"Hehe~"

In the middle of a random forest, somewhat far away from the public, two certain figures could be seen together, playing on top of the grass and messing with flowers. One of them seemed to be a young child girl, she was the one currently making a crown out of flowers. As for the second person, well, it was technically not a person at all. It was more accurate to call it a worm made from living flesh. Though in actuality, it was a Devil. But for some reason, it wasn't attacking the child and killing her, which was something that definitely surprised Denji.

"Huh?"

Though as Denji was trying to understand what he was witnessing, both the child and the Devil noticed him, much to their shock.

"Oh please! Let This Devil Go!"

And after spotting the Devil Human, the child quickly moved and stood in front of the Devil, as if protecting it.

"Wait, what?"

Though this only confused Denji even more so, clearly wasn't expecting someone to defend a Devil.

"My Daddy... When he's having a bad day, he beats me..."

However, it didn't take long for the Hybrid to understand why the child was doing such a thing, as she softly explained her reasoning to him.

"And when he was beating me today, this nice Devil saved me."

The child looks back at her so-called Devil friend, who purrs and nuzzles against her like a friendly creature.

"So Please Don't Kill Him!"

Seeing this child made the blonde very conflicted. Not because he didn't understand what the girl was talking about, but how much he relates to her so very much was enough to make him hesitant on what to do.

'Pochita...'

Though once the memories of a certain orange chainsaw dog Devil flooded Denji's mind, he finally made up his mind on what he should do.

"Hey, I know a safe place you both can stay at."

And with that final decision made, Denji suddenly made an offer that caught both the child and Devil's attention.

"W-What?"

The child went eyes wide in disbelief.

"I was buddies with a Devil too... So I know that there are some good Devil's out there..."

Denji admits his empathy and sympathy to the child, sharing his own experiences with her and how he supported her.

"So what do you say? Want me to help you both survive and live a happier life?"

And it was because of these personal feelings that Denji wanted to offer the two a chance to be together happily without outside pain and interference from others.

"C-Can we?"

The child looked up to Devil Human hopefully.

"We Totally Can!~"

Denji responded with a big silly smile on his face, and the child returned with a bright smile as she grabbed his hands and jumped up and down excitedly, no doubt very happy.

"Yay! Hahahahah!~"

"Y-Yeah, heheh..."

But a moment later, what was once something harmless and even cute between the child and Denji, had suddenly turned into something that resulted in the Hybrid being held up in the air by the Devil he was trying to save.

"Huh?"

Denji was once again very confused on what was happening, which just made the Devil laugh out loudly.

"Hah! I Win!~"

The once innocent Devil has suddenly turned into someone very cruel and evil.

"W-What The Hell Is This?!"

This made Denji, no doubt, feel very betrayed and angry, as he struggles to fight back or even just escape the grasp of the Devil's grip.

"Let me show you something cool before you die~"

Not only did the Devil mock and refuse to let the blonde go, but it then forced and painfully broke his arms, by making and controlling his muscles to move in an unnatural and impossible way, which definitely made him scream in agony.

"I'm the Muscle Devil, do you know what that means?~"

The Devil, specifically the Muscle Devil, just continues to laugh evilly and enjoy all the suffering he was causing to the Devil Human.

"It means I can control any muscle I'm touching!~"

As if to prove what the Muscle Devil was saying, it moved its head and revealed what it was currently doing to the child, which made the Hybrid go wide-eyed to see the little girl have her entire body be forcefully controlled and move very unnaturally by the Muscle Devil once it took over all of her muscles in her body.

"Hehe, I'm gonna have fun with this female brat now, you can just sit there and watch ok?~"

The Muscle Devil just continues to laugh loudly as if it were victorious, as the blonde was forced to watch the child being used and tortured by the Muscle Devil, she was even starting to let out tears as her face tensed and bulged from all of her moving muscles.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-ACK!"

Unfortunately for the Muscle Devil though, before it could continue its terrible torture, it suddenly yelled out in pain, which definitely caught all three of their attention, as they all looked and saw paper bandages suddenly pierce into the body of the Muscle Devil, which definitely confused it, though before it could do or say anything about it, over a dozen or hundred more bandages came out of all directions of the area they were in, all taking the forms with drill tips and stabbed through all over the Muscle Devil's body, while also wrapping around its figure, this not only caused it more pain, but also restricted all of its movements and prevented it from escaping at all from its binds of suffering, this also served as a distraction, as the Muscle Devil was more focused with its situation to even notice that it was losing a hold and grip on the Devil Human and the child, which a few more bandages took the chance to snatch away the child and away from the Muscle Devil.

"Now Denji!"

And while the Muscle Devil and child could either be confused or scared about what was happening, only the Hybrid knew what was going on, as he looked up and saw Kobeni Higashiyama, who was currently in her mummy-looking transformation known as "Miira", she was currently holding back the Muscle Devil and protecting the child with her wrappings, which made him smile to have her help, it no doubt made him feel happy to have someone look after him.

