Your Smallest Fan | Lemmy x Singer!Reader

Requested by _Amayla_ a LONG time ago. Quite a few people have requested Lemmy actually so I thought I should do one already lol!  Fortunately for all of us, I had a surge of motivation and inspiration! Sorry I kept you waiting this long, I hope this chapter will be worth the wait--it probably won't be lol--and even if it isn't, I hope you at least enjoy it! Writing for Lemmy is pretty hard because I headcanon him being pretty young, and young kiddos shouldn't really be in relationships but I tried my best anyhow!

Lemmy waited anxiously. His favorite opera singer, [Y/N] was holding a concert tonight and he couldn't wait to see it. Lemmy was your biggest fan. Well, more like your smallest fan. Your strong, beautiful voice was mostly enjoyed by adults rather than other children. You were a child prodigy and about his age, he found you very inspiring. He had watched every single one of your previous performances online because he was too young to go in person by himself and no one was willing to take him.

But this time was different. After lots of begging--he even had to bring out his puppy dog eyes--his big brother Roy eventually caved in and agreed to take him to your upcoming concert.

And now that he was here, it was pretty overwhelming. There were so many adults in the fancy venue. Lemmy felt nervous, like he was secretly being judged by the stuffy grownups but he would persevere if it meant he had the slightest chance of meeting you. They had brought some small snacks from home and Lemmy was anxiously stress-eating. Roy sensed his apprehension. "Look little buddy, there's nothin' to worry about, ok? It's just a concert, no big deal."

Lemmy nodded and adjusted his bowtie and waistcoat. Roy would know, he's done plenty of concerts before. But this was different. Roy's concerts were more crazy and laid-back while this concert was formal and elegant. Lemmy continued stress-eating.

Lemmy and Roy were sitting in an opera box with a few other aristocrats. While Roy rambunctiously struggled to fit his fat butt into the small box seat, Lemmy looked down upon the stage. He was so high up and he gawked at the other patrons below. It didn't frighten him--he rode in airships multiple times before--but it was still different from what he was used to.

As the lights dimmed in the elegant theater, a single spotlight illuminated your figure on stage. Lemmy was feeling very excited but also very nervous. He hoped you would be able to see him. When the chatter in the theater ceased, you began to sing.

He had literally no idea what the heck you were saying. The guy that was sitting behind Roy--who had been whispering not-very nice things about him to the person next to him--whispered that you were singing a song called "Ha! Welch' ein Augenblick!" from an opera called Fidelio that was supposedly written by Ludwig. This surprised Lemmy, he didn't know you were a fan of his brother's work. He sighed deeply. He was doomed to live forever in the shadows of his famous elder brothers.

Despite this realization, your voice was so beautiful and captivating. Your performance left him on the edge of his seat.  You had so much talent for being such a young kiddo. It felt as if you were singing to Lemmy and he swore you were looking at him the whole time. And before he knew it, the whole performance was over. Just like that.

"Hey Lemmy, earth to Lemmy!" Roy probed when Lemmy hadn't moved in his seat for a while. "Dat was….words cannot descwibe what I am feewing! It was magical! Stupendous! Magnifice--"

"Ok, ok, I get it. You enjoyed yourself. If you liked it that much, I'll have to take ya to anotha one a [Y/N]'s concerts sometime." Roy chuckled, struggling to get back out of the seat. After the two of them exited the theater, Roy sat Lemmy on his shoulders.

Lemmy patted Roy's head. "You better take me to another one! Dat's sounds wike a pwomise to me Mr.!"

"He--"

"Wait, do you hear that?" Lemmy interrupted when they got outside. Roy listened too and they both concluded that someone was crying. He turned his head and saw you sitting on the curb with your legs hugged to your chest. You were crying softly, hoping no one would hear.

Roy let Lemmy off of his shoulders and they walked over to you slowly. You peeked from behind your arm just a tad and saw two Koopalings coming toward you, one of them you remembered from your performance. You began to internally panic. What were their intentions? Would they try to kidnap you? It was dark and there were no witnesses, you had made yourself a painfully easy target. You needed to make a run for it. Lemmy gently tapped your shoulder.

You immediately got up to run but Roy grabbed your arm. The force from being pulled back so abruptly made you scream.

"Hey! Be gentle with her!" Lemmy scolded.

"What!? She was the one who was tryin' to run away!" Roy retorted.

