Ibiki's POV

"Hey Inoichi , don't you think that Chouza's daughter is weird ?"

"You mean Setsuna ?"

"Don't you think that she's suspicious ? It's like she knew something or she's . . . . hiding something from us ."

"What makes you say that ? She's just a child and she had just been kidnapped . She's probably just shaken up ." He argued .

"No , she's not acting like a child her age . I had became an interrogator for some time and any children that had gone through what she had , would surely lock themselves and stay away from everyone . " I explained.

"Also can you explain to me why or how does that scorpion seem so attach to her ? Have you never thought that the scorpion she loves may be the one who has taught her everything she knows ?"

I watched Inoichi as he closed his eyes together and started to think .

"I-I'm not sure Ibiki . I had been with her since she was brought here and she had always been a good girl . She didn't have any jutsu casted on when Chouza brought her here ."

"True , but they could use a jutsu that we can't detect . I also heard that the scorpion was the one who led the team to rescue the girl . Isn't that a little bit suspicious ?"

He seemed to agree with me on that matter because he nodded his head in agreement .

"If you ask me , I think you should keep your eyes on her and her scorpion ."

Inoichi sighed .

"Alright , I will tell Hokage-sama about this thing and inform Chouza to keep his eyes on that scorpion."

I raised one of my eyebrows when I heard his answer .

"If I told Chouza to watch Setsuna , he would probably be angry because after all , he had treated her like his daughter . And to be honest with you , I don't think Setsuna is anything but innocent . Why don't you go and see her again , maybe it will clear your mind off your suspicion ."

I nodded and went out of the room . Not because I wanted to clear my mind but because I wanted to know what she's doing inside that room . And I masked my chakra , just in case  if she was a spy .

When I entered the room , I saw her sitting on one of the couch , she was crossing her legs with a pink bunny on her stomach . Her hands were clasped together like she's praying and her eyes were closed . I felt my eyes widen when I stepped into the room . She was still in her own world as I walked closer to observe her .

However that wasn't the reason I was frozen in shock . No , but the dragon silhouette that was choking her was the reason . The minute I stepped away from the room , it flew towards my direction and went through my body .

I fell backwards , looking at the kid who was sleeping peacefully inside that room .

"What the hell was that ?" I muttered .

I got up and inspected her , only to find some claw marks on her hands and legs.

Must be from that dragon . Is it targeting her ? How did she sleep through that ?

I shook her shoulder to wake her up but she only groaned and shifted slightly before she continued to sleep .

"Hey kid , wake up !" I shouted and shook her a bit quickly this time . She didn't reply instead she latched herself to my arm and hugged it .

I shook my arm to let her go but she didn't budge . So ,I went to Inoichi to get some help . When he saw me , he didn't help me , instead he burst out laughing  .

"Let me Guess . . . . You tried to wake her and ended up like this . . . ." he said between  laughter .

"Stop laughing and help me , she's injured  ."

He immediately stopped laughing and gave me a surprised look .

"What ?! Did you hurt her ?"

"No , look at her wounds closely . It's a claw mark not a kunai mark ."

". . . the wounds are too deep for a normal animal claw mark ."

"That's because it isn't a normal animal ." I muttered , still couldn't believe what I had just seen .

"What do you mean ?"

I explained what I saw to him . And by the time I was done , he was as shocked as I was .

"Do you think it has something to do  with the man who kidnap her ?"

"If that's true , then this kid will need some protection ."

Setsuna was on her way home when she passed a new alley that she had never seen before . Out of curiosity , she went to explore that alley . As she went deeper and deeper into the alley , she started hearing a sound . A crying sound .

She quickened her walking pace , the alley was slowly leading her to a training ground . She stepped into the training ground only to see a dirty blond hair boy , sitting with his legs crossed right underneath a willow tree . He was crying , whimpering and rubbing his eyes continuously .

Setsuna walked closer to the boy , he looked to be around the same age as her brother . As she got nearer to the boy , she could finally see him clearly . He had scratches on his body and some bruises on his face and hands .

"Hey . . ." she started slowly . The boy raised his head and she watched as his eyes widened before he scooted farther from her .

"Please . . . don't hurt me . . ." he whimpered . Setsuna could feel her heart broke at his timid voice , this boy was clearly scared of her even when she had done nothing to him .

"It's alright , Tsuna isn't going to hurt you . Tsuna wanna help !" the boy watched her suspiciously , debating on his answers .

Setsuna didn't feel offended , she could clearly understand that the boy had gone through some tough things and she didn't want to ask him if it wasn't necessary .

The boy had finally come to a decision as he nervously stretched out his hands for a shake .

Tsuna accepted it and introduced herself "Hi , Tsuna's name is Setsuna Akimichi , nice to meet you ."

"H-hi my name is Naruto Uzumaki ." he shyly replied with a hesitant smile . "What happened to you Naru-chi ?" Setsuna questioned as she pointed to his wounds .

"Ah , the villagers did this to me . Ha-ha, I don't know why but everyone seemed to hate me here ahaha ." he bitterly laughed .

Setsuna furrowed her eyebrows as she started to raise her hands . Naruto immediately covered his head and shut his eyes , he thought that Setsuna was going to hit him like every other villagers did .

