I stared at the boat, eye twitching. Everyone was looking at me expectantly. I stood on shore, frozen in fear. Why you ask? Well it all started back when Naruto and I were kids.

~Flashback~

I had just beaten up the bullies bothering Naruto, when they cornered me in the woods. They were pissed off at me and threw me in the river. I never learned to swim so I clung to the rock they stood on.

It was fall so the water was freezing cold. I struggled against the current as it tried to bring me to the bottom of the steep river. I held onto the rock for dear life. My clothes were wet and felt like weights on me.

One of the boys found a long stick and used it to push my head under and keep it there. I moved to the side and went back up, clinging to the rock. But they just kept on using it to keep me under. Finally my grip on the rock loosened and the current pulled me away.

I screamed as I struggled to stay above the raging waters. I was pulled under and couldn't swim up. So naturally I couldn't hold my breath longer.

Then I was covered in cold darkness. When I woke up I was at the end of the river where it nears the academy. Naruto hovered over me, soaking wet. Tears were in his eyes. "Nar.  . . u. . . .to?" I asked. More tears welled in his eyes and he picked me up and cradled me to him.

~End of flashback~

I wasn't breathing and my heart had stopped beating. He had found me in the river and dove after me. So you see where I have a little issue with large bodies of water.

As if seeing the flash back with me, Naruto got out, put me on his back, and then brought me into the boat before setting me down behind him, next to Sasuke.

They kept on sending us curious glances, but we ignored them. What? It was a traumatic experience for us!

So then we were on our way.

It's so misty. A bridge came into view. It's huge! I admired it, my eyes sparkling, while Naruto was getting scolded for being loud.

So then Kakashi asked for Tazuna to tell us the truth.

We all waited on his explanation. "The one who seeks my life is a very short man who casts a long and deadly shadow."

So . . . a guy with a temper as short as him. I snickered at my own joke. "You know him. At least I'm sure you've heard his name before. He is one of the wealthiest men in the world. The shipping magnet Gato."

Gato? "You mean Gato of Gato Transport?" I asked. Sakura looked at me. "You know him." I rolled my eyes. "Not personally he's just a rich guy who ships in goods from all around the world. He's a business leader."

"Gato is a very powerful tycoon from a famous company, that's true. But below the surface, with the same ruthless methods he uses to take over businesses, he sells drugs and contrabands using gangs and ninjas."

So he's a drug lord. Alright. And since Tazuna is a bridge builder he's probably blocking him.

I can see it. "It was one year ago when Gato first set his sight on the Land of Waves. He came to our island and used his vast wealth to take total control of our transport and shipping. Anyone who tried to stand in his way simply disappears."

I zoned out in the rest. I understood the situation more or less. Naruto still seemed confused so I helped him.

I took out pieces of paper and a pen and started drawing. "Gato bad." I stated. I pointed to the chibi picture of him with horns. I then showed him the next chibi drawing of Tazuna. "Tazuna good." He had a halo. The next one was of chibi devil Gato standing over a cry baby Tazuna angel. "Gato wants to hurt Tazuna." The last was of a chibi Naruto stepping on a defeated chibi devil Gato. "We fight bad." Then for effective measure, I drew one of a bowl of ramen. "We eat ramen as reward."

Naruto's face lit up. "Alright! We'll take him down easily! Hey I'm not stupid!" Naruto shouted. I laughed nervously and scratched the back of my head.

I high fived a smirking Sasuke and gave a victory sign to Kakashi and Sakura.

And they can't afford elite ninjas, so he lied about the ranking. Then he tried to make us feel bad about it. "But don't feel bad about that. My sweet little girl and grandson we'll be upset though. He'll cry 'Granddad! I want my granddad!' Oh and my daughter will condemn the ninja of the hidden leaves, denouncing and blaming you for abandoning her father and living her life in sorrow. Oh well. It's not your fault forget it."

"Okay!" I chirped. He fell.