You stopped kicking and screaming for a moment. You opened your eyes and realized that a car had driven by. If Roy hadn't stopped you, you would've been hit by it in your blind attempt to escape.

You sighed. "Thank you, thank you for saving me."

"Eh, don't mention it." Roy replied, setting you down back on the ground.

"Why were you cwying?" Lemmy asked.

"My mother wasn't here to pick me up after my performance. She still isn't here, I-I think she forgot about me…" You explained, you felt the tears starting to flow again.

"What makes you say that?" Lemmy asked.

"I called her and she said she was at my big brother's performance, she told me to wait and that she would come for me afterwards. I knew she always loved him more th-than me, she's willing to make me wait in the cold at night, I could easily get kidnapped! No matter what I do, I'll always just be in his shadow...l" You cried, spilling more information than you intended to.

Lemmy got a small packet of tissues out of his pocket and offered one to you.

You thanked him and then took a big blow.

Lemmy looked to Roy, sending telepathic messages to help you. However that wasn't exactly how Roy's empathic telepathy worked. He could sense that his brother was anxious, sympathetic and a tad desperate though. He sighed.

"Well, we could give you a wide if you want, you should call your Mom to tell her where you'll be dough." Lemmy offered.

You thought for a moment. You knew you should never take rides from strangers, but they were just kids like you and you didn't know how long it would be till your mother came to pick you up. Besides, they instructed you to inform your mother of where you'd be, which is something a kidnapper would never do.

After sending a quick text to your mom--she unsurprisingly didn't pick up the phone when you called--you got into the backseat of Roy's purple Rolls Royce.

When Roy was buckled up in the driver's seat, he slammed his foot on the gas and you were off.  You told him what hotel you were staying at but it would still take some time to get there.

Roy had the top down on his car and the wind flowing through your [hair length] [hair color] felt nice and relaxing.

"Ya know, "Lemmy began, "I kinda know how you feel, you know, about wiving in an older sibwing's shadow and all that."

"Really?" You asked smugly.

He nodded. "You know Ludwig von Koopa?"

Your face brightened just a tad, you didn't want to get too excited. Roy stifled a chortle from the front seat. "Yeah, of course. I mean, I don't know him, know him, but I am a fan of his work."

"So I've heard: he's my oldest bubby." He told you.

"No way." You denied.

He sighed. "Yeah, it's true. And da fact dat you didn't know dat is pwoof dat I wive in my brother's shadow. I know how you feel."

"Wow…" You replied, it was all you could really say.

"Hey [Y/N]?" Lemmy asked.

"Yeah?" You replied.

"I was wondewing if maybe...we could be fwiends? I'm pwetty sure being a famous celebity can get pwetty wonewy…." He added.

He was right. You didn't really have many friends. And most of your fans were adults so you didn't really get to interact with other children. If you declined, you didn't know when you'd get another chance to make a friend.

"What do you want from me, hmmm?" You interrogated.

"Noding, I am a prince, ya know? You don't have anything that I couldn't just get myself." He replied smugly.

"Touché. What's your name again?" You asked.

"Lemmy, L-lemmy Koopa." He replied. The car suddenly came to an abrupt stop in front of your hotel.

"We're here!" Roy announced.

"Again, thanks for the ride." You said thankfully. You looked toward the hotel, but didn't leave your seat.

Roy honked the horn loudly. "Aye, Space Cadet [Y/N], we don't have all night!"

Lemmy handed you a black flip phone with rainbow illuminated keys. "Put in your number, I just got a TNT Docomo for my birdday, so you can text or call me whenever you want!"

You quickly typed it in--well as fast as you could on a flip-phone--and handed it back but you still didn't really wanna go. But you knew you had to. You quickly gave Lemmy a hug before hastily exiting the car and running to the front entrance of the hotel. He waved goodbye to you before driving away.

As you quietly entered the hotel, your phone buzzed in your pocket. You checked it and there was a message from Lemmy. You smiled, staring at the message before typing your reply.

And there you have it folks! Btw: Never accept rides from total strangers, it ain't smart ya'll.

Btw TNT Docomo is a parody of TTN Docomo, a popular Japanese cellphone company. Their flip phones are so sleek, and aesthetically pleasing to look at uwu 😍, you can look them up if you want!

I hope you enjoyed this chapter, don't forget to like if you did! If you have a specific character, scenario, etc. you'd like to see, comment on the request page! You never know, I just might do it 😉 and it never hurts to ask! Have a nice day/night!
