A Dubious Offer! Tsunade's Choice

The sound of birds chirping was the first thing I heard the next morning. Sunlight cascaded down on me, blinding me although my eyes are shut.

Groaning I rolled over and onto my brother. I buried my face in his chest, returning to the darkness and continued my slumber.

Naruto stirred but one of his arms laid lazily on me. As soon as I drifted off, an image of Tsunade popped into my mind. Groaning, I sat up and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. "That damn woman." I grumbled, standing up and stretching.

I nudged my brother with my foot. "Wake up. We need to start training again." Naruto groaned loudly.

Naruto and I still haven't mastered it. And tomorrow is the day. I held my hand out and focused. The chakra picked up and formed a sphere of chakra. "HA!" I slammed it on the tree.

"Damn it!" I shouted. It's still not right. Naruto was already up and began as well. It's almost been a week, tomorrow's the day.

Sighing, I wonder how I could do this. I think I understand the basics of it; I just need to put it into practice. As much as I have faith in my brother, it took our dad three years to create it. And he was a genius.

Naruto . . . isn't. And I may be smart and a quick learner, but not enough to learn it so quickly. The odds aren't in his favors. He really shouldn't have taken the bet.

But Naruto . . . he's different.

I don't know how to quite explain it, but he draws people to him like moths to a flame. And he always changes their life for the better. Now that I think about it, he's always been like that. I used to believe he was my light because he always brought up my spirits and changed our lives. But it's not just me.

Naruto is everyone's light. He really is amazing. If anyone can do it, he can. Looking at my hand I nodded.

I can't give up. Not now, not ever. I'm going to learn this jutsu. For Naruto, for my dad, and for Tsunade. I'll learn it, no matter what.

I watched as my chakra went wild like a typhoon on the palm of my hand. Come on, you can do it. If you can use Adamantine Sealing Chains you can do this!

~One Year Ago~

"HA!" I shouted. Nothing happened. I fell to my knees sweating profusely. Damn it! I'm still not getting it. How the hell do I make the chains?

That takes incredible amount of chakra control. There's no way I can do it. I've made some progress, but it's not enough! I sighed loudly. Maybe I should wait till I grow older. When I'll have a more likely chance to do it.

But . . . I'm so close. I've worked hard. I've studied everyday, whenever I can. I've watched ninja control their chakra, I snuck into the Hokage's office to learn jutsu's, I sleep four hours a night! I've dedicated my life to getting stronger.

I train first thing every morning before making breakfast. I then go to school with Naruto, pay extra close attention, ask in advance for homework, go home, do chores make dinner, whilst ready scrolls, clean up and do homework while practicing chakra control, then I train for four hours then go to bed.

When I'm cooking, doing homework, cleaning, I always worked on focusing my chakra. I worked hard, everyday for a few years.

Standing up, I concentrated. Focus, channel it. Come on!

Slowly, green chakra chains exited from my back. It went out three feet before retreating back in. I fell back down and threw up the contents of my stomach. After I finished I smiled.

Yes! I've made progress. I wiped my mouth and stood, concentrating. I'm doing this for me. I'm doing this for Naruto! I'm doing this to protect my most precious person! The chains slowly exited my body about the same before they went back and I threw up some more.

I'm running on empty fumes. I should stop. But . . .

I stood again, and repeated the routine over and over again before ultimately blacking out.

Everyday I practiced till I blacked out. I depleted most of my chakra, but I worked myself. I never gave up. I just worked harder.

And every day, I was able to make them longer and stronger. After a couple months, I was able to make them move at my will.

It was the most intense chakra control I have ever done, and by far the hardest thing to learn. But I managed to do it. I never gave up.

~Present~

My will to protect Naruto made me strong. It kept me moving. I was able to become a strong shinobi because of it. And now that I care for more then one person, I believe I can become even stronger.

The Rasengan I hard to learn, that I will admit. But I believe that the most difficult thing for me to learn is the Adamantine Sealing Chains!

If I could learn that, I can learn this!

We practiced till night, not giving up. Naruto collapsed to the ground. I turned to him, covered in a thin layer of sweat, pale, and nearly out of chakra. I started walking towards him but fell due to exhaustion.

Shit. I'm too drained. "Naruto . . ." I crawled over to my brother. The area around us completely destroyed. Placing my hand on his, I checked to make sure he was breathing. Satisfied with the results, I shut my eyes and allowed darkness to overcome me.

If I want to get it, I need to rest and replenish my chakra.

