***Milo's POV***

Pulling the mail from the box, I immediately notice the weight of the two thick envelopes. Excitedly, I hurry into the house. My fingertips twitch to open the one addressed to me.

"What's that love?" Neko comes from behind the stove where he has been preparing our lunch.

"I'm pretty sure congratulations are in order." I smile brightly towards my husband. Fanning the two envelops in my hands, I walk up to Neko.

I push the mail that is addressed to him into his awaiting hands.

"On three." Neko sends me a gorgeous grin.

"Three." I chirp loudly. The paper tears effortlessly between our fingers. We slide out the letters in companionable silence.

My eyes scan my acceptance letter.

"I got in." My voice cracks. I can hardly believe it.

"Congratulations, Koala. You have earned it." Neko puts his paper to the side. He wraps his fingers under my chin. Pulling me close, he takes a taste of my lips.

I place my hand on his chest, gently pushing him away. I'm eager.

"Did you?" I ask with anticipation.

"Yes Baby. I got in." Neko smiles while nodding his head. Excitement travels through me.

"Congratulations Batman." I jump into his arms. I kiss his whole fucking face. I'm so proud of him.

"Thank you. I'm proud of you, as well. Looks like we are headed to college." Neko spins me briefly. I lay my cheek on his chest.

"Can we celebrate?" I ask softly. This is a milestone. It deserves a memorial.

"How about after lunch we go to the pet store? I recall promising my Koala a puppy." Neko kisses my neck.

"Perfect." I clap my hands. I slide down his form to follow him to the table. Neko plates my lunch. I return my gratitude by blowing him a kiss.

We eat hurriedly. The atmosphere is quiet of words but, the elation of our accomplishment is thick.

Neko pulls me from the house on a mission. Once we are buckled into his truck, he kisses my hand.

"What kind do you want?" Neko sends me a sweet look from the corner of his eye. I think about it before shrugging.

"We will just pick one out. I'm sure we will know when we see him." I haven't really put a lot of thought into it. I have been busy with college applications and employment applications.

"Sounds good." Neko pulls into Harrison's Pet Shop. It's a cool place that houses all different types of animals.

I unbuckle my seat belt. Neko helps me from the truck. I don't need the help. He likes being chivalrous. I love his mannerisms.

We walk into the shop hand in hand.

The sound of barking is like a choir announcing our arrival. I walk straight back to the puppies. I applied for a position here a few days ago. I'm familiar with the layout.

"Koala did you see him?" Neko picks up the most adorable pup I have ever laid eyes on. My fingers go directly to the little dog's chin. I give him a few scratches. He rolls in Neko's arms, exposing his belly.

"Batman." My eyes automatically light up. He has to be the one.

"Found him?" Neko smirks knowingly. I nod my head excitedly.

"Alright. Go pick out the collar, a bed, a kennel and a few toys. I will get the food and start the paperwork." Neko snuggles the puppy. I think I just fell in love with my husband all over again. Oh my god. Adorable!

It takes me a minute. I have to grab a cart. It's overwhelming how mush stuff such a tiny little puppy needs. After gathering Neko's list, I grab a leash. I think we need that. Thinking forward, I decide to eighty six the collar. I don't want puptastic to hurt his neck. I pick out a harness instead. It looks more comfortable anyway.

I walk to the counter where the two loves of my life stand. Yep, I'm already in love with our baby. Eeek!

Neko hands me our love pup. I squish him to my cheek. I kiss his little nose. He does the sweetest thing. He kisses me back. Swoon!

"Take the baby to the car please. I will get everything settled here." Neko leans down. He kisses me before running his hand over the pup's neck.

Our puppy is so damn amazing. He closes his little eyes and falls asleep. I'm just going to gobble this thing up.

I get settled in the truck. I hold my precious cargo gently in my lap. My fingers just won't stop touching him. He's so soft. His face is so angelic.

"Ready to go." Neko gets in the truck. He looks at my hands that are constantly stroking our babe. He chuckles and shakes his head.

"If I would have known how happy this would make you, I would have gotten you one the minute we left the hospital." Neko's eyes shine brightly. I fucking love him. God, he is such a damn gift.

"Thank you." I lean over. I trace my fingertips over his jaw. I can't help myself. I steal a soft kiss. Fuck, this man is my treasure.

"Do you know what we are going to name him?" Neko pulls away from the store. He starts off towards the house.

"I don't. I think we need to think about it." I giggle. My puppy has his little tongue dangling out of his mouth. Tiny snores come from his itty bitty body. His eyes flutter. How can something be so stinking cute?

"You're going to make me jealous." Neko smirks. I continue staring at the ball of love in my lap. I really can't help it.

"You're always going to be number one. I just made a little room for one point five." I bat my eyelashes, because everyone knows my husband is a sucker for my lashes.

"Jesus. You pull out the arsenal." Neko pushes his fingertips into my hair. He pulls me forward. I fall into his shoulder. I don't bother moving. No one would. The man is absolute godly perfection.

Once we finally make it home, I take the baby out of the truck. I let him down in the grass just in case he has business to take care of.

He just lays there. Not moving at all, this half pound puppy looks at me as if I'm an idiot.

I prop my hands on my hips and stare. Isn't he supposed to do this naturally. Grass equals bathroom. I read that everywhere.

