Progress

***Neko's POV***

Yesterday was definitely a stressful day. Hell the last few week's have been more than taxing.

Milo went from high to low on a dime. One minute every thing crashed down on him. The next he was back to my Koala.

Therapy helps.

Fuck it helps so damn much.

We are going one day a week as a partnership. Once a week Milo has his private session. Every  day I ask how he is feeling. Everyday he is honest and I appreciate that so much. The trust he puts in me is unwavering.

He has less than a month until the school year ends. He has been cramming for his finals. Work is going great on my end. I got a promotion. So of course, more meetings. The money is good and no one could complain at 9-5 with half days on Fridays.

Milo turns 18 just as school comes to a close. So, I'm planning my love's big day. We can't celebrate the day of due to the start of the trial. It's fucked up to spend your birthday in court, but that's just the way it is.

Lux is coming over later while Max, Kyle and Natalie to distract Milo so we can plan his party. I'm a little excited. Okay I'm overwhelmingly excited.

Milo won't tell me what he wants. He spews shit like you're all I need and I have everything I need. That won't work. Milo deserves the world. I plan on giving it to him.

My phone rings and the school number shows up on caller ID. I immediately pick it up, worried something is wrong with my baby.

"Mr. Evans, this is Principal Likens. I wanted to see if you could come in around 2 pm today. Nothing is wrong. I just would like to speak with you, Milo and the guidance counselor. Would that be okay with you?" Principal Likens requests.

Checking the time I see I have thirty minutes until the end of my day. I can definitely squeeze in a meeting. I do wonder what the meeting could possibly be about.

"Yes Sir. I will be there." I agree politely.

We say goodbye and go back to my work tasks. The thirty minutes pass quickly. I leave the office, grab a coffee and go home to change. Soon enough I am headed towards the school.

I park the truck and grab my cellphone. I get out, lock the doors and head straight into the school building. Classes are changing over. I can't help but notice the looks the girls are giving me. Some are giggling behind their hands, hoping to be discreet.

I throw a couple half finger waves and a few winks their way. I follow it up with a chuckle and a shake of my head.

Wrong tree sweethearts.

I smile as I greet the receptionist, Mrs. Margaret. She quickly ushers me to Mr. Wilkes office. Milo smiles widely as he jumps up and wraps his arms around my waist. I kiss his forehead while holding back the deep kiss I prefer to place on his beautiful pink lips.

I grab Milo's hand and lead him to the two chairs facing Mr. Likens.

"Nice to see you again, Neko." Mr. Likens offers me a hand shake and I gladly take it.

The school counselor, Mrs. Robbie, offers her dainty hand. I smile and land a kiss over her soft knuckles. She giggles and blushes before slowly pulling her hand back.

Charming, I know.

"Neko, I wanted to discuss Milo's grades. He has really done excellent. Especially considering his learning curve, recent circumstances and his frequent absences." Mr. Likens explains.

I nod my head. Milo has really been working hard.

"Mrs. Robbie suggested that Milo could graduate next year." Mr. Likens offers.

I look over at my Koala, proudly.

"I'm okay graduating at my pace now." Milo barely looks away from me when he speaks.

"Koala, this is an honor. I think you should consider it." I softly coo.

"I don't want to leave my friends. I will miss them." Milo whispers. He turns his head into my shoulder and I comfortingly stroke his hair.

"I realize this is overwhelming. However, colleges are going to see this and they will be more likely to offer you scholarships." Mrs. Robbie cuts in.

"Can I think about it?" Milo asks nervously.

"Of course, honey. You can give us an answer by the end of the year. We just wanted to take time to congratulate you for all your effort. Also, Neko, you have obviously been a strong advocate in his development. Thank you. The improvements go far beyond academic. Milo smiles so much more. The change in his demeanor is night and day." Mrs. Robbie praises.

"Thank you." I accept her acknowledgment.

"One more thing." Mrs. Robbie sighs and wrings her hands.

"Yes." I look directly at her.

"We know that the trial is starting. This won't complicate Milo's advancement in any way. We wanted to let you boys know, we are here for you. If you need anything at all. Please come to us. It can't be easy prosecuting your parents." Mrs. Robbie explains.

"It's actually quite easy. I hope they rot behind bars. I'm sure you have each read, witnessed and heard. Milo deserves justice." I contradict her previous statement.

"We agree with that." Mr. Likens rubs his eyebrows before folding his hands in front of him.

"Any thing at all. We are here. And, Milo, please consider our offer. You are quite intelligent. This is an opportunity in the right direction for your future. Talk to your friends. Discuss the pros and cons. You are a brilliant and strong young man. I can't wait to see what you become." Mr. Likens confesses.

"Thank you for all your kind words." Milo smiles as he stands and reaches his hand out to shake Principal Likens hand. Mrs. Robbie pulls Milo in for a hug. I'm not surprised when he hugs her back tightly.

"Milo you can check out. You have been excused. See you Monday." Principal Likens informs us.

