The hated two vs. The loved two

(Will be pretty much completely different from the actual fight for right now.)

Sakura just stared at Kruno with wide eyes, and took a deep breath as she looked Kruno over. It didn't seem as if Kruno had gotten any taller, or that she had really changed much other than the scar over her left cheek that went through her fang mark, and the fact that it looked like the two girls had switched hairstyles completely. The last time that Sakura saw Kruno, she had shoulder length hair. Now, Kruno's chocolate hair landed down by her waist, perfectly framing her face as a few pieces fell down the front of her body, it was still shaggy like normal, but so much longer.

The way that Kruno held herself was new to Sakura. Not that Kruno had ever been someone to not hold herself with pride, but now it seemed like she was someone completely different; and the confidence in her stance shocked Sakura. Sakura's eyes roamed all over Kruno's body, trying to figure out the last thing that she could not put her finger on that had changed. Kruno snorted slightly, looking at Sakura with a bored expression. She was getting annoyed that all Sakura was doing was staring at her. It was annoying.

When Kruno snorted, Sakura looked up at her face, and caught the girls eyes. And that, that is when she realized what had changed about Kruno. Her eyes, the eyes that used to shine brighter than anything, would make any girl jealous, and could wrap any guy around her finger, were no longer bright. They were dull. They were filled with hurt, and sadness, and just how broken that Kruno was. The bright, happy girl who would have put her life on the line for any, hell, she did for Sakura... She was gone. No, this girl standing in front of her was not the Kruno that Sakura had grown to love, the girl with the bubbly personality who was constantly fighting with her and Ino, the girl who Sasuke was best friends with. The girl that Shikamaru fell in love. The girl whose brother loved her more that he loved himself. This was not that girl. This, this was a broken girl.

Sakura got slight tears in her eyes, but she wiped them away with her arm. She couldn't cry, no not now. Maybe later, when she has won this battle, or maybe when she's lost. Sakura could cry when she was away from Kruno, with her teammates that loved her and would be there to support her. Not in front of Kruno. Sakura sighed heavily as she looked into Kruno's eyes for one last time, and that's when she noticed the last thing she ever expected to see in Kruno.

Bloodlust.

No, it was apparent now that this was now Kruno. Sakura wasn't sure who this girl was, but it was not Kruno. Kruno hated killing people, she hated seeing people sad, or people dying. Kruno was the girl who would pick up all the pieces of shattered hearts, and place them back together as best as she could even if it meant that she would get hurt in the process. Sakura would know after all, considering before Ino, Kruno was her only other friend. But when Ino came along and began to befriend Sakura, Sakura slowly forgot about Kruno. She let Kruno be alone, just like she had been. And she was forever sorry for that.

The pink haired girl looked at her old friend, and sighed softly. She had to tell herself that this was not Kruno. This is not Kruno, this is someone who wanted to kill her. This was someone who would make people suffer for fun. This is the girl who has watched people die, this is the girl that let them kill Gaara... This is the girl who helped them kill Gaara. Sakura clenched her fist tightly in a ball, and tears began to run down her face as she looked at Kruno, and began to shout at her.

"How could you stand by and watch them kill Gaara, Kruno?!" Sakura screamed at her, her tears rolling off of her face and onto the ground, making it slightly wet were Sakura stood. "How could you stand by as they killed one of your best friends?! Someone who loved you! Someone who missed you! Someone who thought about you!" Sakura continued to scream, but Kruno just stared at her with a bored expression, but on the inside, she was breaking with every word that Sakura said. She was right, after all. How could she sit by and let them kill Gaara? She sat by while they killed one of her best friends, even though they hardly talked when she met him. They would sit together when Gaara couldn't sleep, of course he never did, but Kruno would sit with him on nights she could sneak away from her family. They wouldn't talk a lot, mostly just sit in silence, or Kruno would go on about her day, but Gaara always listened.

"How could you be so fucking heartless, Kruno?! What happened to the smiling little girl that Sasuke cared about, that Kiba cries about every day, that Shikamaru fell in love with! Huh?! Where did she go?" Sakura shouted, and Kruno began to shake slightly, before she snapped and started yelling back.

"She died! She was killed three years ago! This is who I am now, this is what all of you pushed me to!" Kruno shouted, and she took a few steps forward, before running at Sakura with her sword raised. Sakura quickly pulled a kunai from her pouch, and as Kruno brought down her sword, Sakura blocked it with her kunai. Sakura began to use force to push up against Kruno's sword, and Kruno pushed back down against Sakura's kunai. The tears of the girls fell on the ground, and finally the both pushed off of each other and jumped away from each other. Kruno ran at Sakura again, and Sakura ran at her. Both girls had their weapons in the air, and they began to clash at every movement the girls made at each other.

