Familiars have both human and animal forms, they keep some of their animal traits in their human form.

3rd person POV
Tibby Devin sat at his living room table, his cauldron in front of him and a glass of water next to him.

He barely noticed his black cat familiar jump from the windowsill onto the table, meowing softly for his attention.

"I'm working Mickey" Tibby said, looking at the black cat in front of him.

The cat looked at him before looking at the glass of water before back to her witch and meowing.

"I'm working baby girl" Tibby said to her, Mickey looked at him before walking to the glass of water.

"Please don't" Tibby smiled at her as his cat nudged the glass closer to the edge with her nose.

That was the second he knew his grey carpet might be completely destroyed as the glass fell onto the carpeted floor.

Tibby looked at the cat that looked him straight in the eye, meowing softly at him.

"Really?" He asked, Mickey meowed again and pawed at his hand gently.

"I'm working " he said, knowing his familiar was bored.

The cat looked at him and then to the caldron, she dipped her paw into the caldron and looking at Tibby.

"Why are you like this?" he asked before the cat climbed into the caldron, looking at Tibby.

"You'll need a bath tonight then" Tibby said, his familiar hissed which caused him to laugh.

"This is your own fault" he said, taking Mickey out of the caldron.

She hissed again, dripping with blue liquid.

"What'll get you to have a bath?" He asked her, which resulted in Mickey jumping back onto the table and starting to chase her tail in a circle, trying to pounce on it.

"If I bath you will you behave?" He asked her, Mickey looked up at her witch and nodded before going back to chasing her tail, which made the witch laugh and pick up his familiar.

"Come on, bath time" he smiled as Mickey licked his nose, meowing softly.

"Are you going to turn into your human form at all today or am I stuck with cat Mickey?" He asked her, Mickey meowed and licked his nose again, Tibby laughed and brought Mickey through to the bathroom.

Mickey jumped into the sink, meowing softly at him, Tibby smiled and started running warm water in the sink, most of which Mickey pawed at and licked.

Tibby turned off the water and reached for Mickey's cat shampoo, which resulted in Mickey reaching up to paw at his hand.

Tibby laughed and started to wash her fur, Mickey pawed at Tibby affectionately and licked his hand.

"So am I getting human form Mickey today or just cat Mickey?" Tibby asked again, Mickey meowed.

"I don't speak cat Mick" Tibby laughed, Mickey looked up at him before nodding, implying that Mickey would be in her human form at some point that day.

Tibby smiled and pet his familiar gently, Mickey purred and jumped in the water.

"You ready to get out?" Tibby asked, Mickey nodded and pawed at his hand as the witch picked her up.

Tibby smiled and wrapped Mickey in a blanket, which he found incredibly adorable as she cuddled into the blanket happily.

Tibby smiled as he set Mickey down on the bed, Mickey jumped out of the towel and started playing around the bed.

Tibby laughed as Mickey climbed under the covers, meowing softly.

Tibby smiled and walked out of the room, deciding that he'd need to do more work.

Mickey followed, her tail swaying happily as she climbed on the couch next to her witch, curling up next to him as Tibby worked.

Tibby watched as the cauldron turned a bright pink, Mickey meowed happily for his success, nuzzling his leg affectionately as he smiled, picking her up.

He laid back on the couch, Mickey on his chest as he yawned, feeling Mickey nuzzle close, he smiled sleepily.

"Liar" he teased her sleepily, Mickey looked up with confusion "you didn't turn into your human form" he kissed her head, Mickey purred at the affection.

"It's fine, you can turn into a human tomorrow" he smiled sleepily, feeling her purr.
