Night School: Part II | Kooky x Reader
So, multiple readers have expressed that they would like a sequel to the Night School chapter. First of all, I’m glad many of you enjoyed it, I was a little wary about it at first but I’m glad that it was a success!
And like all movies/books that do exceptionally well, a sequel is in order! I wanted to make the sequel better than the original, so I've been through lots of rewrites and stuff. Whether you’ve been waiting for the sequel or not, I hope y'all enjoy, and if you do, don’t forget to leave a vote because I may make a sequel to the sequel! This ended up being S O L O N G but hopefully it will keep yall satisfied till the next update. And if you're like, "Ugh, I waited all this time for this crAP?!", please don't tell me because it will hurt my feelings 🙃
Just a few things before we start:
[TOY/N] = The Other Y/N. This is used to refer to the reader from the previous night school chapter. I was a little on edge of how I would refer to them, but you and them could easily just have the same name lol
[Y/BFF] and later [Y/F] = Your Best Friend and later Your Friend
Mx. = Miss, Sir, or just Mx. if your Elys is gender-neutral
The genders of [TOY/N], [Y/BFF], Elys, and Bridge all depend on you, the reader’s gender. So if you are female, they are all female too. Because I usually like to keep things gender neutral, I use gender-neutral pronouns to refer to all of these characters and I gave them gender-neutral names. So, if you are a female, Elys’s name is pronounced Elise while if you are male, his name is pronounced Ellis. If you are non-binary or genderfluid, you can just keep them all gender-neutral, I guess lol
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You squirmed anxiously in your seat. You didn't know why you were so nervous, it was a simple flight. According to the internet, your chances of dying in a plane crash were 1 in 11 million, yet you were still afraid. Alas, you weren't worried about the plane crashing, you were worried about its passengers, or one passenger in particular.
It had only been just last year since the disappearances of Kusuke and [TOY/N]. The disappearances were still fresh in everyone's minds and on their tongues; there were countless rumors and accusations going around.
However, everyone almost unanimously blamed Kooky for the crimes. He was connected to both victims: Kusuke was his roommate and [TOY/N] had been assigned his partner on the final project of your Human Anatomy class. You, on the other hand, were still skeptical. When Kooky promptly had his dorm searched, they found no evidence to prove he was the perpetrator. So they didn't really have a reason to blame him other than the fact he had no reaction when they announced the victim’s disappearance. But Kooky rarely had a reaction to anything, so that didn’t wasn't solid proof.
Now, you are probably wondering why you are on a plane. Well, after finals, your professor suggested you all go on summer vacation as a class; As a reward for working so hard. Kooky even hooked you all up with free rooms at a hotel that he claimed was owned by a close friend of his.
Now, back to the being afraid thing. You accidentally slept in this morning and you nearly missed the flight! When you got on the plane, the only seat left in your area was next to Kooky. Now, you were skeptical about him being a criminal, but with no real evidence, you couldn't believe that was true. Either way, you still didn't trust nor want to sit by a suspected serial killer. And…. maybe….you had just the teeny-weeniest-microscopic-barely-there crush on Kooky. Maybe. You didn't know. [Insrt reasons you like him here, I guess. This is optional. Also, if you're comfortable, I'm curious to know what you inserted :3]
Thankfully you got the aisle seat; you didn't want to have to cross in front of him and be that dangerously close. Kooky had pretty long legs, so you probably wouldn't be able to cross in front without accidentally touching him.
And speaking of long legs, Kooky was currently manspreading, his bare knee was touching yours. He seemed to be asleep, so you were pretty sure it wasn't intentional….but still….you were having thoughts about moving it, but that could wake him up and provoke him.You didn't like it when people yelled at you. Especially people you had the teeny-weeniest-microscopic-barely-there crush on. You looked at him as he lay there, his eyes closed. The way he was craning his neck to sleep was making yours hurt just looking at it. He was wearing a loose-fitting black hoodie that read "Don't Feed the Plants" in red print, with a monstrous looking potted plant in the center, loose gray shorts, and black Jurassic Park converses.
You continued staring intently at him, sending him telepathic messages to move his knee, but he didn't budge. You sighed. As a way to keep your mind off of the fact that you were sitting next to a possible killer, you started imagining what kind of activities you'd be doing when you got there. [Insrt fav things to do on vacation].
Eventually, you drifted off to sleep.
***********
When awoke a few hours later, the sky was dark outside the airplane and you were still high above the clouds. Your food tray was down and a tray of airplane food was resting on it. Kooky's tray was down too, but his food remained untouched. He was awake now, staring out the window.
You removed your hands from up under your cozy blanket and began eating your food. You had stayed up so late last night you slept straight through lunch, and you felt like you could eat a horse, or at least a cat. Even after finishing your food, you were still hungry.
"Hey, Kooky, why didn't you eat your dinner?" You asked, deciding to break the silence between the two of you. He was pretty skinny, he looked like he needed to eat the food for his own good.
"Didn't want it." He replied absentmindedly, not breaking his gaze from the window. You didn't even really expect him to respond.
"Well...can I have it?" You were a little reluctant to ask at first, but your unsatisfied hunger made you bolder. Kooky probably wasn't going to eat it, and you didn't want it to go to waste.
He finally turned to look at you, but didn't respond.
"I-I slept through lunch," You added quickly for some reason, your face heating up, "I don't normally eat this much, i-if you were wondering."
He continued to just stare at you, and you were sure your face and ears were getting redder by the seconds for no reason.
"Sure." He finally replied, gently picking up his tray and giving it to you. Your hands touched for only a few seconds, but it felt like a lifetime.
"Thanks." You said, suddenly not feeling too hungry anymore because of the butterflies in your stomach.
After he didn't respond, you began eating the food. He went back to ignoring you, staring out the window into the dark night.
After din-din, you decided to catch some more Z's, and you eventually drifted off to sleep again.
***********
Suddenly, you awoke to the sound of the passengers getting up and retrieving their bags from the overhead cabin. You jolted up, hoping and praying with every fiber of your being that you weren't doing any mortifying things like drooling, snoring, farting, or the worst of all: talking in your sleep.
After Kooky finished retrieving his bags, you got yours and followed the rest of the class off of the plane and into Sunshine Airport where you all regrouped and took attendance. After that, your professor announced that you would all be put in groups of 6 because: strength in numbers. He handed out your group assignments. And just your luck, you were grouped with:
[Y/BFF], Kooky von Koopa, Zebedaios Marchegiano, Bridge Spitznogle, and Tybalt Tarr.
You silently asked yourself, why me? Why.Meeeeee? You guessed it wasn't so bad. Like the professor said, strength in numbers. If you stayed in a group, you were much less likely to go missing…..right? At least you were in a group with your best friend.
