41.) It's Private
I can feel my heart race as he moves closer to me, dipping his head slightly before his lips gently brush mine. A shiver shoots through my body, leaving everything with a warm tingling sensation. I feel his hands snake around me and pull me into the warmth of his body. I can feel myself relax and before I know that I am responding to his touch I wrap my arms around his neck and up into his soft waves. Logic is lost as I feel his lips softly caress my own into a timid response. As I slowly start to give in to the feverish desire I wonder why I hadn't kissed Kiba before now.
~
One moment I am in my intense dream and the next I am being shaken awake. "Sakura, get up. You said we would go snowboarding today." I hear the smoky voice of Kiba call from my side. Why is he waking me up so early, and why is he in the girls room?
I groan and try to swat him away. "It's way too early to be out on the mountain." I mumble and hide my face under my pillow.
Kiba grabs my pillow and tosses it to the ground, causing a flash of déjà vu. "It's ten in the morning Sakura, everyone is already on the mountain." He says, a little annoyance in his voice.
I open my eyes and roll onto my back letting Kiba come into focus. He's dressed in some red, blue, and black snow pants with a black long sleeved under armor shit on and a red beanie. "Why didn't you wake me up earlier then?" I ask stretching slowly.
Kiba rolls his eyes. "I tried and you were dead to the world." He says the annoyance still in his voice.
I sit up and glare over at him. "You know you could have just left with the rest of them." I say peeling off the covers and swinging my feet to the cool carpet.
Kiba gives me an exasperated look. "Like that was an option. I will be in the living room." He responds dully before leaving the room and shutting the door behind him.
I ley back on the bed and sigh. My dream is slowly slipping from my mind but the feelings are still there, and they are strong. I never wanted to let Kiba go in my dream, couldn't imagine being without him, and now that I am awake the feelings still surge within me. I close my eyes and can almost feel his lips on mine, why couldn't it be like that in real life?
With one last heavy sigh I sit up and get off the bed to get dressed in my snow gear. Things seem to be headed that way so maybe if I am just patent it will evolve into that. I dress in a muddled maze of thoughts and before I realize it I am dressed and ready to leave.
When I reach the living room I now see why Kiba was so irritated when waking me up. There at the kitchen table is Hanabi eating, I guess I wasn't the only one who wanted to sleep in today. I look over at Kiba who is leaning against the kitchen counter with a cup of coffee in his hands and shake my head.
Kiba raises his eye brow at me, like he is asking me what's so funny. I smile and shake my head again walking over to him and opening the cupboard next to his head.
"What are you laughing at?" He asks me in a quiet voice so that Hanabi can't hear him.
I set my coffee cup on the counter and fetch the peppermint mocha creamer from the refrigerator. "I just see why I didn't get a better wake up call." I smile over at him quietly before returning the creamer to its rightful place.
I nudge Kiba with my hip and he slides over slightly to grant me access to the coffee pot. "She woke up two hours ago, I'm about to strangle her." He mutters quietly.
I look over at him and give him my 'you can't be serious' look and our gaze holds for a few moments. I'm so close to him that I can smell the fresh scent of rain on him, causing me to take a deep breath. A smile slowly spreads across Kiba's face. "I saw that." He says.
"Saw what?" Hanabi asks from the table as she turns around to face us.
She obviously missed our whole conversation, body language and all. I give Hanabi a smile and go take a seat next to her at the table. "Yea Kiba, what did you see?" I ask raising an eye brow at him.
Only Kiba can see the expression on my face and he knows that he can't respond the way he would like. "Nothing." He grumbles downing the rest of his coffee. "Can we please hurry up you two, we have wasted most of the day already." He says rinsing his cup and sticking it in the dishwasher.
I roll my eyes and sip my coffee. "Yea, yea, give me a few minutes." I say tiredly. I may be in a good mood but I am nowhere near being awake enough to snowboard down a mountain.
Kiba grunts and goes to the coat rack where his coat is hanging. "You can wake up on the way over. We do have to walk now because of you two." Kiba says slipping on his coat.
I sigh and chug my coffee. "Fine. I sure hope you won't be a grump all day." I mutter getting up to rinse my cup and put it in the dishwasher.
"Oh Kiba what is wrong?" Hanabi asks getting up from her seat and going to fetch her coat.
"Hanibi you need to clear your place." I say walking over to Kiba and grabbing my coat from the rack. I zip up my coat and watch as Hanabi hurries to rinse her plate and put it in the dishwasher. I turn to Kiba who looks like he really is about to strangle not just Hanabi but me as well. "Ready when you are." I tell Kiba with a soft nudge.
Kiba chuckles and nudges me back letting me know that he's good now. "Okay let's get going, don't forget to grab your boards. Can't snowboard without them." He says as we depart from the house.
