"Ino, but why?" Sakura asked. Ino smirked. "I'm tired of you showing off in front of Sasuke and trying to get all of the credit." Liar. A sly smile made its way on my face. She wanted to save Sakura. After all, they used to be the best of friends.

"Are you two crazy, what are we doing here?! These guys are bad news man!" Choji was flipping out.

"Don't look at me, it was Ino's idea. But what are we supposed to do? Just sit back and let a girl do all the fighting?!"

Ino laughed a bit nervously. "Sorry for dragging you guys both into this, but we are a three man squad right? All for one and one for all!"

Shikamaru smiled a bit and looked forward. "Yeah. What's meant to happen will." Hm. Honorable I guess. "This aint teamwork! I call this suicide! Let me out of here! Please let go!"

Choji tried to run off but Shikamaru had a firm grip on his scarf. "Stop wiggling. You're getting on my nerves!" Shikamaru said in his usual, 'I'm so bored but annoyed at the same time' tone.

Zaku chuckled. "Better a live sheep then a dead lion, right fatso?" Choji stopped trying to run away immediately and I sweat dropped. Here we go again. I've only seen it once, but you should never call Choji fat. Never.

"Did I just hear that right? What did that guy just say?" Choji asked. Uh-oh. "You want to try saying that again?" Choji challenged.

Hm, I wonder what'll happen. "I said you're smart to get out while you still can, fatty." Wrong answer Zaku. Choji was still and silent for a while. "WHO ARE YOU CALLING FAT?! I'M JUST A LITTLE CHUBBY OKAY?! ARRR! CHUBBY FOREVER!"

I could see his chakra spinning like mad around him. Oh? "That does it. Now this is personal. It's a fight to the death between leaf and sound!" I could literally see the fire in his eyes.

"Good job. Thanks' a lot. Now we got to live with it." Shikamaru said. "Don't worry, it won't be for long."

I fell to my knees. "Miyu!" Sakura rushed over to me. My neck is throbbing. My body is overheated and so worn out. Pain filled me more than anything. Pain and heat.

Sakura placed her hand on my forehead. "You have a fever." She whispered. I grunted in pain as Sakura tried to hold me up. "Sakura. Your teammates are down. Look after them." Sakura smiled and nodded.

She then put my arm around her shoulder and stood, bringing me with her and walked away from the scene.

"Okay team Ino, let's show them who's boss." Ino said. "Got it!" The boys said.

"Formation, Ino-"

"Shika-"

"Cho!" They said their own names.

"Okay, take it away Choji!" Ino said. Choji stood and did a hand sign. "My pleasure! Expansion Jutsu!" Choji became bigger as his chakra increased. He almost looked like a ball. "Followed by Leaf Style: Taijutsu!" He brought his limbs and head in to really look like a ball and chakra poured from the holes.

What is this? "Human Boulder Jutsu!" He then rolled at high speeds towards Zaku. Well at least it's self-explanatory. I guess.

"You've got to be kidding. Maybe I'm supposed to laugh myself to death. Slicing Sound Wave!" Zaku held his hands out as the sound waved clashed with Choji, but he wasn't ricocheting back. Zaku was struggling and tried adding more air pressure, but Choji jumped the air stream.

Choji headed straight for a defenseless Zaku. Ha! "Zaku!" Mummy man ran over to Zaku to help. "Ninja Art: Shadow Possession Jutsu!" Shikamaru muttered.

I watched as his shadow touched Zaku and made him freeze. Whoa. That's actually pretty cool. "What's happening?" Dosu asked.

"Just me and my shadow. Haha." Shikamaru laughed at the end.

Zaku jumped away just as Choji destroyed the spot he was just in. Awe man. I was kind of hoping he'd die.

I giggled as Shikamaru made Dosu do a funny pose. "What is it?! Why are you just standing there like that?!" Kin asked. But she then noticed Shikamaru in the same position.