Kruno brought her sword down from the side, and Sakura blocked it with her kunai before swinging her leg out to knock Kruno's legs out from under her, but Kruno jumped just in time and used both of her feet to kick Sakura back a few feet, before she landed on her feet. Sakura screamed out as she pulled two shuriken from her pocket, and threw them at her friend. Kruno used her blade and perfectly dodged the attack, before she ran at Sakura again, slashing her sword down quickly. Sakura threw her arms up to dodge the attack, but Krunos blade still managed to cut into her arm slightly. Sakura winced in pain, but used the arm that was not in pain and infused chakra in her fist, and slammed in into Kruno's cheek before she had the chance to block it.

Kruno was sent flying to the side, scooting along the ground slightly until she skidded to a stop. She stood up, and wiped the trail of blood off of her face, before she gathered her sword from the ground. She smirked slightly, and met eyes with Sakura. "That all you got, billboard brow?" She spat, and Sakura began to shake slightly as she ran at Kruno, her fist raised high in the air. Kruno brought her arms up in an X shape, and blocked Sakura's blow as best she could, but she was still scooted back slightly, never letting herself loose her balance.

Sasori and Granny Chiyo didn't move, they just watched as they two friends fought it out. Sasori was slightly surprised in how Kruno was fighting, because it was not at her full ability. No, Kruno could have killed Sakura by now if she really wanted to, because that is how she was trained. She was trained to kill without mercy, not even to those she loved. But as he watched the girl move, he knew that she was holding back. And honestly, Sasori thought he understood. But Granny Chiyo wasn't moving because she was shocked at how quickly Sakura had broken.

Chiyo had only heard of Kruno a few times, and she'd seen her only one other time before. It was when Kruno was smaller and she was in Suna with the Akastuki, not that Granny Chiyo knew that at the time. But Lady Chiyo had always heard stories of the girl with the red fang marks on her face, the one that befriend Gaara and his siblings, the girl who stopped three much older kids from hurting Kankuro one day, and the girl who helped repair Temari's fan when it had been ripped, and the girl who would sit up all night with the Jinchuuriki because she just felt like he needed a friend. Oh yes, Chiyo had heard many a story of the girl with the fang marks along her face, but never did she think she would see how corrupted the girl became.

Sakura ran at Kruno again, and went to hit her with a chakra infused punch, but Kruno jumped back and flipped, landing on her feet a few feet away from Sakura, before reaching in her pouch on her thigh, and pulling out a few shuriken that she threw at Sakura, who dodged all of them with ease. Sakura smirked at Kruno, and ran at her again. She brought her foot up, and caught Kruno under the jaw, knocking her back slowly, but the Kruno she kicked disappeared into a water clone. Sakura began to frankly look around, but it was too late. Kruno was above her in the air so quickly that Chiyo couldn't warn Sakura about her, and she brought down her leg roughly against Sakura's head. Sakura flew back slightly and slid along the ground, before standing up and wiping her face.

"What happened to the sweet little girl I met when I was 4?" Sakura asked. "The Kruno standing in front of me in a fucking bitch."

"I grew up." Kruno replied, and both of the girls took off running towards each other, slashing at each other with a sword and a kunai creating clashing noises at metal hit metal, slight gasps and winces as the metal connected with skin, both girls looking at each other with a deadly look in their eyes, but tears still fell out of both of their eyes.

Because they never saw it coming to this. No, they never saw it coming to them fighting each other with the intent to kill each other, because that is not what childhood best friends do. Not best friends that made a promise to always protect each other, no matter what. Kruno could remember that day so clearly. Sakura was sitting on one side of a tree, and Kruno was on the other. Both small girls were crying, and had their heads placed in their arms. But when Kruno heard Sakura crying, she stood up and peaked around the tree shyly before she whispered to the girl.

"Are you okay?" Kruno asked, and the pink haired girl looked up before shaking her head.

"N-No.." She mumbled out, and Kruno sat down beside her, pulling her knees up to her chest, looking at the sad girl.

"Well, what's wrong?"

"Everyone-e keeps making fun of my forehead..." She trailed off, and Kruno tilted her head slightly.

"But there isn't anything wrong with your forehead!" Kruno said, and Sakura nodded.

"Y-Yeah there is... It's too big.." She said, pointing to her forehead, and that is when Kruno giggled slightly and reached out to Sakura.

"It's okay! My forehead is really big too, see!" She said, before moving her bangs from across her forehead, showing that a lot like Sakura, Kruno had a fairly wide forehead. Sakura tilted her head slightly as she looked at Kruno, before a weak smile spread upon her lips.

"Tha-ank you..." She said softly, and Kruno smiled brightly as she stuck her arm out to Sakura.

"My name is Kruno Inuzuka! Let's be friends!" Kruno said with a smile, and Sakura took her hand shyly, giving it a light shake.

