Sleepover Chapter

**Jolie P.O.V.**

Jolie was lying to herself. She laughed and smiled and talked to everyone, all the while trying to look at Aiden.

Aiden.

It had been easy enough to lie, pretend that Caden was him. After all, they looked practically the same. But her heart was aching. He was scared of her. He didn't want her anymore. She glanced at him hesitantly. He didn't even turn his head.

Jolie had come to the sleepover in hopes of making amends. At the very least with the small hope that he'd forget all about the fact he was scared of her.

She'd come with the hope of proving she was just as elvin as he was. Jolie wore a silvery gold nightgown, something flashy but not..too flashy. How on earth can he not see me?

Jolie knew exactly why.

Because he wasn't looking.

"Oh well, love is overrated anyways." she muttered.

Even better, her attempts to make him jealous had one resulting in other people getting jealous of her.

It's not like that, she wanted to tell them, I'm...

Using him.

She felt a twinge of discomfort at the thought. Because it was the truth. She was using Caden to make Aiden jealous. She inched a little farther away from Caden. This was cruel to him, and to Hydra. Jolie sighed. One more night. And if he doesn't notice, then..it doesn't matter. I can't do this to Caden.

One more night.

**Yuna P.O.V.**

"Hey Daffodil, how are you?" Yuna asked.

Daffy shrugged her shoulders. There were defined dark circles under her eyes that looked like the purplish bruises you'd get from fights. Yuna felt guilty. With so much going on she forgot to check in on her sister, and Daffy seemed to have some troubles as well.

Daffy wore a summery yellow dress with a corseted top and flowy skirt. Her hair tumbled around her shoulders like a messy waterfall. Yuna suddenly felt self-conscious. Her blond hair was in soft waves and she was wearing a fluffy white sweater with those weird strings hanging off and the only jeans she could find in her closet. Compared to Daffy, she looked like a disaster.

They headed inside Oceans Large mansion and into the living room. People were laughing and chatting, their cheeks glowing with happiness. Daffy mumbled to Cara and Yuna sat down to chat with Livvy and Loli.

"GUYS, GAME TIME!!" Star announced.

Astrid grabbed the glass bottle after Star announced the game.

"Hey." Damian said, plopping down next to Yuna.

Yuna blushed. "Hi." she said meekly.

The bottle swirled around in hypnotizing circles until it landed on Will. Astrid pecked Will on the cheek and sat back down, her cheeks coloring slightly. She also proceeded to peck Neil on the cheek, Emmie tensing as they did so. Then, it's Axel's turn. He spins the bottle apprehensively, till it lands on Daffy.

FIRST PERSON MODE, ACTIVATED (Insert Sailor moon transformation)

I squeeze her hand as I notice her state of uncomfortableness. Ace lands on Hydra and I can just see the nerves radiating off of her.

They lightly kiss and her eyes water up with tears as she sits back down. Then, everyones eyes are on me. I take the bottle in my hands.

Not ignis not Ignis not Ignis, I chant in my head. But like the cliche world we live in, of course, it landed on Ignis.

I didn't want to look like a fool in front of so many students, but my dread was almost enough to make me run out of the room. I lean forward slightly and curl my fists, digging my nails into my palm. Then, he flinched away. I abruptly sat back, trying to angle my face away as the world turned blurry. Caden landed on Cara and Annabel landed on Ignis.

I didn't care who Ignis kissed, I tried to tell myself. Annabel kissed Ignis for at least three seconds. Although he looked slightly uncomfortable, he didn't do anything. He flinched away from me like I was some disgusting being, then he kissed Annabel.

"Ok we get it!" Loli yelled, practically dragging Ignis away. I grab the bottle again, determined for success. But of course, I wasn't blessed.

I pass an awkward look to Jolie as Aiden leans in. His lips brushed my cheek and I fought hard to resist a flush. Star almost purposely landed on Axel and there, shall we call it a peck, was more than returned. The new girl Nerra lands on Aiden and puckered her lips like she's some diva from the magazines. Daffy landed on Damian and he kissed her on the cheek, swiftly but gently.

Austin grumbled something. "Owww, what the hell." He said to Hydra.

"What the hell to you for getting angry when you broke her heart." She replied, her face like a slap. Austin shrank down in his seat. Then Damian's roll landed on me. My heart thudded out of my chest. For a moment, im paralyzed. He leaned in and our lips brushed. My whole body tensed, then relaxed.

