Traveling to a new land
I was enjoying a nice stroll through the mountains around Riften, when a courier came up to me. "Sir, I have a letter for you! It's from the High Council!" He said as he handed me the letter. "You also have a letter from the Empire!"
"Burn that one, and give me the one from the Jarl." I said, already used to the man finding me out in the middle of absolute nowhere. "Dude, seriously how do you find me?" I said as I read the letter.
"You don't hide as well as you think. I just follow the rumors from people you pass." he said as he burned the letter from the empire. I just sighed as I pulled out Arvak's skull out of my magic box. Nocturnal gifted me the box after the war, and explained to me that I no longer had to carry everything on my back. I placed the skull on the ground and waited for Arvak to come out of the soul cairn. A purple portal sprouted from the skull and a skeletal horse came galloping out of it. I pulled myself up onto the beasts back as I galloped in the direction of High Hrithgar.
La skip of time
I walked through the Grand doors to see a man arguing with the council of Jarl's I had set up after the war. The table was in the shape of a horseshoe, with a throne decorated for each hold. The Thanes of each Jarl stood behind the throne of their respected hold. in the middle was a wooden stand, for the guest speakers. currently on it, was a messenger.
"I was summoned why?" I asked as I walked in, Lydia following close behind. The Jarl's all stood as I walked around to a simple wooden chair in the center of the circle. "I was enjoying a walk when I received a message, as vague as ever, about something "important". I want to know what it is."
"We know you created the council for just the reason as to not hold any power and enjoy your freedom, but this is a matter that we felt needed your immediate attention, Dragonborn." Jarl Elsif said from my left.
"Who are you? I demand to see your King!" The messenger exclaimed. "Not some peasant!"
"We have no King." I said. "The High council of Nine governs over this land."
"Well, then I guess this was a waste of a trip to find the King of war." The messenger shouted. "I was told I would find the King of war, Lupus Moon, here!"
I sighed as I muttered, "Never can trust a Bard to keep the story straight." Over and over again. "Give me a minute, I will go and retrieve the man you speak of." I said as I walked out of the council room and into my personal room I had built. I walked back in seconds later, armor on. "I was told someone sought my attention. Who dares call upon me?"
"I am just a messenger, your majesty." he said, bowing as much as his body would allow. "I traveled here form the Kingdom of Belzerg. A nation whose borders overlap with that of the Demon King's Territory."
"A Demon as a King in the mortal realm? This is the first I have heard of this." I said, processing the fact that a demon has been out causing chaos and I have never heard of it in the past few years. "What is it that you want from us?"
"Our king seeks and alliance with you, in hopes of destroying the Demon King once and for all." The messenger said. "All we need is a few hundred foot soldiers to help in the front lines."
"Jarls of the nine holds, raise the banners." I said as I stood up from my seat.
The Jarls all looked at me in shock. It was silent until Balgruuf spoke up. "My king, are you sure about this, the banner has not risen since you fought against-"
"Do you question my judgement Jarl Balgruuf?" I asked, cutting him off. He just lowered his head. "I thought so. You have your orders. Jarl Laila, raise the thieves. Jarl Korir, Summon the mages. Jarl Brunwulf message the Dawnguard. Jarl Elsif, send word to the Vampires. We leave in two moons."
"My Liege, if you take the army, we will be left without defense!" Jarl Idgrod said.
"That is why I am taking only my army, the veterans of the civil war." I said as I walked out the doors. "I am not that foolish as to leave my home unguarded. Now, you have your orders. complete them."
Later
I am riding on a boat, Learning about the world outside of tamriel. The more I learned, the more exited I became. Brand new monsters, bandits, people with special abilities, and dumb people who think money is power. This is about to be fun.
