Third Person POV

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes!"

"No, Kruno. Stop arguing with me." Itachi said, looking down at the girl who was glaring up at him. She had been bugging him for nearly two hours now, wanting to read one of the books that he had just gotten, and not even been able to read himself. She continued to stare into his eyes with a glare. Finally, he sighed heavily and pulled the book out from the bag he had, and placed it gently in her hands.

"If anything happens to my book, I will personally rip your head off, got it?" He spat, and Kruno gave him a tooth grin, nodding her head quickly.

"Hai!" She said before she took off running towards the living room, throwing herself on the couch. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, except the fact that Kisame, Zetzu, Tobi, and Hidan were sitting on the couch, so she was currently laying straight across four of the most wanted criminals ever.

"Yo, slut, what the fuck?!" Hidan said, and Kruno put her finger against his lips, signaling for him to shut up. He growled slightly against her finger before he opened his mouth to bit down on her finger, and without even looking up to see what he was doing, Kruno spoke deadly.

"Bite my finger, and I will kill you, even if you are immortal." She said, and Hidan closed his mouth, letting out a huff in defeat. Her head was laying Hidan's lap, her upper torso on Tobi, her lower torso on Zetzu, and the very edge of her feet were on Kisame. Kisame began to chuckle slightly, and Kruno glanced back at him from her book with an eyebrow raised.

"What are you laughing about?" She asked, and he began to laugh a little bit more.

"It's just... You're so fucking tiny, but yet you're so deadly and I typically forget just how short you are..." He said, and Kruno got off of the couch, crossing her arms over her chest, pouting at blue tinted man. She then turned and walked back to her room, swaying her hips as she walked.

When she came into her room, she sighed softly and laid the book down on her bed. She then sat on the floor, and pulled a box out from under her bed. When she opened the box, a thousand memories came flying back all at once. Inside that box, was her ex lover's jacket. Something she had not been able to get rid of, something she couldn't just burn like she wanted. Something that brought back so many terrible memories of being hurt by the one person that promised to never hurt her. A single tear ran down her face, and she gripped the fabric of it slightly.

"You know, you'll never be able to forget him if you keep looking at the jacket." The blue man said as he walked into her bedroom. Kruno glanced up at him, and nodded her head slightly as she put the box back under the bed. Kisame sighed softly and walked over to the girl, extending his hand to her. She took it and he pulled her up into a tight hug. Honestly, he forgets that she is still a kid sometimes, and so does she.

She hugged him back tightly, and they rocked side to side slowly before Kisame pulled back and looked down at her, placing one hand on her face to make her look at him. "You're loved here, Kruno. Don't worry about him." He said, and she nodded slightly. "Get your cloak, it's time to begin." He said, and she nodded slightly with a sigh as she went over to her closet, and trudged on her official Akatsuki cloak on over top of the black ninja pants, black shirt and fish net top she had on. She zipped it up so that it covered most of her face, especially the fang marks on her cheeks. She slid on her Akatsuki ring and left her room.

She arrived in the room that would hold the gigantic King of Hell statue, and Kruno stood on the side lines, being as she waited for Deidara and Sasori. She sighed softly as she stood near the entrance of this cave, leaning her head against the rock wall before smirking as the giant rock opened, and in came Deidara and Sasori with a giant bird made of Deidara's glay. He landed beside the girl, and she watched as Leader-Sama's blackened out self turned towards him.

"You're late." Pein said.

"The Jinnchuuiki was stronger than I thought." That's when the rock behind them began to go back down. That's when Krunos eyes met the broken figure of Gaara, and she sighed softly. She still had deep friendship feelings for him, but she could not say anything to them in fear of punishment. This is what they had to do, and that was it.

The owl unrolled its tail and placed Gaara on the ground before disappearing in a cloud of smoke. That's when Pein began to make different handsigns, smashing his hand into the ground, and pulling out the gigantic King of Hell Statue from the ground. Kruno watched in awe, as she had never seen this before.

"Assemble." The leader said, and he performed a simple handsign and all of her fellow teammates appeared on their fingertips, and Deidara and Sasori took their places. Kruno stayed on the ground, and watched since she was the eleventh person of the Akatsuki. "Let's begin." He said, and that's when Kruno went and sat outside the cave, standing guard as she did for most missions, it was not something she was ever fond of, but it was Peins direct orders, and she wasn't about to go back on what Pein told her to do. Plus, it worked a lot better because of her nose. The actually Zetzu would keep an eye on the area as well, but Kruno was good with this due to her nose. She sighed, and took her place on a high rock above of the area that everyone would be, and took off her cloak, placing it under her. She began to fiddle with her over grown and sharpened black nails.

It was beginning to get darker into the night when Kruno finally saw something out of the ordinary. It was a small brown and black dog, with a leaf band head band. It was the same dog that had helped her and the team Kakashi had sent out the day of the Chunin exams, so Kruno squealed and covered her face with her Akatsuki robe so the dog would not see her, but she knew that she would have to go into the base to tell Pein at some point. Finally, the dog turned away and ran back from where he came, and she gave out a long, happy sigh as she removed her cloak, and started to take watch again.

