When You Get Injured

Scenario requested by EllieBakai, a reader who sprained their ankle sometime ago, but fortunately has healed! W's in the chat for EllieBakai lol

YBFF - Your BFF. This is a placeholder for their name, like [Y/N] is for the reader

Bowser Jr.'s new name is Ryuuji (sometimes affectionately shortened to RJ) btw so if you're confused, that's who that is.

As always, if you enjoyed this chapter, votes, positive comments, and shares are all greatly appreciated 😊

LUDWIG

"Alright, [Y/N], you're up!"

You dragged your feet to the home base. You didn't want to kick, but the teacher insisted that everyone would get a chance to do so. You only wished you'd mentally prepared yourself a little bit more before it was your turn.

It was YBFF's turn to pitch. They bounced the ball in their hands and mouthed, "Good luck."

They lowered the ball to the ground and quickly rolled it to you. Without much thought, you kicked it with all the might you could muster. To your surprise, it flew farther than you thought it would.

Suddenly, all of your teammates began screaming at you to run, so you did. You ran past 1st, 2nd, and 3rd base while your opponents hopelessly chased after the ball.

You set your sights on the coveted home base. You were nearly there. You couldn't believe that you, of all people, would be the first one on your team to score a clean home run.

Without warning, you felt a sweaty body slam into you from the side. You crashed onto the grass with a loud oomph.

When you opened your eyes, you saw YBFF standing above you, calling your name.

"What...happened?" You asked.

"Veronika's fat ass slammed you into the ground and you lost consciousness for a bit. Are you okay?" They explained. You heard an indignant "Hey!" radiate from a distance.

"I-I think so." You replied as you scrambled to your feet.

"That was quite a fall you had there. You should get checked out in the nurse's office to make sure you're good to go." Coach Nizzola insisted.

"I can take them, Coach! They'll need an escort just in case they collapse on the way there or something." YBFF volunteered a little too desperately.

The two of you made your way to the nurse's office.

The lights of the nurse's office were dimmed and the curtains were closed. Calm classical music played quietly in the background. The office seemed to be empty.

"Hello?! Is anyone here?" YBFF called out.

"Just a moment!" You heard a male voice reply.

Ludwig emerged from the supply closet, offering the two of you a bright smile.

"The nurse stepped out for a bit, but I'm running things in her stead. What can I help you two with?"

YBFF suddenly started fidgeting with their hair and avoiding eye contact. "My friend here took a nasty fall in gym class today. They even, like, passed out so Coach Nizzola insisted that they see the nurse."

"...And now that I think about it...I'm feeling a little dizzy myself, maybe I should stick around..." They added.

"Dizziness? What kind of dizziness?" Ludwig inquired.

You snickered because you knew that YBFF was being a bitch-ass liar (and you meant that in the friendliest way possible) and you were eager to see how they would weasel their way out of this one.

"I-I don't know..." They stammered. "I was just running around outside with the rest of the class and I started feeling a little woozy I guess..."

Ludwig hummed thoughtfully as he glanced toward the window.

"It does seem a bit hot out today. Perhaps you're a bit dehydrated. It's very important to hydrate, you know."

"Yeah...I know..." They giggled sheepishly.

"I'll fetch you a cup of cold water. As for you--My apologies, I'm getting all turned around. What is your name?"

Before you could answer, YBFF blurted out, "I'm YBFF and this is [Y/N] [L/N]."

"And I'm Ludwig, in case you weren't aware. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintances, although I would prefer if we met in a more...lighthearted situation."

"[Y/N]," He said, which surprised you for some reason. He pronounced your name with such elegant precision that he could've fooled anyone into thinking you were some important hot shot and not some high school kid who probably had a concussion.

"I'm going to conduct a simple examination to make sure you didn't suffer a lethal concussion during your fall. In the meantime, feel free to take a seat anywhere while I gather a few things." He explained before disappearing into the supply closet once more.

You and YBFF sat side-by-side in the plastic chairs in front of the shelves. You picked up one of the little hourglasses filled with different colored oil droplets. When you flipped it upside down, the green and blue oil bubbles floated to the top. When you flipped it the other way, they floated to the new "top".

"Mesmerizing, isn't it?" Ludwig said, bringing you out of your own little world. "I'm a little embarrassed to admit that those little things can keep me occupied for longer than they probably should!"

Ludwig handed a small cup of water to YBFF. They thanked him and proceeded to take the tiniest sip you've ever seen.

