Few moments earlier / Before Knuckles wake up.....

The door slammed open revealing it to be Shadow, Sonic and Rouge.

"what's going on?" Shadow said in a dark tone, Mighty raises his hand for Shadow signalling him to wait.

Shadow glared at him but sit on the couch and crossed his arms, Sonic and Rouge entered.

"Mighty, what's wrong with N/N?" Sonic asked, he look around and saw everyone is here, Mighty sighs.

"i have a feeling...Sonic, Tails said that you went to the Angel Island.....is the Echidna Brothers there?" he asked as Sonic blink and look at Rouge and Shadow, he then look at Mighty and shakes his head.

"no, i didn't see anyone...well except for Shadow his been there for who knows how long then Rouge arrived but no echidnas" he said as Mighty turn his attention to Shadow, only to receive Shadow shaking his head, meaning he didn't see the echidnas when he arrived.

Mighty felt his chest tighten as he closed his eyes.

"i knew it...something bad happened to Knuckles and N/N.." He said as Vector turn to him.

"and how are you sure about that?" He asked as Mighty stared at them.

"his flicky..." he answered which he got confused faces looking at him.

"his flicky?" Amy asked as Mighty nodded.

"his flicky flew to me...all panicking and stress..it was pulling my arm...as if it wants me to follow it" he said as he look at his arms seeing the looking very stressed blue flicky.

"are you sure about this? What if it's just a different flicky?" Rouge asked as Mighty turn to her.

"N/N's flicky have a bandaged wing...when he find the flicky i was there he bandaged it because it's wing is broken..." he said as Sonic raised a brow.

"then how did it flew towards you if it's wing is broken?" Sonic asked only to earn a deep sigh from Mighty.

"because that happened few days ago" he said to him with slight annoyance, Sonic blink but nodded.

"alright but if the echidnas are really in trouble how do we find them?" Espio asked as Mighty turn to them...he then look at N/N's flicky.

"you've gotta be kidding me..." Shadow said as his starring at Eggman's base.

"okay now i know why we should be worried" Ray said, apparently N/N's flicky lead them to this base when Mighty told it to fly where N/N was.

"c'mon it's just Eggman, what harm could he possibly do?" Sonic asked as he sees them all stared at him with a unimpressed look.

Then couple of memories of Eggman almost destroying the planet, releasing the dark gaia, corrupting the timeline and many more...Sonic sweatdropped and sigh.

"..yeah your right.. " he said as Espio just sigh.

"well we can't just sit here... " he said as Tails raised his hand.

"I'll hack his security system so that you all can enter with no problem" he said as they nodded.

"alright team...objective:Save the Brothers!"

Tails is hacking the security system as he keeps on typing on his yellow small laptop.

The others waited until Tails signaled them to go in, and so they all went in.

" let's all go in different groups, split up!" Sonic ordered them as they all obeyed and went in different groups.

Shadow & Rough

Shadow skate off as Rough followed behind by flying, flapping her wings.

They both check every room and all but still no sign of N/N or Knuckles.

Rough stared at Shadow as she fake cough.

"so...you like N/N?" she asked as Shadow is silent for a while.

"...yes" he replied as she blinked in suprised.

'that's straightforward..' she thought but she focuse on where she flying at.

"what change? I thought your heart is like a stone~" she said teasing him a bit but she felt jealous.

"you don't need to know" he replied again in his usual tone.

"after all..." he continued which made Rough to look at him confused.

"...you also like him as well.." he said as she blink in suprised and blushed slightly.

"of course i do, his the most handsome Mobian i have ever seen, he also have muscles i can't get enough of, his beautiful Amethyst eyes his gorgeous A/C fur, his-" Rough continued to rumbling about N/N as her blush grew more as she talk about him, she even start to day dreamed about him not noticing a very pissed off black hedgehog.

Rouge continued remembering every features N/N have, she then remembered a certain memory that she treasured it the most.

" that's enough! " Shadow yelled at her snapping her back from her little flashback, she she blink then smirk.

"oh?~ is the Mr. Emohog jealous?~" she said with a smirk as Shadow turn over his shoulder and glared at her.

"shut your mouth bat...and you don't deserve him" he said which made Rough dramatically gasp.

"of course i deserve him i-"

"because only I can have him" he interrupted her as he darkly smirk at her and skate off leaving her, she blink as she look mad.

"get back here!" he said as she flew faster.

Shadow smirked as he now think about it...

N/N is the one other than Sonic to even manage to bring him down...even though bis not that fast his skills are swift and unpredictable.

The time when N/N sit on him like that...

It made his heart beat faster than before, his muzzle becomes red remembering that.

He smirked, next time...he'll be the top...

Shadow quickly dodge a blast heading on his way, his stopped Rouge as she look confused but went serious as they both look around on who attacked Shadow.

They then see someone infront of them, Shadow and Rouge glared at it, Shadow went into fighting position as Rouge landed and take a stance...

Chaotix

Charmy flew through the halls as Vector and Espio followed, Charmy is a fast flyer just second behind Tails so his in the lead.

"oh! Oh! Over here!" Charmy said as he flew in the room.

"Charmy! Don't go any mysterious room without us!" Vector said going inside the room for Charmy to scold him, Espio sigh as he went in.

He sees Vector and Charmy but Vector isn't scolding him as always...their just...standing there, Espio raised a brow.

"hey, why are you guys-" Espio stopped in his sentence as his eyes widen and his pupils shrink.

They can't move because of what they just see...it...it was...