"It's some kind of paralysis jutsu." Dosu grunted out. I frowned. "Didn't you listen to Shikamaru? He said Shadow Possession you moron." I grumbled but laughed as Shikamaru made him do more funny poses.

"Ino, I'll leave the girl to you." Shikamaru stated. Ino smirked and stood next to him. "Okay, you got it. Just take care of my body while I'm gone."

What is she talking about? I watched as she made a hand sign. "Sure." Shikamaru said nonchalantly. "Ninja Art: Mind Transfer Jutsu!" Ino said. Her body went limp and Shikamaru caught her.

Did she just . . .

Choji rolled back towards Zaku who barely jumped away in time. "Enough of this. Kin!" Zaku shouted. I looked at the girl who did nothing but stand there.

What's wrong with you?!" Dosu asked. Kin just stood there before a sly smile came to her lips. She then placed a kunai to her neck. "Party's over fella's."

The two men were in shock, so is she Ino? "Take it easy. One false move from either of you and your teammate here gets it in the neck."

Well how about that. Since they all are from different clans they have special jutsu's. And they use that to work together in a team formation. Not bad, not bad at all.

"You don't want that, so here's what you do, just drop the scroll and walk away. When you're far enough away that I can't sense your chakra's I'll let her go."

Even though it's smart, I don't like the looks the guys made. Ah crap. "Hey Choji!" Ino/Kin shouted. "Coming!" He rushed to her, still in ball formation.

Zaku held a hand towards Ino/Kin and fired one of his Sound Waves. Luckily Choji made it in time to block most of it.

However he bounced away and Ino/Kin hit a tree. Her real body had blood drip from her lip. So anything that happens to Kin while Ino's in it happens to her.

Choji was back to normal size and dizzy. "I-I don't understand you guys. What kind of monster attacks their own teammates?" Ino/Kin asked.

"I guess monsters like us." Zaku said.

"You see, we don't play this game by your rules. It's not the scrolls we're after, or even passing this test."

"What then?" Ino/Kin asked. "Sasuke." I froze. They've been after him this entire time. And now that I think about it, Orochimaru mentioned his sound ninja were coming after him.

I grit my teeth and stepped away from Sakura. "Miyu wait!"

I walked towards them. "Ino, get out of her body." I said as I walked past Shikamaru and Ino's body.

"Miyuna you're injured." Shikamaru warned. I merely continued my walking. Towards Zaku. He smirked at me. "You can still stand? Impressive. But I'll kill you right now!" He stuck his hands towards me and shot the sound wave.

I stood there, allowing the attack to hit me. But I didn't move an inch. "What?!" Once the Sound Wave was gone my body was merely scratched a bit. I took out my special kunai and threw it at his feet before Flash Stepping in front of him.

I then punched him hard. "AHG!" He flew back. "That was for Lee!" I managed to put the seal on him when I punched him so I Flash Stepped behind him and kicked him in the back, flinging him forwards. "That was for Sakura!"

I Flash Stepped In front of him and punched him under his chin, sending him flying up. "That's for trying to attack my unconscious teammates!"

I Flash Stepped above him in the air and punched him down. He hurled down and broke through the earth because of the strength I used. "That was for Choji, Shikamaru, and Ino! And this!"

I allowed gravity to bring me down and poured immense chakra into my feet. "Is because you piss me off!" I landed on his chest. He coughed up blood as he created a bigger dent in the earth.

I straddled him as I panted heavily. That took a lot. I jumped up as Dosu tried to attack me. He then lunged forward with the metal thing. I cut off everything to my ear.

He waited for me to fall but I merely punched him away. No sound could be heard to me. I could tell he was shocked and saying something, but because of the bandages, I couldn't tell. So I put back my ear together so I could hear.

I smirked. "I cut off the organs in my ear to prevent hearing or feeling the sound and vibrations. Mind you, I can cut off those at any time. You see I don't need to hear to kick your ass."

