***Milo's POV***
Oh my fucking God. I can't do this. Nope. Not happening.
"Just get it done. Then we can take a break." My husband lifts his head from his homework, offering me an encouraging smile.
"This shit is exhausting. I'm only one person. One. Do they not realize that?" My head becomes a thumping drum.
Four classes and only one is kicking my ass. I am overwhelmed.
"Why the fuck do they need a seven page report? Answer me that. Math, English, Science, it's all easy. Psychology? I'm drawing a blank." I throw my pencil across the room, sweeping my hand across the pages below me. They land in a flurry on the ground.
"Okay. First, let's not throw things. Please." Batman stands up, picking up my pencil and papers. He sets them down softly in front of me.
"Take a break." Batman pulls me into his arms. He walks me outside, snatching Cash up on our way.
Setting Cash down in the grass, Batman pulls me into the middle of the yard. He hits the screen on his phone. Music filters through our outdoor speakers. He holds me close as he begins to sway.
"I fucking love you." I kiss his chest as I whisper the words to my husband. He's amazing.
"I love you. That's why I'm not letting you get discouraged. You got this. I have you. Don't stress." Batman walks us in small circles. The dance reminds me of my birthday, when he proposed.
God, I am a blessed man.
The music shifts through several songs. Batman changes positions, moving me to rest my back against his chest. He curls around me, placing soft kisses on my neck.
Fuck homework. We can do this all night. I smile into his touch.
"Feeling better?" Batman's soft tone sends shivers down my neck. His breath caresses my skin, igniting me on fire.
"Feeling horny." I smirk. The man couldn't hide that bulge with a wall. I feel it press against me.
"You are more than welcome to nurture that feeling, after you finish your homework." Batman kisses my neck, lingering there. His tongue laps at my flesh.
"Slave driver." I growl playfully.
"Motivator." Neko challenges. He chuckles into my back.
"Grab the baby. I have work to do." I walk off to go find my offensive papers. The faster they get completed, the quicker I get my reward.
Four hours later, I'm not done. I don't know why I thought this was a good idea. It's quite possibly the worst idea ever. I'm hungry, horny and bored.
Psychology can suck a dick.
I would much prefer to be doing so myself.
"Here." Neko pushes the most amazing plate of spaghetti in front of me. Setting down garlic bread and salad, my husband sits beside me.
He is a keeper.
"Thank youuuuuu." I sing the last word. He's a fucking star.
"You're welcome Koala. After this, put up your homework. I want you to soak in a tub, relax." Neko pulls my head towards his lips, placing a sweet kiss on my head.
"What did I do to deserve you?" I am in awe of my Batman.
"Being you." Neko steals a kiss off my lips. I almost dive forward to forget about dinner entirely. My stomach protests my thoughts. I turn to my dinner to begin filling my grouchy belly.
"How is your homework going?" I ask. I love hearing about his day.
"You're eating it. I documented the whole process, wrote step by step procedures and took a picture. Enjoy." Neko twirls his noodles on his fork before taking in the large bite.
"A+." I nod my head. Neko cooks fantastically. I'm so lucky.
"Glad you think so, love." Neko continues eating, alternating between salad and spaghetti.
I scarf my pasta down, moving to the salad after. I like the salad the best. I saved it for the end. It's just me.
After we eat, I clean up the kitchen. When I am finished, I turn off the lights.
Cleaning up my homework, I shove it in my bag. I turn the lights off before walking to the room. I can hear the tub filling.
Excitedly, I strip. I push my clothes into the hamper as I make my way into the bathroom.
Have mercy.
My husband is already soaking in the water. His legs are wide open, inviting me to sit in between them.
Slipping into my favorite spot, I lean against Neko in the tub. His arms circle around me. He cuddles into my neck. Slowly, his fingers make comforting circles on my stomach.
"You are certifiably perfect." My praises come easily. Neko is incredible.
"Out of the two of us, you have the most on your plate." Neko sweeps my bangs back, pulling my head to rest on his shoulder.
"You have a full time job." I argue. He has it harder.
"You have a part time job at the pet store, a full school load and the puppy. You're doing well. I'm so very proud of you." Neko would congratulate me for taking a crap. He literally acts like I walk on water.
"I'm lucky and blessed to have you. You continuously encourage me. Your praise is never ending. Thank you for being in my corner. I seek to always impress you." My eyes close. I'm truly exhausted. I relax into Batman's arms.
His hands work over my flesh, lathering soap over my skin. I would help but, he is doing a wonderful job. I don't need to interfere.
I jostle when I feel strong arms release me. My eyes dart around in confusion.
"Shhhh. Baby, go back to sleep." Neko crawls in beside me, laying on the bed that he apparently tucked me into.
"Sorry." My voice is raspy. I wonder how long I slept.
"Goodnight Koala." Neko places a gentle kiss on my head while he snuggles me into his chest.
Sitting up quickly, I scrub my eyes with my fists.
"What's the matter sweetheart?" Neko sits up, placing his hands on my shoulders. He turns me to face him.