He pulled on some purple gloves and sat down in a rolling desk chair, clipboard in hand. He used his legs to roll the chair over to you until your knees were almost touching.

You wished he wouldn't get so close, though. You had just been running around outside in the hot sun moments before, and you were sure you didn't smell nearly as pleasant as he did.

"Alright, [Y/N]. This will be quite a simple procedure, so there's no need to be nervous. I'm just going to ask you a few questions and perform a few tasks to ensure everything is working properly. Are you ready to begin?"

You nodded. You had been nervous, but his voice was so calm and soothing that all your anxiety melted away.

"Can you tell me today's date, including the day of the week, the month, and the year?"

"Good." He replied when you answered correctly.

He scooted back a bit. "Can you tell me the time shown on the clock?" You answered correctly.

"Good job. It seems not many young people can still read analog clocks these days." He said, causing your lips to part into a smile against your will.

"Now, I'm going to say a list of words and you must repeat them back to me. Okay?"

You nodded. As he recited the list of words, you found yourself distracted by his lips. They looked so soft, you wondered what they would feel like on the back of your hand or the tender skin of your neck. You wondered what it would feel like to be passionately kissed by them. Then you wondered why the heck people started kissing in the first place? Like, who's bright idea was it to put their mouth on another person's mouth?

"[Y/N], it's your turn to repeat the list." Ludwig prompted, pulling you out of your fantasy.

You buried your flushed face in your hands. "I...I..I'm sorry, I totally blanked out."

Ludwig hummed thoughtfully as he jotted something down on his clipboard.

"Perhaps we should try this again. Please do try to remain focused. I'm going to say a sequence of numbers and you must repeat them to me backwards. Are you ready?"

You nodded, prepared to pay attention this time.

"Alright--12...21...4...23...9...7."

"7...9...23...4...21..12."

"Good! Do you have a headache? Do you feel dizzy or nauseous?"

"M-my head kind of hurts, but that's probably just because l hit it on the ground." You chuckled.

Ludwig nodded and wrote that down. He held up a slender finger in front of his nose. "Okay, for the next part of the exam, I need you to follow the movements of my finger. Only with your eyes, not your head."

You nodded. He moved his finger to the top left corner of your field of vision and moved it to the bottom right corner. He repeated at the top right corner and moved down to the left, as if he were drawing an X before your eyes.

"Good." He said for the umpteenth time and wrote more things on his clipboard.

Then his dark brown eyes bore into you intensely.

"Look at me as I use the light on my pen to check your pupillary reflex."

He turned it on and you flinched away, but he gently reminded you to keep your eyes on him.

He hummed again and wrote even more things down on his chart.

"Your pupils appear to be quite dilated--it seems they've been that way since you walked into the room. I don't want to be presumptuous, but are you feeling particularly amorous at the moment? Your pupils can dilate when you look at someone you are attracted to, if you weren't aware."

"N-NO! I mean, no to the 'amorous' part.
B-but, like, I don't mean to say you're not attractive or anything!" You exclaimed foolishly. You desperately tried to remember if his pupils were dilated during the exam as well.

Ludwig gave a quiet chuckle. "Relax, I was only teasing. Jokes aside, as you did not fully pass the exam, I cannot confidently send you back to class. When the nurse returns, she can provide a more thorough examination. You can wait with me in here in the meantime, if it's no trouble."

"I mean, who wouldn't want an excuse to get out of class?"

Ludwig chuckled again, and your heart swelled with pride. "I thought so."

YBFF spoke up. "C-can I stay too because I still feel a little dizzy--"

"Go back to class, YBFF." Ludwig cut them off.

"But--"

"You're perfectly healthy."

"How do you know that?"

"I hope you'll forgive me, but I ran a health scan with my healing magic earlier. I wasn't forward about it because the nurse discourages me from doing so. She prefers more...traditional methods of healing."

"If you knew I was faking, why didn't you just send me back earlier?"

"Regardless of whether you feel ill or not, it is still important to remain hydrated. You'd been running around in the sun, so you could use a water break. And now, you can go retrieve [Y/N]'s belongings from class!"

"Fine." YBFF groaned.

As they began to leave, Ludwig called their name again.

"Yes?"

"Could you...keep quiet about my current whereabouts? I wouldn't want an influx of 'headaches' and 'twisted ankles', if you catch my drift." Ludwig requested.

