Chapter 2

Manami's POV

Thousands of questions were running through my head.

Why was I suddenly falling from the literal sky? How did I get here so quickly? How come I couldn't sense the person who sent me here? What kind of magic was this? Was I far from the alley? Was I going to damage more property from breaking my fall?

As a result of my mental explosion. I did what any normal person would do. I started screaming bloody murder.

The air blew harshly against my face making it hard to breathe. My eyes unintentionally water from keeping them open.

When screaming got too hard I tried creating some fire to break my fall, but because of how fast I was falling and how hungry I was it was too hard to create a fire strong enough. I mentally cursed at myself.

I should've just stayed with the group!

The ground was growing worryingly close. I closed my eyes and covered my face with my forearms and braced myself for a very graceless fall. Thanks to Dragon Slayer Magic my body was more durable than most. With that in mind, I prayed it was enough to prevent me from dying.

But just in time, someone caught me. I gasped in surprise and opened my eyes. I was being held bridal style by a man with green hair.

"Wow, looks like I've caught an angel." He winked at me. I ignored his comment and looked around. We were still high in the air and as we got close to another rooftop the man jumped lightly to another building.

"Hello?" He chirped confused at my silence. I looked at him with a smile.

"Oh sorry! Thanks for saving me! I thought I wasn't going to make it for a second."

He sweatdropped at me before jumping down to an alleyway.

"Your welcome." He grinned back at me as we landed. He set me down in the alleyway.

"So, would you care to explain why you were falling out of the sky?" He asked, I merely shrugged in response.

"Someone touched me and then suddenly I was falling from the sky. But, Mister you must have how did you see me falling? You must have good eye-sight as well! Are you a wizard? What guild are you from?" I bombarded him with questions, I looked him in the eyes looking for answers that might give me a clue to where I was and what happened. He looked down at me with a confused expression.

"Slow down. Are you okay?" He bent down to my height. I gave him a look.

"What do you mean? I'm fine- no I'm great actually! You saved me--Thank you for that again-- I'm just curious." I smiled at him, he sighed and stood up to his full height once again.

"How old are you?"

"Not sure! Think I'm around 14 or 15 though."

He gave me a look that I couldn't decipher.

"Name?"

"Manami Dragneel. You?" I looked at the green-haired man, slightly annoyed that he wouldn't answer my questions

"JaeHa."

"Are you going to answer my questions?"

"Sorry kid, I prefer to stay mysterious." He grinned at me, I pouted. Before I could say anything he jumped up in the air and dashing away. I could've chased after him but I figured it was more important to figure out where I was.

--

My stomach grumbled loudly. I held placed my hand on it with a pout.  I tried thinking about some way to fix my situation. I slapped my face with both my hands in an attempt to focus.

Okay! Let's think!! You are in a place called the Awa Port which was located somewhere called the Earth Tribe, which was one of the five main tribes of the Kouka Kingdom. On top of all this nobody had ever heard of Fiore. Nobody accepts jewels as currency.

You need to find money to get food if you're going to stay here for any longer. You don't know how you got here so you don't know how to get back home. You're on your own, with no money, nowhere to stay, no knowledge of this area...

My thoughts trailed off as my situation become more and more hopeless. I grounded and buried my face in my hands.

"Keep thinking! You have to keep thinking!" I muttered to myself. I bit my lips.

Come on! You are a proud Fairy Tail member! You are Manami Dragneel! Your brother is Natsu...

The image of Natsu's smile flashed through my mind. I held back tears and swallowed dryly.

"Oni-Chan, where are you..." I whispered as my voice cracked. I brought my knees to my face and cried silently. Trying no to draw too much attention to myself. Many people walked by and whispered about me but continued walking.

I took a shaky breath attempting to compose myself. When I looked up my eyes were met by a pair of big purple eyes. I gasped in surprise.

"Are you okay?" She asked concerned, she had red hair that was mostly hidden under her cape.

I quickly wiped my tears and gave her a smile.

"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for asking." I stood up giving my best effort not to shake, the girl wasn't much taller than me.

"I'm Yona, What's your name?" She asked sweetly.

"I'm Manami Dragneel," I answered.

"Are you lost? Why were you sitting there, you seem younger..." I examined Yona's face, she seemed maybe a tiny bit older than me.