I sit back down and play with my fingers. "I can't believe you kissed that girl." Axel said.

"Whatever." Said Ace. I clenched my fists, they were talking about Hydra.

"She wasn't even a good kisser." Ace mumbled .

Then, like the god he is, Caden walked in. "HEY LOSERS!!" He yelled. "Say one more thing about her and I'll mess you up good."

"Gonna save your girlfriend." Sneered Ace. Caden threw a left hook and punched him in the face. "Hey, it's alright, I can fight my own battles."

Hydra said as an adorable look of determination flashed across her face."I don't wanna hear you bad talking to me when you're the one who kissed me on the lips. Shut it or a black eye won't be the only problem."

"Nice one water girl." Caden said.

I dashed after Ace and Axel.

"What is wrong with you twerps? You so desperately want to look good in front of everyone, so you act like everythings not a big deal and it's always someone else's fault. Well guess what, it's your fault. Now get over it." I snapped.

"Woah woah pretty girl." Axel said, waving his hands around.

"If you ever call me that again, I'll slap you so hard you won't remember who your own mama is. That's a warning." I said, glaring death.

"Hey." Ignis said, running his hands through his hair.

"Hello." I replied, crossing my arms and looking into his eyes.

"I just wanted to say sorry." He said uncomfortably.

"Oh that's all right, I forgive you." I said, smiling.

"Really!?" He said, his face lighting up.

"Of course not you idiot. One lame apology doesn't make up for a whole ton of crap." I said, doing a silent victory for my snappy comebacks. Truth or dare is a montage of kiss your crush or do the chicken dance.

Livvy even made me yell "I LOVE ENCHILADAS" until everyone started crying from laughter. Things were starting to look up, and I was glad for it. After hours of chatting, mixing nachos with ice cream and pouring orange juice on each other, it was more then time for bed. I settled into my sleeping bag, and wished for good dreams.

"YaaAAAaaAAAwn!" I stretched my arms out, shakily standing up. I head over to the stables, seeing my Alicorn in one of the stalls. "Hey girl." I pur, petting her silky coat. Suddenly, I feel smoke in my lungs. I hack a bit, my legs feeling shaky and wobbly. Then I notice the roaring flames surrounding the stables.

"HELP!!!" I scream, pressing my back against the wooden stable door. Wooden!!!

"Yuna!" Someone screamed. Hazy figures run outside, screaming. A large wave crashes down on me. I sputter out water, my lungs confused with the sudden change from smoke to water.

"Where is he?!" Cloaked men yelled. I ran out of the stables, my alicorn running free. "Her!" One of them said, looking at me.

"Stay back!" I screamed. He froze, stuck in place. I slowly advanced, fear growing larger by the second. A sharp pain in my leg drew out a scream. A throwing star had nailed me in the shin.

"Take that!" Loli screamed, flames shooting from her fingertips. I ducked from the flames, tripping over the ground. Legs gave in, the searing pain too much to bear. A strong body picked me up, then.... nothing.

**Hydra P.O.V.**

The sleepover. It was like a huge popularity mash up of nerves. Basically, living hell. I wore a light blue fuzzy sweater dress over my silky nightgown. I arrived with Molly, Will, and surprisingly Emmie was allowed to come. Ocean greeted us.

"Hi guys, glad you could make it! Food is in the kitchen dining area, and a movie is in the living room. We're gonna gather and play some games soon!"

When Ocean says this I immediately freak out. By games she means spin the bottle or truth or dare. We walk inside. Some people are in pajamas but some are in normal clothes. I spot Jolie and Caden talking. Jolie keeps glancing over at Aiden but he's too busy to notice.

"Why don't you go say hi to your boyfriend." Said Emmie, wiggling her eyebrows at Caden.

"Ew." Says Will.

I look at Emmie. We both start giggling and Will grumbles, "Girls."

I elbow Emmie as Neil walks over. He takes her hand and leads her over to the movies. I watch them go. There so perfect together, I hope one day that will be me. Will goes over to Ivy and Molly makes a beeline for Lea, leaving me alone. After a few deep breaths my gaze lands on Caden. Jolie seems to have stopped glancing at Aiden, and she shifts her attention to Caden. They laugh together and their fingers brush. The light flush on Jolie's cheeks irritates me. Before I can contemplate why Ocean walks over. She plops down next to Caden, so close their knee's touch. Jolie's gaze flickers in annoyance. I almost laugh. I wonder how this will go down.