"How the heck does someone fake a twisted ankle?" YBFF probed.

"You laugh, but I've seen it. A blonde first year came in with her legs physically twisted around each other, and claimed she had twisted her ankle. Honestly, I was somewhat offended that she even expected me to fall for some clear foolishness like that."

You and YBFF both giggled before they left the room to retrieve your things.

ROI

"Alright, everyone, calm down. Today we're going to start the volleyball unit."

The class groaned in unison.

"Oh, suck it up! Dealing with whiny babies is not in my job description!" Coach Nizzola yelled.

Roi stuck his hand in the air.

"What?"

"Can I sit this one out, Coach?"

"What makes you think you deserve special treatment?"

"I already play volleyball on the school's team an' I'm twice the size of everyone 'ere so it wouldn't be very fair. Besides, I don't think you would wanna deal with the paperwork if I accidentally slap someone's face off with my mean serve~."

"Hmm, point taken. Alright, Roi, sit this one out. Everyone else, separate yourselves on two different sides of the gym and get ready to ruuuuuuuuuuumble!"

Everyone lazily diffused to opposite sides of the gym with no sense of urgency. You were usually neither here nor there when it came to gym class but this time was different. Roi would be watching you from the stands. Well, maybe not you specifically but his eyes would be moving in your general vicinity. This would be a unique opportunity to impress him.

The match started off well enough. Or at least, as well as it could have with a gym class full of sleep-deprived, less than interested teens.

Roi wasn't even paying attention either. He was more interested in whatever was going on on his Switch. You guessed you would be too if you were allowed to skip out on gym class. No matter, you just needed to get his attention.

"Roi!" You whispered his name but he didn't hear you.

"Roi!" You said it again louder but he still isn't listening.

"ROI!" You shouted and waved your hands all around.

He looked up and gave a small wave. "Hi." He mouthed.

You blushed and waved back, unsure of what to do now that you had his attention.

You were about to turn back to the game when a volleyball smacked you in the face from the side, sending you crashing to the ground.

You heard what you assumed to be the thundering footsteps of Roi as he clambered down the bleachers. He gently lifted your chin and examined your face.

"This is why you must remain present and alert while in the game at all times. You didn't hurt yourself too bad, [L/N], did you?"

"I-I think I'll be fine." You stammer.

"Hmm...your face is looking a little red..." Coach observed.

"Yeah...it's almost like they're blushing~" Roi added. You weren't sure if he was just being dumb or if he was trying to embarrass you in front of everyone on purpose.

He offered you his large, strong hand and when you took it, he effortlessly pulled you back to your feet.

"Any dizziness?" Coach quizzed.

"I'm a little disoriented, but I'll be okay."

Coach Nizzola narrowed their eyes at you for a few moments. "Maybe you should sit out for a bit. Just to be on the safe side."

"Yes, Coach."

"Don't be too upset about it, Roi can keep you company!"

So that's what happened...sort of. It was more like you sat on the bleachers and then Roi sat in your general vicinity, playing on his Switch.

But at least you were sitting down together! Progress, right?

MOTOKANE

You peered down at the ground from where the two of you sat in one of the oak trees at school. The ground looked a lot farther away from up there than it did from below.

"Motokane, are you sure about this?"

He laughed. "You worry too much."

"I dunno...looks like a pretty far drop...."

Motokane held your chin and turned your head so you had no choice but to face him.

"You won't fall, not if I'm holding you." You felt his hand on your lower back, pulling you closer.

"Good point." You giggled.

He leaned his head forward and your lips met. His body was warm and firm against yours. His long, jet black hair was soft as you ran your hands through it.

You were so swept up in the sensations of him that you didn't hear the snapping of the bark on the tree branch or the feeling of the branch giving way.

Before you could fully comprehend what was going on, you fell backwards. You instinctively grabbed Motokane for stability, but you only dragged him down with you. Your back slammed into the grass as Moto's head knocked into yours.

"Are...are you okay, [Y/N]?" He groaned.

You took a deep breath. "Y-yeah, I think so."

When your eyes opened, you saw none other than his older brother Ludwig standing over the two of you.

You shouted in surprise. Moto looked up, sighing when he noticed him.

"Ah Motokane, how is your little 'hoe phase' coming along? That was quite a show you and [Y/N] put on in that tree." He commented, a hint of sarcasm in his chipper tone.

"Oh shut up! Instead of just standing there with your big nose in everyone else's business, can you, like, call the nurse or something?" Motokane suggested.

