Just A Normal Day In Paradise

Third Person POV.

"Tobi! Be careful you're going to knock that ov-" Kisame screamed, but it was too late. The vase the clumsy man had ran into fell to the ground with a large thud, shattering along the ground.

"Now look what you did!" Deidara screamed, and Tobi pouted from under his orange mask.

"Tobi didn't mean to! Tobi is a good boy, stop yelling at him!" He yelled at Deidara, and Deidara began to scream even more. Kisame and Itachi watched from the couch, before looking over at each other with a knowing look.

"One." Kisame said.

"Two." Itachi replied.

"Three." They both said, and if on cue a girl with long brown hair came trotting down the hallway, her hair sticking out in multiple directions, wearing only a very long shirt and a pair of shorts. She had red marks on her face, and a scar along her left cheek. She had a dangerous look in her eyes as she looked at Deidara and Tobi.

"Why the fucking fuck are you guys screaming your heads off at eight thirty in the goddamn morning?!" The fifteen year old screamed, looking up at the two men who were a lot taller than her. She stood roughly 5'1 on a good day.

"U-uh.. Deidara-Sempai started it! Tobi is a good boy, don't hit tobi's head today!" Tobi exclaimed, pointing his finger at Deidara, who was looking at Tobi with an opened mouth.

"You little liar! I outta-" He shouted, and went to lunge at Tobi, but was stopped by the girl with the waist long hair.

"It is eight in the morning. I was woken up again. Do you really want to fight and scream with Tobi when I am obviously the more dangerous of us two?" She said coldly, and Deidara sighed heavily, before hanging his head in defeat.

"No, Kruno. I'm sorry, yeah." He muttered, and Kruno used her hand to smack him up side the head, and this caused Kisame to burst out laughing. Deidara had anime tears running down his face, but Kruno just rolled her eyes and groggily made her way into the kitchen to make herself coffee.

"Shouldn't you have more clothes on that that, you fucking slut?" Hidan asked, and Kruno flipped him the finger as she stirred her coffee.

"Shouldn't you have a shirt on you dick sucker?" She said, turning around and taking a drink of her coffee, holding the cup with both hands as the Jashinist looked at her with an evil scowl. They held the glare at each other, before bursting out laughing. Kruno placed her cup of coffee down in a the sink, before walking out into the living room of the housing unit they lived in.

"Kisame!" She shouted, and the blue tinted man looked at the teenager.

"What, Kruno?" He asked, and she smiled.

"Will you please train with me today?" She said sweetly, batting her eyelashes at the overgrown shark. He rolled his eyes slightly, but stood up.

"I'll give you ten minutes to get ready." He said, and the teenager took off down the hallway and into her room. She pulled a tank top like shirt on over her fishnet shirt. She slid on her ninja shoes, after she changed into a pair of black tights. She tied her long hair up into a high pony tail, throwing her sword over her shoulder, before running out to Kisame who was staring at the clock on the wall.

"Three minutes, new record, brat." He said, and she beamed a smile at him, before he walked out of the door, and she bounced out after her.

They arrived at a training ground that was near the base they were at, and Kisame turned to Kruno. "What are we going to practice today, Kisame?" She asked, and he smirked as he pulled his large sword off of his back. Kruno quickly pulled her much smaller sword off of her back as well. At the same time, they took a very similar stance. Kisame nodded at the girl, who gave him the same mocking grin that she had for the past nine years he had known her. Kruno made the first move by quickly moving until she was right in front of Kisame, and using her fist to push him up in the air slightly. Thus began to the two hour training session that would unfold.

Back in Konoha, things seemed to be the same as before she had left. The new hokage Tsunade was ruling over the village, keeping its pride as high and mighty as she could. The children, they ran and played, people shopped, people talked and chatted each other up, making others laugh. It was as if everything was back to normal.

Except for the ninja's that were lucky enough to have known the smiling face of Kruno Inuzuka. The girl who no matter what she did, brought happiness to those around her. The girl who could in a snap of her fingers, make anyone laugh. The girl who loved a boy very much, and got all the love in the world in return.

Shikamaru was currently sitting by the lake that they used to go to together, tossing rocks along the water. Today, would have been their three year anniversary, and to this day Shikamaru has not been able to shake the idea of his beautiful lover being gone, slipping out of his grasps one more time.

