Kruno giggling slightly as she stared at Shikamaru, watching the tears falling down his face.

"Oh look at the fucking cry baby!" Kruno laughed out loud, looking at Hidan. "This outta be fun."

Shikamaru just stared at Kruno, taking in all of her features. All the features that she thought were rotting in the ground, all the features he thought he would never see again. All the features, that somehow had seemed to change since last time that he saw her. Her hair was now at her waist which shocked him, because Kruno hated long hair. The scar along her cheek was slightly a shock, since she didn't have it last time he saw her, but then again, it's been three years.

Her eyes seemed dead. They were sparkling when she looked at him like they used to, they didn't have hope and determination in them like they used to. They didn't have love in them anymore. No, her eyes were cold and dead. It really was like he was looking into his dead lovers eyes because of how dull they were. It was frightening.

"Are you done strategizing?" Hidan asked he began to pull the sword out of his body, placing them on his back. "How pesky, stabbing me in the lung. The gods are going to punish you. You don't know a thing about us." He said, pushing one of the swords forward. "Especially about how Kruno has grown. She's right when she says she's unstoppable."

Kruno watched as Shikamaru crouched down, and got in position for his shadow stitching Jutsu, and she smirked slightly. Asuma raised his Chakra Blades at Hidan, and ran at him. Hidan laugh and ran at him, and their weapons clashed together before they landed on the ground, looking back at the other.

Shikamaru's shadows began to go after Hidan, and Kruno gave a small smirk before she ran at Shikamaru with her sword in the air so fast that the other two 'guarding.' him didn't seem see her move. When she got to Shikamaru, she used her foot and kicked him in the side of the face, sending him flying back slightly along the ground. Shikamaru groaned in pain as the other two looked at Kruno with a shocked expression, not knowing when they got there.

"Dammit!" Shikamaru said as he began to stand up, but Kruno ran at him again and delivered a swift hit with her leg against his face, causing him to scoot back against the ground slightly.

"When did she get so strong?!" Imuzo shouted at his partner who was staring at Kruno with wide eyes. "When did she get so fast?!"

"When I died." Kruno replied as she swung her leg around, and caught Imuzo under his jaw slightly, throwing him up into the air with a gentle smirk.

The other guy just stared at Kruno, not making a move so she shrugged him off. If he wasn't going to make the fight worth her time, why even bother?

Her attention went back to Shikamaru had had pushed himself up off to his feet, and he had a kunai in his hand. Kruno gave a laugh as she took the same pose from earlier, and smiled at her ex lover.

"Are you gonna stand there or are you going to fight me?" Kruno said, and Shikamaru smirked sadly as he ran towards her. When he got close end, Kruno brought her sword around and it clashed with Shikamaru's kunai. Both of them were pushing against the other weapons, staring at each other in the eyes until both of them leaped away from each other.

"You've gotten stronger, I'll give you that." Kruno said smiling at Shikamaru. Shikamaru gave her a small smile back as they ran at each other again, and began to swing their weapons at the other, each time it was clashing with the others weapon. The sound of metal hitting against each other.

"Why are you-" Shikamaru started go speak, but he was cut off by the clashing of their weapons, but he began again. "-doing this Kruno?! This isn't like you!" He shouted, and Kruno gave him an evil smile.

"No, this is exactly who I am. Exactly who you made me!" She shouted back, bringing her sword around and hitting Shikamaru's arm slightly, causing him to hiss in pain.

"What the hell do you mean, I made you?!" Shikamaru shouted, and Kruno laughed her very menacing laugh.

"This is what you made me Shikamaru. You killed the little girl you fell in love with." She spat, and Shikamaru stopped moving for a few minutes before he shook his head quickly when it clicked.

"I didn't do anything to you, Kruno!" He shouted as they ran at each other, weapons clashing the against each other with a sad aroma around the two.

"Yes you did! You fucking destroyed me, Shikamaru. You killed my happiness. You killed me!" Kruno screamed as she brought her sword down on Shikamaru's arm again, cutting him slightly deeper.

"That wasn't me, Kruno!" He screamed as he jumped back from the fight, and stared at Kruno, who was smiling a half smile at him.

"I don't believe you." She said, and Shikamaru literally felt his heart crack down the middle. She didn't trust him. She didn't believe him. She didn't care about him anymore. She wasn't his Kruno.

"What did you do with the Kruno I love?" He said quietly, and Kruno's eyes lit up slightly, a murderous grin forming over her lips.

"She died. This is who I am now, and I like it this way." She said, laughing with an open mouth, her canine teeth becoming more apparent. "I don't know what the word love means, and that's all your fault." She spat, before running at Shikamaru with her sword raised, ready to stab him.

She got right in distance to hit him in vital point when she was stopped. She glanced down at her feet, and laughed slightly as she saw her feet were caught in Shikamaru's Shadow Possession Jutsu, their bodies face to face for the first time in a long time, Shikamaru just staring at Kruno, the sadness swimming through his eyes and breaking Kruno's stone cold heart.