To his surprise , he felt his wounds slowly started to hurt less . Out of curiosity he slowly opened his eyes only to see Setsuna holding both of her hands out , a green light covering her small hands .

"What are you doing ?" He asked , still staring at the green light that seemed to be healing his wounds .

"Tsuna is healing Naru-chi . Have you never seen this jutsu Naru-chi ?"

Naruto shook his head and continued to look at it , completely mesmerized by the green light .

"Well , why don't you come to Tsuna's home ? You look hungry ." just then a loud growl filled the clearing , making the boy blushed ten shades of red . "U-un ."

Setsuna interlaced their hands and led her to her house . Once they arrived , they were greeted by Setsuna's mother . "Ara , you're early , done with your exploring ?" Chizuru greeted .

"Hai ! Mama , this is Naru-chi he's hungry and Setsuna is hungry too ! We want food !" Setsuna demanded cheerfully . Chizuru looked shock to see Naruto here but she smiled and welcomed the boy nonetheless .

She was in the process of making lunch for her family anyways , she just needed to make more for Naruto , meanwhile Naruto and Setsuna sat in the living room , reading a story book . When Chizuru was done cooking ,she called both of them and watched amusingly as they scurried over , Naruto almost stumbling over his own feet .

She placed the curry rice on the table and watched the two as they ate . Not long after that , Chouza came home smiling once he smelled the food's delicious aroma . He kissed his wife on the cheek and Setsuna on the forehead before he greeted little Naruto . "Hello there Naruto ."

"H-hello ." he greeted back , nervously . " Has Setsuna been treating you well ?" Chouza asked .

"Of course papa ! Tsuna is a good girl after all !" Tsuna exclaimed raising one of her hands into the air , making the old man chuckled .

"Then if Tsuna is a good girl , Tsuna shouldn't disappear so easily right ?"

Setsuna gasped "That's not right ! Tsuna not disappear , Tsuna is exploring !"

Naruto watched the scene silently , and when he could no longer hold it in , he laughed loudly , banging both of his small hands on the table . Setsuna and Chouja stopped and watched him before they copied his action . Chizuru shook her head and watched the scene happily .

After eating , Chizuru ordered them to clean themselves up . Starting with Chouza and Naruto who were both dirty . Naruto spent his time learning how to clean his body better with Chouza's help .

After the two little dwarfs were done cleaning themselves , Chizuru put them to bed for their much needed afternoon nap . Once they hit the bed , it didn't take long for them to drift to dream land .

Chouza's POV

"They asleep ?"

"Yes ." Chizuru sighed out loud .

"What's wrong ?" I asked , scanning her body for any wounds .

"No , it's just . . . . I feels bad for Naruto . He has no one waiting for him at home , no one to look after him when he's sick , no one to cook healthy foods for him ."

"Well , it's true . He basically eats ramen everyday . He also has to learn to do everything himself , there's no one there to help him train ."

"Yeah , sooo I was wondering . . ." Chizuru dragged out .

"I'm listening ."

"Um , can we adopt Naruto ?"

". . I'm not really sure about that ."

"But why ?" Chizuru yelled out .

"Think about it , even though I agree to adopt him , the other Akimichi members might not feel happy . Naruto may get picked on by some of the adult members . He won't feel happy that way right?"

"Well . .  that's true . . . but 'sigh' I just want to help him ."

Chouza kept silent for a while before he spoke again ." Maybe you can invite him to lunch and dinner at our house everyday . That way you can still take care of his health even if he doesn't live with us ."

"That's a great idea ! Why didn't I think of it ?"

"I don't know but you'll be late to pick Chouji up from Shikaku's house if you stay here any longer ." Chouza replied after a slight glance at the clock .

"Oh you're right ! I'm off ."

Chouza watched as his wife rushed outside to fetch their son . He went to Setsuna's room and watched both of the children sleeping soundly .

How can I tell your mom that your life is in danger Tsuna ?

Setsuna's POV

After mama left , Naru-chi and me opened our eyes again .

"Shh , not so loud . If mama know mama can go rawr with Tsuna and Naru ."

Naru-chi nodded.

"Ne Tsuna-chan , will you play with me again ?"

"Of course ! Tsuna didn't get to play many games with Naru-chi today !"

"It's just . . . nobody has ever been this kind to me , they never want to play with me too ."

I absolutely hated the look on his face . The loneliness that he must have felt all these years , well at least it explains why he is so loud all the time . Yet this goofball still managed to impress me in my previous life .

"Then Tsuna will play with Naru-chi ."

"R-really ?"

"Un , let's sleep , Tsuna is sleepy ." I added after seeing him yawn .

He was fast asleep a few minutes later .

'Milady , we have a problem .'

'I know . That old man found out , didn't he ?'

'How did you know ?'

'He sent someone to kill me . Ibiki saw it . '

'He saw it ?!'

'Yep. We're gonna have some ANBU to guard us starting tomorrow . I can't wait .'

'But that will ruin the plan !'

'That's why I need you to stay there and observe those two . Don't forget to keep an eye on that old hag for me .'

'What about your old man ?'

'I'll figure something out . I always do .'
