He doesn't know what's going on, panick raises inside of him as he sees equipment around him, his legs and arms are cuffed on the metal table except for his right arm that is mangled and he can't move it or it hurts if he tried.

He soon sees a human, a fat mustache human which panick him more, just seeing the presence of a human terrified him.

"ah, your awake...well I don't have anything to put you to sleep or ease your pain so you have to deal with the surgery..." said the human that is just shrugging it off which made Y/N panick more.

'surgery? Surgery for what?!' he thought, scared and afraid.

You knew your here for a long time...but this human isn't the reason why your afraid...your scared of all humans, you know what they did, you know what those humans did.

Your eyes widen when the human pulls out something sharp making Y/N tried to struggle to get out, but everytime you struggled the cuffs tighten around your arm and legs.

"now stay still brat" you heard the human and you went pale when you saw what his ganna do.

N/N run his fingers through his robotic arm...he doesn't remember what happened after the pain he felt...he just remembered the surgery but he doesn't know why his afraid of humans, why his so...terrified.

But he just think the surgery is for his own good...after all Dr. Eggman replaced his bad arm to a better one...a robotic arm, though he does get headaches lately but he didn't tell Eggman about it because well he doesn't want to, and plus he doesn't even bother to asked so why would he even bother telling him?

He just closses his eyes, he can't feel his right arm...it felt cold unlike his left arm, where he can feel it, his fur, and the glove his wearing until it reaches to his fingers.

He open his eyes slightly and look towards his shoulder a bit seeing the bat still there spying on him, he wondered how long she can keep this up.

Doesn't matter, she can watch all she can but she isn't ganna get anything from him.

Soon the metal soor slide open making him look and sees the red small bot entering.

"hello N/N Dr. Eggman wanted to see you" said Orbot as the echidna just stared but nodded in respond.

Orbot just took it and left him alone now, N/N take a deep sigh as he stand up and start stretching his arm and legs.

After he felt satisfied he walked towards the door and left, he can hear the bat follow him as the metal door closes.

He sometimes wonder why Eggman's security sucks.

N/N arrived seeing the human as the echidna just stood there, listening what the human have to say.

"I have to say N/N...i am very impressed on how you do on your missions and completing them too with no problem" said Eggman as the echidna just stared.

It seems like Eggman is just praising him...then what's the point of this?

"however..." he started making N/N tensed a bit focusing on what Eggman have to say.

"i have another mission for you, I've located another chaos energy signal right over here" he said as a hologram of a map appeared and N/N look sees Eggman pointing at the location with his gloved hand.

"but it seems to be different than before...two emeralds this time close to eachother and i want you retrieve them for me" Eggman said, in the hologram map there's two red dots but close to eachother, one of the dots seem to be moving slowly meaning someone have the other chaos emerald.

N/N only nodded in respond making Eggman smirked.

"excellent, now go" he commanded which N/N turn around and walked off, the bat stared at Eggman before looking at the A/C echidna and follow him.

N/N continues to walked in the woods following where the map pointed the first emerald, he soon heard rustling above making some leaves fell slightly.

N/N look annoyed by this spying she's been doing.

"i already know your there...you don't have to hide brat" said N/N making Rough blink.

She still keeps her place and see if his just testing or not.

When N/N saw Rough didn't came out he roll his eyes and look where exactly she is making her blink in suprised.

"well didn't think you'd found it out" she said with a smile as N/N rolled his eyes once again.

"i already know ever since when you 'leave' me alone" he said with clear sarcastic as Rough blink, soon she realized what he meant.

"wait you-"

"yes i already know even when you sneak inside of the base, i have to say I'm ganna tell Dr. Eggman to upgrade his security system" he said as he start to walk.

"hey wait you don't dare tell him anything!" she said as she start to catch up to him.

"and why not?" he asked as turn to look at her with a blank expression and raised brow, still holding the radar that is beeping like a heart monitor.

"well of course i don't want to get caught" she said while she crossed her arms as the echidna just stared at her.

"say if you don't tell Eggman that i sneak inside his base then maybe i can give you a present~" she said in a flirty tone as she approuch him with a smile.

The echidna just stared at her as they have a eye contact and silence filled the air.

"..."

" keep your present to yourself" he said Turning around and walked off with no interest which stunned her.

"wha- hey!" she said going after her she was about to say something but N/N stops her using his hand which made her blink.

She look over where his looking at and sees him starring at the rabbit child holding a white chaos emerald.

Rough recognized who this child is but N/N on the other hand narrowed his eyes.

"who the f*ck leave their own child in a middle of a forest?" the echidna asked making the bat to look at him then smirked.