"Really? This ol' trick on me?" She asked, the sadness lacing through her voice on accident. She sighed softly, and watched as her arm was placed by her side by Shikamaru. They stared at each other, a slight glare on Kruno's face.

"Kruno, just listen to me." Shikamaru said, glancing over at the fight that was irrupting between Asuma, Hidan, Imuzo, and Kotezu since Shikamaru was fighting with Kruno, they went and helped with Hidan.

"I don't want to." Kruno said, staring at Shikamaru's face with a deadly expression. "You broke me, you son of a bitch."

"It wasn't me, Kruno! Do you really fucking believe that I would do that to you?! I love you!" He shouted, and Kruno turned red with anger.

"No you fucking don't!" She shouted back. "If you loved me, you wouldn't have told me that you didn't love me, you would have come looking for me, you would be begging me to fucking come home with you, which I wouldn't, you wouldn't have done any of the shit that you did! You wouldn't have broken my trust in every goddamn person I know! You wouldn't have broken me so bad that I don't even remember what it's like not to cry every time you cross my mind!" She screamed, shaking slightly and Shikamaru shook his head.

"It wasn't me, Kruno! It was a ninja from the other village that were invading us! I would never do that to you, because I do love you, Kruno. I have loved you since the first day I fucking saw you and everyday after! I have cried everyday for last three years because I thought you were dead!" He screamed, tears falling down his face as he looked at his hateful lover. "I have visited your grave sight everyday for two years because I thought you were dead. I thought I lost the best fucking thing in my life. I thought I lost my fucking soulmate! And standing in front of this Kruno right now, I have! You are not the Kruno I fell in love with. The sweet little girl with bright eyes and the best personality ever! The girl who had me wrapped around her fucking finger, the one I would do anything for. You are not her." He said, slowly trailing down to a whisper. Kruno had slight tears in her eyes, because what he said was true. She was not the same girl that Shikamaru fell in love with all of those years ago. She was hateful, cold, sick, a murder, and she was proud of all of those features, but hearing Shikamaru name off all of the traits that she lost, it broke her down slightly more than she already was.

"If it wasn't you, why would someone else want to sabotage our relationship, Shikamaru? It makes no sense." Kruno said after a few minutes of silence, staring at Kruno. This was the first time that her voice didn't sound defensive while talking to him.

"I don't know, Kruno. I really do not fucking know. But why didn't you come back? Why didn't you try to tell people that you were alive. Your damn brother was so broken up after you left that they had people watching him in case he tried to commit suicide. Your mom, she isn't the same. She is always on missions to keep you off of her mind. Kiba is constantly alone. Everyone misses you. I miss you." He said as he reached forward and touched her face lightly, and as much as Kruno wanted to flinch back she could not because of the Jutsu that Shikamaru had ever in.

Shikamaru looked at Kruno for a few minutes, the look in his eyes something that she could not read like she used to be able to do when they were dating. She used to be able to pick apart how he was feeling just by looking in his eyes, but she couldn't right now. But her eyes widened when Shikamaru did the only thing he could think of to prove his love to her again.

He kissed her.

He kissed her with all of might, all of the love, all of the sorrow, all of the tears, all of the feelings, all the hurt, all the hatred, just everything that he had felt in the last three years without her. Her heart sped up slightly as she kissed him back just slightly, but she had to stop herself. She couldn't let her emotions get the better of her in this fight.

But deep in Kruno's chest, her heart lit up only slightly. And when Shikamaru pulled back from her, and looked into eyes, he saw just a little bit of the old light that used to be in hers. It was just a slight slimmer of hope in her eyes, the beautiful shinning that Shikamaru loved so much. And when Shikamaru's shadow Jutsu wore off, Kruno didn't punch him like he was expecting. She didn't start screaming, she didn't stab him, she just stared up at him. She was
quiet for a few minutes, before she looked over at Hidan, and called out to him.

"Hidan, stop." She said, and everyone around her stopped moving, and turned to the girl who suggested that they stop fighting.

"What the fuck slut?!" Hidan yelled, and Shikamaru got slightly angry at hearing him call her a slut, but he just continued to let Kruno do what she was doing.

"I said stop. We're done here." She said, looking at Kakuzu. "We're leaving." She said, and the leaf village ninja's jaws dropped slightly.

"I cannot stop in the middle of a fucking ritual, Kruno!" Hidan shouted, and Kruno looked over at him with a deadly look in her eyes.

"I said, we are done here." Kruno said, the deadly tone in her voice even scaring Hidan slightly. "I will find you someone else to sacrifice to Lord Jashin, but for now, we are fucking leaving." She said, and Hidan sighed in defeat as he walked over to Kruno and Kakuzu. Hidan and Kakuzu leaped off of the ground and into the trees, but Kruno stayed on the ground, picking up her cloak and sliding it back on.

She turned around, and nodded her head at her old sensei, her old lover, and the other two standing there. "Until we meet again." She said, and with that, she leaped into the trees and disappeared.
