I also found this whole quote that's used in the series which makes me think that sophie was right and that mr. Forkle did know JR Tolkien. Apparently he had a lot of mental problems like schizo. Which makes me think that in the book it was all an act and that he was really a elf or a person who knew and his purpose  was to make humans not belive in the real world even more. Idk, I'm just crazy.