Milo and I politely leave and I follow him to his locker. We grab his things. I lace my fingers thru his while we walk out of the school. When we reach the truck, I press him against the passenger door and finally greet him properly. I kiss his lips softly. Then his forehead, finally I kiss his hands. Milo smiles as I open his door for him.

Once my Koala is safe inside, I get in on the drivers side and buckle up before turning on the truck. We make it home and get inside the house. I go straight to our room and slide off my work clothes before throwing myself on the bed. Milo undresses and lays beside me.

"You know you can see your friends all the time after school." I begin.

"I will think about it." Milo whispers.

I kiss his cheek after turning to face my baby.

"I love you Koala. I am so damn proud of you." I run my fingers gently thru his hair.

"Batman." Milo whispers.

"Yes, love." I stare into his olive eyes.

"Thank you." Milo caresses my cheek.

"For what, baby?" I ask.

"You're just so supportive. I don't know what I did to deserve you. But, I'm glad I have you." Milo grabs my face and kisses me so tenderly I feel my heart swell.

"I just always knew you were special. Every single day you prove it by being you. I'm the the lucky one." I kiss him back with passion and tenderness.

Milo grabs the tufts of my hair and threads his fingers, digging the tips into my scalp. He presses his body so close to mine that I feel like we're one. Our hearts beat rapidly against one another. His mouth engulfs my lips in a searing, heated, slow burning kiss. His tongue tangles around mine and he pulls me straight into a blissful state of fire.

I dig my hands into his back as I hold him to me. His body feels like lava against my own. Our chests rise and fall together. His breathing hitches and he continues to assault my mouth. It's purely sinful.

I can't fight the need to be one with my Koala at any given chance.

Milo moves skillfully as he plunders my mouth. His hands inch in and out of my hair. His body grasps at my flesh like he's drowning and I am the lone standing pier of safety.

I pull back when oxygen is long overdue. My chest heaves. My lungs burn. My lips tingle and I know how swollen they are.

"Wow." I breathe into each small peck I give him. He lays beside me and lip kisses me continuously. It's absolutely the most intimate I have ever felt. I love every fucking minute of it.

"You are such a blessing." I praise the boy in my arms.

"It can't be healthy to love someone this much." Milo whispers across my face. He lays his cheek against me and just presses our faces together.

"Then we are both dying of the same illness." I chuckle.

"A death worthy of dying." Milo coos. His lashes flutter against my cheek bone. He plants feather soft butterfly kisses on my flesh.

"You know we have company coming." I remind my sweet boy.

"Mmm yeah. Cancel." Milo giggles.

"Don't tempt me." I warn him.

"I'm hungry." Milo groans as his tummy makes loud gurgles into the air.

"Let me feed my Koala." I announce.

I pick Milo up and carry us to the kitchen.

"Turkey clubs?" I ask, hopefully. We need to grocery shop.

"Yes." Milo grins at me. He's so fucking breathtaking. Just stunning.

"Anything for you, baby." I promise.

I set Milo on the counter while I move about getting out the ingredients. Thank God we have microwaveable bacon. I'm not in the mood to flip bacon.

"What do you and Lux plan on doing while Max, Nat, Ky and I go bowling?" Milo asks as he eats the bacon I just cooked.

I pull the bacon from his hands and playfully swat at him.

"He's helping me with a project." I lie convincingly.

"Oh, okay. That sounds boring." Milo shrugs as he lifts his water bottle to his lips.

"You gonna drive?" I ask.

"Could I?" Milo requests of me.

"Baby, it's our truck. You never have to ask." I tsk as I assemble our delicious lunch. Thick Texas toast, tomatoes, bacon, lettuce and sliced cheddar cheese with deli mustard. I pick up a bag of chips and carry our plates to the bar. I pour two glasses of coke and set those down as well.

I grab Milo and spin us around as I carry us to the bar. Milo giggles as I plop him down in the stool.

"Thank you, Batman." Milo says in between bites of Doritos.

"You, my sweet man, are most certainly welcome." I smile at my adorable Koala.

"I have a deal for you." Milo speaks up.

"Oh really? Should I be making deals with someone who pulls my puppet strings?" I smirk.

"Shhhh, let me pitch this." Milo bats his eyelashes.

"You can pitch any time you like." I wink as Milo chokes on his soda.

"Um," Milo blinks the stunned doe eyes away.

"Your deal?" I distract him.

"If I graduate next year, can I get a job?" Milo asks.

"Part time job and college." I negotiate.

"Deal." Milo beams at me with his gorgeous dimples flashing.

"Deal, baby. Anything else?" I ask.

"Well, now that you mention it." Milo laughs.

"Mmmhmmm. What ya got big baller?" I joke.

"We haven't used my stuff that we got from the shop." Milo reminds me.

I grin like a lion.

"Oh, that is a deal for sure." I promise.

There will be nothing more arousing than watching my Koala squirm as I fuck him with his new toys. I can't wait!

But, first I need him to go have fun with his friends so I can plan a huge birthday surprise. I am so excited for what I have in store for the most amazing man in existence.