"You'd let my family fall to pieces?!" He asked. I looked at the sky, finger on cheek. "Yep! I sure would! Because it's all Gato's fault, and yours for not paying for elite ninjas. You sealed you own fate. Well rest in peace old man."

Doom surrounded him and he looked at Kakashi. "We'll keep guarding you." Kakashi said. Relief flooded his face before glaring at me. I shrugged. "If it were up to me I'd let you die." I stated.

"You have no heart!" Tazuna shouted.

~

We were approaching the shore much to my relief. I was nervous on the water. I felt like I was going to die.

When we entered through a cave we exited to see a mist free place. Water was everywhere and trees were sprouted in and stuck above the water. It's so beautiful.

I moved closer to the edge to see and I almost fell in. Luckily someone grabbed my arm and brought me to them. I looked up to see Sasuke. I smiled at him, grateful he had saved me.

Then we kept on rowing.

When we reached the docks everyone got out but me. Sasuke and Naruto then both offered their hands. They shot each other a glare for having the same thoughts. So I gratefully took both and they pulled me up easily.

Then the man who rowed us left. So we continued on walking to take Tazuna home.

I sniffed the air and frowned. "What's wrong?" Kakashi asked. I scrunched my nose and sniffed the air again. "I smell two different chakras. One smells powerful and like octopus balls. The other is also powerful but smells like flowers."

He stared at me. "Miyu, what's with you and smelling chakra?" I shrugged before frowning. "I don't know. Ever since I was little I could see, and feel the chakra of people and animals. The smelling just started."

He seemed thoughtful for a bit.

I looked ahead to see Naruto and Sasuke trying to walk ahead of the other. My eye twitched. Just when I thought they were getting along.

Well, as along as Sasuke and Naruto can get. Naruto ran ahead and started throwing kunai in all different directions. I took this time of distraction to put a seal on Tazuna. So I could flash to him. I put one on all my teammates earlier on. So putting on him only seemed right.

My brother is an idiot.

Then the smell of octopus balls wafted into my nose. That chakra! I turned to the area it was coming from and Naruto also threw a kunai. The smell of flowers was also there.

There is somebody there. Two people by the smell of it. Kakashi and I investigated while Sakura was yelling at Naruto.

It was a white rabbit. "Kakashi?" He nodded. "Yes, I know." I nodded. Good. The rabbit smelled like the chakra that smells like flowers.

So is it a transformation jutsu? Or was it created by the person? Then Sakura started yelling at Naruto once she saw the rabbit.

Naruto ran to the rabbit, picked it up, hugged it, and started apologizing. I sweat dropped at him. Oh Naruto, you're an idiot.

Although at least he's got the apologizing right. That's not the point here though. That rabbit is only white during winter.

So someone is here. I felt the hostile of the chakra and wind come closer. "Look out!" Kakashi yelled. While he brought Tazuna down, I tackled my teammates to the ground. A giant sword was thrown our way and soared above our heads before lodging into a tree.

A man landed on it as well. Whoa! That's Zabuza Momochi! I've seen him in the Bingo book! "Zabuza . . . Momochi." I said in awe.

Zabuza looked at me and raised an eyebrow before looking back at Kakashi. He radiates danger.

Kakashi confirmed my revelation. Naruto was about to run after him but I grabbed the back of his jacket and threw him back on the ground. "Miyu? What was that for?"

"Naruto, he's way out of our leagues. Not even our Copycat Sensei can go against him and win without injury."

Kakashi looked back at me in surprise. I chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of my head. "I may have read your file. What? You're responsible for my brother and mines life. I'm going to do a background check."

He looked back at Zabuza but I knew he was going to scold me. Kakashi went to move his headband. I already knew what was there, but it still surprised me.

"Kakashi of the Sharingan eye. Did I get that right?" Zabuza's deep voice asked. Sasuke's eyes widened and he looked at Kakashi at the word Sharingan. "It's too bad huh? But you'll have to hand over the old man."