He had no idea why she left that day, and he still doesn't. The last time that he saw Kruno was at the arena where the Chunin Exams were taking place before she leaped out of the hole in the wall to chase after Sasuke and Gaara. A ninja that Shikamaru had been fighting when his girlfriend left, noticed that she left and smirked. He looked down at the 'lover boy.' as he called him, before hitting the pressure point in his neck. He transformed into the perfect copy of Shikamaru, and went after Kruno with the team that Kakashi had put together.

Asuma came back that day, with nothing but the headband of Kruno in his left hand, and a cigar in his mouth. When Shikamaru saw the headband, he begged his sensei not to tell him that as was gone again, that he had let her slip out of his fingers once again. But Asuma couldn't lie to him and tell him it was all a prank, so he was forced to tell his beloved student that another one of his students who he was ashamed to say he never spent enough time with, was gone.

For the next year, Tsunade sent out people to go find Kruno, but no one ever did. Kiba and Akamaru looked for the girl they both loved, but never did they pick up on a scent of his sister. It would figure as much, because she was a Inuzuka and she knew how to cover her scent well.

Going into the second year, Tsunade began to send less and less ninja on missions to locate the girl, and she was considered to be dead. They placed a headstone in the cemetery, and held a funeral service with no body, but no one seemed to mind that. Tsume, her mother, broke down and began to sob hysterically, holding onto the headstone and screaming at the sky to bring her baby back. Kiba eventually had to pull her off the head stone, and hold her while they both cried into each other.

Shikamaru wore all black that day, like everyone else, but there was something about this outfit. It was the outfit that he wore the night that they both said 'I love you.' for the first time. The entire funeral service, he didn't cry, he didn't speak, he just stared up at the sky thinking 'maybe she's a cloud now, and she's floating over us.'

Once everyone left, he walked up to the grave and sat down, placing a hand on it gently. This is when he allowed himself to cry. He cried, and cried, and cried. Because he had not cried since that first night that he knew she was gone.

Asuma placed a hand on Shikamaru's shoulder, sitting down beside him. Shikamaru didn't care how weak he looked as he fell on his Sensei, and began to sob against the Jonins' chest. Asuma held his student close, and allowed a few tears to fall down his cheeks as well.

Back in the present, Shikamaru stood up and walked away from the creek, and towards the cemetery, but not before stopping by the shop that Ino worked at. The now Chunin walked inside the shop, and was met with the sad eyes of Ino, because she knew what today was.

"Same as normal?" She asked.

"Hn." He replied, and watched as Ino began to gather roses, lilies, and forget-me-nots. She put them in a bouquet, and as she did every year, she smiled.

"It's on the house, Shika." She said, and Shikamaru nodded his head before walking out of the shop, his head slightly hung as he made his way to the cemetery. He sat down by the all too familiar headstone, and placed the flowers on the on her grave. He placed a hand on the headstone, and gently rubbed the smooth surface of stone, and he whispered quietly.

"Hello baby girl, it's three years today. I miss you more and more as the days pass, but I want you to know that I love you so much, and I'm happy you're in a better place. One day, I'll be able to kiss those lips of yours, and gently push your hair behind your ear even though you hate it. I miss you."

The boy sighed softly, as he leaned down and kissed the stone lightly before he got up, and walked away from the graveyard.

By the end of her training, Kruno was panting heavily. They trained straight through two hours, until Kruno had finally had enough and called it quits. Kisame chuckled and looked down at the girl who had thrown herself on the ground.

"You know, you have to walk home, right?" He asked, and she whined loudly.

"Oh please no." She sat up, and extended her arms to Kisame like a small child.

"You are fifteen years old, Kruno. Use your legs." He said, and she shook her head quickly, still pouting and stretching her arms up to him. The shark growled loudly, but walked over to the fifteen year old who was acting like an over sized child, and lifted her up with one arm. He placed her on his shoulders and carried her all the way back to the base.

When they got there, Kruno was placed on the ground and she walked in the base, noticing how quiet it was. That meant that Deidara was out on a mission.

"Where the tranny?" She asked, and Itachi looked up from the couch.

"To get one of the one-tailed jinchuriki. He took Sasori instead of Tobi, so it will still be loud, but not as loud." He said, and Kruno nodded as Tobi came bounding into the room, happily.

"Tobi wants to cook food! Kruno-San, cook with Tobi!" He said, grabbing the girls hand and pulling her into the kitchen. It took about ten minutes before the rest of the Akastuki came into the kitchen, and saw Kruno covered in flour, and Tobi was looking very nervously at Kruno. She just stared at Tobi, and she didn't smile.

She didn't laugh.

She cracked the fuck up.

But honestly, this was just another day in paradise.