"Hey [Y/N], sorry we couldn't sit together on the plane. I tried to save a seat for you, but Elys insisted on sitting by me. They said they couldn't sit next to a creepy murderer." [Y/BFF] explained, when they came over to you.
Elys Kukk was the best friend of [TOY/N]. They had become resentful of Kooky ever since they went missing. Elys was also the founder of the leader of the Anti-Kooky clique, which was a "secret" club she formed with a few like minded classmates. You weren't too sure why this club was even allowed, or specifically why the other people in the club didn't like Kooky. Anyway, Elys was the one who demanded his dorm be searched, and they even tried seducing him so that he'd fall into a false sense of security and tell them all his secrets. Needless to say, none of their plans have worked so far. In the meantime, they wanted nothing to do with him, and they made sure everyone knew that. You didn't blame them for always behaving so sour. Elys and [TOY/N] were really close, so you've heard. They were just trying to avenge them (on the other hand, if Kooky wasn't even the killer, Elys was wasting valuable time). Honestly, their determination was quite admirable. You wondered if any of your friends would even bother to fight so hard for you if you went missing.
After the groups got together, the class exited the airport and boarded buses that would take them to the hotel. Naturally, you and your best friend sat together, while the rest of your group mates sat nearby.
"So...what was it like? Sitting by you-know-who, I mean." [Y/BFF] inquired.
You shrugged. "It wasn't like anything."
"So you guys didn't even talk? Neither of you even had to cross over each other for a few seconds of awkward, agonizing, convenient contact?" They asked.
"Thank god, no. If he did get up, I didn't feel it. I was asleep the majority of the flight so we didn't really talk." You replied.
[Y/BFF] shook their head in disapproval. "[Y/N], don't you know that you should never go to sleep if your crush is sitting next you? That's guaranteed embarrassment!"
You shushed them hastily. "Stop that!" You whispered. "I don't have a crush on him."
"It doesn't matter, he's a guy and a person that could possibly end up trying to date you, just hope you didn't do anything embarrassing."
"I just thought of this," They added before you could speak, "but [Y/N], you know Kooky is kind of a creep, right? He could've touched you inappropriately in your sleep!" [Y/BFF] realized.
"How do you know he's a creep? You don't even know him."
"He gives off creepy, freakish vibes, [Y/N] and that's all I need to know." [Y/BFF] replied.
"Besides, what do you even see in him--"
"Could we possibly...I don't know...not talk about this anymore?" You suggested, starting to play on your phone. This conversation was making you very uncomfortable.
[Y/BFF] huffed, crossing their arms. "Well, [Y/N], Kooky is in our group. Meaning we'll all be spending tons of time together...if you did have a crush, now would be the time to make your move. Summer is a great time for flings to kick off. And if you're lucky, a one-night stand--"
You glanced back at Kooky. He was in the aisle seat, and Tybalt kept leaning over him to talk to Zeb. He looked very uncomfortable.
"No-no, Kooky isn't like that...at least I don't think so. And I'm not interested in him, so just quit it, wouldja?!" You exclaimed ,annoyed.
"Fine!" [Y/BFF] huffed, throwing their hands up in the air. "But this could've been a great thing!"
Before you could respond, the bus pulled to a halt. The professor stood at the front, lecturing you on hotel etiquette and how you all needed to be on your best behavior. Meanwhile, you glanced out the window to inspect the hotel. The decor was somewhat odd but it still looked nice. It was better than nothing, you guessed. After that, you all unboarded the bus and entered the hotel. After a short while, everyone was given their room keys.
Fortunately, you and [Y/BFF] got a room together, while Bridge was rooming with Elys, and Kooky was rooming with Tybalt, while Zebedaios was rooming with someone from another group.
Before everyone ventured off to their rooms, everyone exchanged phone numbers within their groups, for communication purposes. Even Kooky did, so now you had his phone number. You didn't care though, because you didn't even like him anyway….
After the number exchanges, everyone quickly went to their rooms to put their bags away. The sooner they did so, the sooner they could explore the hotel and the town surrounding it.
Bridge suggested that you all went out for a night on the town, so you could explore the place. Zebedaios and Tybalt agreed, but primarily because they wanted to hook up with some local beauties. Kooky was unfortunately dragged along, as you all had to stick together as a group.
You and your group explored the place thoroughly. Hitting up shops, malls, and restaurants to get snacks and rest your feet. Unfortunately, Kooky never ate, shopped or laughed with the rest of you. While the others were inside eating and gossiping about him and other students behind their backs, Kooky sat outside the restaurant by himself. You didn't want to look in his direction so much, you didn't want him to get the wrong idea. But...honestly, if you were hated by practically the entire class, you wouldn't want to hang out with them either. But alas, you were all a group and you should stay together.
You stood up. "I'm gonna go outside for some fresh air." You explained before exiting the restaurant. You could hear [Y/BFF] snickering quietly as you walked away, no doubt getting the wrong idea.
When you got outside, you went and sat near Kooky. You coughed subtly, hoping he would notice you and spark up a conversation. But he didn't, he continued to eat something….brownies, you guessed.
"Hey." You said, deciding to take the lead here.
"Hey." He replied, taking another bite of his brownie.
"You want one?" He asked, holding it out to you. It was the one he had just taken a bite out of, and you didn't really know how you felt about the fact that he offered it to you. If you ate it, would it be like kissing him? With tongue even?
"U-ugh," You stammered warily as you felt your face heat up for some reason, "M-maybe, w-what's in them? I m-might be allergic."
He just stared at you for a long time, his dark eyes fixated on you, as if he hadn't even heard what you said. The intense silence was nerve-wracking and you felt your hands begin to sweat.
Suddenly, he just burst out laughing. That kooky, maniacal laugh that he did sometimes while sitting by himself at the back of the classroom.
He leaned in close to you and whispered, "You don't wanna know." His breath smelt chocolatey.
You leaned back, putting more space between the two of you. "No, I do." You insisted, because if you didn't the conversation would end.
He leaned back as well. There was a bit more silence before he finally said, "Well, I used vegetable oil, a chopped up Godiva's Pure 85% Distinctly Smooth Dark Chocolate Bar, granulated sugar, 3 large eggs and a cold egg yolk,vanilla extract, Floral Dutch)-process cocoa powder, bread flour, instant espresso powder, and fine salt. Oh! And let's not forget the ¾ sticks of unsalted almond butter and ¾ sticks cannabutter. I always use almond butter instead of regular butter when baking, because butter doesn't really seem to agree with me, if you know what I mean."
You were a bit taken aback at the long explanation. "A can of butter?"
"Cannabutter," He corrected you, "Cannabis butter. It's an essential ingredient in weed brownies." He replied.
