"So, are you two planning on having a wedding?"

Kobeni Higashiyama was once again seen outside, though this time she was seen walking and spending time with Aki Hayakawa. From the looks of it, they had just finished simple grocery shopping, as evidenced by their full bags. However, most of the items that the Devil Trigger host had were just sweet treats and candy, which she was currently eating, specifically a lollipop.

"Yes, I actually have everything planned out."

Aki was seen looking over his notes on how he wanted to do his wedding, all while also enjoying his lollipop.

"Really?"

Kobeni was now curious to hear what type of plans Hayakawa had for his wedding.

"Yes, first we plan to have it after your birth and when you recover, to make things easier for you."

Aki hums as he edits his schedule to make the wedding time more adaptable and convenient for everyone, including someone like the shape-shifter.

"Oh! So I'm invited?"

Kobeni kinda assumed she would be invited, but she was still happy to know she was included in the wedding.

"Of course, as well as Denji, Power, Kishibe, Makima, and a few others that I know."

Aki nods as he carefully writes the names of people he wants to invite for the wedding.

"Do you plan to make it a big wedding?"

Kobeni couldn't help but wonder if she'll see a Japanese traditional wedding, or maybe something more classical, something you would see in fairy tales.

"I do want to make it special for Himeno, however with my limited time, I don't want to spend too much time on the wedding, since I'm more interested in making sure I cherish whatever I have left with her."

Aki shakes his head, as he realizes he was over thinking about his planning, deciding to just put away his notes and just focus on what was really important.

"I think that's very romantic, I always knew you two had something special, but it's always nice to just see you two finally together~"

Kobeni could barely contain herself with all these loving emotions, just finding the entire thing so wonderful and heartwarming to see.

"Yeah, I just wish I had done it sooner, instead of focusing on my..."

Aki sighed. While he felt happy about marrying Himeno, he couldn't help but wish he had focused on his "Personal Goals" instead, which made him frown. This went unnoticed by Higashiyama.

"I don't know if this will comfort you, but I promise to carry on your burden of revenge."

Kobeni used her free hand to pat and comfort Topknot.

"I will stop at nothing until the Gun Devil is dead, so that you can finally find peace."

Kobeni reassures him that she would pick up what remains of what he left behind, and would do nothing to finish what he started.

"So if you want, you can just focus on nothing but Himeno, and let me, your Captain and Friend, handle everything else for you, ok?"

Kobeni gave him a confident and determined smile, clearly meaning what she said, with no hints of lie or hesitation, much to the Devil Hunter surprise.

"Heh, it's kind of funny to see you act so arrogant and confident for you to actually think you can take on the Gun Devil by yourself."

But Aki then couldn't help but chuckle at all this, specifically with what the Deviltrix host said and the expression she was making.

"I remember the time you were too scared to even handle a Fiend by yourself."

Aki just licks his lollipop as he remembers the time he has known the shape-shifter, before and after her sudden confidence.

"Well, it's not like I'm completely fearless, I mean, I'm still scared of dying, even if I can revive."

Kobeni looks away and licks her lollipop with a shy and embarrassed face.

"But yeah, after getting this Deviltrix 2 months ago, everything just seems less hard these days, so it is difficult to stay my usual meek self anymore."

Kobeni then used her free hand to rub her Deviltrix, once again, appreciating what was given to her and how it changed her entire life.

'I will never stop being thankful towards you, Deviltrix~...'

"I'm not complaining, but I hope all that over-smugness doesn't go to your head."

Aki gave a teasing smile towards Kobeni, who responded with a playful weak punch to his shoulder.

"Shush, hehe~"

Kobeni giggles, as she then takes a bite and finishes up her lollipop, before reaching her bag to eat another candy snack.

"Now, let's get back to the topic of you and Himeno."

Kobeni, while eating her next batch of candy, looks at Hayakawa with a smirk.

"Like for example, are you two planning to have any kids?~"

As soon as Kobeni mentioned the idea of both Topknot and his soon to be wife having "Kids", well, it was his turn to be embarrassed.

"I... Would need to discuss this with Himeno first..."

As Aki started to think deeply about the many pros and cons of having children with Himeno, Kobeni couldn't help but show a hidden frown, as she was still rubbing her Deviltrix and was now deep in thought.

'Can... Can I possibly save Aki?...'

I hope you don't mind these recent shorter chapters, we're just at the stage of "Calm" and "Peace", so not a lot to write, but don't worry, we'll probably see more action soon in the future.

(BTW yes both Aki and Himeno plan to have at least one kid next year or so)