"aww, you care for her aren't you?" she said in a teasing tone as he look at her with a blank expression.

"I'm not heartless you moron" he said making Rough blink, usually when she is teasing Knuckles he would immediately feel emberrased and denies it but to N/N...he just accept it.

The bat soon sees the echidna approuch the child, the rabbit heared him as she look over and sees the A/C echidna walking towards her.

N/N soon stops as he look at her and the child look back.

Both of them stared for few seconds, N/N open his mouth to speak but the child beat him to it first.

"Mr Knuckles?" she asked while titled her head to the side stopping N/N and closing his mouth with his eyes slightly widen.

He soon calmed down a bit and shakes his head.

"no...i'm not Mr Knuckles..child" he said not really use talking to innocent children such as this girl here.

"oh I'm sorry Mr" she said apologizing as N/N blink feeling awkwardness about the situation, Rough on the other hand is enjoying the scene infront of her.

"uh..it's fine don't apologize" he said he look over seeing the white chaos emerald on her hold.

"...child may i-"

"would you come and play with me and my friend?" the child interupt him causing him to look at her and blink.

The little girl look at her with a smile waiting for a respond, the echidna wanted to say no but...seeing her smile make him feel..weird..

For some reason...her smile remind him of something...or someone

"c'mon! Play with me!"

N/N is silent for a moment about to open his mouth to denied the request and take the emerald then go back to the base.

"but i want to-"

"you promise me didn't you?"

N/N stop himself, feeling his chest tighten...

What is this feeling? Why can't he say no?....something is preventing him to do it..or is it himself?

N/N is confused but soon he sees himself not starring at the little girl anymore...but a echidna child is infront of him instead.

"you promised me...right?"

N/N can't move, his eyes focused on the child infront of him, femilliarity came to him yet...he doesn't know who this is...but whatever this child is making him feel...panick...

Purple eyes still focused on the child infront of him, until his head start to hurt.

"Y-Y/N!" a child screamed full of fear, he tried to reach for his twin only for a black figure to step infront of him.

His eyes widen with his pupils shrunk, feeling panick and fear raises inside.

The black figure start to approuch him as he take a step back, he look back at his brother seeing him with eyes wide full of worry and concern.

His eyes look around, feeling trepidation and finally sees his father still trying to fight them off and his mother still have the injury desperate to reach both of them.

He flinched again when he heard another step making his eyes stared back at the black figure infront of him, starring at him with emptiness.

He soon start to feel tears gathering around his eyes, terrified for his life.

The black figure raises with something in his hands, his eyes soon widen in terror feeling his heart beating faster.

"Y/N!"

BANG

"Mr?"

N/N quickly snapped out of it panting quite heavily as the little girl look at him with worry, he soon flinched when he felt a hand rubbing his back gently.

He look and sees the bat beside him rubbing his back with concern is seen in her face.

"you alright hun? You look like your having a panick attack for a second there" She said at him as he just stared at her bewildered.

He soon put a hand on his forehead before nodding slightly.

"...i'm fine..." he said in his usual tone starring at the grassy ground.

He felt some warm embrace, he look and sees the child hugging him, he blink in confusion as he raise a brow.

The child lift her head and sees him looking at her confused.

"you look like you need a hug.." she said with sadden in her voice, he stared at her as his expression soften, he slowly wrap his arms around her still isn't use to this affection.

The child smiled and burried her face to his chest tighten her hug a bit, it made N/N flinched slightly but soon calmed down...he doesn't know what is the purpose of this but..it felt...nice...

He closed his eyes letting the child hug him accepting the embrace.

Rough on the other hand watch this scene as she softly smile.

"heh...softie" she said watching the echidna and rabbit child hugged eachother for comfort.

"it's like this Mr N/N" Cream said as she teach N/N on making flowercrown, they stayed there a bit longer after N/N agreed to play with her, knowing her name and her friend which is actually a chao.

Rough giggled slightly when she saw N/N's very serious face on making the flowercrown like his doing something very serious.

"there you did it Mr N/N!" Cream said happily as Cheese cheered, Rough smiled as she closed her eyes relaxing herself.

That is until she felt something placed around her head, she open her eyes and sees N/N walked away from her making her blink confusion.

She touch what the echidna put on her only to feel the soft leaf making her stop.

...did he put the flowercrown on her head..?

She blink and touch around further feeling the soft flowers and leaves of the flowercrown N/N just made.

She sit there processing until a blush came to her muzzle, she look over and sees Cream putting a flower bracelet on N/N while N/N observed.

She watches them making a smile came to her muzzle.

"heh, softie" she said to herself...he might be mean to her...but he still have a heart.
