Sophie: Wait, that's a thing??

Saph: It is indeed!! Welcome to a new segment I like to call--*throws confetti*--Coming Out With Saph!!!

Dex: Yay?

Saph: Yay indeed. 

Linh: Sounds interesting. 

Tam: Sooooo...how does this work, exactly?

Saph: Oh, it'll be fun. *claps hands* CIRCLE TIME!!

Biana: *sits elegantly on the ground* We haven't done circle time in a while. 

Fitz: *sits as well* Yeah, when was the last one?

Saph: No idea, but I'm too lazy to check. 

Dex: *crosslegged* Fair. 

Keefe: *plops down beside him* *runs his hands across the orange rug* Ooooooo, this is really soft...

Linh: *also running her hands through it* It feels like a hug...

Tam: Pretty sure you've never been hugged by a rug, Linh.

Linh: That's what you think.

Biana: *pats the top of Keefe's head* *rubs the rug* It's softer than Keefe's hair. 

Keefe: *aghast* iT iS nOT!!!!!!

Biana: Tam, come here. 

Tam: Umm...

Biana: Linh, feel Tam's hair. 

Linh: *grinning* No problem.

Tam: *leaning back* Wait a second, there are some consent laws being broken here--

Linh: *rubs Tam's head* *rubs the rug* You know, it's hard to tell. 

Keefe: *points at Linh* Now that is some BIAS!!! 

Saph: I really don't know how we got here, but I'm kinda vibing with it, honestly.

Sophie: Can we circle back to the whole gender being fluid thing??? Becaaaaaaause...

Saph: Oh yeah, there was a purpose to this whole thing, wasn't there.

Dex: There usually is. 

Saph: *raises eyebrows at Dex* You know, you've gotten a lot saltier now. Is it because Tam was gone. 

Tam: *throws his hands up* I was gone for like a month!!!

Sophie: aHEM.

Saph: Right. Point. Okay, let's get the boring part of the way: who doesn't know what being gender fluid means?

Literally everyone: *raises hands* Because shannon sucks at rep hahahahahahahah

Saph: Figured as much. Okay, here we go! *more confetti*

Linh: *picks some up and puts it on Tam's head*

Tam: *brushes it off*

Saph: So basically, being gender fluid is kinda what it sounds like: my gender changes a bunch. Pretty much every day. 

Dex: ....Wow. 

Tam: That sounds exhausting. I can barely think in the morning, much less figure out my entire identity. I don't even feel like a person until at least ten-thirty. 

Linh: It's true. He ran into the counter the other morning. 

Biana: *starts laughing* He what?

Tam: *turns pink* *mutters* That was one time. 

Fitz: *to Saph* So wait. How does that even work? How do you know which you are?

Saph: *shrugs* Gender's a social construct, Fitzy. Some days I fit into the body I was born in. Some days I wear a binder and speak lower without realizing it. Some days I don't really care. Sometimes I change halfway through the day and end up questioning all my life decisions. 

Keefe: *nodding seriously* That's a mood, bro. 

Saph: *narrows eyes* Did you just...

Dex: I swear that one's not my fault. 

Saph: I--*puts hands up* You know what--not even gonna go there. 

Sophie: Okay so wait--sometimes you're a girl, sometimes you're a boy, sometimes you're...

Saph: Neither.

Sophie: Right. But that still doesn't explain how you know. 

Saph: How do you know you're a girl, Sophie? Aaaaaand I realize I've never said your name, and that feels weird. Anyway, how does anyone know what they are?? Would I have an aversion to dresses as a boy if we hadn't grown up in a society that separated those two things?

Keefe: *raises hand* I've worn a dress before. 

Saph and Sophie: You have???

Keefe: Yeah. It was pretty fun. Fitzy wore one too. 

Biana: *whips around to look at Fitz* And you never told me this????

Fitz: I didn't think it was a big deal! Granted, I wasn't a fan of it, but that was more of the way it felt than any social things Saph was talking about. 

Keefe: *stage whispers to Dex* He looked really good, too. 

Tam: *to Fitz* Wait, what color was Keefe's?

Fitz: *grins* Bright pink. 

Keefe: S'cuse me, Fitzy--it was hot pink. Because hot pink plus hot Keefe equals *snaps dramatically* Fabulous. 

Biana: You go, girl. 

Linh: *softly* I've always wanted to wear a suit...

Tam: *nudges her* You should've told me. We were just in Atlantis the other day--I could've gotten you one. 

Fitz: *turns to Sophie* You don't like super fancy dresses, right? Have you ever considered suits?

Sophie: I--no, not really. 

Saph: They're really nice. 

Dex: I might try a dress--but no high heels. I'd definitely trip and die. 

Tam: I bet I can look better in a dress than Keefe. 

Keefe: Oh, you're on, and also very wrong. 

Biana: Next sleepover, this is happening--agreed??

Dex: Hey, now that Fitz isn't waiting for Sophie anymore to get his lists, we can do it at his Winnowing Gala. 

Saph: I really need to be there for that. 

Fitz: Can you even get to the Lost Cities? I mean, you're human. 

Saph: I'm also an everchanging fanperson with enough magic to create a living space fit with a couch and tv, sparkly confetti, and a huggable rug. I'll find a way. 

Dex: She has a point. *frowns* They? He?

Saph: He, currently, but I guess that's something else we should discuss. Now that you guys know about all this, I'll probably put my pronouns on the big title sign, so you guys know--and if you mess up, that's okay. That goes for you guys too <3 *claps* Now, does anyone else have anything to confess?

Tam: It's kinda hard to tell what's confession worthy to you, since we don't have the same societal pressures as you do. 

Saph: Fair enough. Anyone like people of the same gender?

Biana: *raises hands* Girls are kind cute. 

Fitz: *mutters* I knew it. 

Keefe: Everyone's cute. Boys. Girls. Saw this nice looking rock once. Real sparkly and whatnot. 

Dex: I know you didn't just imply you'd date a rock. 

Keefe: I definitely didn't not imply it. 

Linh: *nudges Tam* *trying to hide a smile* Can I tell them?

Tam: *sighs and buries his head in his hands* Sure. 

Linh: *beaming* Tam had a boyfriend before we were banished. 

Keefe: *stares in awe* Someone dated TAM???

Saph: Keefe, there's several people willing to date him. 

Sophie: Am I the only straight one here??

Dex: Considering I don't like anybody, and Fitzy has been awfully quiet...possibly, yes. 

Saph: That's if you're even straight at all. 

Sophie: *little too quickly* I am. 

Keefe: *fans the air* Yep, definitely. 

Linh: *smiles at everyone* I like Circle Time. 

Saph: Circle Time is now a staple of the reacts series. It has been Linh approved. 

Linh: Yay!

Saph: And wow, look at the time. Let's wrap this up, shall we? Everyone say bye, and you guys can go shopping for new outfits for Fitz's Winnowing Gala!!

Everyone: BBBBBBBBBBBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. That was interesting, wasn't it?

The main reason I did this was to "introduce the characters" to my changing pronouns, so I could use them in future reacts and not break the continuity of the series. Aaaaand I snuck in some LGBTQ+ kotlc rep for you guys, cuz god knows we're not getting it from Shannon. And yes, I have kind of created my own kotlc universe. Sue me.