"GUYS, GAME TIME!!" Stars' loud voice bellows.

We all gather in a circle. I'm sitting next to Emmie. "Ok guys, rules are if you land on someone you have to kiss them on the lips or cheek unless they aren't your preferred gender. If they aren't you can just hug them." Avery smiles at this.

"Who wants to go first?" Asks Star. Astrid raises her hand. She eagerly grabs the bottle and spins it. It slows to a stop in front of Will. Ivy's fists clench a little as Astrid reaches over and pecks Will on the cheek.

"Relax Vee, I don't even know her." Mutters Will, though his cheeks are slightly flushed. Astrid proceeded to kiss Neil on the cheek as well. I felt Emmie tense beside me.

Then Axel goes. Star holds her breath, hoping it will land on her. Then it rolls to a stop in front of Daffy. Axel leans over and kisses her. She squirms away just as he moves forwards. I feel bad for Daffy. Then Ace spins.

The bottle spins deviously towards me. My heart stops. The bottle stops in front of me. Emmie squeezes my hand as Ace leans forwards. My head inches back as Satan himself leans in. His lips press against mine for what feels like an eternity. When he pulls away his face is neutral. Tears prick my eyes. Some random guy was my first kiss and he doesn't even care about me.

Yuna spins and lands on Ignis. He backs away when she tries to kiss him and her flush is obvious. Next, Caden rolls.

I kind of hope it's me. I quickly thwack that thought out of my head but it lands on Cara. She looks nervous. He reaches over and kisses her on the cheek. From the light blush on her face, I hope we don't have another member in the Caden Fanclub.

Then Annabel lands on Ignis. Yuna's discomfort is obvious. She fidgets as Annabel leans in. They kiss on the lips for like five seconds. I'm pretty sure everyone is weirded out. "Ok we get it!" Yells Loli. They break apart and glare at her. Yuna tries her hand at the bottle and gives it a quick sharp spin. It lands on Aiden. He shrugs and gives her a quick kiss on the cheek. Yuna looks uncomfortable and shares a look with Jolie. Star decides to spin the bottle. Axel is near her so she gives the smallest spin ever, more like a jerk, and it lands on him. She smiles charmingly and he leans in. He kisses her and she kisses back. He jerks back a little in surprise. They break apart and Ocean squeals. Next Nerra goes. She's Loli and Ignis's adopted sister. She's new to foxfire. She has her eye's on Aiden as it spins and magically it lands on him. 

Jolie's face turns red and Caden grabs her hand. My insides burn as Jolie smiles at Caden like he's god on earth. Daffy spins and gets Damian. He kisses her on the cheek quickly and she flushes.

Austin grumbles but I pinch him hard. "Owww, what the hell." He murmurs.

"What the hell to you for getting angry when you broke her heart." Austin shrinks down in his seat and I turn away. "Wow baby sis, that was a good one." Says Emmie. "OOoooooOOOOoooh." I hear. Yuna and Damian kiss softly on the lips. They hold on for a millisecond too long before they back away. Daffy looks down and tears prick her eye's. Hold on, ship wars? Before I can contemplate the game has ended. I quickly stand up and go over to the snack corner. "I can't believe you kissed that girl." Says Axel. I gasp. They're talking about me. "Whatever." Says Ace. Hot tears run down my face as they talk about me. "She wasn't even a good kisser." Says Ace. Caden walks in. He hears what they say and his face softens. "HEY LOSERS!!" He yells. They turn and see my red face, covered in tears. "Say one more thing about her and I'll mess you up good." Says Caden. "Gonna save your girlfriend." Sneers Ace. Caden punches him in the face. "Hey, it's alright, I can fight my own battles." I say to Caden. "I don't wanna hear you bad talking to me when you're the one who kissed me on the lips. Shut it or a black eye won't be the only problem." When I finish Ace and Axel look at each other. They turn and walk away, Ace clutching his black eye. "Nice one water girl." Says Caden. I high five him and walk away, proud of myself.