"My-y name is Sakura Haruno..." She said, before nodding. "I would like that-t Kruno."

"I promise, I'll always protect you! My mommy said that is what friends do!" She said, and for the rest of the day, they laughed and played together, until it was time to go home.

But now, any little bit of that promise that may have still been true had been wiped out, and broken before the girls very eyes. The two girls continued to go at it, fighting as hard as they possible could against each other. It was heartbreaking to watch, especially when if it was known to the person watching just how close the two had been at the age of 4, and even after that when Sakura left Kruno alone, she still watched over the girl to make sure that she was okay.

Kruno swung her sword at Sakura, and it made a gash in the beautifully pale skin on Sakura's arm, causing blood to begin to fall on the ground beside of Sakura. Granny Chiyo screamed out at Sakura, but Sakura continued to fight. She threw two shurikens at Kruno, and she blocked one, but the other landed in her stomach. Kruno hissed in pain as she pulled the shuriken from her stomach, and dropped it to the ground. Even with the black fabric of her shirt, you could see where the blood began to seep through her shirt from the wound on her stomach.

Kruno was about to charge at Sakura again, but Sasori's voice intervened. "Kruno, stop." He said, and Kruno stopped dead in her tracks. "Go find Deidara, I will finish these two by myself." He said, and Kruno looked at Sasori, before back at Sakura and Granny Chiyo. "And that is an order." Sasori added, and the brunette sighed heavily before looking at Sakura.

"We'll finish this another day, Haruno." Kruno said, before she ran to Sasori, grabbed her cloak, and disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Sakura just looked in slight amazement before nodding her head.

"That we will, Inuzuka." She spoke, before walking over to Granny Chiyo.

Kruno reappeared in the forest, near where part of Team Gai were fighting clones of themselves that where perfect copies of themselves. The clones had all of the abilities of the originals, which made it harder form them to fight against the clones, Kruno found it quite hilarious because she had to do that during one of her trainings. It took her nearly a day to beat herself.

She began to walk around the forest, looking for Deidaras giant clay bird, and sighed heavily when she couldn't find her. A sudden pain shot through her stomach, and she cried out in pain before hitting her knees. Her adrenaline had finally worn off, and she was feeling everything that Sakura had done to her. Her face hurt, her stomach was bleeding, her arms were bleeding, she looked like a wreck.

She crawled over to a tree, and sat down beside it before she unzipped half of her cloak, and pulled it down slightly and then pulled up both of her shirts, looking down at the open gash on her stomach. She bit her lip slightly as she looked at her arms, and saw the gashes on them that were also dripping blood on the ground beside her. She gave a deep breath before she reached in a pouch on her leg, and pulled out bandages.

Kruno knew only a few medical jutsus, but nothing that could stop this bleeding. She wrapped the bandage around the lower half of her stomach where it was bleeding, making sure it was tight before going to her arms. She finished bandaging herself before she zipped her cloak back up, and stood up slowly. The pain was spreading through her whole body, and she just wanted to lay down and cry about it, but she had to find Deidara, or someone else from her team.

She walked through the forest, her arm cradling her stomach until she got closer to the large gap with the stream inside of it. She looked up and smiled when she saw Deidara's clay bird above her. She began to follow it on foot, until Deidara looked down and saw the bloody and beaten up Kruno, and the eyes that was visible widened slightly.

"You look awful dog!" Deidara called out, and Kruno just chuckled slightly.

"Not that you look any better, ya tranny!" She shouted back and Deidara grew an anime vein on his forehead.

"I am a boy, yeah!" He shouted, and Kruno widened her eyes as she walked along the edge of the cliff.

"But you're prettier than me! And I'm pretty sure your hair is longer than mine!" She called out, and Deidara just rolled his eyes.

"Yo dog, go find Kisame. You look awful and like you're in a lot of pain, I got these guys." He said, and Kruno nodded without an argument, because honestly, right now she did want to be with Kisame. She sighed heavily and took off running into the forest, looking for Kisame and Itachi,

//

It took her nearly an hour, but she finally came across her two teammates, and she smiled to herself.

"Kisame!" Kruno called out, and Kisame turned quickly, excited to see Kruno. But when his eyes landed on her, his eyes widened slightly and he ran towards her.

"Good lord, Kruno! What happened to you?!" He asked, and she gave a cheeky grin.

"I got in a fight." She said, and Itachi walked over to them, looking down at her.

"Are you seriously hurt anywhere?" Kisame said, and Kruno nodded slightly before pointing to her stomach.

"I had a shuriken lodged in my stomach, and I yanked it out, and it was still bleeding when I look at it last!" She said, before laughing sadly. "It still hurts a lot." She mumbled, and Kisame gave a long sigh before he picked the girl up in his arms, and walked with Itachi to go find the rest of the Akastuki.