As soon as I do, I'm going at it again till I black out.

Again and again until I get it!

"Miyu! Miyu! Miyuna!" Growling I struck out, my fist connecting with flesh and whoever it was who was trying to wake me flew back with a scream. I turned and snuggled into the bed, content with myself.

"Ouch! Damn it. Miyuna Uzumaki get your butt out of bed!" A loud voice shouted in my ears. I snapped my eyes open and channeled chakra to my fist, aiming a hit at the person. My fist stopped millimeters away from my brothers paled face.

I blinked, my grouchiness slowly diminished. "Naruto? Wait, where are we?" I asked, realizing we were in a room, much better then ours.

He shrugged and pointed to Shizune, who lay on the floor. My eyes widened and I quickly moved from the bed I was resting on to her side.

I checked her pulse and let out a sigh of relief. What the heck? Someone knocked her out. This is probably her room, so it must have been Tsunade. Why? I'm not sure.

Shaking my head I gently shook her shoulders. "Hey. Hey wake up." Slowly, her eyes fluttered open.

Naruto crouched down next to me to look at her. "Naruto, Miyuna. I-" She gasped and sat up fast, startling us and making us fall on our butts. "What time is it?! What day is it today?! What day?! What time?!" She shouted frantically.

What's her problem. "It's Monday Morning." My brother answered, standing up. I nodded and stood as well. "Why, what is it?" He asked.

She looked at us in awe. "It's amazing. Are you two sure you're feeling alright? You guys were supposed to be out of it for two full days at least."

Huh? What is she talking about? Oh. I smile lightly. "I have a higher tolerance then most. As for Naruto . . ." I glanced at my brother who grinned. "Not a chance. No matter how beat up I get, just give me a good nights sleep and I'm right back at the top of my game!"

I smiled at him. "Besides, I got a date to keep with that rotten old witch Tsunade! Today's the day I wipe that smirk off her face!" He declared.

"So you've mastered the jutsu?" Shizune asked in awe. "Uh, no, not completely. But close enough so I'll just wing it! I'll be fine." Shizune started to laugh before wincing, grabbing her abdomen in pain.

Shizune turned serious and darted for the window. "Stay here you two! Stay here!" She opened the window and stuck her head out before a kunai almost hit her. "What in the world?!"

Naruto and I rushed to the window to see Jiraiya, leaning against the wall, panting heavily. "She slipped me a Mickey."

Tsunade did? What the hell is going on?!

We jumped onto the roof and sat him down. "Double crossing little vixen. She must have spiked my drink when I wasn't looking. I can't build up any chakra. My body is so weak, I don't even think I can throw a kunai straight."

I sweat dropped. Didn't he just almost kill Shizune?

"Great Pervy Sage! And you're always going on about what a great ninja you are! What, did you get distracted by her pretty face?!" Naruto taunted. "Shut up!" I sighed. These two, really.

Turning to Shizune, I gave her a blank look. "Is she going to Orochimaru?" I asked. Her eyes widened. "How did you-"

"Your scent. Tsunade's and yours was with Orochimaru and Kabuto's a week ago. Not to mention when we met you there was a faint trace of it. She admitted to seeing him, but I doubt he came to chat. He needs her. Why?" I asked.

She bit her lip. "He needs her to heal his arms. I'm not sure what's all wrong, but it seems only Lady Tsunade can heal them. Here, let me get you some water Master Jiraiya." She quickly fetched some. Jiraiya gulped it down.

"Are you feeling better Master Jiraiya?" She asked. Not taking my eyes off of them, I threw three kunai to my left.

I stood, still staring at Jiraiya who was giving me a knowing look. "You have a lot of guts four eyes." I said loudly.

He didn't come out. He ran off. "Okay Shizune. Continue." She was looking at where I had thrown my kunai. "But-"

"He ran off. Tell us more." She looked hesitant but broke. "I never imagined she would go through with it. That's why I-I never said anything about it before. But now . . ." She stood. "There's no time to lose. You must come with me quickly. I'll explain more on the way."

We all stood and followed her towards the destroyed castle. Tsunade's there. Her spicy scent is prominent. And so is his.

"He came to us, and asked she restore his arms. And in exchange he'd bring her loved ones back from the dead. But in exchange for two human sacrifices. I didn't think she'd do it. I would have told you all sooner, but to think she'd give in to his claims . . ."

I sneered. "That slithery bastard is still the same. This time I'm going to do a lot more then snap his neck." I hissed.

You stupid old woman!
