Chapter 3

Hermione's pov

Harry, Ron and Hermione were at the burrow for the summer and there were two weeks left until school. Hermione was walking downstairs with Ginny, discussing the upcoming school year when they heard a clatter in the kitchen. Hurrying down the rest of the way they were greeted with the site of Mrs. Weasley standing buy the sink, letter in hand and mouth agape, "Mrs. Weasley, is everything alright?" Hermione asked, concerned.

"Yes, dear everything is fine. A letter just arrived from Hogwarts. Transfer students from a school called Foxfire are going to be joining you for a year."

"What?" said Ginny, a confused look adorning her face, "I've never heard of Foxfire."

"Well of course you haven't. It's a non-magical school." Responded Mrs. Weasley.

"I think it will be fun." Hermione said as Harry and Ron joined them in the kitchen.

"What do you think will be fun?" Harry asked overhearing.

"Oh, Mrs. Weasley just got a letter that some transfer students from a school called Foxfire will be joining us at Hogwarts this year." She responded.

Harry looked at her, doubtful that it wasn't going to be as fun as she said it would be and said, "Yeah, well last time we had visitors Voldemort rose and Cedric died." He said bluntly. Everyone flinched at the mention of Voldemort.

"Oh, Harry," Hermione said sympathetically  this won't be like the tri-wizard tournament. I promise."