The leaf village ninja had gone to Suna to heal Kankuro, and now, to find Gaara. Kakashi had sent out his hound dogs, and at the moment Kakashi, Temari, Kankuro, Naruto, Sakura, and Granny Chio were all sitting in Kankuro's hospital room, waiting.

"Hey, how's Kruno?" Kankuro asked. Everyone but lady Chio and himself froze. The news of her 'death.' had not reached Suna yet. Temari sighed softly as she placed a hand on Kankuro's shoulder, and watched as Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi all hung their heads.

"Did I say something wrong?" He asked, looking around at everyone, and Naruto looked up with sad eyes.

"She... she died, Kankuro." He said, and Kankuro's eyes widened slightly.

"What?! When?!" He asked, and this is when Temari looked down slightly.

"When we invaded the leaf village." She whispered, and Kankuro dropped his head slightly.

"It's been three years... and no one told me that she was dead." He whispered, clenching his fists.

"Why do you care so much..?" Sakura asked.

"Because we loved Kruno. All three of us did." Temari explained, and Naruto nodded slightly, clenching his fist as well.

"I made a promise to Shikamaru the first day that she went missing, that I would bring her back to him, and I don't go back on my word, believe it!" He said, angrily. "And I'm making a promise to you guys, I'm going to bring Gaara back, no matter what." He said quietly, looking down at his hands slightly.

"Thank you, Naruto." Kankuro said, and he placed his hands on his bandaged stomach. "Maybe you'll be strong enough to do what I couldn't." He said sadly.

"Don't blame yourself, Kankuro. He was an Akastuki member, they are completely able to knock out countries, some by themselves." Sakura said, and that is when Kakashi's hounds ran inside the hospital room and Pakkun walked over to Kakashi.

"What did you find, Pakkun?" He asked, and Pakkun looked at him, sighing softly, he looked at everyone around the room.

"We found the base due to the scent you guys gave us." He said, and Naruto threw his arms up in the air cheering, Sakura's eyes widened, and she smiled. Kakuro and Temari looked at each other, and hugged each other softly.

"But there's something else." Pakkun said, and everyone stopped what they were doing, looking at Pakkun.

"That girl we lost that day." Pakkun said, and Kakashi raised his eyebrow lightly.

"Kruno?" Naruto said, moving closer to Pakkun.

"Yeah, the spunky one. I picked up on her scent when I was around the base. Now, I don't know how old it is. But it smelled fairly fresh." Pakkun said, and Naruto looked at him with widened eyes.

"But, Kruno is dead." Sakura said, and Pakkun shrugged his dog shoulders.

"Her scent was strong, like it was recent. Even if it was her dead body, the scent wouldn't have been that strong." He said, and Naruto smiled slightly up at his sensei.

"Do you know how happy Shikamaru is going to be?!" He exclaimed, but Kakashi shook his head.

"We can't tell Shika. Not yet at least."

"Why not?!" Naruto exclaimed.

"Because, we don't know if she's actually alive Naruto, or where she is." Sakura said, and Naruto sighed heavily.

"We'll bring her back, We'll bring Gaara back. We'll bring them both back no matter what it takes." He said, putting his fist up in the air.

Kruno sighed heavily as she looked over everything around the base. She was fairly bored, until Kisame blue body appeared beside her.

"How you doin' kid?" He asked, wrapping his arm around Kruno's shoulder, and she leaned against him.

"Bored. I hate having to be the one to always watch out for everyone. I want to go on a mission like the last one I went on." She said, smiling about the last mission.

The last mission she had gone on had been with Kisame, because Pein had to send her out with random teams since she was an odd number. But anyways, Kisame and her traveled all the way the village hidden in the rain, and were sent to kill a man, and anyone who got in their way. When they reached his house, Kisame did the job, but a few ninja's came and began to attack the two of them.

This is when Kruno recognized one of the ninja's. It was Yamo. She looked at him with wide, crazy eyes and took off her cloak, leaping up into the air, pushing off of Kisame's shoulder with her cloak high in the air, taking her sword and slamming it into the mans chest. Yamo spit blood up into Kruno's face, and starred into Kruno's eyes. Her eyes were wide, and you could see the bloodlust in her eyes.

She leaned down, and whispered into his ears, dangerously. "Ive waited to do this." She said, pushing the sword down even further. Yamo began to gag on his own blood, and finally, he died. Kruno pulled the sword from the mans chest, and put her cloak back on before they took off back to base.

"You went a little crazy." Kisame said, remembering the day.

"I hated that guy. He was someone who tried to kill me twice." She said, rolling her eyes slightly.

"Well, why don't you go to sleep, I'll finish watching for tonight." He said, and she nodded tiredly, leaning her head in Kisame's lap, closing her eyes and drifting to sleep.
