In one of the labs, scientists including Dr Andrews were examining the bug that was recovered, after Kong killed it.

Monarch Scientist: Armored exoskeleton, razor sharp teeth, sharp tipped feet, thermal vision, what is this thing?

Monarch Scientist 2: Not sure, but I highly doubt just one of these things could kill something that big

Nathan: It's most likely the Kamoebas was killed by sheer numbers.

Ilene: According to some Monarch creature profiles, this bug is known as a "Meganulon". An invasive species from the Titan Age.

Ilene activated the screen near the scientists and Lind. On the screen projected ancient carvings of the bugs. Attacking both Titans and human civilization alike.

Monarch scientists: These things could give a locust a serious run for its money.

Ilene: When the Titan Age ended, these things just like the Titans themselves, went into hibernation, but now it seems that their finally waking up...and very, very hungry.

Nathan: I don't think we've scratched the surface, these things could cause incredible damage if they slaughtered whole Monarch search units and killed a large turtle creature.

Monarch Scientist: Dr Lind is right, we need to make sure these things don't get to the surface and keep them contained down here.

Nathan: Kong might be able to keep them contained, he's dealt with Skullcrawlers before, these should be a pushover compared to the crawlers.

Monarch scientist 2: I wouldn't speak too soon, Dr Lind... These bugs maybe small but they have more than just sharp teeth and claws. It's DNA has properties of siphoning energy from prey, weakening it.

Nathan: Alright, now I'm worried....

Ilene: How do you think I feel, Nathan?

Later, up on the surface, near some village in Asia a small hole was opening up, and started to get bigger and bigger, soon enough a bug emerged, this bug was a Meganulon the same ones that killed the large Kamoebas, it scurried out of the hole but it didn't come alone, for an infestation was about to emerge.