"I already did when I saw you fall, just to be on the safe side. Now we must wait."

Motokane stood and brushed himself off before helping you to your feet.

"And by the way, my nose is a perfectly acceptable size. If you don't want anyone in your business, go take it somewhere more private!"

Before Motokane could retaliate, you cleared your throat. "Hey, guys, I'm still here."

The brothers grew silent, avoiding each other's gaze. Hoping to lighten the mood, you pointed at Motokane's bleeding nose.

"Hey, we're matching."

He chuckled, wiping the blood from his lips with the back of his dirt-covered hand.

WENDY

You were sitting in chemistry class listening to your professor drone on and on about atoms.

You glanced over at Wendy, who was typing away on her laptop and trying not to chew her gum in a way that anyone could see. Bored out of your mind, you got the bright idea to liven things up.

You tore a corner off of your notebook paper and wrote "Why should you never trust an atom?" on one side, and "Because they make up everything badum tsss :D" on the other. When you were sure no one was looking (the professor was as blind as a bat but you just wanted to be safe), you slipped the paper onto Wendy's desk. She unfolded the paper.

"Oh my God it's snowing outside!" Somebody blurted out. Cue the stampede of students ambushing the windows.

"Can everybody please calm down?" Professor Wilson requested. "You're acting like you've never seen frozen water before. Snow or no snow, we still need to get through this material."

Suddenly there was a cacophony of loud phone notifications. Before anyone could find out what was going on, the PA system chimed to life.

"Due to inclement weather conditions, school will be dismissed early at 2 pm." The principal announced. If she repeated her message before signing off, you couldn't hear it over the screams and cheers of the students in your class (and every class in your hall for that matter).

You retrieved your outdoor shoes from your shoe locker and shoved them on.

"We better get going if we wanna make it home before things get too crazy out there." Wendy said. You nodded.

When you walked outside, the courtyard was already covered in a thin blanket of snow. Students were running, umbrellas in hand, trying to make it home as soon as possible.
Your timbers were thoroughly shivered, but Wendy seemed just fine as she led the way to the front gate. As you followed behind you noticed a pile of snow that had gathered in the courtyard.

"Hey, Wendy, check this out!"

You dashed over to the pile. The cold wind slapped against your face and you could hear your heart pounding in your ears as well as the snow crunching beneath your feet. You sprung forward and dove in.

The next thing you knew you were waking up in the hospital with a pounding headache.

"What the..." You tried to murmur, but the words were dry and scratchy in your throat. When you tried to move your arm, it was covered in various wires and dohickeys.

"Don't move!" You heard a voice demand.

A peachy blob moved into your field of view. As your eyes focused on it, you realized that it was Wendy!

"I'll go get the doctor!" She said before scampering out of the room.

"Ha! Look who's awake. That was quite a stunt you pulled, Mx. [L/N]."

"What?" You croaked.

"Your friend Wendy here told me you had the bright idea to dive head first into a pile of snow in your high school courtyard. Little did you know, that pile was frozen. Solid. Ice."

"Ouch."

"Ouch is right. You got knocked out pretty much upon impact and this young lady had to call the ambulance for you."

"Oh...am I going to be okay?"

"You should be. You're going to spend the night in the hospital so we can monitor you and make sure there's nothing lurking below the surface."

"Alright, thanks, Doc."

"No problem. If you need me, just holler!"

As he left the room, you remembered something.

"Oh my God! My parents! They're gonna be worried sick!"

"I already called them and told them about what happened." Wendy informed you, holding up her smartphone.

"Unfortunately, they're not going to be able to visit tonight with the snow covering the roads and all."

"Oh..."

Wendy's pink lips parted into a smile. "Don't worry! I promised them I'd look after you in the meantime."

"You don't have to do that. You should probably start heading home yourself."

"Nonsense! It's really no trouble at all. You're my friend, [Y/N]. Besides, I can't really get home even if I wanted to. The roads are still covered in snow and ice, remember? It's better for everyone if I just stay put for now."

"But don't you have to go to school tomorrow?"

"Nope! School's canceled tomorrow because of the bad weather."

"Oh, cool. Well, at least it would be if I didn't have to spend my day off in the hospital hooked up to machines." You replied flatly.

"Hey, don't think of it as if I'm looking after you because you landed your dumbass in the hospital, think of it more like...a sleepover party!"