He glared at me and I put my fists up. I felt his presence and moved just as Zaku tried to punch me. I then latched myself to his arm and maneuvered my body around him. Zaku fell to his knees and I sat on his back as I held his arm.

I had one hand below his wrist and the other below his elbow. "If I add just the right amount of pressure I can shatter every bone in this arm. Like this."

I applied the necessary pressure and Zaku screamed in pain as his bones in his left arm shattered. Dosu appeared in front of me and went to kick me away. I bent backwards and flipped away. As I did that I kicked him under his chin sending him flying up.

But that was it for me. I fell to my knees. I tried to move, but my body had shut down. I couldn't even lift a finger. Kin grabbed my hair and pulled my head up as she put some senbon to my neck. "You bitch."

I sighed. Well, this is it. I overexerted myself and now I'm paying the price. "MIYU!" Sakura screamed.

Sorry Sakura. This is the extent of my abilities. "You're just from a second rate village." Dosu said.

"Huh. That's pretty tough talk. I guess that makes your village third rate. I wonder if any of you amateurs are ready to take on the real thing."

Well Dosu and Kin didn't like that. I could see Zaku standing, holding his left arm as it dangled by his side. They weren't happy at all.

It was Lee's team. The Hyuga and the girl. Kin still had a grip on my hair, but it was lose. What is with this girl and hair?

"Lee!" The girl said worriedly. The Hyuga followed her sight to him. "You blew it. It looks to me like somebody used out teammate as a punching bag. No one does that and gets away with it!" He activated his Byakugan. The thing that makes the Hyuga's famous.

"No more playing around Ten-Ten. Full power!" The Hyuga stopped and his eyes returned to normal. Why? He was going to attack right?

But I soon learned why. The girl released my hair and I turned to see her being held by her throat by Sasuke.

Half of his body was covered in weird markings as he held Kin by her throat. "You. You did this to Miyu?" he asked dangerously. I could see purple chakra covering and swirling around him.

"Sasuke you're awake!" Sakura cheered. But her eyes widened in fright. Sasuke squeezed the girl's throat before throwing her effortlessly away. "No. you're far too weak. Miyu, who did this to you and Sakura."

I just stared at him in shock. His Sharingan was activated as well. This isn't really Sasuke . . . right? "Sasuke?" I asked. He looked over to me. "Sasuke, what's happened to you?" Sakura asked.

"Don't worry, I'm alright. It's only the power flowing through me. In fact I've never felt better. He gave me this gift. He made me understand what I am. I am an avenger. To follow my path I must have power, at any price. Even if it means being consumed by evil."

No way. Sasuke. "Sas-uke." My voice came out hoarse. He looked my way. "Miyu, who did this to you? Who did this to you and Sakura?"

I blinked before glancing at Zaku. He smirked. "That'd be me." Sasuke immediately turned his gaze to him.

I noticed Shikamaru and the others retreating. Sasuke stared at Zaku in anger and the marks started glowing red before spreading to the other half of his face. What's happening to him? Sasuke?

"Dosu, what's wrong you're not getting cold feet are you? I'm going to kill that blonde girl for shattering my left arm. And I'll take Sasuke with her!" Zaku shouted. He did a one handed hand sign. "No! Zaku you don't understand!" Dosu tried to warn him.

Zaku held out his hands. He used his working arm as a stance to hold his other hand up so both were facing Sasuke and me.

"Super Sonic Slicing Wave!" Giant Sound Waves went toward us. I felt Sasuke scoop me up and then everything was a blur. Suddenly we were behind Zaku.

"Heh. What do you know? Blew them all away." Zaku panted out. "Not quite." Sasuke gently set me down. He then smacked Zaku towards Dosu with one hand.

Whoa. He was so fast. Sasuke performed the familiar hand signs. "Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!" They went for Zaku.

He put his hands out to blow it away, and he did. The fire that is. But shuriken were embedded in the flames.