"Now quick! Manji formation!" Kakashi yelled. He lifted his headband and opened his Sharingan eye. Whoa. I haven't seen a Sharingan since Itachi Uchiha's.

Itachi . . ? Who's Itachi? Why did I know he was real and had a Sharingan? My eyebrows furrowed. I have no clue what I just thought.

So Zabuza had a real shine to Kakashi. And Naruto didn't know what it was. So Sasuke went to explain what it was. Then Zabuza went to add more about it.

Mist started forming around us and it was hard to see my team. Then Zabuza stated to get ready. Naruto and Sakura cover Tazuna's sides while Sasuke covered the front. I was supposed to cover the back. But I had a bad feeling.

So I channeled chakra into my fists and feet before bringing out my special kunai with the seal on it. I then erased my presence completely and became a ghost.

Not really, but my presence, chakra, aura, and vibe vanished. Kakashi and Zabuza tensed when I did that.

Zabuza disappeared and reappeared on a nearby lake. I could see him building up chakra. Except his chakra isn't blue. It looks like mist!

How? And why? "Ninja Art: Hidden Mist Jutsu!" Ah crap. I read about this in the Bingo book. Zabuza then disappeared and moved away from us.

This is his silent killing technique. And since it's a ninja art it can't be copied completely. The mist around us kept on getting thicker and thicker.

Soon enough, we couldn't see Kakashi. I felt Zabuza's presence. Near us. But it wasn't him. I think it's a water clone.

His voice echoed throughout the air as he listed organs, where if stabbed, we would surely die. It's creeping me out. But I have to protect Naruto and my team.

I wasn't afraid, not in the least. Suddenly blue chakra cleared the mist a bit. And it originated from Kakashi.

I smiled. Nice move. I noticed Sasuke shaking. I carefully grabbed his hand. His head snapped to me in fear but softened when he saw me. I smiled at him and gave his hand a reassuring squeeze. I stepped closer to him and held his hand. His shaking stopped and he tightened his grip on my hand.

Naruto, Sakura, and Tazuna didn't seem to notice us, so that's a plus. If Sakura ever saw me holding his hand I think she'd kill me.

We waited a bit. Suddenly Zabuza appeared behind us but in front of Tazuna. It was just a clone though. He went to attack but I turned fast.

Here goes nothing. "HAAAH!" I punched straight through his chest. Blood covered my arm as I stabbed my hand through his chest. But it quickly turned to water and I went on high alert.

"Oh? You have a strong punch little girl." Zabuza said. His clone turned into water and disappeared. I sniffed to find him, but his clones are messing with me.

I can't tell. Then another clone appeared behind me. I pushed my friends and Tazuna down as the clone punched me, sending me flying back and into the covering of the mist.

"MIYU!" Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi screamed. I hit the ground and rolled a couple times. Damn. I'm more of a taijutsu type, not a ninjutsu type like Kakashi. And I'm not as good as sword fighting like Zabuza.

But if I could get one hit, then victory is mine. The water clone appeared in front of me and swings its sword. I ducked under it and punched it below its chin, tearing off half the face and it turning into water.

I sighed in relief. Alright. As long as I can get one hit the clones are no problem. But I could smell more clones.

I could hear fighting behind me. So I ran in that direction. I saw a Zabuza about to attack Kakashi from behind as he had a clone in front of him.

I jumped up and appeared in the sky above before landing on the clone behind him and destroying him immediately. The earth beneath cave a bit at the amount of strength I used. "Miyu!" Naruto yelled in relief.

I turned to my friends and gave a sign of victory. I turned to Kakashi who smiled before ruffling my hair. "Good job Miyu. Now go back to formation. The battle isn't even close to over."

I nodded and ran back to my friends and went back to guarding. Zabuza is still out there. And he's far more powerful than his clones. This is going to be a close one.