"Oh! Well, um...I-I think I'll pass on the weed brownies but….I...I didn't know you
could bake!" You stammered, unsure of what to say.
"You never asked." He replied simply, taking another bite out of his brownie.
Then the two of you were back to silence. You rubbed your arms, for the afternoon was chilly. Kooky trembled a little too, though it was more nervous trembling than shivering. You didn't know if it was because he was high, or because he was nervous or scared to be around you.
"You okay?" You asked.
"No."
You didn't expect him to be truthful. "What's wrong?"
"I miss him." He said vaguely.
"Who is him?" You prompted.
"My baby. I don't enjoy being apart from him for long periods of time."
"Oh...I didn't know you had a son. How old is he?"
He turned to you. "No, not a son! Beethoven, he's my baby--my fur baby--my bestest friend in this whole god-forsaken world."
You shied away. "Sorry, it's just...you called him a baby so I--"
"Don't normies call the ones they love their 'babies' too? Like significant others? I love Beethoven, so therefore he is my baby." Kooky interrupted you.
Then the two of you were quiet again. "Well, what does he look like?" You asked, hoping to smooth things over by showing interest in his interests.
Kooky quickly finished the last of his brownie and licked his fingers before unzipping his backpack and fishing his smartphone out of it. His phone case was green, with the words "Mushnik's Flower Shop | Annuals ● Perennials ● Unusuals | Skid Row, NDC" written in bright yellow and white lettering, with yellow flower accents on the sides.
(PS: Here, NDC stands for New Donk City, my equivalent of NYC, which is New York City)
"Have you worked there?" You asked, pointing at the phone case.
Kooky didn't respond, he only laughed.
He turned his phone on and began scrolling before he paused and showed you the screen.
Initially, it was just a video recording of a door, before the cameraperson opened it slowly. From the little bit of light that flooded into the dark room, you could somewhat make out Kooky, who was sleeping on the bed. You could also make a large black blob of some sort. Nothing happened for a few seconds and you were about to tell Kooky that his video was frozen, but suddenly the cameraperson cooed something unintelligible and a pair of bright eyes flashed at the camera. The blob jumped off of Kooky's chest and onto the floor, walking over to the camerawoman (You assumed it was a woman by her voice). When the blob was touched by the light of the hallway, you could see it was a big, black cat (a very chonky one at that) with orange eyes. The cat rubbed against the woman, and she reached down to pet and scratch him between his ears as she cooed to him. He began purring very loudly, like a tractor. He eventually walked away from the woman and returned to his place on Kooky's chest.
The video ended and switched to another, which featured the same jet black cat. You could hear Kooky's voice cooing to him this time while squishing his cheeks, trying to touch his black toe-beans and just cuddling and fondling him in general. You giggled, the cat's face looked like it was fixed in a constant state of disappointment and judgment. Despite this, the cat was purring loudly in the video, and Kooky was also purring right beside you.
"How are you doing th--"
"Isn't he just the most handsomest boy you've ever seen?" Kooky interrupted, not taking his eyes off the phone screen. You'd never seen him smile so big, and you'd never seen his unusual set of teeth before.
[You can insert you telling him about any or all of your pets here, if you have none or you wouldn't be comfortable with sharing, you could just say something nice about Beethoven. He is a thicc British Shorthair btw, so you can look up photos for reference. Also, if you don't mind, I'm curious as to what you would put here, I wanna know about your fur babies too! :3]
"Hey love birds, we're heading back now." Your best friend announced as they and the rest of the group exited the restaurant.
You left Kooky's side to catch up with them, you and [Y/BFF] falling into matching strides.
"So….what happened?" They urged.
You sighed deeply. "Nothing much, I already told you I don't have a crush on him."
They glanced back at Kooky, who was walking a few paces behind the rest of the group. He had his earbuds in and he was giggling about something, he was probably just high.
"I wonder why he's walking way back there? Does he hate us or something?" You asked. It was getting kind of dark, you didn't want him to trip or get lost.
"No, he's probably just walking back there so he can look at your ass without seeming like a creep." [Y/BFF] suggested.
You scoffed, caught off guard by such profanity. "What? No, I'm pretty sure it's just because--"
You paused, realizing that the group had stopped in front of the forest at the rear of the hotel. There was a sign that read Keep Out in multiple different languages.
"Hey, we should totally go in there!" Tybalt suggested.
"Um...why???" You asked.
"Because, I don't take orders from signs!” He exclaimed, tearing the sign down for literally no reason. “I heard there's a private, secluded lake back there that would be perfect for….ya know….stuff!" Tybalt said, already making his way into the forest.
"Well? Aren't you guys going to come or do ya not have the balls?"
"Well, sure, why not?” [Y/BFF] agreed, going into the forest. Zebedaios and Bridge agreed as well.
You were conflicted. You didn't want to go in there, but you wanted to make sure everyone stayed together because of strength in numbers and all that jazz. You reluctantly stepped in the forest.
"You're not really going to go along with this, are you [Y/N]? Kooky asked, smiling for some reason.
You were a little taken aback by the sudden question. His voice sounded like a mixture of concern and amusement.
"I don't really want to, b-but….but….strength in numbers!"
"If you don’t want to, we could always just go back together."
"Why, Kooky, are you scared? You afwaid of da fowest?" Tybalt asked, mocking him.
"Tybalt, stop. Anyway, the two of us going back alone would be the opposite of strength in numbers. But you can go by yourself if you want." You responded a bit too harshly, stepping into the forest after the rest of your classmates.
Kooky stepped in after you. You and your group mates, with the exception of Kooky, got your phones out to use as flashlights.
After what seemed like forever, you all found the secluded lake. It was surrounded by trees and bordered by sandy dirt. It looked so beautiful and serene in the moonlight. The fact that it was a secret only added to its mysterious allure. But then you wondered why it was a secret. Was there some sort of monster at the bottom? Poison in the water? Underwater caves?
"Ha! Told ya!" Tybalt exclaimed, proceeding to strip.
"Woah, woah, woah! What are you doing?" Bridge exclaimed as you and Kooky shielded your eyes.
"Going skinny dipping, of course. You're more than welcome to join us~" Zebedaios flirted.
"Ugh….hard pass. I'm gonna head back to the hotel, it's getting late and this place is lame." Bridge replied. "You guys coming?"
"Sure, I'm kinda hungry anyway." [Y/BFF] shrugged and you agreed, thankful to be leaving. Even though the place was beautiful, something about it didn't feel right at all.
You, [Y/BFF], and Bridge made your way out of the forbidden forest, leaving the guys to do whatever they pleased. It wasn't really like you weren't staying together, you just split up the group into smaller ones.
