"Khun Arthit, I have mailed you my conditions for accepting the job offer. Please have a look and let me know," Kong messaged half an hour after his interview finished.

Arthit frowned at the message, "Quite forward of you to assume you are the one we have decided to make an offer to," Arthit replied back. "There were at least twenty candidates interviewed before you."

"Thinking forward is just one of my virtues,Khun Arthit" Kong replied back. "I hope your reply will be as swift as your rebuttal."

"Is this a way to talk to your employer, Kongpob?" Arthit texted back.

"Quite forward of you to assume you are the one I have chosen to work with," Kong sent with an eye roll emoji. "Yours was my fifth interview."

Arthit sighed.

What can he do? his own teachings are coming back to bite him in the ass. He himself had taught Kong to not take anyone's shit and Kong was using it on Arthit himself.

"Let me check the contract, and we can meet tonight on late dinner to iron out finer details of it"

"Sorry, Khun, I have prior engagements tonight," Kong replied. "Besides, my conditions are quite straightforward, and most of them are non-negotiable."

"Okay. I will reach out to you after giving it a read."

"Thank you, Khun. Have a nice day."

Arthit clicked on the email Kong had sent him. The conditions were truly straightforward without any word mincing.

Both parties are agreeing to following conditions

1. POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Employer agrees to employ Kongpob in the position of Executive Assistant. Kongpob agrees to perform the duties and responsibilities assigned by the Employer.

2. NON-DISCRIMINATION:
The Employer shall not discriminate against Kongpob based on gender, gender identity, or omega status. Both parties agree to comply with all applicable anti-discrimination laws and regulations.

3. EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES:
Kongpob shall be provided with equal opportunities for hiring, promotions, and professional development, free from any bias related to omega status.

4. WORKPLACE TRAINING:
The Employer agrees to conduct diversity and inclusion training programs for all employees to promote understanding and inclusivity regarding gender identities.

5. CONFIDENTIALITY:
Any information related to Kongpob's omega status shall remain confidential, with disclosure limited to necessary personnel.

6. FLEXIBLE WORKING ARRANGEMENTS:

Upon request, the Employer may consider flexible working arrangements for Kongpob, especially during heat cycles.

7. HEALTH AND WELL-BEING PROGRAMS:
The Employer shall provide access to health and well-being programs that address the specific needs of omegas, including healthcare resources and counseling services.

8. HARASSMENT AND BULLYING PREVENTION:
The Employer agrees to enforce a strong anti-harassment policy, specifically addressing discrimination or bullying based on omega status.

9. PARENTAL LEAVE AND FAMILY SUPPORT:

Kongpob shall be entitled to fair and equal parental leave policies and family-friendly support in accordance with company policies.

10. EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUPS:
The Employer may support or establish employee resource groups or networks focusing on gender diversity and inclusivity.

11. REGULAR CHECK-INS:
Kongpob and the Employer agree to regular check-ins to discuss concerns related to discrimination or inclusivity.

12. PAID LEAVE:
Kongpob shall be entitled to a minimum of 3 paid leave days per month, which may be utilized for personal or health-related reasons, in accordance with company policies.

"Why would you need parental leave?" Arthit messaged, ears blood red, yellow flashing in his eyes.

"For my kids, of course," Kong sent an eye roll to drive the point home.

"YOU HAVE KIDS? BUT HOW? YOU ARE NOT MATED! JUST WHAT WERE YOU UP TO IN THE TWO YEARS I WAS GONE?"

"I do not see how it is any of your concern," Kong replied. "But if you are dying out of curiosity, I do not have kids of my own. I am still pathetically single as I was before you left. Now happy?"

Kong wasn't with a kid or a mate. Arthit heaved a relieved sigh. He doesn't even know why he was so relieved.

"Being single is not pathetic." Arthit protested.

"And that it was just a precautionary clause. So the company won't have an excuse to sack me on the grounds of unprofessionalism."

