Chapter 6: The rage of a Primordial
Lupus P.O.V.
We watched as the Dullahan, gave off a menacing aura, sadly, no ゴゴゴゴ was to be seen.
"Why haven't you come to the castle, You wretches!" The Dullahan shouted.
"What?" Kazuma asks as she steeps back in shock. "Why? We're not firing explosion magic at you anymore..."
"Not firing it at me, you say? That's a barefaced lie!" The Dullahan shouted as he threw his head on the ground, then panicked to catch it. "That crazy crimson demon girl is still coming to my castle every single day!"
"Huh?" both me and Kazuma ask as we look at Megumin, who looks away. Kazuma grabs Megumin's face and stretched her cheeks. Megumin begged to explain herself, pulling away from Kazuma.
"Until now, I've been able to settle for unleashing my magic on empty plains, but since I learned the allure of using magic attacks on a castle, well... Now I need something big and hard, or I can't endure it." Megumin explained while fidgeting.
I stare at Megumin as I sighed deeply, perverted thoughts evading my mind. 'nope, nope, nope, too young. Don't you dare.... dam it.'
"Don't say that while fidgeting!" Kazuma freaked out, a small blush on her face. "Besides, you can't move after unleashing your magic! Which means you must have an accomplice..."
Both me and Kazuma stare at Aqua as she tries, and fails(As usual) to whistle. Kazuma proceeded to stretch Aqua's cheeks. Wonder what else she spread while they slept in that horse stall. Would explain why their scents are mixed.
"I can't get any worthwhile quests because of him, so I wanted revenge!" Aqua cried.
Verdia threw an aura wave at us, stopping the two from bickering.
"Hear me, fools. My name is Verdia."
Verdia the Dullahan
"This isn't the only thing I'm deeply offended by. Did you not have the back done to seek retribution to see retribution for your ally's death?!" Verdia shouted. "I may be evil now, but in life, I strove to be an upstanding knight. In my opinion, allowing the death of that man, a model knight who protected his ally and received my curse, to go to waste is simply-"
"Well, I don't care for much, but I want to go back to bed. I'm tired." I said as I walk forward, dwarven armor slowly materializing over my body, a Warhammer in my hand. I brushed my black hair away from my eyes as I stared down Beldia. "But I can't with you here."
"My curse should have killed you." Verdia said as he dismounted from the headless horse. "But still you walk above the ground. How?"
"I have a useless goddess on my side. She broke the curse soon after you left." I said as I marched right up to the headless horseman. "That and after I did some experimentation, I found out I am too holy for such a curse to affect me. The most I would get is some bad gas, that's about it."
"I see. You are the one that my King and Lord warned me about. The king without a land, the Adventuring King. I must not hold back then." Verdia put his head back on his body, magic strings sewing their way through his skin, keeping his head on his shoulders. He pulled the sword from the horse, holding it in one hand off to his side. "If you are holy, then I must make you fall from heaven."
"Haaa? Good luck." I said as I swung the hammer at him.
"{Descendance}" Was all Verdia said before a spell swirled around me.
"Oh?" I poked the edge of the barrier, before I felt teleportation magic take hold. I could have broken out of it, but I wanted Kazuma and her party to have some spot light. I looked around at my surroundings, seeing that I was in space, just about out of the planets gravitational pull. "Descendance. I would literally fall from heaven, if well, I was mortal."

Back on the planet
Everyone stared in shock as they watched Lupus just vanish before them. Verdia started to laugh like a dying cat as he put his sword away.
"That's it?" He laughed. "I thought he would be more of a challenge!"
Everyone started to sweat, and Kazuma though she heard someone pissing themselves. She heard Aqua sigh to her left. Kazuma looks over to see Aqua staring at the moon, deadpanning. Kazuma raised an eyebrow at this, but ignored it as Verdia began to monologue.
"If I felt like it I could massacre every inhabitant of this city!" Verdia said
Up on the moon, deep in slumber, Lupus felt the urge to slaughter a headless bitch, but shrugged it off and fell even deeper into the depths of his mind.
"You're awfully cocky for an undead!" Aqua said.
"As I should be! I just killed the Adventuring King!" Verdia said.
"Then where is the body?" Kazuma asked.
"Huh?"
"If there is no body, there is no proof." Kazuma said as she smirked at Verdia. "Anime 101."
"Whatever! Soon his body will fall on this town, and the impact will have destroyed this city!" Verdia smirked.
"Whatever." Aqua said as she held up a hand full of holy magic.
