Lee was struggling. I knew it. Whatever they did to him is kicking his butt. Lee bent over and threw up. "Lee what's wrong?!" Sakura asked worriedly.

I noticed some blood coming from his ear. He held his ear as he grunted in pain. "Oh I forgot to mention this little gadget I wear. You might be able to dodge my blows, but you can't get away from it."

What? Dosu laughed. "I don't need to strike you with my fists. I can hit you with the power of sound." So that's it. I snorted and Zaku glared at me. "So you guys are too lazy to actually fight and rely on such instruments? Pathetic!"

While I got Zaku's and the girl's full attention, Dosu straight up ignored me. "What makes it possible for the ear to hear things? What is sound really?"

"Vibrations." Sakura and I answered simultaneously. "Give the little ladies a prize. Yes, the vibrations of molecules in the air create a sound wave. These vibrations are collected by the ear. Then directed through the outer ear canal to the ear drum. The rest they say is anatomy."

Of course. "What interest me are the organs of your inner ear. The ones that control your sense of balance, your ability to move."

Dosu laughed. That's a dirty trick. Real fighting should only involve your fists and legs. Not some cheap trick. But we are ninja, and we use any tool we can to win.

"Feeling a little dizzy, nauseous? That right, best that you don't even try to stand up for a while." Dosu ended.

But Zaku just continued. "You see buddy that old fashioned taijutsu stuff won't work against us. Not that you're not pretty good at it, but what's the point? Compared to our jutsu, that stuff is yesterday's news." I snorted and Zaku glared at me. "Yeah, until I break every bone in your body." I snapped.

He looked at me in amusement. "Well I'd like to see you try." I tried to stand but fell back down. Damn. I still can't fight yet. Zaku just laughed.

I swear if I heal in time I'll destroy him. "See I can manipulate ultrasonic waves and air pressure. I can do things you've never even dreamed of."

Damn those sound ninja. "I can obliterate boulders or make the ground itself as soft as a feather cushion. Face it little man, you're up against the jutsu of the future." He showed us the palms of his hands where the holes are and I noticed air coming out.

I grit my teeth. Things aren't looking so good for us. Not at all. "Now then little girls, it's your turn!" Dosu ran at us. Out of sheer instinct I stood in front of Sakura, kunai in hand.

Ah crap. "No!" Lee shouted. I threw the kunai at him but it bounced off the metal thing. So I channeled chakra into my fists and feet.

However before he got to us Lee ran at us. You moron! "No! Leaf Hurricane-ah!" He froze in his kick. Damn it all to hell they messed with him pretty bad.

Dosu jumped over his leg and chuckled. "Not as effective as it was before is it." Why that lousy- ow! I swatted my neck where the mark burned. Damn, it still hurts. But for some reason I feel like I have to stay calm.

"Still it's impressive you can move at all. We'll have to do something about that!" It looked like he was going to punch Lee. But I bet he's going to mess with his ear some more. And I was right. I could see it actually and heard a faint screeching.

"You hear that? This device amplifies the vibrations of the impact transforming them into a wave of sound."

"Lee no." Sakura said. I'm with her. Lee has a pure heart and he doesn't deserve this. "The sound wave I can channel with my chakra, focusing all its energy on a target I desire."

Wait, is see it! Because he's channeling it with chakra I can see it moving directly into Lee's ear. "Damn it leave him alone! Your business is with us, not him you cowards!" I shouted.

"STOP IT!" Sakura screamed. And they did. Lee fell to the ground, defeated. "Alright little man, time to end it."

Sakura stood fast with kunai's. "That's what you think!" She threw the kunai's at Dosu but he just blocked it with the metal thing. "Ah, I almost had forgotten you two."

Ah shit. I froze and sniffed the air before looking at the bushes. Choji? And Shikamaru and Ino. I shook my head and mouthed; 'run away' to them. But they didn't move. What are they thinking?

I stood, well tried, but fell. The mark made me weak and I can't quite stand yet. Damn it!

I tried standing again, but it failed and I fell again. "Damn it!" I cursed. Why? Why won't you stand up?! Aren't you supposed to protect them?! What good is it if I can't even protect those closest to me?! My body refused to move.

Sakura threw some shuriken. "Catch these!" She shouted. I watched as Zaku ran in front and blew them right back.

Then the girl appeared behind Sakura and grabbed her hair. "Let her go!" I was about to try to get up, but something tugged my low pig tail and threw me back a ways. Zaku.

"My, my, what soft and shiny hair. But you know what, if you spent a little less time shampooing and a little more time practicing your jutsu, you might not be in this fix." She shook Sakura's head as she kept a firm grip on her hair.

Maybe if I can divert her attention to me . . . "Are you jealous your ratty, ugly, split end hair isn't as gorgeous as hers? Seriously, it looked like an opossum died on top of your head and you use it for hair. Some girl you are."

"What did you just say?!" She shouted. She was about to come at me but Zaku chuckled. "She can't stand Kin. She just wants you to attack her instead of her little friend. Don't pay attention to her."

Damn him! It almost worked too! "Hey Zaku, I know what would be fun. Let's make miss beauty queen watch as you finish off that Sasuke guy."