"Come on now." I push his little butt with my fingers. He falls forward. His nose hits the grass. He decides to take a fucking nap.

"He's not potty trained love. We have to get him used to it." Neko chuckles. I look at my man like he's lost his damned mind. How am I supposed to train a dog? I don't speak canine.

"I thought that came with the purchase." I scratch my chest. I really am lost. If he was a kid, I would just piss in front of him. That's what Neko did for me. It worked. I'm trained.

"Just get him. We can feed him. Then he will need to go for sure." Neko laughs as I pick up our adorable pup.

Batman grabs all the stuff. My phone goes off. I can't even bother with it for a minute.

"That's Lux and Max. They are heading over." Batman speaks loudly from the cab of the truck.

"Are you shitting me?" I squeal like a girl. Oh hell to the absolute no. I push the puppy out of my chest. Holding him like Simba, I stare at the huge wet spot on my shirt.

Batman's chuckle is boisterous. He doubles over. Our purchases hit the ground. He gasps for breath while laughing.

"Take it back." I all but scream. This little shit. That's what he's doing. In my hands, as I'm holding him, little pebbles slip from underneath his tail. The poo hits the ground at my feet. I'm thinking I might regurgitate.

"Koala, he's a baby." Neko barely gets the words out. He is cackling.

"He's disgusting." My face scrunches. There is feces next to my sandal and piss on my chest. I wasn't made for this. I'm not into this type of bodily fluids.

Neko grabs our stuff. He doesn't quit chuckling. He urges me towards the house. I follow while holding the poop machine out in front of me.

"Alright, go take a shower. I will settle the dog. You are going to have to learn to handle these things. Babies are ten times worse." Neko grabs our doggie. I willingly go to take a shower.

Once I am clean, of all things less than appealing, I go to the living room. Our pup is asleep on his bed. Neko turns his head to check on me. He pats his lap. I walk over and climb on to him.

His fingers find my hair. I nuzzle my face into his neck.

"You smell amazing." Batman kisses my head. I love his kisses.

"Now I do. Ten minutes ago I smelled like a urinal." I roll my eyes. That thing better learn quick.

"You don't love him anymore?" Neko pulls my head back. His smirk tells me he knows the answer already. Of course I do. I nod.

"He will probably do that for a bit. He's really only eight week's old." Neko smiles. I kiss his lips. Batman is always going to be number one. There is no competition.

I grab my phone, remembering it had a notification. The bank sent a text. I open it. I'm not at all impressed.

"Um, husband." My eyes bulge from my head.

"Yes love?" Neko squints his eyes. I turn the phone towards him. I shake it gently. What the actual fuck?

"God damn it. I forgot they send you alerts." Neko shakes his head.

"Did you just spend $1750.00 on our dog?" I feel like I may hyperventilate. That's too much money.

"Well, his stuff too. I would have spent ten thousand if it makes you happy." Neko grabs my phone. He deletes the message before handing it back to me.

"Cash." I draw the word out. I'm exasperated.

"No. I used the credit card. We get rewards." Neko turns his head softly. He doesn't get it.

"No. The puppy's name is Cash. That way I never forget that you spent a fortune on him." I giggle. Neko can be very obtuse.

"Love the name." Neko chuckles.

"Welp, he better learn to fetch beer at that price. Thank you baby. I'm sorry." I lean forward. I wrap my arms around his torso.

"That would be a good trick. Don't be sorry. I wanted to do something nice for us." Neko rubs my back gently. I almost purr. He's genuinely the best.

The front door opens loudly. Our poor pup gets startled. His arms and legs fly out from underneath him. Cash looks around worriedly. I jump from Batman's hold to rescue our puppy.

Swooping him up in my arms, I cuddle him tightly. My kisses cover his tiny head.

"Oh my sweet baby Jesus. That is the fucking cutest. Here. Here. Gimme." Kyle reaches his hands for my baby. I push the pup towards his chest.

"His name is Cash. Be careful. He likes to piss." I warn my friend. One shirt in the washer is enough for today.

"I swear. I have never in my life." Natalie runs over, bypassing me completely.

One by one all four of them sit on the floor touching our new family member. Lux smiles. Max lays on his belly to get eye level with our tiny pup.

"Looks like he is a hit." Neko grabs me by my waist. He pulls me back into his lap.

"Now I'm jealous. I thought they came here to see us." I laugh.

"We did." My friends lie in unison.

"Actions speak louder than words fibbers." I fuck with them all.

"If you think this is bad, wait until it's a human baby." Natalie falls backward dramatically. She smiles while clutching her hands to her heart.

"Let me get used to the puppy." I roll my eyes. I'm glad I'm going to have a little while to find a routine. This puppy is already a huge responsibility.

"You will do great Koala. No stressing." Batman squeezes me.

A life is literally in my hands. Oh, I'm stressing. No way I don't worry about our pup. He needs us.

"Okay. We need to let the baby sleep. We are here for a celebration." Max lays the baby down. Ky tucks Cash's blanket around him. I run over and shove the tiny bear I picked out for him under his belly.

"See. You're perfect." Neko grips my hand. He pulls me to the kitchen so we can have a small party to commemorate us getting into college.