"I promised. You. Sex." I yawn between words. I'm dead tired.
"One night won't hurt. Lay down. I just want to hold you." Neko pulls me down with him. I nod in agreement. My yawn cuts off any coherent thoughts.
"Good morning, Love." Neko's sexy morning voice greets me gently. I smell coffee. Sitting up with a large stretch, I notice my husband made me breakfast in bed.
"Thank you." I grab my plate of waffles. Taking a large gulp of the heavenly liquid, I sigh through swallowing my coffee.
"Thank God it's Friday." I smile knowing that I don't have class tonight.
"Mr. Graham called. Said he hired a helper, his grandson. You can take the weekend off if you would like." Neko informs me of my boss' call.
"We need the money." I shake my head. I'm not going to be a loser.
"We don't. You need rest. You still have a paper due. Just take the weekend off. Please, for me." Neko smiles his sexiest grin at me. I nod my head. He doesn't play fair.
"Reward me later." I lean over to kiss a droplet of syrup off of his lips. Maybe, I licked the syrup off. I'm not telling.
"I have to go in until lunch. Cash has been taken out this morning already. I will bring him in to lay with you. Rest. That is an order." Neko stands, in his devastating glory, walking away from me.
I finish my breakfast, pulling my laptop off the bedside table to start typing what I have already written.
Neko places Cash on the bed. Immediately, our pup dances across my lap, laying his body over my keyboard.
"Okay bed hog. I have to work." I push our pup into my hip. He moves right back onto the laptop.
"Aren't you a little attention hoe?" I pick our baby up, laying him on my chest. He scoots his chubby body into my shoulder, right beside my neck.
"I love you Koala." Neko leans down, tasting my lips to say goodbye.
"I love you more." I pull him down, delivering what I hope is a reminder for later.
"Save that. I plan on cashing in that rain check." Batman caresses my chin with his fingertips. I could just melt.
Neko scratches Cash's head before leaving for his work day.
"Okay, puptastic. It's me and you. Wanna watch some tv?" I pick up the remote, flipping through the channels. Seeing tiny ducks waddle after their mana, I place the remote to my side.
Cash snuggles into me while I lay back. The paper can wait a bit, cuddling seems much more important. My fingers lazily trail his wrinkled coat.
An hour later, I remember that I promised Batman I would finish my assignment. Moving Cash to my side again, I start working.
My motivation picks up quickly. Before I know it, the last word is typed. Felling extremely proud of myself, I wonder why I was so overwhelmed to begin with.
Scanning the paper, I see why it was easy. Page after page describes my happiness. The assignment was to explain the meaning of life. After struggling at first, I figured out that I was looking too literally into the term life.
What was I thinking? Life isn't a singular entity alone. Life is a series of perceptions, events, feelings and everything in between. Life is living. Life is people, heartache, love, rising and falling.
If anyone knows life, I do. From the bottom to the top, the lowest valley and the highest peak, I have lived. In my nineteen short years, I have experienced the in between.
Choosing to focus very little on the negative, I have written pages filled with depression, overcoming anxiety, fighting for a reason to breathe, friendship and most importantly my love for my husband.
I could write a book about his love alone.
Everyday, Neko proves that we are not a product of what we grew to be taught. We make choices. We cultivate love where no love was ever planted. We rise above terrible circumstances. Something, greater than our wildest imaginations, lies on the other side, waiting to be discovered.
His love is consuming, passionate, nurturing and pure.
My paper may be a tad on the emotional side. I don't care. I wrote for me, about me and to be proud of myself. I think that's the best we can all do. If someone reads it, but finds flaws, then kudos to them. I'm not claiming perfection. I am merely doing my best. That's enough.
In Neko's eyes, I am enough. If someone projects that upon you daily, eventually you believe it. After belief, comes acceptance. With acceptance, you find yourself proud of who you are and who you will become.
My husband is everywhere, in everything that I do. Neko has implanted so much faith in me that I have faith in myself. To be honest, I am emotional. My husband brings it out in me.
Closing my laptop, I stand to go to the kitchen. Batman will be home soon. It would be nice if he comes home to a meal he is not responsible for preparing.
Knowing I can't feed him my signature pop tarts, I open google.
Staring into the fridge, I type in the ingredients we have. Hopefully, that will spawn something edible.
I work hard on a small lunch. The house is in tact; the smoke alarm didn't even trigger. I plate our meals, pouring drinks for both of us. After setting the table, I sit.
My wait isn't long as Neko strolls through the door. His eyes light up at the tiny feast I have prepared. I motion my hand for him to sit; he willingly obliges.
"Great surprise, Koala. It smells magnificent." Neko kisses my lips before taking his first bite. I await his assessment. I kinda wanna make sure we won't need to go grab takeout.
"Lemon basil chicken is difficult. I am truly impressed. This risotto is tender. You did wonderfully." Neko compliments me immensely.
"Thought, for once, that I would feed you." I pick up my fork. Moaning, I savor the food. Jesus, I would marry myself.
The food is delicious. Nothing though, compares to the handsome man that sits beside me consuming it.