When you arrived, you all took showers and freshened up before going to Bridge's room. You all chipped in and ordered a pizza, and you nommed on it while you guys idly chatted. You stared at your phone. Somewhere deep down, you kinda wished that Kooky would text something, anything. Well, maybe not nudes but you didn't know, maybe more pictures of his cat? A text inviting you to his hotel room, so that the two of you could have deep, cannabis induced conversations about the meaning of life. You thought about texting him yourself, maybe taking a chance and sending him something flirty or just asking him out. You bit your lip, you were getting so excited for literally no reason. You got up to stretch, to relieve some of the energy that had built up inside you.
"You know, I really feel bad for you guys." Elys commented randomly.
"Might I ask why?" [Y/BFF] asked, a tad bit sarcastically.
"You have to be in a group with that ruthless murderer." They replied.
"Can we, like, not talk about that? I'm not in the mood for depressing tho--." You asked.
"NO! You sound just like [TOY/N] before they got murdered! I warned them but they didn't listen! Their judgment was clouded by lust and fantasy! I have the opportunity to stop others from meeting the same fate, so no! I will never stop talking about this until my best friend is avenged and that monster is put behind bars!”
The rest of you simply stared at them quietly, unsure of what to say.
“Oh, I get it. You all just think I’m crazy, that I’m just overreacting. Whatever, I don't even care anymore, defend that disgusting freak if you want. I'll be in bed if you need me." Elys concluded quietly before leaving the room.
You, [Y/BFF], and Bridge sat quietly for a few moments, exchanging worried glances.
"U-um, well. I think I'm gonna go back to our room and turn in for the night. I had a really long day." You yawned before leaving, [Y/BFF] trailing behind after saying good night to Bridge.
As [Y/BFF] drifted off to sleep, you lay in bed, wide awake. Your head was filled with so much thoughts and confusion. You thought about what Kooky might be doing now, if he was also awake. You wondered if he really had killed [TOY/N] and Kusuke, why? Just why? You also wondered if you were next. Elys said that you were going the same path as [TOY/N]. It worried you too much but eventually you managed to fall asleep.
Day 2
~~~~The Next Morning~~~
The next day, you awoke to the sound of frantic knocking on your door. You begrudgingly slid out of bed to answer it, wondering what the person on the other side could possibly want.
When you opened it, Zebedaios was standing there, panting. He looked worried, like he had seen a ghost.
“What’s wrong, Zeb?” You asked calmly.
“It’s….Tybalt...I can’t find him anywhere...and he’s not answering his phone!” Zeb panted.
“AHA!” Elys exclaimed from down the hall. It was obvious they had been eavesdropping in on your conversation.
They briskly walked over, ready to take this investigation into their own hands. “When’s the last time you saw him?”
“Well, we went to a secluded lake last night, to do a little skinny-dipping. I was gettin’ kinda cold, s-so I left but he said he wanted to stay longer.”
Elys nodded, writing this information down on their little notepad.
“Hey Elys, don’tcha think it would be better to let the authorities handle this? We could be dealing with a serious murder--”
“We are dealing with a serious murderer! And go to the authorities? Don’t make me laugh! They won’t do sh**! They’re more concerned about which flavor of donuts they’re going to have at their 5 hour long lunch break!” Elys exclaimed.
“Look, Elys, I understand that you want justice. And I’m willing to help you however I can, but like you said, we’re dealing with a serious murderer so I think that we should involve the authorities. You know, strength in numbers and stuff. Tybalt most likely vanished because he was alone, so there’s a lower chance of any of us going missing if we all stick together. There’s only one of them, and 3 or more of us.” You explained calmly.
Elys was quiet before nodding. “Alright, we’ll go to the authorities.” Elys suddenly pulled you into a warm hug. You just hugged them back quietly, unsure of what to say.
“Thank you, [Y/N],” They whispered quietly, “Thank you for wanting to help. Thank you for caring and most of all, thank you for not thinking I’m just crazy and paranoid. It’s hard to find decent people like you these days.”
~~~~~~~
After gathering a few police officers, you, Elys, and Zeb all made your way to Kooky and Tybalt’s shared hotel room. A crowd of nosy classmates had even gathered. Elys wanted everyone to be there when they finally exposed Kooky for his crimes.
Elys nudged you towards the door. “Go ahead and knock, I know he’ll open it for you.”
You felt cheeks heat up from embarrassment. You honestly couldn't tell if they were insulting you or what. Did everyone think there was something going on between the two of you?
You knocked on the door slowly. When there was no answer, you knocked again. And again. And again. Eventually, the knocking turned into banging.
Eventually, he answered the door. You could see that the lights were off in his hotel room. He must’ve been sleeping, because all he was wearing when he answered the door was a big black Jurassic Park T-shirt and loose boxer shorts with chibi dinosaurs on them.
“I TOLD YOU I DIDN'T WANT ANY GIRL SCOUT CO--Oh hey, [Y/N], where’s the f--”
“MOVE ASIDE!” Elys ordered, shoving you and Kooky out of the doorway and forcing themselves into his room. Unsurprisingly, they knocked you into Kooky, causing a few awkward moments of unwanted contact.
You just kind of stood there awkwardly. You wanted to compliment him on his underwear. And because of the contact you could tell they were pretty soft….but that would definitely make you look like a creep. “Um...uh..sorry. I’m just gonna go,” You stuttered, pointing inside of his room before walking around him.
“Search everything! Leave no stone unturned, leave no drawer unopened!” Elys ordered as they flipped on the lights and began to search--more like trash--Kooky and Tybalt’s room. "I know you're hiding something! There has to be something he--"
Suddenly there was a loud noise. You couldn't tell what it was because Elys was too busy yelling when it happened.
"What was that?" They asked.
Kooky shrugged. "I don't know. You're the one screaming and throwing things around, something might've broke."
But suddenly, you heard the sound again. It was a loud, sad yowling sound. Unanticipatedly, a large black cat scurried out from under the bed. It went to stand at Kooky's feet and rubbed its chonky body at him until he picked him up, cooing unintelligible something to the cat.
"Aha! I knew you were hiding something!" Elys exclaimed triumphantly.
"Ok, I know what this looks like, but Beethoven isn't doing any harm. Tybalt’s gone now, so now Beethoven's my new roommate. And since it's just me and him, he's not bothering anyone and he's normally very quiet but Elys came in here being loud and throwing things and then you scared him." Kooky explained hastily as he hugged the cat close to him.
"W-well, what about this!" Elys countered as they violently pulled back the blanket on Tybalt’s bed. They took out the black light that you didn’t even know they had.
Elys shoved it in Kooky’s face. “Ha, I bet this really scares you, doesn’t it? I’m on to you Mr., you may have fooled them with your stupid cat alibi but you’ll never fool me!” They taunted before using it on Tybalt’s bed. His pillow and a spot on the bed lit up.
