You were carrying the box of chips as you followed Kazuma and Aqua. You basically just followed there lead since you had to look after your chips. You followed them through a wooden door and looked around. There were many people clad in armor and drinking happily. You being just slightly anti social attempted to back out the door only to be pulled by Aqua.

(Y/n):So what are we doing?

Kazuma:Like the start of most RPG's we are going to register for a guild.

Aqua:And how are we going to do that?

Kazuma searched his surroundings before pointing.

Kazuma:There!

You followed his pointing to see a blonde lady behind a window. It sorta reminded you of the bank the few times you had to go because of your mom. Kazuma walked over followed by Aqua. You however, walked over to a table and set the box down. You took a seat and stretched. You went to pick up the box again when you felt a hand on your shoulder.

(Y/n):I will register in a second Aqua.

???:Who is Aqua?

You froze at the unfamiliar female voice. You looked over your shoulder ad saw two girls clad in armor.They looked like twins except one had red hair and the other black. 

(Y/n):W-Who are you?

???:We were wondering if you would join our party cutie.

Why are girls taking an interest in you all of the sudden? This is what raced through your mind as your face heated at her calling you cute. You were new to this sort of thing and did not know how to react.

(Y/n):But I'm not even registered.

The other girl spoke up.

???:Well let's do that and then we can get to know each other. Oh you don't know our names yet. Right?

You nodded. 

???:Well I'm-

Aqua:Someone unimportant.

You turned and saw Aqua. She grabbed you arm and hugged it close to her. 

Aqua:Sorry girls, but he is already in my party. So why don't you move along?

The girls grumbled and glared and the blue haired goddess before walking off.

Aqua:I can't leave you alone for a second can I. Just got here and already flirting with girls.

(Y/n):Whaaaaa?! They came up to me!

Aqua:Sure they did. Now hurry up we need to register.

Aqua began pulling you and you reached your hand back.

(Y/n):Aqua what about my chips?!

Aqua:The box will be there when your finished trust me. 

Aqua dragged you towards a counter where Kazuma was standing looking dejected. Aqua pulled you up to the window and the blonde haired girl smiled at you. 

???:Hi there, are you looking to register too?

You nodded.

???:Place your hand here. 

She indicated to a small orb and you placed your hand above it as indicated. The orb began to glow and you watched it mesmerized. Then the orb's spectacular glow slowly started to fade as you heard a gasp. You vision tore from the orb to the blonde haired woman who was looking intently at a small card.

(Y/n):D-Did I do something wrong?!

???:Oh heavens no! I am amazed at your skills!

The woman flipped the small card in her hands and moved it really close to your face.

???:Your intelligence is amazingly high as well as your mana! Your other stats are rather normal, but that is beside the point. Your only level one and you can choose to be an arch wizard!

You heard gasps around you and then celebrating as a group gathered around you.

???:He is only level one?!

???:That's amazing!

???:Could he be the one to defeat the demon king?

You were not use to such attention and tried to shy away into your hoodie only to realize you no longer had it. Aqua brushed past you slightly placing her hand above the orb. The lady gasped in wonder again.

???:Aside from you intelligence being below average and your luck being the lowest possible level all your stats are drastically above average!

Aqua:What? Does that mean I'm really amazing?

???:A-Amazing is an understatement.

While people were gawking at Aqua you quietly slipped through the crowd and made you way back to your box. You hugged it tightly against you as Kazuma plopped down next to you. He looked depressed.

(Y/n):Um are you ok?

Kazuma:Our journey just started and I was told to give up my dream.

You looked at Kazuma and then tapped your fingers on the box before you sighed.

(Y/n):I never thought I would say this in my life but, do you want a chip?

You reached in the box and pulled out a single chip offering it to him. Kazuma gave a weak smile and took the chip from your hand popping it in his mouth.

Kazuma:It was really good. Thank you.

Aqua:Alright! Let us begin our adventure!

Kazuma:I thought you hated this whole adventuring  thing?

(Y/n):Well what do we do first?

Kazuma:Well help me figure out a place to stay.

(Y/n):Well we could-

You felt a tap on your shoulder and turned to see the lady from the counter.

???:Hey there, you snuck away before I could give you you this.

She had the the card from before in her hand. She took your hand and placed it in your palm.

???:Do you know how to acquire skills and talents?

You stare intently at the card and then swiped it, increasing one of your stats.

???:Excellent , now you have quite a few skill points, but spend them wisely.

(Y/n):Thank you for the advice.

???:Anytime sweetie.

She gave you a closed eyed smile and walked back towards the counter. You began swiping at the talents and traits. You after a long time of thinking went with two magical elements. Ice and electricity. They were simple and seemed like the easiest magic to wield.

Kazuma:(Y/n) come on we found a place to sleep for tonight.

You simply nodded and walked over to your box of chips. You hoisted it up and followed the two. After a bit of walking you came upon what looked like a stable.

Kazuma:This was the best we could do for now.

(Y/n):I do not trust the cleanliness of this place. Let me find a place for my chips.