"Do you think a beginner adventurer's magic can-"
Verdia was cut off as Aqua used her {Turn Undead} spell, killing the headless horse, and making Verdia scream out in pain as he rolled around. Aqua panicked when Verdia stood back up.
"Hey, Kazuma, this isn't right! It's not working!" Aqua said.
"No, it looked pretty effective to me." Kazuma said. "He went "Gah!" and all."
"Are you really a beginner?" Verdia asked as he grunted in pain. "Isn't this a city a gathering place for beginners?"
"F-Fine, then. There's no need for me to fight you myself." Verdia summoned a death aura and summoned {Undead Knights} "Show this lot a glimpse of Hell!"
"Ah!" Kazuma said as she hit her hand on her palm, then pointed at Verdia. "I bet he's freaked out because your magic was more effective than he expected."
"T-that's not it!" Verdia exclaimed as he stepped back. "Why should the boss be the one you fight first? You start with the small fry-"
Verdia was cut off again as Aqua cast, {Sacred Turn Undead} making a giant pillar of blue light rise up to the sky, and then the moon, and hit Lupus in the face. But nothing happened to him, and he kept sleeping.
"M-My eyes! My eyes!" Verdia cried out.
"Wh-What should we do, Kazuma?" Aqua asked. "My purification magic isn't affecting him at all!"
"He did go "Yah!" and all. I think it was very effective." Kazuma explained.
"That's enough!" Verdia exclaimed. "Slaughter everyone in the city!"
At his command the army of about 1-2,000 undead charged at the adventurers.
"Now! Let me hear your screams of despair!" Verdia shouted, feeling smug, before he noticed something, at the same time Aqua did, as she began to run away, knowing it was because she was a goddess.
"WAKE THE FUCK UP LUPUS YOU LAZY WOLF!"
Up on the moon, in Lupus' mindscape
I scratch my head as I look around me. I was in a hall made of marble, but it was old, and worn down. Vines and cracks made themselves home among the walls and the floor. I walked forward, feeling as though I had walked these halls before. Further down I could hear laughter, and the sound of voices. I pushed open a set of doors that seemed to be made of a metal that looked like it viewed the universe, but I knew what it was. An indestructible metal that is only found in small quantities on every planet. about enough to make a earring, and that's it. Primordium. the same stuff that the Sword of Requiem is made of. speaking of that, it's not on my back, when it usually is in my dreams. the one place I am mortal, because dreams are not part of reality. but I am still god in my dreams, and can do just as much as I can out of my mind.
Any who, I look inside the room where I heard the laughter, but was greeted by a grand hall. It had sixteen thrones, all in a circle, but they were made of different materials. however, all but six thrones were broken or cracked,
On the left was a throne made of pure sun stone, blinding whoever looked at it. Next to it was a throne made of condensed air, then a throne made of stone. A throne made up of light, and a throne made of darkness sat next to each other. followed by a throne that looked to be made of beasts made out of shadow.
On the right, a throne made out of water and a throne made out of dove feathers sat together, followed by a throne made of a dark red stone, with five different liquids running off the back mixed into a pool. a throne made of what looked like space, but I wasn't sure, because it wasn't primordium.
Next up were four thrones that were in perfect condition, but made me feel rage. one was made up of bones, one of blood and weapons, one of banners that were burned, and one that had waves of black mist rolling off of it.
But what really caught my attention was a pair of thrones that were bigger than the rest. One was made of dirt and plants, and nature in general. It gave off a holy aura, that seemed to make the few shadows in the room retreat as far as they could into the corners, but the throne was rotting. The other was made of primordium, and gave off a aura that made me feel at home. it was giving off the strongest aura out of them all, and in perfect condition.
I grew in size to fit the throne, but as I went to sit down, the room darkened, and the room shook. and several things danced before me in the shape of people. I couldn't figure out what people looked like, but they seemed to be made of the same materials of the thrones. All but six were missing, the four that set me off, and the biggest two.
The doors opened and a woman made of dirt and plants walked in, following a man made of primordium. The other figures in the room bowed to the man, before me motioned them to rise. "Please my friends, rise. You know I hate it when others bow to me."
His voice carried a air of dominance, that seemed to make everyone who heard it listen and follow without question.
"Of course, Grandmaster." said the Man made of Sunlight who was sitting on his throne. "Where are the other four? They do not seem to be with you."
"They are not here?" The Grandmaster asked. "Strange. Can you see them Helios?"
"No."