“AHA! How do you explain that?!” Elys exclaimed, very satisfied with themselves.
“Well, the stain on the pillow is most likely saliva while the one on the bed is most likely, er--”
“Blood, I knew it!”
“I was going to say semen, but who knows, Tybalt could have been suffering from some sort of medical condition. Or he could’ve been injured, considering he had just gone swimming naked in the mysterious lake in the forest that we were specifically told not to go in.” Kooky said flatly.
“W-well...er...I..” Elys stuttered, searching for some sort of comeback. “NO! I refuse to believe you’re innocent! You probably just disposed of the body, or had the sheets changed!”
They went back to destroying the room again; ripping the blankets off the beds and throwing the pillows. Basically just disturbing anything that wasn’t bolted down.
“Mx., please calm down, “One of the authorities asked. “If you don’t, we’ll have no choice but to arrest you.”
“Arrest me?” Elys asked in indignant disbelief. Their voice was that sort of eerie quiet that came before someone was about to explode. “You should be arresting that disgusting, fugly, son of a b****! [TOY/N] and Kusuke are dead because of him! My best friend my only friend! Are you all too f***ing stupid to see that he’s responsible!?”
Everybody was dead silent for what seemed like forever. Eventually, quiet sniffling broke the silence.
The whole class turned to see Kooky, covering his face as fresh tears ran down his cheeks. The class began to murmur amongst themselves, nobody had ever seen Kooky cry before.
Suddenly, your professor spoke up. “Mx. Kukk, I am very disappointed in you! Th-this….bullying and harassment has gone too far! How dare you accuse Mr.von Koopa of a crime when you have no evidence whatsoever! And now look what you’ve done, you’ve gone and hurt his feelings after he had been nice enough to let us all stay at this luxury hotel for free! You will apologize to him this instant and then you will stay in this hotel for the remainder of our trip! That’s right! No tours, no sightseeing, no fun things!”
The class began to murmur mean things about Elys, even the former Anti-Kooky clique wanted nothing to do with them.
Your professor silenced the class, ready to hear Elys’ apology.
“I would never apologize to a disgusting freak like you. I meant what I said and I said what I meant.” Elys hissed before pushing through the crowd and heading back to their hotel room.
“I’m...sorry about all of this Mr.von Koopa, I can have some students help you put the roo--”
“Thank you for the offer, but I can manage on my own.” Kooky interrupted.
“Oh. Well, then. Um… you can get back to whatever you were doing.” Your professor said, giving Kooky a few sympathetic pats before leaving with the authorities and the rest of the class. You gave Kooky a few gentle pats as well before leaving.
The next day, Bridge and Zebedaios were also nowhere to be found. When Elys was interviewed by the news, they had reported that Bridge had gone to investigate further in the forest last night. Zeb had gone with her, cause of strength in numbers and such. You guessed they must've not had enough numbers.
Nonetheless, because they still had plans scheduled for today even if 2 students had gone missing, the class still went on their relaxing trip to a nearby spa town. They were going to be there all day, soaking in saunas, hot springs, and hot tubs, getting facials, massages, mani pedis, and whatnot.
Elys stayed behind of course, because they were still "grounded". You also stayed behind because Elys asked you not to go. And Kooky also stayed behind, probably because he hated being around the class, which Elys was counting on.
You also asked [BFF/N] to stay, but they said there was no way they were going to miss an all-expenses-paid spa day. They also didn't want to spend the day with Elys, who they described as crazy and delusional. Based on their response, you were fairly sure that if you went missing, [BFF/N] wouldn't do crap to help find you. They were immediately demoted from best friend to just a friend, and they honestly didn't even deserve that. They had even asked why you bothered to stay with Elys, after what they had done to Kooky.
Even though you didn't definitely blame Kooky for all these disappearances, you still really admired Elys for working so hard. You wished you had a friend like them, and maybe you even did after all you'd done to help them.
At the moment, you and Elys were hanging out in your room. They were at the door, constantly looking through the peephole, waiting for Kooky to walk by. They chose to hide out in your room because Kooky wouldn't expect them to be in there. You had your phone close by, just in case Kooky was going to try and text or something.
They turned to you and asked for the umpteenth time. "Alright, do you remember the plan, [Y/N]?"
You nodded. Elys was going to do most of the heavy lifting while you would stay out of sight and hopefully out of Kooky's mind. If Elys ended up dead like the others, at least you would survive to tell the tale and expose Kooky for his crimes.
They began waving over to you; the signal that Kooky had walked past your door. They waited for what seemed like forever before finally opening the door slowly. They waved you over, and you came to their side quickly and quietly.
When Elys slipped out the door, you made sure to wait so you would remain a few safe paces behind, as planned. As you followed, trying to look inconspicuous, you felt very nervous. If Kooky really was up to no good, what would he do to the both of you if you were caught?
After a bunch of stressful maneuvers to remain hidden while tailing Kooky, you ended up in a part of the hotel that made your skin crawl. Kooky paused, looking behind him--thankfully, you and Elys predicted this so you both were already hidden-- before going through a door labeled Authorized Personnel Only. After he entered, Elys quickly and quietly slid a hockey-puck looking object over to the door so it wouldn't close all the way.
As you waited for the signal to move, your palms started to sweat and your heart beat quickly in your chest.
"H-hey Elys, I-I think maybe we should turn ba--"
"No way!" They whispered back, "We're so close now! Don't worry, it'll be fine. You'll be safely behind me." They assured you before slipping through the door.
Eventually, when you felt it was safe to follow, you did so. But it turned out the door only led into an elevator. An elevator that Elys had already taken to wherever it led. It seemed like you were actually on your own now. You turned to look at the hallway, there was still time to back out. But you couldn't, you just couldn't! Elys was waiting for you down there, and you couldn't just let them down.
You got onto the elevator. Thankfully, It only had two buttons--one for the floor you were on and one for the other--so you pressed the other button. You watched as the silver doors closed, sealing your fate along with them. As the elevator travelled farther and farther into the depths of the hotel, you wondered where it led. And wherever it led, would you find evidence? Would Kusuke, [TOY/N], and all the other victims be here too? Deep down, you didn't want it all to be true. You still wanted to believe that Kooky wasn't the freak everyone always said he was. And even if he was, why? Why all the killing and the kidnapping? What was his true motive?
The elevator doors opened, interrupting your thoughts. They dinged as they did so, making your heart skip a beat as you hid on the wall next to the door, just in case anyone would be able to see you.
After a while, you peeked from behind your hiding place. No one was there, there was nothing but a poorly lit, long, ominous corridor. You quickly got off of the elevator and moved quickly but silently along the corridor. You had been gone from Elys' side for way too long, who knows what trouble they could've gotten themselves into.