Kazuma:Reall-

(Y/n):Yes.

Your tone sounding my threatening than you intended, Kazuma nodded and you walked around until you found a hollow tree.

(Y/n):This is extremely convenient.

You set the box down and pushed it in as far as it would go. You took a few steps back and ran a hand through your slightly damp colorful hair. Then a thought came to mind as you raised your hand and pinched you chin in a thinking motion.

(Y/n):Maybe mana has something to do with colorful hair? It would explain why Aqua and I have so much mana and Kazuma has none. I guess I can ask Aqua in the morning. 

You turned and walked back to the stable. Entering it you saw somehow Aqua had pajamas on and Kazuma was holding a small bit of cloth.

Kazuma:This is all the amount of blanket we have.

(Y/n):Give it to Aqua.

Aqua blushed slightly at you kindness.

(Y/n):I'm mean your a big boy Kazuma and I always preferred the cold anyway. Just help me find a place for my glasses.

Kazuma:Uhhhhhhh, there.

Kazuma pointed to a barrel and you walked over slipping the glasses off your face and placing them gently on the wooden surface. You walked over to the hay pile turning your back to it and falling backwards into the itchiness. Your vision was very blurry, but you could make out most shapes and colors, so you looked around the stable for a second. Then your gaze turned to your companions. Kazuma had finally joined you both on the hay. Aqua was on her side facing you and she was not yet asleep. Your soft gaze met hers and she jumped slightly. You smiled tiredly at her and she blushed.

(Y/n):I know it is not up to your standards, but I hope you sleep well.

Aqua:You too.

Aqua closed her eyes and slowed her breathing. You rolled over and closed your eyes. It was not long after that you slipped into a dreamless sleep. 

Time skip.

You opened your eyes, but you were not met with blinding sunlight like you expected, instead a darkness that was only illuminated by what was left of a burning candle. You tried to sit up to stretch to find your arm locked in a grip. You panicked and shot up looking down to find some creature ready to devour you only to find Aqua. She had managed to find you in her sleep and pull you closer to her. Well you were naturally a warm person so she must have been cold. You watched as the small grin she had on her face faded into a frown as she reached out her arms in an attempt to find your warmth. You were now thrust into a situation. Do you fall back asleep and forget about this, or do you give her the warmth she craves, though if she were to wake up it would be extremely awkward. You pondered the situation until a small whimper escaped Aqua. She seemed troubled, must likely the lack of your warmth, so being the kind-hearted soul you were, you scooted over in the hay and layed down next to the goddess. Her hand grazed your arm and she latched onto you cuddling into your side. You blushed at her being so close and her chest pushing into your arm.

(Y/n):I never have been cuddled before. What do I do?

This was a first experience for you. You looked at Aqua's face to see she was once again at peace and the smile had returned. You lifted your free arm up and awkwardly wrapped it around Aqua's shoulder. After a few seconds you grew uncomfortable and pulled your free of her grasp and quickly turned on your side facing Aqua. In her sleep Aqua shot her arms out and managed to wrap them tightly around your chest, most likely to keep her source of warmth secure. Pulling you close she rested her head against your inner arm. You placed your other arm around her her and a feeling grew inside you. It was a warm and fuzzy feeling that made you smile.

(Y/n):I think I like cuddles

TimeSkip.

???:Aww isn't that nice.

You groggily opened your eyes and looked up. You made a human shape covered in green.

(Y/n):Oh, morning Kazuma.

Kazuma:Good morning. I see you move around a lot in your sleep.

You tilted your head in confusion and turned. Somehow Aqua had moved to a rather weird lazy looking position while you only moved down slightly. So the was cute and cuddly position made you look desperate as your arms were wrapped around Aqua's waist and your head had been resting on her slightly exposed stomach. You quickly  stood up with a blush prominent on your face. 

(Y/n):I-It isn't what it l-looked like!

Kazuma:Sure.

(Y/n):Just help me find my glasses.

Kazuma walked over to the barrel and then began to laugh. You walked over and rubbed you hand on top of the barrel to try and find you glasses. They were not there. You looked up and you mouth dropped.

(Y/n):Kazuma did you do this?!

Kazuma:No it wasn't me, but it is hilarious.

As though by magic, which in hind sight was a possibility in this world, your glasses made their way onto the face of a horse. The horse trotted around around proudly, waving his mane back and forth. You couldn't help but chuckle.

(Y/n):It does make him look smart.

Kazuma:Probably smarter than Aqua.

Aqua:Huh?

You both turned and saw Aqua sit up and rub her eyes.

Kazuma:Your finally up. Well we have to find jobs today.

You walked over to the hay pile and took a handful. You walked back to the stable and whistled. The horse stopped and walked over. It bit into the hay and you took your glasses. You placed them on your face and sighed in contempt.

(Y/n):Sweet eyesight how I missed the.

Kazuma:(Y/n) come on.

You waved to the horse and followed after your two companions. Aqua somehow magically dressing herself you decided not to question it as you began the first part of your journey. Finding a paying job.