"Yes, actually, but nobody knows about where I need to go," I explained with a sigh.

"Are you traveling with anyone? Family? Friends?"

My breath hitched as I thought of Natsu and Happy once again. I looked down at the floor visibly upset.

"My brother, but I can't find him."

Oni-chan, I miss you.

Before we could continue our conversation a tall guy rounded the corner with JaeHa

"Hak, Who is that?" Yona turned and asked the tall guy, who I assumed was Hak.

JaeHa looked and Yona and suddenly collapsed onto one knee. I raised my eyebrow, Is he okay?

I instinctively took a step forward to help him, but Yona placed her hand on his forehead and asked if he was okay.

"Are you okay? You're really warm." Yona asked with concern. Wow, she helps everyone she meets. She's nice...

"Thank you... Young Lady. I'm fine now..."

"Green Dragon... You're the Green Dragon, right?"

My ears perked up, dragon? I mouthed the word.  JaeHa's eyes widened in surprise.

"How do you..?" The tall man, who I assumed was Hak, asked.

"I'm not sure, just a feeling," Yona replied, I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion.

Dragon? JaeHa's a Green Dragon?

After Hak aggressively stops JaeHa from leaving he admits that he's a Green Dragon. Only seconds later a white-haired man with another pretty boy come to the alley calling him the Green Dragon.

"You're the one from the wanted poster? I heard about you from Hak and wanted to meet you. I'm glad you turned out to be the Green Dragon. I'm Yona, what's your name?" Yona had a soft smile on her face as she talked.

"Nice to meet you, I'm JaeHa."

Despite the fact that they had seemingly forgotten I was still here I couldn't help but be drawn to the group. Dragons, could they possible know Igneel? Yona had said she could sense it. Maybe, just maybe, she could help me find Igneel if she can sense Dragons.

Yona and the group continued to converse with JaeHa mentioning things about serving the Red Dragon, how JaeHa wouldn't do that. Yona denying being the Red Dragon. As well as other things about dragons that I couldn't understand. But, the more they talked the more I became interested. These people could be a real lead.

Most of their conversation went through one ear and out the other as I began to be lost in thought. My brain kept thinking about Igneel. I missed him so much, I wanted to see him so bad.

"Princess, who is that?" The pretty boy asked suspiciously eyeing me. I looked up at him. He had a feather in his hair and blue eyes.

"Oh, of course! Sorry, this is Manami."

I nodded my head in acknowledgment. JaeHa looked at me with suspicion.

"So you were with this group. Maybe that explains why you were falling from the sky. You've been playing with dragons." He mused looking down at me.

"I honestly don't understand what's happening anymore," I said to myself with a sigh.

"No, I'm not with this group. I just happened to be talking to Miss Yona. And for god's sake can someone please explain what all this talk of dragons is? It's making my head hurt." I exclaimed exasperated. As immature as it sounded I hated not knowing stuff.

"Not interested. Miss, if you bring Hak to us you can meet our captain. Tomorrow, come to our ship." JaeHa said as he walked away.

--

Yona had explained the Four Dragon myth to me, and somehow I had convinced them to let me stay at there camp. I promised I would be useful.

"You guys are part dragon!? Have you met my dad?" I beamed at Kija and ShinHa hopefully. They gave me a confused look. My eyes sparkled.

Maybe, just maybe...

"He's a dragon too!! His name is Igneel." I explained as I looked at the two boys hopefully. My hands tightened around the bowl of soup in my hands. They all gaped at me.

"He was one of the dragon warriors?" Yoon asked confused. I looked at him and shook my head.

"No, a real dragon. He's really, really big and he's a fire dragon. He has dark red scales and has a scar on his eye like a straight line and he..." I trailed off realizing that they can no idea what I was talking about. They all looked at me in confusion, my excitement died down and I looked at the fire in the middle of us in disappointment.

"Nevermind, I thought maybe..."

"Hey, maybe the dragons can sense him. You know how Kija and ShinHa can sense when another dragon is close." Yona tried to encourage me. My eyes lit up as I looked at Kija and ShinHa.

"I mean maybe..." Kija said scratching the back of his neck.

"Maybe you can travel with us until you find your brother or father." Yona offered much to the shock of the other members of the group.

"No," Hak said with a straight face. I frowned at him, Rude...

"Princess, I understand you like helping people, but Manami will only slow us down. She isn't useful."