"Hmm. We will have to start the meeting without them."
"Dear, please, relax." The woman next to him said as she guided him to his throne. "You shouldn't stress yourself."
"Yes, yes. I know." The man said, but as he sat down, the doors busted open, and a woman made of bones and a man made of heavy armor that spewed fire walked in.
"Ah, Death and War, you always seem to come hand in hand. where are the other two?" The Grandmaster asked.
"Far from here." They answered in sync. "But you should be more concerned about yourself, Grandmaster."
"Death, War, what is the meaning of this?" The Grandmaster asked as he stood up, pushing the woman next to him behind him.
"You have become weak, you brought our titles nothing but shame, and you still prattle on about having balance" War said as he spat with disgust.
"I long to ride into battle once more, to show those mortals who we really are!" Death shouted. "The Horsemen are becoming nothing but Legends to scare children!"
"So what? I lead us out of a dark time!" The Grandmaster shouted. "If I hadn't, we would all be dead! we are the only primoradial left! You should be glad I let the horsemen live! You four sent us into a war that claimed the lives of all races, nearly pushing us all to extinction! All of the minor Primordials are dead, their powers now apart of us, and what to you four do? You have the smart idea to go back to those times!"
"We thought you would disagree." Death said as she pulled out a scroll. "So we came prepared."
"No, you did not." The Grandmaster backed up and he summoned a sword out of thin air. "How did you get that! Our creator sealed it up so tight not even the combined efforts of all of us could break it!"
Death unraveled the scroll as War surrounded them in a ring of fire. Death and War opened their mouths, and shouted,
"WAKE THE FUCK UP LUPUS YOU LAZY WOLF!"
I woke up with a start as I rubbed my eyes. "Why do I feel like I watched myself die?" I asked out loud. "Eh, whatever. Now, who shouted that?" I peered down at earth, my eyesight enhancing as I looked. I saw Aqua running from a horde of undead, crying and casting holy spells, but every time she did, more would appear. I sigh as I stood up. "Welp. Time to be the hero." I said as I pushed off the moon with such force that I pushed it out of orbit. "Woops." I said as I pulled it back as I flew at the planet, soon catching fire as I pulled out a pair of war axes.
"TACTICAL NUKE INBOUND!" I shouted as I giggled like a mad man as I T-posed, making it look like I was a flaming cross, aiming for the horde of undead.
On the planet
Kazuma watched as Aqua ran away from the Undead, nearly laughing. Verdia was wondering what the fuck was going on with his undead, Megumin was trying to use explosion on the undead, but they were too scattered to do so, Darkness was sad the horde didn't chase her, and the others were panicking because that sword hero mitsu-whatsit and Lupus where not there, and Luna was..... having a beer? Let's check in on her later.
Aqua was running when she heard, "TACTICAL NUKE INBOUD!" followed by insane laughter. She looked up to see a flaming cross diving right at her.
"Oh FuCk!?" Aqua shouted as I landed on Aqua, a massive explosion that instantly killed the undead instantly happened after.
Now everyone was confused, as the horde was instantly killed by an explosion, but it wasn't Megumin's. I coughed as I stood up, Aqua still laid on the ground, knocked out.
"Woops. I was aiming for Verdia." I said.
"How, How are you alive?" Verdia asked, stepping back.
"Oh yeah, I suppose I should mention this, but, I'm not human." I said as I looked at Verdia, showing off my pointed canines. "But that won't matter. Boys, hold him off for me would ya? My shoulder is stiff from that landing."
"Hai!" shouted five men as they charged Verdia.
"It appears you wish to die first." Verdia said as he threw his head in the air, startling Kazuma.
"Stop!" She shouted, but it was too late. "Don't go!"
From Verdia's head came a burst of magic that looked like the eye of Sauron.
"I see." I said as I pulled out my bow. "So that's how he fights."
The red light from the eye shined down on everyone as Verdia killed the five men.
Verdia caught his head as he stood right where he was. "Who's next?"
"When Lupus-sama returns, he will defeat you!" some random lady shouted.
"Then, until he arrives..." Verdia said as he walked towards everyone. "Do you think you can hold out?!"
Verdia swung his sword at Darkness, who blocked it with her own, creating a flurry of sparks, as the ground caved in a little.
"How dare you? How dare you do that to them?!" Darkness shouted.
'they were nameless extras. best thing they'll ever do is die and become martyrs. Oh, wait, their already dead.' I thought to myself. 'Eh, what kind of King would I be if I let them die because I didn't want to fight. I'll bring them back after this is over.