Wendy dug around in her bag. "I brought chips!"

"I don't even know if I can eat chips."

Wendy shrugged. "There's only one way to find out."

She produced a chip from the bag and inserted it into your open mouth. You chewed and began to swallow, but a piece of chip went down the wrong pipe.

You started coughing like you had bronchitis and Wendy started freaking out but you quickly recovered.

"Maybe we should...try a less dangerous snack." You wheezed.

Wendy nodded in agreement.

MORTON

You and a few other students were stocking up the concessions stand for tonight's volleyball game. Well it was more like the other students were--you'd simply tagged along because Morton was there.

He had bent over to pick up another box of snacks when you had the quirky idea to surprise him by jumping on his back.

You snuck over to him, making sure he didn't notice you. When the time was right, you pounced on him.

He shouted a little too loudly and fell backwards, landing on your ankle. You shrieked in pain. He began screaming louder when he saw you clutching your ankle.

"Oh God! Oh God! Oh shit!" He panicked.

"Great job, Morton. Your fat ass broke their ankle." Shreya, one of the other students who had witnessed the incident, said.

Your supervisor, Mr. Shiratori, barreled into the room.

"What the hell is going on in here?!"

"I was just playing around and I accidentally hurt myself." You winced, trying not to get Morton in trouble.

Mr. Shiratori's eyes fell to your swollen ankle. "Yikes. That looks like a lot of paperwork."

He sighed and rubbed his temples.

"Morton, hurry up and take [Y/N] to the nurse so she can take a look at them."

Morton nodded quickly. "Y-yes, sir."

He hastily lifted you off the ground in a bridal carry. You had forgotten how strong he was.

"I ship it. You two dumbasses belong together." Shreya commented.

"Oh fuck you!" You exclaimed, flipping her off. She was lucky you didn't have anything throw-able within grabbing distance.

As you made your way to the nurse's office, you noticed Morton's gait and heartbeat were unnaturally fast.

"You can slow down, you know. I'm not gonna die." You reminded him.

He stopped. "Morton knows, he's just..."

"Just what?"

"Morton just...feels so bad for hurting [Y/N]...if Morton had been more careful, this never would have happened..."

"This is not your fault, it's mine. I shouldn't have jumped on you like that. I was just being really dumb and now I gotta face the consequences of that...."

"But on the bright side, my injury won me a free ride!" You said, nuzzling your head into his chest. Even though he seemed calm, his heart was still pounding like crazy.

"[Y-Y/N] doesn't have to go a-and get injured if they want Morton to carry them." He stuttered.

"Duly noted."

He continued to walk. You had nothing else to do but simply enjoyed being carried. You nuzzled your head into his chest again. His body was like a soft pillow and he smelled nicer than you thought he would. His strong arms held you tightly. You closed your eyes, simply taking in the warm feeling of being embraced.

"Morton and [Y/N] made it!" Morton suddenly announced, jolting you out of your contemplative state.

You chuckled nervously. "So we have..."

RYUUJI

Your clammy hands gripped the steering wheel.

"Are you sure about this, Ryuuji?"

"We can't enter the race with a faulty kart. How else are we supposed to test it?"

"I don't know...maybe on a hill that's a lot less of a death trap."

"It's not a death trap! No one's ever died here!"

"I know, and I'd like to keep it that way!"

RJ sighed. "Look, think of it this way: if our kart can survive this hill, then it'll survive anything."

You gulped. "I guess that makes sense..."

"I know it does! Now brace yourself! Keep all appendages inside the vehicle for the duration of the test. One, two, three--go!"

RJ gave the kart a big push before hopping on the back of it.

The vehicle rattled as it zoomed down the hill. It was fast. A little too fast for your liking. You pressed your foot on the brake. The kart didn't stop.

"Um, RJ, I think we have a problem."

"What is it?"

"The brakes don't work!"

"What?!"

"The brakes broke!"

"OH SHIT--"

Oh shit was right.

"W-what are we gonna do?!" You panicked but you received no response.

"Ryuuji?" No response again.

You turned around and saw him rolling on the grass of the hill.

"Ryuuji!"

"Jump, [Y/N], jump!" He shouted.

You didn't really want to jump, but you didn't want to crash into the sidewalk at the bottom of the hill either. You took your feet off the pedals and your hands off the wheel. You launched yourself out of the driver's seat and onto the damp grass of the hill.

RJ rolled down the hill to you. "Are you okay?"