"Do you not know me? Would I ever do that to you, Kong?" Arthit asked, Kongpob's words like a knife to his heart.

"Do I really know you?" Kong sent back. "The Phi Arthit I knew did not encroach upon others' personal space. Especially not an omega that is to become his employee."

"I was not talking to you as an employee. You are also a family member to me Kong. And more than that you are my childhood friend."

"That is so rich coming from you, Khun Arthit. You did not even remember this family member since more than two fucking years, now when I am about to work for you, you suddenly remeber these useless details.

"I can explain. Let's meet over dinner, Kong."

"I told you, I am busy tonight."

"Tomorrow, then?"

"I am busy my whole life."

"PRATHIT ! (Nickname of Kong used by Arthit's family members since it has same meaning as Kong and contains Arthit's name in it...."

" and that reminds me....I am adding another condition, Khun Arthit. Although it will not be in writing, the moment you break them, I am going to resign.

1. We are always to maintain professionalism. You will not ever pry into my private matters.
2. You will only ever call me Kongpob. No other names."

"Kong. I am sorry, alright. I Got angry, it slipped out."

" Not a new occurrence, Khun Arthit. A lot of things slip out of your mind when it comes to me, like sending one reply to thousand fucking emails and letters." Kong typed in rage but then deleted it. He typed a new, seemingly more unemotional message.

" Do you agree to my conditions? Or should I find work somewhere else?"

"Kong!"

"Don't set a precedent of workplace harassment, Khun Arthit."

"Thank you for thinking so highly of me. I bet working with you will be most memorable event in my life. "

"Certainly! I will strive to meet your requirement. " Pat came the reply " As your assistant, It is my duty to see your demands fulfilled sir, Have a nice day."

"Yeah, the day is so fucking nice after getting accused for harrasment for asking a friend to have dinner. Arthit mumbled. Kongpob was livid at him And he couldn't even blame him.

If Kong would have disappeared from his life without notice, he will give even worse hell to Kong. Visiting their canadian branch wasn't supposed to be a long stay. On the day of his return, Arthit got news that his mother's matchmaking had worked. Kong had gone to first date with Knot, and was looking forward to his next date. He did not have strength to return. He decided to wait until they mated, until his dragon could do nothing to change the situation.

Its not like he could blame Kong or his mother. In second year of his highschool itself, he had told Kong that he wouldn't be himself mating Kong, but finding him a good alpha will be his responsibility.

Kongpob's mother was livid so was his own mother. But, Kong came to his rescue, saying he did not see Arthit with a lover's eyes. And as always, to save him from both Family's ire, Arthit was taking blame on himself. Their families seemed to believe Kong's reason.

No one said anything to Arthit after that. And no one knew the truth. To both the families (except Kongpob's mother), breaking up of their mating was caused due to Kongpob's wish. Arthit got loads of sympathy, and comfort hugs And advice that matters of heart cannot be forced, while Kong actually needed all that. Arthit used to secretly leave food and icecream tubs to Kong. But deep down he knew, that did not lessen the pain even a bit.
Slowly, he distanced himself from Kong because complex human beliefs were out of scope of understanding of his dragon.

Just after a week, Arthit formally announced his protection to Omega Toota. Even then, Kong did not blame him. There was not anythingbhe can do to make Kong truly angry with him then.

Right now, Kong was livid- Arthit can even see Kong clutching his fingers in to a fist and giving him a mean right hook. Rightfully So. He wished, it was as simple to make things like they were before he left.

Anyways. He was happy for Kong. His best friend Knot is a good alpha. He knows Kong since college days and always had high regards for Kong . He will take care of Kong. Arthit can now put away his worry, but the boulder on his heart seemed to grew heavier, making it hard to breathe.

"Everyone around us has eyes so..."Toota shrugged, smirking.

Arthit glared at him "You know what I mean. Is it far enough that no one known to us will crash here?"

" Its one and half hour from both our residences and work place. Your secret is safe,lover boy"

"I am not anyone's lover boy. Refrain from such names please."