**Ocean P.O.V.**

Truth or dare was starting. I was hoping to sneak a kiss with Caden in spin the bottle but we'd just have to figure that out after. Truth or Dare started so I sat down next to Caden. He looked angry and kept glancing at Ace and Axel. "Is something wrong?" I ask, touching his hand. "Nah, just those two were being a jerk to Hydra." He says. "Hey, don't let them get to you, let's just have fun." He smiles at me and my heart melts a bit. "I'll go first!" Says Star. "Nerra, truth or dare!" Nerra looks around. "Ooh, tough one, I'll go with dare." Star rubs her hands together. "I dare you to kiss Aiden!" She says. Aiden laughs as Nerra awkwardly waddles over to him. Jolie looks heartbroken. Caden places a hand on her shoulder and she cozies into it. My heart twinges. Avery notices this and carefully pinches Jolie's arm. She yelps and thwacks her head into his jaw. "Sorry." She mutters, looking down as Nerra and Aiden kiss. "NEXT!" I yell and Aiden gives Caden an annoyed look. "I'll go." He says. "Caden, truth or dare." "Dare." He says. "I dare you to," The sly grin on Aidens face makes me uncomfortable and I put my hand on Cadens. "Kiss Jolie." I sneer as Caden blushes. Star and Avery give Aiden the death glare. Caden turns his head and kisses Jolie. It's soft yet sweet and makes my limbs boil. When they break apart Aidens face flashes with devastation for a second. He still has feelings for Jolie. This I can use to my advantage. The rest of truth or dare was basically a bunch of kissing and a few people dancing while singing "YEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWW" Which I found painfully funny. Then, my twin sister saved the day. "Caden, kiss Ocean." Says Avery. I give a dainty blush as he turns towards me. I lean in as he kisses me. It's probably one of the best moments of my life. I'm sad when it ends. Jolie looks at me from across Caden. We both narrow our eye's. This is going down.

**Daffy P.O.V.**

Cara tapped me signaling it was my turn to spin the bottle. I give it a hard spin, it lands on this boy. Cara whispers to me "That's Damian, you don't know him". I nod and give him a quick kiss on the cheek. He gives me a quick smirk and makes a neutral face again. I don't blush. I kept my face looking natural. Damian raised his eyebrow and gave a surprising look. I just roll my eyes at him. I look up and see Austin looking at me, I glare at him then get up and sit next to Yuna, on the other side. Truth and dare was just about to start. Ok, long story short, Truth or Dare so far was just love triangles. "Daffy, truth or dare" Annabel asks. "Truth" I say, scared of dares. "Ok, did Austin break up with you or did you break up with him?" She asks, everyone knows that she knew the answer but was just trying to push it. "Um." I feel tears coming out. "Ok that's enough Annabel" Damian says. I give him a thankful smile and he returns the favor with a wink. I see Yuna with an uncomfortable look on her face, that's weird, it's the look she has when something happens with a boy. I shrug off the thought and continue to play the game. "Hydra truth or dare?" I ask. "Truth" she says confidently. "Who do you like?" I ask her. Caden looks at her and she says something but we all didn't hear it. "Huh? What did you say?" I said. "I said who I like, but you didn't say how loud I had to say it!". I give her a 'really' look. We all go to sleep soon, in the middle of the night, Cara shakes me awake. It was really warm in the room. I looked around and everyone left already, just me and Cara in the room. We call our parents and try to find a way out. The door was on fire and our only hope was the window. Yuna rushes over and opens the window, she climbs out and lands on the ground. I jump out the window and see a few men pointing at me. "Get her!" They start to chase me and I run. I shoot ice at them and they slip. I run and knock into someone. They push me to the ground and throw something on my shoulder. It pierces my skin and I hear someone saying words to me but I couldn't hear what they were saying. I quickly blackout.