As you turned one of the corners, you heard Elys's voice--and Kooky's too. You quickly hid behind the corner, hoping neither of them saw nor heard you. They continued to talk, so you were fairly sure they hadn't noticed you. You quietly slipped your phone out of your pocket, turned the brightness all the way down, and started recording, ready to get some much needed evidence.
"...apologize? I already told you I'd never apologize to the likes of you!" Elys exclaimed, their voice resonating off of the dark walls.
"Ah, yes, I suspected as much. Then...why are you here? Can't you read? The sign said: Authorized Personnel Only, of which you are not! You know, if you don't learn to read soon, you could end up like….oh, I don't know...Tybalt. " Kooky reminded them.
"Don't even try to make it sound like this was his fault! He didn't ask to be murdered! [TOY/N] didn't ask to be murdered! How could you do such a cruel, inhumane thing! They trusted you, they were even in love with you! Do you even know the things they used to say--"
Kooky held his hand up. "Alright, you can stop the sob speech right now. I don't need to know about the things they used to say, nor do I think I want to. [TOY/N] had a stupid little crush. You can't possibly be in love with someone you don't know. Also, another thing, I didn't murder your--"
"YES YOU DID! I KNOW YOU DID SO WHY ARE STILL LYING TO MY FACE!? YOU MAY HAVE THEM FOOLED BUT YOU'LL NEVER FOOL ME! I'M GOING TO GET JUSTICE FOR [TOY/N] IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO! SO CONFESS, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!" Elys growled, pulling out the gun you didn't even know they had. You wondered where they got it, and how long they had it in their possession. You were fairly certain they had planned to kill Kooky the whole time.
They pointed it directly at Kooky. "What if I were to shoot you right now, hmm? I really oughta, you know, a life for a life is a very fair trade, wouldn't you say? It's more than what a freak like you deserves, for all the lives you've stolen with no remorse."
There was a long silent pause before he said, "Well, if you were to do such a thing, you would be able to cherish the look of surprise on my face, because I would be surprised, I really would, Elys. Shooting someone seems too...dark and morose for someone like you. But I suppose I might be able to understand. [TOY/N] was your best friend, your one and only friend. You've known each other for quite some time, haven't you? And lucky for you, Elys, I'm in a very generous mood." He pulled something small out of the small pocket on his shirt.
The small object wiggled and dangled in the grasp of his thumb and forefinger. You couldn't see it very clearly, even when you zoomed in on it with your camera.
"Wh-what is that?" Elys asked in disbelief.
"[TOY/N], of course. I don't usually carry them around like this, but they wanted to see you and I thought you'd want to see them. They've seemed to be plaguing your mind recently." He replied.
Elys took a few steps closer, in utter disbelief of what they were seeing. "H-how….I-I...I don't believe you! Th-that could be anyo--"
[TOY/N] began to say something, something you couldn't quite hear from where you sat. All you could hear were tiny, incomprehensible squeaks. But you could tell that for the most part, Elys seemed to be getting the message.
"Sorry if their speech is a bit hard to understand, they're very lacking in the tongue department." Kooky explained calmly as he began to pet [TOY/N].
"STOP THAT, DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH THEM!" Elys screamed, reaching for [TOY/N] but Kooky quickly lifted them out of Elys' limited reach.
"Uh-uh-uh, Elys, " Kooky tsked, "Sorry, I'm not very keen on sharing my toys."
"You….y-you....disgusting, perverted, monster. WHAT HAS HE DONE TO YOU, [TOY/N]? WHAT FREAKISH THINGS HAS HE MADE YOU---"
"Hold that thought, "Kooky interrupted, his stomach growling, "I know you're angry and I know you hate me, but because of all of the drama you’ve brought upon me, I’ve barely had anything to eat since we got here. So, before you shoot me, because I know you're just dying to, I'd like to have a final meal, all prisoners on death row have the right to one." He said, toying with the [TOY/N] in his hands.
"And what better one, than your very own [TOY/N]! They're perfect, and already readily available!"
You could sense Elys’ grimace. “You wouldn’t--”
Despite your and Elys’ hopes, he lifted [TOY/N] up and over his mouth and slowly licked them. You could even hear them screaming their little head off from where you were hiding.
You knew Elys was making a very disgusted face at the moment. You felt your own stomach twist. You could hardly process all that was happening right now. “Alright, alright, please just...don’t!” Elys pleaded as Kooky was attempting to remove [TOY/N]’s clothes.
But Kooky just ignored them. At that moment, your phone started vibrating; you were getting a call. As your heart began to beat rapidly in your chest, you quickly turned to muffle your phone as you tried to silence. You never realized how loud the vibrations were. As you were doing this, you heard a loud gunshot. You sat extremely still, even making sure not to breathe too loud. You hadn’t been paying attention, so you didn’t know who shot who.
You were conflicted. If it was Elys, they may need your help but they could’ve also been killed. You thought about why you came down into this dank basement in the first place. You got your proof on video, with what you had, Kooky could at least get put away for kidnapping.
You made up your mind, Kooky going to prison for life was what Elys had wanted. To make sure that happened, you’d have to get out of this place and fast. You quickly got up and started running, you had already wasted enough time thinking. You kept running; your breath short and your legs exhausted. It seemed that the chambers had gotten bigger than they had been, or you were just running around in circles.
You paused to check your phone. Maybe you could just upload the video from here. No luck, there was no service down here. As you were grumbling about how you should’ve switched to a stronger provider ages ago, you heard a faint whisper. You froze, knowing this was it.
“[Y/N]...” It faintly whispered again, you turned in the direction of the voice. It seemed to be coming from one of the cells. You were just now realizing there were cells down here. Tons of them along the walls of the chamber you were in.
“Hello?” You answered cautiously. You suddenly heard some type of movement, as if the source of the whisper were dragging itself across the cold, concrete ground.
Suddenly, a bloody, injured Zebedaios slowly emerged from the darkness. Both of his legs had been unprofessionally removed, leaving bits of flesh dangling from his open wounds.
You gasped, hardly able to look. “Z--”
He frantically shushed you. “Quiet...that sicko is going to hear you!”
“Sicko? You mean Kooky, right? Puh-lease don't tell me there are multiple sickos in our class!” You whispered.
He nodded frantically. “Now listen, we don’t have much time. Please, [Y/N], help me up and carry me out with you! I don’t know how you got here but we’ve gotta get out of here right now!"
You had no idea how long Zeb had been without his legs. Even if you carried him, he would literally be dead weight. He was probably really heavy too. But the longer you looked at him, the more you sympathized with him. If you were trapped here with no escape, you'd very much want the first able person that came along to help you. You sighed internally, and carefully began to hoist Zeb onto your shoulders, your legs shaking under all of his weight.
