"Hello everyone, today is the first session of the Spring Ball Committee! I am the head, my names Yuna so lets split into groups of two. Signups are still posted so get your friends to join!" Says Yuna. I look around for familiar faces. Ocean waves at me and I nod back. On my other side Jolie gives me a shy hello. 

Aiden stands on the other side of the room, purposefully not looking at me. "Wanna be partners?" Says Jolie. "Sure." I say. We walk over to one side of the room and wait. Ocean shoots a pouty face when she see's me with Jolie. "Can we be partners next time?" She asks. "Sure." I say. Today, I don't feel like putting much effort into my speech and respond to next to everything with "sure". "Alright everyone, lets brainstorm some decoration theme's, and then we'll take a vote!" 

"We could do a spring themed dance, since it is the spring ball." Suggests Jolie. "We could do a fire dance, that would annoy Aiden though." I say. Jolie giggles. We look at each other for a second before turning back to our work.

Yuna calls us back together and we take a vote. The themes are between spring, jeweled caves and masquerade ball. In the end masquerade ball wins. "Your dress or suit doesn't have to fit a theme but make sure to bring a mask! Says Yuna. (COVID mask lol) "The dance sounds cool." Says Jolie. She tucks a thick strand of hair behind her ear. "I guess." I say. "A-are you..going?" Says Jolie.

I freeze. Is she asking me? "I dunno, normally I go alone." I say. We stand in silence for a moment before she stumbles away.