I snorted. "Your jealousy is showing you hag!" She glared at me with so much hate. I smirked. "It's obvious you're jealous that Sakura is a thousand times prettier than your wrinkly, old, saggy self!" Kin shook with rage.

"Why you!"

"Kin! Stop listening to her!" Dosu shouted. One more remark should do it. Just as I was about to shout out another one Dosu kicked me, knocking the air out of me.

"Don't even." Kin said as she pulled a struggling Sakura closer

I noticed Sakura crying. Why? No. Don't cry. Tears are not good. Sakura. "Okay, let's do this." Zaku headed towards the guys.

"NO!" I stood much to my bodies protest and tried to run his way. However Dosu punched me back down. No. Sasuke, Naruto.

I watched as Sakura pulled out a kunai. What is she thinking?! She can't beat them! "Come on. It's pointless that won't work on me." Kin said.

Sakura held it tightly. Then she turned her head and I gaped. Her light green eyes held something I've never seen in them before. Determination, strength, and control. "It's not meant for you."

"What the?!" Kin sounded surprised. And I watched. Everything became slow as Sakura brought the kunai just below Kin's hand. Is she. . ?

She did. She pulled the kunai across, cutting away her hair that Kin still had a hold on off. Her headband slipped off at the sudden loss of hair.

What did she do? For some reason I got chills. Sakura . . . she's different. I saw her slowly stand. Her whole aura was different. It's almost as if she's a different person. She's . . . blossomed.

A smile crept onto my face as I watched in admiration. Oh Sakura . . . you are a strong, kind, brave shinobi. I am proud to be your teammate, and friend.

"Kin, finish her!" Zaku shouted in frustration. Kin pulled out some senbon. But Sakura was already performing the familiar hand signs. So I wasn't surprised when Kin stabbed her, she turned into a log.

I grinned. That a girl. "A Substitution Jutsu?!" Kin shouted in surprise. But Zaku knew. He had his hands ready as he searched for Sakura.

Sakura ran at Zaku, kunai in hand and she threw them. "Pathetic! Thanks for the present. Hope you don't mind if I return it! Slicing Sound Waves!" Air shot from his hands and Sakura performed the same hand signs.

When the kunai hit she turned into another log. "What a surprise. Okay where are you now." We looked up as Sakura descended from the sky downward towards Zaku. But when he spotted her she immediately did the hand signs.

"You really want to play this? Because I got news for you, I'm not falling for it." He reached into his pouch and pulled out some of his own kunai. "Alright, if you insist." He threw them at her.

She covered her body with her limbs as they hit her. Zaku started looking for her some more. Stupid. Substitutions don't bleed or defend themselves.

I smirked at his shocked face when a drop of her blood hit his face. She came down towards him, kunai at the ready.

"No. this time it's really her!" She went to stab. He moved his arm as a shield for the kunai and he fell, Sakura with him. Then she bit his other arm and refused to let go.

Nice Sakura. Pride welled in my chest for her.

"What are you, crazy or something?! Get off of me!" Zaku started hitting her head, trying to get her to release him.

But Sakura never let go. She kept a firm bite on him. Okay Miyu, she needs you! Get up! I said get up now! You'll die before Sakura, Naruto, or Sasuke! You will die before any of them! "Somebody get this crazy girl off of me!" Zaku continued to hit her head.

And with each hit rage boiled inside me. Miyuna, get up! I said get up now!

I slowly stood and ignored my bodies protest. "Get her off!" Blood started oozing out of her head. I started taking some steps towards her.

They were slow, but Dosu was too busy watching to pay attention. "Leave her alone." Dosu and Kin looked at me in shock.

The fire was lit back in my eyes. These people are my friends. They are some of the firsts to bring me out of my own reclusive world. I love them.

I won't let them be treated this way. I walked closer. He managed to punch her off. And that's when my body moved. "I said leave her alone!" I appeared in front of Zaku and punched him straight through three trees.

I began panting at the sudden movement in my body. He stood up, glaring at me with so much fury. "Why you brat."

I continued panting. "I won't let you hurt them anymore. If you want to touch any of my friends you'll have to kill me first!" I shouted.

He smirked even though blood dripped from his head from the impact. "That can be arranged." He walked closer and I spread my arms out wide to cover Sakura as much as I could. "Miyu no!" Sakura cried out.

I smiled sadly as Zaku came closer. "I'm sorry Sakura. But I can't let you get anymore hurt then you are. After all, you're my friend right? You, Sasuke, Kakashi, Iruka, Gramps, even Choji and Konohamaru. You're all my friends."

"I use to think, that everyone in this world other than Naruto was trash, scum, liars, and traitors. I hated everyone and everything. But since I've been on this team, you all taught me that there may be evil in this world, but there is also good. You made me laugh, angry, sad, happy, and smile. You guys forced open the door to my heart and barged in uninvited. And I'm glad you did."

I close my eyes momentarily before opening my eyes. "Go on! Do your worst!" I shouted at Zaku. He held his hands up.

"So long kid!" Zaku shouted. But my vision of him cut off as I stared at three familiar backs. I blinked in surprise.

What are they doing? "So what's this the second string?" Zak asked in amusement. "Ino." Sakura whispered in shock.

"Surprised? I swore I'd never let you show me up didn't I?" Ino merely replied.