You heard a loud gunshot again, remaining perfectly still upon instinct. Your body trembled uncontrollably; you were so terrified.
You slowly turned your head to see Zeb's cold, dead body laying in a large puddle of his own blood. Some of it got on your legs and clothes, and you could feel the warm fluid running down your calf.
"Well,
well,
well,
well,
well,
well,
well,
well,
well, if it isn't [Y/N] [L/N], fancy seeing you down here." You heard Kooky say behind you, but you didn't move an inch. Your [eye clr] eyes were locked on Zeb, who had only been living a few seconds before.
He must've sensed your shock. "Oh, don't worry about him. He was going to die anyway, likely before the two of you would've made it. I can't believe you would waste your time on a single-celled organism like him!"
You slowly turned around. You felt it would be better to see the enemy head on, at least you probably would have less of a chance when it came to getting killed. Kooky was there, a little ways from where you stood. He was playing with Elys' gun in his hands.
You wanted to ask but you were too afraid to. You saw him start walking quietly towards you, so you instinctively started walking in the opposite direction.
"You're such a sweet, generous person. You know that, [Y/N]?" He complimented you. You did not respond. You didn't know what he was trying to do, so you just kept backing away.
"What's wrong? Are you afraid of me too?" He asked. You still didn't answer. He wasn't exactly making it easy for you to not be afraid.
"Well, It's fine if you do not wish to speak with me, I prefer the quiet anyway. Such a nice change compared to those loudmouthed classmates of ours." He finally concluded but still continued to walk towards you.
“Look, Kooky, you’re really scaring me so could you just, like, stop walking towards me?” You asked.
“Well I wouldn’t have to walk towards you if you’d stop walking away.”
“Well I wouldn’t have to walk away if you’d stop walking towards me.” You retorted.
He stopped walking. “Touche.” He said, before his tummy startled growling loudly again, which reminded you of what you were doing here in the first place.
“Are you going to eat me, l-like you ate Elys and [TOY/N]?” You asked, your voice unintentionally quivering.
“I did not eat [TOY/N], and I didn’t eat Elys either, I’m fairly certain they would’ve given me terrible indigestion.” He chuckled.
You heard his footsteps begin to continue as he said this, which made yours continue much faster, because you knew Kooky’s legs were longer than yours.
You stopped abruptly, falling backwards into the chair that you bumped into. Kooky, now closer to you, forcibly held your arms on the armrests and closed the clamps on your wrists and ankles, trapping you there. Kooky stepped back a few paces into the darkness before a light dimly flickered on just above your seat, which wasn’t really a chair, but more like an examination table that folded into one. You had to admit, you were kind of impressed.
You took a good look at Kooky. He looked….like he dragged himself out of bed to be here. His blue hair was a mess and he had dark circles under his dark eyes, but those were both normal parts of Kooky's appearance. You assumed medical school must be pretty rough for him. Now that he was closer, you realized he was wearing Elys’ shirt, which hugged his thin frame tightly. You wanted to ask, but you were too afraid to.
He wasn't wearing pants again, just his loose boxer shorts. And then finally, he was wearing hi-top Converses. The one on the left was all black with the Jurassic Park logo and the one on the right had a picture of a dinosaur w/a blue streak on its body and the Jurassic World logo on the opposite side. Overall, he looked [enter opinion here].
You just realized you just sat there for the last few minutes quote-unquote "checking him out". But he just quietly stood there, no doubt checking you out as well. You were about to say something but his stomach interrupted you, growling loudly again.
"K-Kooky, " You stuttered against your will, "I-I heard you say that you haven't eaten since we got here, a-and I don't know why but I can't really imagine what that's like. S-so you can have the granola bar that I keep in pock--"
Kooky abruptly slapped the opposite sides of your thighs, searching for said granola bar. He slipped it out of the right one and began to examine it.
"Do you always carry granola bars in your pockets?" He asked.
"Not just granola bars, all kinds of snacks. [Examples of fav snacks here], you name it. You never know when you'll get hungry, or you'll get stuck in a situation where you can't eat for a long time, like being trapped in an elevator." You explained.
"So, why are you offering it to me? You're the one who came into my territory, my hunting grounds and now you are the one who is trapped. You do not know me, you don't know how long you'll be trapped down here. You're causing your own extinction!" He exclaimed.
"W-well, I guess you're right. I don't know. But what I do know, is that you're hungry now, and if you're just going to kill me anyway, eating it would be kind of a waste, don't you think?" You said.
"So you're willing to jeopardize your own survival, just to provide me with a snack?"
"Yeah, sure, I guess. And you gave me your food on the airplane a few days ago, so I'm just returning the favor." You shrugged.
"Interesting…" He muttered, throwing the granola bar off to the side.
"Well, [Y/N], thank you for offering, but I'm not a big fan of bioengineered food ingredients. However, there is something that I am craving."
"Well, If you let me go I could go and for you--"
"No need! Because you're already here, and since you have made the wise choice of donating your blood willingly, I will try my best to make the process as painless as possible for you, out of courtesy." He explained, walking behind you and [pinning your hair up (4 long and medium haired rdrs)].
You recoiled. "Hey! I never agreed to donating blood!"
"Yes, you did," He retorted, coming back around to kneel in front of you, so that you were face to face, "You gave me your granola bar, even though doing so put your survival at risk."
"Kooky, that was a granola bar! This is my blood we're talking about! This is not the same thing!" You exclaimed.
"Yes it is, in my situation. Satisfying my hunger will put your life at risk, but, like I said before, because you are generously donating I will try extra hard to kill you." He replied.
"....What the heck is wrong with you?"
He shrugged. "It doesn't matter, just sit still, remain calm and it will all be over soon enough."
He returned to his previous position behind you. Abruptly, he ripped your shirt at the collar, leaving your shoulders and chest exposed to the frigid air of the dungeon. He gently placed his hands on your shoulders and began to massage them. His dark hands were cold, and his touch sent shivers down your spine.
You thought about what he said. Just sit still, remain calm and it will all be over soon enough. This probably meant that he wasn't going to kill you like he had promised. Even though it was cold, you couldn't help but feel hot. Your heart began to beat faster and your breathing was shallow. You squirmed in the seat, unable to sit still.
"What did I say about remaining calm [Y/N]? You're already panicking and I haven't even done anything yet. Do you not like the massage? It's supposed to be relaxing and pleasurable, at least that's what the Internet said. But honestly, I agree with you. I wouldn't find a random person touching all over and groping me relaxing in the slightest. Oh, well. I tried." He concluded, kneeling down behind you.