"I'm so glad you're such a low life..."

With newfound confidence and motivation, Denji stood back up, using his broken arms to lift the string from his chest and towards his mouth.

"It means I won't regret killing you..."

The last thing that the Muscle Devil was able to witness was Denji smirking at it, before he pulled the string, and could only see and hear the spinning blades of a chainsaw ripping flesh and most definitely muscle.

"Are you ok Denji?"

After all was said and done, Miira, who was carrying the nearly dead torn apart body of the Muscle Devil, wrapped and sealed away in her bandages, and Denji, who was carrying the unconscious child, using his shirt to cover the little girl up, both were currently walking out of the woods, no doubt a job well done and were most likely returning home, after dropping off the child and the Muscle Devil.

"I'm fine..."

Though as the Mummy Kobeni tried to make sure that Denji was doing OK, he could only reply with a half-hearted and somewhat depressed tone in his voice and face.

"Um..."

Miira couldn't help but worry more, as she was trying to figure out how to deal with these kinds of situations she found herself in.

"Denji, I just... I just want to let you know that I'm here for you."

After a moment of deep thinking, Miira decided to go with the flow and just comfort her upset blonde partner.

"Not because I'm your Squad Leader or Partner, but because I'm your friend."

It seems that Miira's supportive words must've reached the Devil Human, as he glanced at her with a small smile on his face.

"I'm your friend?"

But when Denji asked this question, the Transformed Higashiyama, if it was possible, couldn't help but blush brightly in embarrassment.

"U-Unless I'm Overstepping! I-I Am Also OK With Just Being Acquainted!"

Mira immediately started to panic, as she worried that she was crossing a line with the Hybrid, who couldn't help but laugh in response to her overreaction.

"No, I like the thoughts of being friends."

Once Denji was able to reassure Collared Creature with his words, she was able to calm down and let out a sigh of relief.

"A-Alright, if you're comfortable with that."

With nothing more being said, both Miira and her blonde partner continued to walk out of the forest in silence, enjoying the peace that came with it.

"... Do you think Pochita is still alive?"

Though the peace didn't last long, as Denji suddenly said something to the Mummy Kobeni that broke the moment of quietness.

"Huh?"

Miira was caught a bit off guard, clearly not expecting her Devil friend to say such a thing to her.

"Pochita, he was my Devil friend, and the one who gave me his heart."

Denji continues to talk, holding up the string attached to his chest, wearing a deep frown as tears slowly form in his eyes while looking at it.

"I was... I was just wondering if he's still alive in here..."

But before a single drop could fall from Denji's eyes, a single strand of bandage carefully reached his face and wiped away the tears.

"Well, I like to think so?"

Once Miira used her bandages to clean her Hybrid colleague tears, she was able to say something that made him look up to her with wide eyes.

"Really?!"

Denji couldn't help but suddenly feel hopeful about what the Transformed Higashiyama said, which once again made her feel anxious to see him look at her that way.

"I-I mean, you made a contract with the Devil, right? T-The contract can't really work if the Devil is dead, a-and seeing how you can use your, um, chainsaw thingy-"

But Miira was still able to explain her reason for saying what she said to him, and the more she explained, the clearer her blonde partner was able to piece together the puzzle given to him.

"H-He's still alive..."

After finally realizing this, Denji couldn't help but look back at his string, as depression was replaced with relief and happiness, as the knowledge for Pochita being alive in his heart was enough to make him have a more relax smile on his face, which the Collared Creature was also able to feel more calm after seeing this, unfortunately such a touching moment was suddenly interrupted by the sound of a certain someone growling stomach, much to the Devil Human embarrassment as the Mummy Kobeni giggles softly at this.

"Once we drop her off, wanna get something to eat with me? I know a Ramen place I like to eat at after work."

When Miira offered to eat out with her Hybrid colleague, he didn't hesitate to look at her with excitement and quickly nodded happily.

"I would like that!~"

Kobeni giggled again as both she and Denji continued to leave the forest area, so that they could drop off the child and Muscle Devil, and then go out to eat together, like the close "Friends" they were.

'You're getting closer to your dreams, Denji~...'

I feel like Power and Aki should get something, I mean I plan to give Makima Ship and Kobeni already has the Deviltrix, but I'm not sure what to give the other two, maybe Power could drink the blood of Aliens and temporarily get their powers, but I'm not sure, while Aki Gun Devil form could make bullets from Alien DNA, maybe?.

(WEIRD QUEST! Should Kobeni be unique? What I mean is, should there only be 1 Kobeni in the Ben 10 Omniverse that has the Omnitrix? Or should there be more AU with Kobeni having the Omnitrix, or something, hm?)
