Naruto and Neji stood in front of each other for a while until Neji ran and hit one of Naruto's chakra points on his chest. I bit my lip and watched.
Naruto was flung back. "Proctor, it's over. Hmpf. You're a failure." No, he's not. Naruto never gives up. He's an Uzumaki. And Uzumaki's never give up. Right big bro?
Neji turned and started to walk. "W-wait." I smiled lightly as Neji stopped and turned to my beat up brother. Naruto stood, wobbly, but stood none the less. "Don't walk away from me. I'm not done yet. I don't quit, and I don't go back on my word. That's my ninja way."
I smiled more and closed my eyes. I knew his pools of blue held nothing but determination.
And I knew it enraged Neji. It was evident. Neji scoffs at it, remembering it from Hinata. Neji spoke some more about destiny. And if anything, I feel pity for him. He feels trapped. Angry.
His past consumes him.
How dare he though?! He's not the only one branded by something he has no control over. He's whining like the ignorant child he is. Always complaining, always thinking he has it worse. "Oh yeah, I know what's that like. So what? Who cares?"
I grinned at Naruto's words even though they pissed Neji off. "Man, you think you got troubles? I've got news for you Neji, you're not the only special one around here."
Naruto than told Neji that Hinata was suffering more than her. I looked down. Naruto's right. Neji's taking out all his anger on her. It's not her fault. It's not her fault his father wasn't born first.
Neji needs to stop being a child. Naruto will make him see.
But . . . I glanced at my beat up brother. He's not looking too good. "I've blocked all 64 of your chakra points. How do you plan to keep fighting when you can't use your own chakra against me?"
Sure, be cocky. But Naruto is going to wipe the floor with him. I crossed my arms over my chest. Prepare to lose Neji.
Naruto will show him that his Byakugan isn't all powerful. Neji is not all powerful. Naruto, us it's chakra.
Naruto closed his eyes and I grinned. He's doing it. I felt my soul throb. W-what's that. I looked at Naruto. The hairs on the back of my neck stood.
Naruto did a hand seal and started to conjure up the Nine Tail's chakra.
Goosebumps covered my skin. "Why fight a hopeless battle trying to defy your destiny?" Neji asked. Naruto looked up, his spirit never wavering.
"Because people called me a failure. I'll prove them wrong."
My eyes widened as I saw the red chakra swirling around him. I could see it. It covered him. A fox's face formed on his seal and I took a step back in slight fear.
The wind picked up immensely below. I stood nervously.
But soon I stopped and grinned. That's my brother. An orange coat of chakra covered him.
Naruto moved fast, faster than me. He could move, even in the air. I grinned as they clashed. My body was jittery, excitement coursing through me.
Naruto can fight him close combat. Neji can't win. I watched anxiously as Naruto and Neji clashed.
A bright light occurred from the two powerful forces, than an explosion,
This is Naruto. The strongest shinobi. The future Hokage.
I waited for the smoke to clear to see two indents into the ground. Neji rose from one. So Naruto . . . I looked at the other one.
Naruto lay there. I blinked. No. No way. He lost?
Neji, with much effort, walked over to an unconscious Naruto. No. "Sorry, but this is reality. You're a failure. This match is over."
The earth below Neji erupted and up came Naruto, who punched him, hard underneath his chin. My eyes widened in surprise as his clone disappeared, revealing a hole, a tunnel.
Neji fell to the ground. He was conscious but I didn't see him getting up anytime soon. I smirked. Who's the failure now Hyuga? Never mock Naruto's dream.
Naruto walked over to Neji. "I should have guessed you used that Shadow Clone Jutsu. It's your specialty after all. I was careless." Neji spat.
Naruto was panting heavily.
"For the record, I failed the graduation exam three times. Cause there was this one jutsu that was always on the exam and it tripped me up every time. There was the one jutsu I just couldn't master. My clones were pathetic. That's right; I flunked the Shadow Clone Jutsu every time."
I closed my eyes, remembering the past. Naruto failed, all the time. But he never gave up. He never quit. And he did it over and over again.
"So don't come whining to me with this destiny stuff. And stop telling me you can't change what you are. You can do it too. After all, unlike me you're not a failure."
I grinned. Neji may be strong, but there's a limit on how far you can go when you're consumed by anger. In actuality, Neji's the failure.
"The winner is Naruto Uzumaki." I grinned and punched the air. Naruto saw me and did the same before we grinned at each other.
Naruto, you're getting stronger every day. You're getting smarter. And you're becoming wise.
