that much! You're totally doing it on purpose!" I stuck my tongue out at him. 

"Well?"

"Nothing. It's just Jaeha and Yona are in a bush together right now and Jaeha is definitely not saying anything weird to her whatsoever." I said. Hak's face immediately irked. He stood up holding the fishing wire in his hands.

I pointed to the bush and he rushed over to Jaeha. My eyes winded as I realized the fish at the end of the fishing line. I jumped up excitedly and followed after him.

"Don't blurt things out as you see fit, droopy eyes!" Hak said threateningly. 

"Hak! Hak! Hak!" I cheered.

JaeHa was on the ground about to be strangled by Hak's fishing line. They all turned towards me.

"Well, I'm leaving~" Yona skipped away. 

"Hak! We caught a fish! Look!" I marveled at the small fish at the end of his fishing line. 

"I caught the fish." Hak corrected me. I shot him a glare.

"But I participated!" I protested. He rolled his eyes and pat my head like a kid.

Oni-chan...

My energy deflated slightly. Hak noticed and aggressively ruffled my hair before walking away to follow Yona.

"What the hell what that for!?"

It had been hours. 

Just you wait, Thunder Beast! I'm going to catch my own fish and it's going to be way bigger than yours!

I heard footsteps and turned to see ShinHa.

I waved. He looked at my hand before looking back at his own hand and mimicking the movement. I grinned.

"Are you looking for something?" I asked. He shook his head and pointed to the sky. 

I saw a big cloud.

"Rain..?"

He nodded his head and motioned for me to follow him.

"I'll come in later." 

I focused on fishing again. Shinha walked next to me and aggressively shook his head no. He pointed towards the hut.

"But I wanna catch a fish!" I protested. Shinha stubbornly pointed at the hut. He motioned at the rain before faking being sick and then shook his head no aggressively.

Damn, this is like playing charades.

"I want a fish!!!!" I yelled back. 

Shinha took off his fluffy white mane thing (still don't know what that is) and took Aoi off his shoulder and placed him on my head. Keeping my head still I peered up at the cute squirrel.

Without warning, Shinha jumped into the river. I gasped.

This boy isn't doing what I think he's doing... is he?

After a minute he came back up with a fish in his hand. I went over to the edge to help him out.

"Oh my god! I'm coming inside!" I laughed at the Blue Dragon. 

He dusted the water out of his clothes and put the fluffy white mane thing back on. My fishing rod shook.

My eyes widened. 

The one second I'm not holding my fishing rod the fish bites the bait!?!? What is this?!?!

I grinned reached for my fishing rod hat was about to get pulled into the river.

"I've got you now fish!"

I grabbed the rod and tripped falling into the river.

The water hit my face first.

Water. Water. Water.

I panicked trying to find a rock to put my feet. My feet touched a rock but as soon as I tried to step with my other foot I slipped. I flailed my arms desperately. 

I tried to scream but I chocked on water. It had been mere seconds but I felt like I was drowning. 

Someone pulled me out of the water, my brain wasn't processing was happening. I continued to flail and panic.

I coughed up water. 

I felt something warm cover me but I continued to shiver. 

I gulped up as much air as I could like I would never have air again. The rain started pouring down.

Water. Water. 

Water.

I need air.

Air.

AIr.

AIR.

AIR!

I shot up out of bed with a jolt. I gulped up big breaths of air. I grasped my chest trying to calm down the rapid beating of my heart.

"Manami, you're okay. I've got you."

Natsu's face flashed through my mind. 

Slowly but surely my hands stopped trembling and my breath calmed. 

I didn't realize that my eyes were shut until I opened them again. 

"Manami!" Yun's voice rang in my ears. I turned to my side to see 8 concerned faces staring at me. 

My face flushed. 

I embarrassedly look ed down at my hands.

"Why are you all staring at me?" I stuttered out. 

I realized they all probably saw me freaking out. I buried my face in my hands as I felt even more embarrassed.

"We kept calling your name, but you wouldn't respond," Yona explained. 

I turned my head back over to the group with a smile.

"S-sorry. I didn't hear you." I apologized. 

I didn't know what to do in this situation. Usually, Natsu would be there to help me and I would feel better right away. 

"Do you feel okay? Does your head hurt? Do you feel too cold? Or, maybe, too hot? Do you feel sore anywhere? Does anything feel numb? Do you-" 

 I cut off Yun's rambling.

"I'm fine! I feel fine! Don't worry about it! I feel 100% right now!" I reassured him with a smile. The group all looked at me with a look. 

I waved my hands in front of me telling them to shoo.

"I promise! Here I'll rest a little longer." I laid down on the ground and tucked myself into the blankets that I had previously throw off.

My face was still flushed with embarrassment as I covered it with the blanket.  I shut my eyes tight and heard Yun yelling at the dragons to leave. I heard the shuffling of feet and I peeked to see if they were gone. 

I sat up after confirming that they had left. I grabbed my hair.

AHHHHH!!! THAT'S SO EMBARRASSING!!!!!

I ruffled my hair in embarrassed frustration. 

"Let's just stay away from water this time Manami..." I muttered to myself. 

"Can you not swim?" 

"HoLy CRap!!" I screeched jumping out of the bed in surprise after hearing Yona's voice. 