They grazed Zaku and Sasuke ran so fast he just appeared behind Zaku. He grabbed both arms and put one foot on his back as he tugged at the shattered and normal arm. Sasuke smirked sadistically. His chakra was fierce. Darker. This isn't the Sasuke I know.

"You seem to be pretty proud of these arms of yours. You must be very attached to them." He then pulled his arms and pushed down on his back. "No!" Zaku begged.

A sickening snap sounded. Zaku screamed in pain. "Miyu, you need to stop Sasuke!" Sakura shouted. I looked over to her. "Why me?" I asked.

"Because, he likes you! He'll listen to you! Please stop him!" She begged. Sasuke let go of Zaku and left him on the ground, screaming in pain.

Then he looked at Dosu. "It looks like you're the only one left. I hope you make things more interesting than your friend did." He then walked towards Dosu, who was frozen in fear.

The way he spoke . . . that's not Sasuke at all. "Miyu!" Sakura pleaded. I couldn't feel my body, but I managed to get up and jog in front of him. I placed my hands on his chest and dug my feet to the ground. But Sasuke continued to walk, pushing me along.

"Sasuke, they're beat! It's okay! Stop! I said stop!" He ignored me and continued. "I said STOP!" I moved my arms a bit and hugged him. He stopped as I buried my face in his chest. I looked up at him. "Please stop." I whispered.

His hard and frightful look melted and softened. Slowly the marks started retreated back to the mark on his neck.

He fell to his knees, me along with him as I continued to hug him. Slowly, he wrapped his arms around me and I smiled into his chest. He's alright.

He was panting a bit. "You're strong, Sasuke." I loosened my grip and turned my head to see Dosu hold up an Earth Scroll.

"Too strong. We can't hope to defeat you the way you are now. We'll strike a deal. I give you this scroll and you let us go."

What? He picked up his teammates and spoke briefly about how they won't run or hide next time we meet.

But I froze as my soul throbbed. And I screamed as the most excruciating pain filled me. And then I blacked out.

Third Person's POV

Miyu screamed in Sasuke's arms and he looked down at her in alarm. Her curse mark was glowing red and marking started stretching across her body. But these markings looked like crescent moons.

Dosu fell as she started glowing. He and his teammates turned the same glowing green as she was. She continued to scream until the glowing stopped. Then slowly her marks also receded. Her blue eyes open wide, but held no emotion, no life. And then they closed.

Dosu groggily stood. He felt drained in every aspect. He looked at the Miyuna before jumping away.

Sasuke held Miyu and stared at her neck where the mark was. It had stopped glowing and he stared at it for a while, then at her face. While Dosu ran he questioned himself on Orochimaru's reasons. He understood Sasuke, but not the girl. He'd have to keep an eye on her.

Miyuna's POV

I opened my eyes to hear Dosu telling Sakura he doesn't know. "Hey you guys okay?!" Choji asked. "Ino, you check on Lee. We'll check the kid!" Shikamaru ordered. "Right!" Ino responded.

I was awake when the curse mark did something. It did something I had no clue it could do. For some reason, I knew their attacks. And I knew how to perform them. I knew how to improve them. I'm so confused. Why did my mark activate?

It was then I noticed I was staring into onyx colored eyes. I blinked. "Sasuke?" I questioned. Relief filled his face and he held me closer to him.

I smiled. He then held his hand out. "Miyu, do you feel the power?" he asked. I glanced at his face. He looked at his hand then to me. I nodded. "I'm scared Sasuke." And I was.

I was able to glance into their mind, their body, their chakra and analyze everything about them. Their story, childhood, training, limits, jutsu's, and fears. It was scary. I didn't like being able to do that. I was scared of myself.

He held me closer to him. "It's alright. We'll be alright, I promise." I blinked and gripped onto his shirt. I hope he's right. I've never felt this way about myself.

I looked at my own hand before looking back at Sasuke. "What are we now?"