"Dude, your brother is my mate and he wouldn't be caught dead here." Toota grinned " And you had come here to shop for Kong, your to be employee. What does that tell us?"

"Only thing this tells us is You need to pull your Alpha's leash tighter"

Rightly, as Toota had said, The Omega Essentials Store was a haven for those seeking comfort and necessities.

Arthit, determined to make Kongpob's transition to the office smoother, had diligently prepared a list of items he deemed essential for Kong to have handy. He had arranged for it to be provided to Kong as welcome package by the company. Toota, had kindly agreed to accompany him to provide valuable insights into omega needs.

Arthit scanned his list," we need socks, gloves, band-aids, chamomile diffusers, scent-blocking patches, and heat medication , may be those neck guards- I have heard some omegas feel more safe in public space with it. please feel free to add any other stuff that an omegas needs. "

"Let's start from first item on our list then" Toota pointed at the socks he had picked up the shelf "These thermal socks are perfect for chilly days. These one with cotton blends are good for summer. And here are our life saver chamomile diffusers that will help him relax during stressful moments."

eyeing the items, Arthit nodded "Good, add them to the basket. His feet are sensitive to cold. Would 10 of each suffice?"

" I can understand the socks but 10 diffusers? Seriously? Are you mad Arthit?"

Arthit frowned." Kong keeps breaking or loosing things. He is a thunder dragon, electric appliance often short circuit when he gets overwhelmed. Its better be ready than sorry. "

"Fine, you can always give those extras to me" Tootah winked.

Arthit just stared at the metres long aisles. " I have wrote only few items. There are so many omega essential items here. I think I have missed many things. Should I tell the counter to pack every item in their store ?"

"Thit, this store is called omega's heaven. Means, it has everything an omega needs, from heat medicines , scent patches, baby supplies to cute sexy lingerie, freaky hot role play costumes and every imaginable pleasure device. Do you want him to give them as welcome present from the company ?"

Arthit's cheeks turned pink, he cleared his throat, intentionally avaoidibg Toota's teasing gaze, he announced
" next item on the list are band aids. Lots of them. If there would be any world record of getting paper cuts, Kong would definitely have them all."

"Are you sure, Kong is not your mate Arthit?" Toota asked concerned. "Kong was too young when he said he does not see you as a mate but friend. What if things have changed now?"

Arthit pursed his lips " Nothing has changed. Let's not waste more time chatting.."

As they continued their exploration of the store, Arthit's attention was suddenly diverted when he noticed Kongpob browsing through a section that caught him off guard.

A range of discreet pleasure devices lined the shelves. Kongpob had an alarmingly real looking phallus in his hand. He pressed a button somewhere at its base and it started vibrated with a low whir, the portion just below the mushroom head swelled, imitating a knot.

Arthit's eyes widened, and a flush crept up his cheeks.

"What is Kong doing in that section? "

"Oh that? those are aisle for toys specially designed for couple's pleasure." Toota, oblivious to Arthit's internal turmoil, pointed to the heat medication. "These are excellent for heat symptoms. Make sure he keeps them handy."

Arthit had his eyes stuck on Kong "Yeah, sure, add them."

Keeping the phallus back, Kong took the next device, some kind of small size vibrator. Pressing its button, Kong pressed it to his pulse point on neck, seemingly satisfied, he chucked both the phallus and the vibrator in his cart.

Unbeknownst to Arthit's stare and rising anxiety, Kong walked to next aisle housing VR(Virtual reality) sets.

"ooh...."Toota who had caught up to Arthit's sudden change of interest whistled lowly, " Never thought Kong was one of those adventurous guys."

"Kongpob had always loved VR gaming consoles."

"Its different type of Gaming console Arthit" Toota smirked " Kongpob must be planning some fun nights before he starts his hectic job in 2 days"

" He is Single , he is not dating anyone."

" And since when has dating become necessary for having some fun?" Toota asked.