Yona squeaked in surprise after I got surprised by her. We both looked at each other for a second before bursting out in laughter.

"Yona-chan don't scare me like that!" I laughed. After we claimed down from our senseless laughter Yona asked me again.

"Do you need to stay away from water because you can't swim?" Yona asked me again.

"I guess. I just have a fear of being underwater. I just kind of freakout.  I'm not sure why though..."

"You went on the boats though!" Yona exclaimed. 

"When I see it I'm not scared. It's only when I'm, like, underwater."

The moment I started thinking about it my hands started to shake.

"You don't have to talk about it. I'll just make sure you won't fall into any water!" Yona said cheerfully.

"Then I have nothing to worry about." I grinned.

"How long was I out?"

"A few hours. I think." 

I heard whispers by the door. I sighed realizing that none of the group had left at all. They were all eavesdropping at the door. I rolled my eyes standing up. I opened the door quickly causing all the dragons to fall backwards.

"I SAID I'M FINE!"

"WHY ARE YOU GUYS HERE!?" Yun yelled at us.

"You left so stealthily, I got worried." Yona answered.

"I accompanied the princess." Kija said with a proud smile.

"Zeno came along with the Blue Dragon's fluff!" Zeno chirped rubbing his face in the fur.

"GO BACK!" Yun yelled at us. I tilted my head confused. 

Why does he care if we follow him into the village?

I yawned.

Whatever. I don't know why I came. I wanna go back to sleep.

Hak and JaeHa bothered Yun about food as he continued yelling at us for following him. I buried my face in Shinha's fur. 

"So soft~" I murmured.

"You can't be here! You'll attract too much attention!" Yun yelled. 

"Well do our best not to!" Yona assured him.

"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! YOU ATTRACT ATTENTION JUST BY BEING ALIVE!"

"This place has sick people and isn't safe. It isn't the kind of place a princess should come to." Yun said clenching his fist while looking down.

"Yun... It is because I am Kouka's princess, and especially because I am King Il's daughter, that I think it is a place I should come to. I want to know the effects of the things my father did." Yona said looking him dead in the eye.

My eyes sparkled while looking at her.

So...

"Cool!"

After convincing Yun we all starting helping out around the village. 

"Where is the village chief?" Some ugly looking dude came in with a bunch of soldiers. 

"Th- The chief is over there..." Yun pushed Yona and I into the bush before running to warn the rest.

"An officer came!" Yun warned yelling at us to hide.

Officer..? 

I thought of the officers from the previous village. The very thought irked me. 

I cracked my neck.

"An officer, huh?" I slammed my fists together.

"You can't pay, you say!? You want to go without paying them again?" The officer barked at an old man who was apologizing on the ground. The officer stepped on the old man's head. 

"That's it-"

"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE YOU LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT I'LL KNOCK SOME SENSE INTO THAT UGLY LOOKING FACE OF YOURS!" I jumped out of the bush and dashed towards the officer.

"HEY!" 

One of the soldiers pulled out his sword. I slapped my hands on the flat sides of the blade and pulled in out of his grip and bent it in half.

I glared at him.

"DIDN'T ANYONE TEACH YALL TO RESPECT YOUR ELDERS?!" I said as i pointed at them. I glared at another soldier who was taking their food. Another was taking a child from the older man.

"Father! NO! LET GO!" The child screeched. At that moment I really snapped.

I gripped the soldier's wrist snapping it. He shirked letting go of the child. I swiftly kicked his face causing him the fall to the floor.  

"Who do you think you are... To separate a child from their own father... Do you want to die?" I said with a dangerous look in my eyes. 

"Who is she!?"

"You're not part of this village!" 

"Who are you!?"

I glared at the chief who ordered for the child to be taken.

"Answer my question. Tell me... Who the fuck you think you are." I titled my head walking over to him slowly. I grabbed the closest soldier who rushed at me by the throat and threw him to the ground.

"Don't stare at my you ugly old man. I asked you a question." I said walking even closer.

"Th-They... Um... Th-the village owes us! It's only right that they pay us back!" He tried to stay composed. 

That's it...

I got ready to punch the man so hard that he wouldn't even have a face anymore. Before I could do anything one of Jaeha's daggers was imbedded in his shoulder causing him to fall. I looked back shooting a glare.

"HEY! That one was mine..." I growled at him. The flames started surrounding my feet. 

Jaeha jumped right next to me. holding my arm tight. One by one the entire group stood up. Hak covered his face with fur. I was too pissed to take the time to laugh. All I was doing was glaring at the officer.

"Are you aware that you are causing havoc in our territory?!" Yona accused as she pointed a finger. The soldiers gave the group a confused look.

"Your territory?"

"Are you bandits!?"

"That's right!! The food over there, that child, and these villager's things all belong to us!! If you understand, turn tail right now and don't come back! You brats!" Yona yelled at them. 

The soldiers looked at the head officer confused about what to do. 

"Ugh... Do you people think you'll get away with doing this?!" The commanding officer groaned from the ground.

"What the hell do you think you're doing? Scram before I fucking kill you." I shot a glare at the man on the ground. 

"If something happens to this village nest time we-"

"-The Dark Dragon..."

"and the Happy Hungry Bunch!"

"Will make you pay for it!"