"Stop, Darkness! Your sword is no match for him!" Kazuma shouted.
"As one whose calling is to protect others, there are some matters I cannot concede! Darkness shouted as she held back Verdia's blade. "I-I'm sure you intend to use those strong arms of yours to lewdly torture and make an example of me in front of everyone!" Darkness shouted, blushing. "Try it if you think you can! In fact, show me what you've got!"
"Enough of the weird delusions!" Verdia replies, slightly panicked. "They'll get the wrong idea about me!"
The dullahan and crusader parted, and Darkness took this opportunity to swing at Verdia.
"You're on, Verdia!"
It's inevitable that a holy knight would be my opponent!" Verdia shouted as he held up his blade. Darkness shouted as she swung heavy blows at Verdia, but I noticed whenever a blow would land, her blade would become ethereal, then pass through Verdia, before solidifying, and hitting whatever was close.
"A curse perhaps?" I wondered as they continued to clash. "No, I would have sensed it."
I watched as Darkness slid past Verdia, but the two boulders on each side of them broke in half.
"Impressive strength, would have split Verdia in half should her blade had stayed solid." I muttered.
"Huh?" Verdia was shocked that her blade didn't connect.
"So he's not the culprit." I muttered.
"What did you say Lupus?" Kazuma asked.
"I'll tell you later. Right now, we deal with this pest."
"You've become more aggressive lately, are you alright?" Megumin asked.
"I have? Didn't notice. Something about this guy pisses me off. I don't know why though." I said, feeling as if Verdia did or, has something that he shouldn't.
"What a disappointment." Verdia said. Darkness let out a battle cry as she charged Verdia again. "That's enough!" He shouted, and he slashed at Darkness.
"Darkness!" Kazuma and Megumin cried out as she started to bleed from where her arms where cut. "Darkness, stand down!"
"A Crusader, can't stand down when protecting someone behind them!" Darkness shouted. "That is absolute! Besides, this dullahan is the shrewd man I thought he was!"
"Huh?"
"He's been shaving away at my armor a little at a time for a while now." Darkness said. "Instead of stripping me nude, he's only left parts of my armor intact, leaving me in an even more proactive state than nakedness to publicly shame me!"
"GOD DAM IT DARKNESS!" I shouted as I smashed my head against the city wall.
"Bring it on!" Darkness said to Verdia. "Is this all there is to a shaming by the Devil King's army?! Hit me some more! Now!"
"Huh?!'
"At least consider the time and place! You fucking hardcore pervert!" Me and Kazuma shouted.
"Hardcore Pervert?" Darkness asked. Y-You should consider the time and place yourself, Kazuma! Taking a beating from a monster in public is already taking everything I've got... What in the world are you and this dullahan trying to do to me?!"
"I'm not doing anything!" Verdia, Kazuma, and I said to Darkness, and I was *This* close to punting her into space.
"Oh, well. you bought me some time." Kazuma said as she held up a glowing hand. {Create Water!}
From above Darkness and the Dullahan, two pillars of water fell, but Verdia dodged, so it only hit Darkness.
"I don't dislike being treated this way without warning, but... consider the time and place." Darkness said.
"Th-That's not it! This isn't some weird foreplay!" Kazuma shouted. "I'm doing this! {Freeze!}
Kazuma sent out a blast of ice magic as it froze the water under Verdia, freezing his legs in place.
"As long as it's harder for you to dodge, that's enough." Kazuma said. "This is what I was really going for!" {Steal!}
But nothing happened to Verdia.
"That wasn't a bad trick. This just shows out difference in level." Verdia said. "Now, let's put an end to this farce." Verdia walked forward, breaking the ice on his legs.
I could see Kazuma trying to figure out Verdia's weakness, as he was beating up darkness.
"As a former knight, I give my thanks to the Devil King, my lord Leviathan, and the false gods for this chance to have a bout with you." Verdia said as he posed to give the final blow. "This is farewell, heroic yet foolish crusader!"
{Create Water!}
Kazuma sent a blast of water at Verdia, but he dodged.
"What are you trying to do, foolish bitch!" Verdia shouted.
"It's water!" Kazuma shouted as I smirked. I raised my had and the other mages shouted with me.
{Create Water!}
"Stop those attacks!" Verdia shouted as he dodged all the blasts. "C-Curse you all!"
"What's the matter Verdia?" I asked as I raised my hand. "Afraid of a little water?"