**Caden P.O.V.**

My lips brushed Jolie's, her breath catching. I pull away quickly, triumphantly glancing at Aiden. A hurt look flashes across his face. Regret seeps through me but I hold onto Jolie's hand, because she's my friend and unlike Aiden I won't abandon her. When Star commands me to kiss Ocean I feel surprised. Stars probably just teasing her triplet. After I kiss her I stand up and take a break. My first like ten kisses were here and I'm sure none of them even like me. A few hours later we settle in to sleep. But I can't. When I sit up the moonlight shines through the window. I roll out of my sleeping bag and walk over to the big window. Hydra is standing there, her body a glow in the moonlight. My breath catches at the sight of this ethereal goddess. "G-morning." I say. She raises an eyebrow. "It's four in the morning." She says. "Ah, in the morning." I say. She smiles. I look at her. She looks at me. I lean in, not sure what i'm doing but right before our lips touch a horn goes off outside. "FIRE!!!!!" Someone yells. I quickly grab Hydra's hand and bolt towards the door. She douses anyone in her path in water, waking them up. When we get outside I see their stables are on fire, creeping closer to the house. "Caden-" Hydra starts. "Go!" I tell her, pointing to the stable. She gives me one last desperate look before bolting away to the stable, a current of water flowing behind her. Ocean runs up to me. Her hair is tangled and mascara runs down her face. I clasped her hand. "Go on, you can save them." I said. Ocean gave a determined nod and rushed over. Everyone ran over until me and Jolie were the only ones left. "It's always gonna be us right." She said, "The two of destruction." I said. We held hands as the fire flamed higher and higher. "Thanks." She said. "Anytime." I said. A scream rises in the air. Men and women in black bodysuits descend. "Where is he?" I hear one mutter. Jolie clutched my hand as screams rose in the air. A huge wave put out the fire and Ocean and Hydra both stumble, drained from using their power. "Let's save the day." I said to Jolie. She smiles at me and I wink. We run towards those in danger. Molly is backing away from one of the spy's. They freeze the ground beneath her but I melt it down before punching the spy. Molly grinned at me. "No wonder Hydra l-" Before she can finish one of the spy's grabs her by the throat. "Where is he!" They yell. "Get away from her!" I yell. They drop Molly and run at me. "The boy!" "Um, if you didn't notice there are quite a few boys here, it's a common gender." I said. "I don't appreciate your humor, kid." They say. "Give me some clues, ay?" I say. I beckon them forwards and they send rings of electricity towards me. Cara runs past me carrying a blacked out Daffy. "Help!" She says. Three spy's chase her, throwing stars at her legs. I duck the spy's attack and chase after Cara. The spy's hoodie flashes in my face and I notice a familiar symbol. My stomach sinks. The Neverseen. The Neverseen tackled me to the ground but I flashed flames in their faces. They backed away and I shielded Cara, who has a throwing star sticking out of her leg and her face is pale green. "Cara, stay with me ok." She nodded but her legs started to give away. " A little BACKUP PLEASE?!" I yelled, but everyone is too busy fighting their own battles. My life flashed before my eyes as a throwing star whizzed over to me, prepared to take my head off. Then a burst of water threw the star off course. "Linh!" I shouted. Hydra's mom whizzed past, smacking the Neverseen in the head with water bursts. Cara fainted, her body crumpling next to Daffy. "Bring the unconscious here!" Said Linh. Maruca made a shield around them that crackled with electricity. I ran around, picking up the unconscious and laying them down. Star, Emmie, and Ignis lie down on the grass. Then a burst of flame hit the shield. Josh and Will, who were unconscious, flash awake. "Wha-what's going on?" They asked. "The boy is ours!" Yells one of the Neverseen. Annabel groaned and woke up. Her face paled. Her gaze instinctively circled to Ignis. "What do we do?" Asked Linh. "That's my life story." I mumble. The shield began to crackle, then it broke.

**Annabel P.O.V.**

Oh crap. They found Ignis.

**Damian P.O.V.**

The bottle turns and lands on a girl. She has a cute round face like Yuna's and soft hair. I kiss her cheek and sit back. Spin the bottle was kind of overrated anyway. Then, the bottle lands on Yuna. She freezes up. Dang man, am I really that unlikeable. That's two cute girls clamming up on me. Her lips are soft and her cheeks flame red as we release. Whatever, girls blush all the time, it's like their habit or something. After some truth or dare, I walk over to my sleeping bag. About time I think, as I melt into the soft cotton fabric. "FIRE!!!" Someone screamed.

**Paisley P.O.V.**

Paisley loved sleepovers, well she actually never had one, but this one was great! They played spin the bottle and truth or dare already! When I went to sleep I woke up to "FIRE!!" I got up and went down stairs, well I only made it halfway down the stairs. The walls were on fire and was getting close, she immediately went to wake up Aiden and Caden. Caden's sleeping bag was empty so she went to wake up Aiden. "WAKE UP AIDEN '' She shouts in his ear, he wakes up and asked "w-why? What's happening?". "UM!? FIREEE''I scream. My scream wakes up all the other kids and they quickly stand up. Aiden takes out his imparter and starts to call our parents. We all got outside, far away enough so that we were safe. People start to attack us and I get punched in the face. I passed out. That's gotta leave a mark.