"Alright, [Y/N], this may hurt a little because I didn't get to finish the massage." He warned, licking a spot in your shoulder.
"What does that have to--"
He sank his large prominent tooth into your shoulder, causing you to yelp in pain. As he began to suck on the wound, you began to panic again.
You tried to take deep breaths but your body kept hyperventilating; it just hurt too much. This continued for a while, you lost track. As your adrenaline kicked, it began to hurt less, but you began to bleed more. It was uncontrollable. More warm, red blood began to flow from your wound, spilling down your chest.
Everything felt so hazy and surreal, as if this was all just a dream.
"Aww, you're offering me seconds when I haven't even finished my firsts~? Well, if you insist, [Y/N]. You really are a generous person." Kooky complimented you before coming back around so that he was in front of you. He knelt down, placing his hands on your thighs for support.
He licked the trail of blood on your between your chest.
"Hey!" You exclaimed, lurching forward.
"Ugh, what is it now?!" Kooky yelled, obviously annoyed.
"You can't just do that! I reluctantly gave you permission to drink my blood, not lick my [breasts/chest]!" You exclaimed.
"But, all this blood will go to waste." He protested, as if you even cared.
"I don't care, I said no!" You retorted.
"Fine! I'm not hungry anymore anyway!" He growled through clenched teeth as he stood back up. He walked back into the darkness, returning a small cart with tools on it.
"What are you doing?" You asked skeptically.
"I'm going to suture your wound, it's pretty deep so it will most likely get infected if I don't. Being patched up is one of the perks of donating to my good cause." He explained.
You chuckled. You could think of so many better causes than this one. Now, you strangely felt more calm and comfortable in spite of yourself. You felt bold, so you finally asked:
"Kooky, why are you wearing Elys' shirt?"
"Because I didn't want to get blood all over my perfectly good one." He answered, which you didn't expect him to do. So you decided to try another.
"Well...what about Elys? They'll need a new shirt?"
"No they won't, not where they're going."
"Why haven't you eaten since we got here?"
"Because of my roommate. I refuse to eat in front of other people, so I had to get rid of him or I would starve to death." He replied.
"Well--"
"No more questions!" He interrupted, applying the final stitch to your wound. He removed your restraints and pulled you up out of your chair that was once a prison. You were still a little light headed after having your blood sucked, so you stumbled awkwardly into him.
You stood there as you waited for the room to stop spinning. You realized you were laying your head on his chest, but he surely wasn't objecting. In fact, the both of your hands were intertwined yet his body was rigid and stiff. He smelled...interesting.
After a few moments, he asked stiffly, "Having fun there?"
"O-oh sorry." You stammered, backing up.
He placed his hands gently on your shoulders, careful to avoid the spot where you had just been stitched up. "Look, [Y/N], because your behavior was satisfactory and because you're such a nice, generous person, I have decided that I won't kill you. "
"Oh, well that's a relief."
He nodded slowly. "Yes, but, you can't tell anyone about any of the things that happened down here, or I will be forced to change my mind."
"Not even my [ur pet]?"
"No, [Y/N], not even them. Animals are smarter than you think, they tell their friends and those friends tell their friends, it's a whole network. We can't take any chances here."
"Also," he began, slipping his hand in your back pocket and grabbing your phone, "I can’t let this little device escape." He snapped your phone in half before throwing it on the ground and smashing it under his foot, as if snapping it wasn't enough.
"Now, [Y/N], I can trust you to keep all of this a secret, right?"
You nodded slowly. You couldn't believe you were actually agreeing to this, but you didn't want to die. What could you do? You felt very wonky in the head and you couldn't think straight. You felt so strange, like all of this was a crazy dream.
"Now, you're free to go."
"Just like that? What about my shirt? And what about Elys?"
"The shirt thing sounds like a you problem, not a me problem. As for Elys, you could just say they drowned in the lake, or went insane and committed suicide, or committed suicide by drowning herself in the lake, any of those will do. I'm sure it wouldn't take much for you to get everyone to believe you."
Your legs suddenly felt weak and you felt lightheaded. You fell into Kooky again. He laughed, "Oopsy-daisy, it seems like I might've indulged a little too much…." Your eyelids felt droopy and you felt like you were passing out.
Kooky said something unintelligible to you as you s l o w l y drifted out of consciousness.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you slowly drifted back into consciousness, you found yourself in your bed in your hotel room. [Y/F] was in the bed next to you, watching TV.
When you drowsily sat up, they said, "Good evening Sleeping Beauty, were you asleep the whole time while we were away? You really missed out, big time! It was so much fun! And there were tons of hotties there, you should’ve seen them. I even got one's phone number. I know we're only staying here temporarily but we can still do long distance, right?" They rambled.
It was evening now, and you were now wearing a shirt, one from your suitcase. Your chest and wound were clean. You noticed you received a text from Kooky, and the reality of what happened earlier suddenly came flooding back. "You good, [Y/N]?" [Y/BFF] asked, as you hastily slid out of bed and got more presentable. You marched to Kooky's room without another word. You banged on his door until it opened.
When you entered, Kooky was watching TV on his bed, Beethoven in his lap. You wondered how he'd answered the door.
"Ah, you're finally up." He said, calmly stroking his cat's jet black fur.
"Yes, I am." You responded.
"Well...how do you feel?"
"Fine."
"Good, then the procedure was a success. Do you remember our deal?"
You paused for a moment, before replying. "Yes, I remember."
"And I can trust that you will honor it?"
"And what if I don't? I'm not trapped in your freaky little dungeon anymore. I have no reason to do what you say. I could march out of here right now and go straight to the authorities. Tell them you did this to me!" You exclaimed, showing him your stitches.
He gently removed Beethoven off of his lap before sliding off of his bed. He went to stand over by you, towering over you.
"Do not test me [Y/N]. I have my ways and you've seen what I am capable of. I was generous enough to give you a second chance at life and I trust that you will not take it for granted. Now you listen to me and you listen good: we have a deal and if you decide to make the grave mistake of not honoring it you will genuinely regret it. I'll make sure that my doing away with you will be extremely slow and extremely painful."
When he finished, you realized he had been backing you up towards the open door. "Now go on with your merry little life, when I'm feeling snackish again I'll know where to find you! Toodles!" He exclaimed cheerfully before slamming the door in your face.
When everyone eventually realized Elys was missing, you told them that they eventually went insane and ran away. You realized that Kooky's suggestions had flaws in them: if you had told them they were in the lake, they'd look for her body there and you knew it wouldn't be there.
As the rest of the class whispered and murmured about Elys, you only sat quietly. The rest of the class assumed that it was because you were sad which wasn’t necessarily false.
You looked over to where Kooky was, leaning on the wall and listening to music from his phone, not a care in the world.