"N-NO!" Verdia responded as I controlled all of the water to form a bunch of water knights.
{Water Warriors}
But it proved useless as Verdia destroyed them all.
"Damn, I'm going to run out os magic!" Kazuma said as Aqua, who just woke up waked up behind us.
"Hey, what's all this commotion?" She asked. "What sort of game are you playing?"
"This useless goddess!" Kazuma shouted as he sent more water at Verdia.
"His weakness is water." I said as I created more water warriors.
"Even a lame goddess like you must be able to use one water spell!"
"It's about time I punished you, you insolent jerk." Aqua said. "I can use flood-class water magic."
"You can?!" Kazuma shouted as she sent another water blast at Verdia, who was getting closer, but backed off when I used my favorite shout [Fus Ro Da] at about 1% power, because I didn't want to go find the corpse to get information out of.
"Apologize!" Aqua said. "Apologize for calling a water goddess a "Lame Goddess"!"
"Ladies, fuck each other later, fight now." I muttered, but it seemed like they didn't hear me.
"What about you Lupus!"
"I use world-class magic. If I use any water spell above the two I am using now, I will flood the planet. Which is honestly tempting right now." I said. "Aqua, stop bitching and use a water spell. I'm going to get everyone inside the walls and put up a barrier. Come, Kazuma."
"I ushered everyone inside the wall, and created a {Dome} around Axel.
"All my followers in this world, the water goddess Aqua commands you. Answer my request, my prayer, and show the world thy power!"
Verdia tried to run, but it seems like I forgot to grab Darkness, who had grabbed Verdia's leg, and prevented him from doing so.
{Sacred Create Water!}
We watched as millions of gallos of water poured from the sky, but bounced off the dome, saving the wall from being destroyed. when the water receded, we all watched as Verdia stood up.
"What are you thinking?" Verdia asked, not noticing Kazuma sneaking behind him. "Are you an idiot? Are you a complete imbecile?!"
"Now's your chance, Kazuma!" Aqua said, giving away her position.
"This time, I'll steal your weapon for sure!" Kazuma said.
"I may be weakened, but a beginner adventurer's {Steal} will never take possession of my weapon!" Verdia shouted as he tossed his head in the air. "I'll end this once and for all!" The eye was created once more as Verdia looked down upon the battle field.
{Steal!}
I smirked as everything paused. Instead of stealing his weapon, I had Kazuma steal his head. this battle was over as the adventurers began to play soccer with his head.
but when Aqua went to purge him from the world, I felt like something was off.
"Aqua wait!"
{Sacred Turn Undead!}
But when Aqua cast the spell, a earthen spear stabbed her through the chest.
"AQUA!" I shouted as I broke the spear. I felt the same energy from the woman made of dirt in my dream in the spear, and now in Verdia.
"Puny mortal, Holy Magic no longer works on me!" Verdia shouted as earthen tendrils grabbed his head, and returned it to his body. "My Lord Leviathan, Blessed me with the power of the Queen Primordial: GAIA!"
Deep within my mind, I felt something stir. "Gaia?"
"You fools stand to chance against me now, all I needed was the proper amount of holy magic, that I now have running through my body!"
I grit my teeth as I felt a rage grow deep inside me, one that wasn't my own. "This bastard dares to use the power of my Queen!?"
I feel the seals on my power start to break as my Daedric armor begins to form around my body.
"I AM THE EARTH FATHER! YOU CANNOT KILL ME! YOU CANNOT KILL MY LORD!"
the armor starts to crack as it can no longer contain my power, blood red light begins to seep through and the ground beneath me cracks. Kazuma looks over to see me and backs up in fear at my expression. "He dares claim himself Earth Father!?"
"I AM IMMORTAL, INVINCIBLE, UNDEFEATABLE!" Verdia shouted as more spears pierce adventurers.
I feel my sanity snap, and everything stops. I look up at Verdia, who had stopped chanting. I look into a pool of water nearby, and sat that my usually golden eyes had changed color. My Iris had turned silver, the pupil red, and the whites of my eye turned black. My black hair had turned Red and Silver, and my long canine teeth had become human size.
"You dare claim the title that belonged to my Queen, My love!?"
I was no longer in control. Something, or someone, else was in control, and they were pissed. I could only watch as the power I struggled to contain burst out, as space around me bent, the earth split, and the sky darken. Lightning struck the ground as Adventurer's raced for Axel.
I am not going to kill you... I'm going to make you suffer!"
And with that, the armor that sealed my power shattered, and all Hell broke loose.