"I know Kong, he needs to be emotionally connected to be physical."

" You seem to know too much about Kong! " Toota remarked.

" He is my childhood friend. Its normal to know his quirks. "

" I heard you were quite crazy about him. Are you sure he is only " a friend" . Toota airquoted.

While Arthit was engrossed in bantering with Toota, Kongpob noticed him across the aisle with Toota. A subtle twinge of jealousy flared in Kongpob's chest as he observed the duo shopping together. Is Phi Arthit dating someone and came here to buy something for valentines? And why is he taking Phi Toota's help? He could ask his sister phi Grace to help. He knows Toota is Arthit's Brother in law now. But sometimes he could not forget Toota was also the omega Arthit had publically announced to take under his care, within 5 minutes of their meeting.

Toota was also the omega Arthit had willingly given his shirts to make dens with in heats, while Arthit grumbled in thousand different tones if Kong ever took a sweatshirt or T-shirt of Arthit.

As if Arthit was listening his thoughts, he looked up. Their eyes met, Arthit opened his mouth to say something, his legs moved towards Kong as if they had mind of their own. .

A sudden nervousness gripped Kong's heart. It was relatively easier to i be angry over text message. What should he do now that they were face to face ? Should he stay and confront Arthit? Or should he just walk away?

Lifting his gaze, he realized ,his options expired now - He took too much time to choose. Phi Arthit stood infront of him.

" You said you are single, why are you buying these VRs?"

" You really have selective memory!" Kong glared " I also said, keep your curiosity to yourself"

"I was just enquiring because I want to buy it too" Even Arthit did not know why he suddenly blurted it when he was barely able to look at that damned device but he kept his stance. "Just wanted an expert advice."

Kong folded his hands infront of his chest and gave him a onceover with raised brows, he smiled one of those fake smiles" really? you want to buy it? And whom are you buying it for?"

Arthit gave equally fake smile " Curious? Do act on your own advice and keep your curiosity to yourself."

"Sure, I never had a problem with minding my own business unlike some people I know" Kong retorted still with that obvious fake smile, just like they used to fight in their childhood.

" Oh really? Then why do I remember someone breaking his leg just because he was too curious -" Arthit's retort was cut short by Knot. "Hey Thit, What a surprise man! I came to take KOng to dinner. Come on, join us to dinner, let's grab a drink later, its been so long since we have had one together."

"No..no, I came here with someone. "

"Boyfriend?" Knot teased.

"No...I.."

"Knott! " Toota's cheerful voice interrupted them.

"Toots! How come you are here? Your alpha lets you walk on ground?" Knot teased at Ayan's over protective nature.

"Very funny" Toota made face.

" Now that you both and Kong are here , let me call others let's have a senior-junior dinner."

After sitting tense for initial flew moments, both Arthit and Kong relaxed. Wine flew freely, so did their shared memories of college. After having great food and good laugh, the friends seperated. On Arthit's insistence, Knot took Bright and Prem home while Toota and Kong sat in Arthith's car.

When Arthit stopped the car infront of Kong's flat , Kong gathered his purchases except one big beize bag.

"You are forgetting this." Arthit reminded. "Its your VR" Kong replied "Have fun" The twinkle in his eyes already alerted Arthit of a prank, but he did not want to ruffle Kong's feathers. And since Toota was too already exhausted and dozing, Arthit discreetly hid the gift and walked to Kong.

"Let me escort you till the door."

"I can walk" Kong said sternly. Arthit silently waited till lights from Kong's apartment were lit.

Habitually, Kong came to his window and Arthit indeed was still standing, waiting for him to reach safely. Frowning, Kong drew the shutters on window, cutting Arthit's view of him. " Now you care!" KOng mumbled, teary.

"You were quite tipsy, check if you have properly locked the door " Arthit's message pinged on his mobile.

Furious, Kong sent him video explaining personal boundaries as reply.

"G.n" Arthit messaged after himself checking if Kong's door was locked properly.