"Hak," Yona said his name in disapproval.

I glared at him, offended.

"And how do you know that? Do you want to fight right now? Huh? I'm 100% sure I can beat your ass into the ground in under one minute." I huffed in annoyance, he smirked at me. He was amused by my anger.

"I'm not the kind of person that goes around beating up little girls."

I stood up quickly and brushed off my clothes, took my cape off and started stretching.

"Get up." I fumed at him.

"I told you, I don't want to fight a weak kid." He shrugged and continued to eat. I glared at him.

"Sure you're not scared that this 'little girl' might beat you?"

"Definitely not."

"Get up," I said with a dangerous tone. Yona whispered something in his ear, he gave her a look. She shot him an authoritative glance. He sighed standing up.

"I'll go easy on you." He said monotone.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. I'll show you the power of a Fairy Tail member." I pointed to my guild mark. Hak eyed the mark with interest but shrugged.

"Never heard of such things." He said with a yawn. I frowned, Nobody knows about Fairy Tail either? Where in the world am I?

"So how are we going to decide who wins?" I asked.

"First one to surrender, or knock out." He said.

"Hak, please don't hurt her too much! She's a girl." Yona whisper yelled. I shot an annoyed glance and Yona.

"Miss Yona, I suggest you all don't underestimate me like that. If anything, I need to go easy on him." I spat.

"We'll begin when you're ready, little girl." Hak teased.

Without warning, I ran at him punching with my right hand at an insane speed. He easily dodged to the left and grabbed my wrist with his left hand. I planted my feet on the ground and swept his foot quickly cause him to stumble back but he quickly reacted by yanking my wrist pulling me to the right to throw me. I grabbed the wrist of the hand that was on my right hand and used my momentum of his throw to do a behind the back arm lock. I kneed his back harshly and used my weight to make him fall forward. I dug my knees into his back to prevent him from standing up. Using my other hand I pushed his free hand into the ground.

"Give up or I'll break your arm," I stated with a grin. Hak muttered a string of curses and grunted in an attempt to get up. I pushed up on his arm to make it hurt.

"I'll count to 10."

He continued to struggle.

"9,"

I heard Yona gasp.

"8,"

Hak tried standing up with his legs. I pushed harder with my knees moving one knee to his hand that I was previously holding down with my hand which I previously held down with my right hand.

"6,"

I pushed the back of his head harshly giving him a faceful of dirt.

"Come on, Thunder Beast. Admit your defeat." I said with a sing-song voice, I heard Yoon call him Thunder Beast once.

"4,"

Hak grunted angrily.

"3,2,"

"I give up."

I jumped off his back with a triumphant grin. He stood up quickly slamming my shoulders against a nearby tree.

"Who are you?!" He questioned with suspicion and venom in his voice. I glared at him.

"Hak!" Yona yelled, he held up one hand to silence her.

"I told you already, bitch. I'm a proud member of Fairy Tail." I spat the words at him. He narrowed his eyes and leaned closer to my face. Which frankly made me uncomfortable. His grip around my shoulders tightened. He was strong but not as strong as others I've fought.

"Are you here as some sort of spy? Are you here to sabotage us? Do something to use? Or are you also a pirate like the Green Dragon?" He accused me through a whisper.

I grabbed his wrists with both my hands and squeezed hard, like really hard. He flinched in surprise at my grip.

"No, I told you. I want to travel with you guys till I find who I'm looking for."  I glared, forcing his wrists off my shoulders and pushing him back. He stumbled away from me but grinned.

"Not too shabby," He admitted. I gave a confused look at him shocked by the sudden change of his attitude.

"You're good, I like you." He said with a smile, I quirked my eyebrow.

"You to, if you hadn't underestimated me so much you would've fared better. I appreciate how much you care for Yona. I'll help you guys and you can help me. It's a win-win situation." I smiled back at him. He was interesting. He's strong and has quick reflexes. He has good eyes, never kept his eye off his opponent. Hak was definitely a good fighter.

"Sorry about that, you're very strong." He held up his wrists showing the bruises that were already starting to form.

We ended our conversation and turned back to the group, who were looking at us with stressed and surprised looks on their faces.

"She's not completely useless, I think can bring her along," Hak announced to the group, I laughed lightly.

"Can't say the same about him. He's pretty useless."