You spit out a dirt clod. "Yeah, I think so."

You sat up and watched the kart as it continued down the slope. It crashed into a park bench and then exploded for some reason.

RJ's eyes grew wide. "We should...probably get out of here."

You nodded quickly in agreement and ran after him.

LARRY

"Can you pass the Doofy-O's?"

"Sure." You slid the cereal box over to him. He shook it vigorously, pouring a small mountain of cereal in his bowl.

"Do you ever get tired of eating Doofy-O's all the time?"

"Never! I'd die without Doofy-O's."

You stared at him for a few seconds before shrugging. You dug your spoon into your own bowl and shoveled some cereal in your mouth.

You swallowed the bolus too quickly, resulting in some of the food going down the wrong pipe. You began to cough wildly.

"Could you maybe not do that? It's hard to enjoy a meal when it sounds like someone's dying right next to you." Larry requested politely.

All you could do was wheeze and point to your throat.

"OH MY GOD you're dying for real!" Larry exclaimed, voice full of genuine concern.

He began slapping your back as if he were trying to squash a bug. His slaps caused you to cough harder, until you coughed up the blockage onto the table.

"You good?"

You took a swig of [ur fav breakfast drink] and nodded.

Larry stared at the clump of munched up food on the table.

"Yeah...I wasn't really hungry anymore anyway."

LEMMY

"5..."

You ran as fast as your little legs would carry you.

"...4..."

Your eyes surveyed the area for the perfect hiding spot.

"...3..."

You almost tripped and fell on the pavement. Everyone was always telling you to keep your shoelaces tied, but it wasn't your fault if they kept magically coming undone.

"...2..."

You dove for cover.

"1! Weady or not, here I come!"

Lemmy turned around and scanned the area. You could only hope he hadn't spotted you. He looked in your direction and your eyes met. You sat perfectly still. Maybe he hadn't truly seen you yet. He started in your direction. Rats!

You bolted out of the safety of your hiding place towards one of the play structures. You climbed the steps, deftly weaving around the other children blocking your path. Lemmy followed close behind.

You stumbled as you crawled through the blue plastic fish tunnel, but you didn't let that stop you.

You leaped onto the wall made of rope. You had to scale sideways to make it across to the large spider web. Lemmy leaped as well, quickly trying to close the gap between you. He swiped at your shirt, but you were too far away.

You panted heavily as you climbed to the top of the spiderweb to escape him. When he reached the top, he paused to wipe the sweat off his brow.

"You have nowhere to wun, [Y/N]."

You stuck your tongue out. "That's what you think!"

You let go of the spider web with a great leap, launching yourself into the air. Unfortunately, what goes up must come down.

You crashed onto the ground, scraping up the tender skin of your hands and knees. You felt a tightness in your throat and salty wetness prick your eyes. Before you knew it you were bawling.

Lemmy was beside you in no time.

"Uh oh..." He murmured when he saw the blood flowing from your injuries.

He ran off, his racecar shoes giving him the speed to retrieve the teacher. He was practically dragging Mr. Uehara to where you sat.

"What happened here?" Mr. Uehara questioned.

"We were pwaying tag a-and den [Y/N] jumped off the spider web and den, and den dey fell an' got a boo boo!" Lemmy exclaimed.

"They fell and got a boo boo?" Mr. Uehara repeated. You and Lemmy nodded.

"Now, let me see." The teacher said. You offered him your hand.

"It's only a scrape. Once we get you patched up you'll be as good as new!"

"Ooh! Ooh! Can I help?! Can I? Can I?" Lemmy asked, jumping up and down excitedly.

"Sure, why not?"

Mr. Uehara unpacked the recess first aid kit on one of the benches outside. He cleaned your wounds (the little wet cloth stung a bit, but Lemmy held your hand so you weren't scared) and you chose some bandaids with cool designs on them.

Lemmy raised his hand.

Mr. Uehara chuckled. "Yes, Lemmy? You know you don't have to raise your hand to speak when we're not in the classroom, right?"

"Can I kiss da boo boos? Dat's how you make dem heal faster!"

"You should ask [Y/N]. They're their boo boos after all."

Lemmy turned to you. "Can I kiss your boo boos so you'll feel better?" You nodded. He planted kisses on your knees and the palms of your hands.

Mr. Uehara ruffled your hair. "Okay you crazy kids, you still have 15 minutes left of recess so go on and play. And take it easy next time!"