Espio open his mouth trying to say the word...he force himself to say it...

"What the h3ll is this...?"

Amy & Mighty|Ray

"you better tell us now!" Amy angrily said a she threatened Cubot that is just walking around.

"I-I I can't!" The yellow bot said in fear trembling.

"alright, you asked for this!" She yelled as she raised her hammer making the small bot panick more.

But then she stopped when someone grab the end of her hammer, she look and sees Mighty.

"hey! What's that for?!" she yelled at him as Mighty just sigh, Ray sweatdropped watching this.

"you know this won't work if you keep threatening it" Mighty said grabbing her hammer away in just one swoop.

"hey! My hammer!" She said as she pouted Mighty sigh once again, he turn his attention to the yellow bot as the yellow bot trembled.

"...can you tell us where N/N is?" he asked calmly than Amy.

The yellow bot is silent for a while before pointing at the other direction of the hallway.

Mighty smiled and drop the hammer which Amy immediately went for it.

"thank you" he said as he run off and Ray followed.

"hey! Wait!" Amy yelled as she run after the both of them, Cubot stayed there at the ground feeling nervous.

"i just hope they won't destroy the base...who am i kidding? They probably will" it said as it take a deep sigh, decided to stay on the ground for a while.

They keep running as they soon reach a closed metal doors.

"leave this to me!" Amy yelled raising her hammer in the air, then in just one swing the metal door burst open as smoke came out.

It revealed to be Amy, Mighty and Ray as they all entered.

"N/N! where are..." Mighty stopped as his eyes widen of what his seeing, Ray take a stepped back his eyes widen in shock, Amy cover her mouth with her hand their all just stunned to see what's infront of them...

"...N/N..?"

Sonic & Tails

Sonic took a sharp turn as Tails followed spinning his two tails for speed.

Sonic keeps going until Tails saw something in his gadget.

"wait Sonic stop!" he said as Sonic immediately stopped and went back to Tails.

"what's up?" he asked as Tails look at his gadget and approuch every metal doors.

Sonic raised a brow as he sees Tails approuch the other metal door, his ears perked up as he smiled.

"Sonic, bust us in!" he said pointing at the metal door.

Sonic blink but shrugs as he went into spindash form and start to spin, Tails took a step back as Sonic launched himself straight towards the metal door destroying it.

When it's well open Tails entered inside as Sonic unrolled himself.

"so what's in this room anyway?" Sonic asked as Tails keep looking at his gadget until he stopped when he saw a metal capsule infront of him, he blink as he touch it but immediately take his hand back.

"AH! That's hot" Tails said as Sonic walk over seeing the metal capsule.

"my tracker sense a chaos energy in there, someone is inside of it!" Tails said as Sonic smirk.

"no problemo! I'll just-"

"Sonic no! That capsule is very hot it might burn you more" Tails said grabbing Sonic's arm to stop him from using spindash.

"then what are we ganna do then?" Sonic asked as Tails look around, he sees a console as he put his gadget inside of his bag that he brought with and went over to the console.

Sonic blink as he watch him pushing buttons, then they heard some noise looking over and sees the metal capsule opening as hot smoke came out of it.

Then someone fell off it as Sonic tried to clear the smokes away and look who it is, when the smokes clared his eyes widen seeing who it was.

"KNUCKLES?!" Sonic said in suprised as Tails quickly went over to Knuckles, he touch his arm and felt his temperature is very hot, not to mention his very sweaty.

"this is bad, good thing i brought a bag" he said as he dig through his bag, Sonic went over looking worried as he look at Knuckles.

"what's wrong with him?" Sonic asked as Tails pulled out a tumbler.

"his getting hydrated, his been stuck on that capsule and slowly heating him up, in other words Eggman is killing Knuckles by hydration" Tails said with seriousness as Sonic's eyes widen.

When Knuckle's body slowly cool down, Tails put two fingers on his neck and stayed there for a bit before laying his head to his chest to hear his heartbeat.

"alright his still alive..barely.." Tails said as Sonic is silent.

Tails open the tumbler as he gently put it in Knuckle's lips as cold water went through his mouth.

"Sonic can you get some towel from my bag?" Tails ask as Sonic nodded, grabbing Tails's bag and pulled out a towel.

He handed it over to him as Tails thank him and start to wipe Knuckles to get the sweat off him.

Tails sighs in relief seeing Knuckle's temperature slolwy go back to normal.

"...Eggman is...taking it too far..." Sonic said as Tails stared at him.

"Eggman take things too far...we're just use to it that we never even knew he take things step farther..." Tails said as he stared at Knuckles.

Sonic heared his communication device making some noise.

"it's probably the others, hold on" He said as he take the device out of his quills and answered it.

"what's the news?..wait Mighty slow down...Mighty are you alright? Mighty!....danmit" Sonic said as Tails look at him with worry.

"Tails stay here with him, Mighty needs my help" He said as Tails blink.

"wait! Sonic..."Tails said but he saw him run off the room, he then sigh, he look at Knuckles for a while his worried...no...his concern..

Present...

Knuckles take a deep sigh, knowing Sonic is probably fighting Eggman right now.

Knuckles stand up which made Tails perked up.

"hey wait, what are you doing?" Tails asked as Knuckles stared at him.

"going to help that Hedgehog, and plus the others might have also met up with him, let's go" he said as he run off Tails was about to say something but stopped, he let out a sigh as he just followed.

They keep going running through the halls.

Knuckles try to sense them using his Chaos Sense but stopped when he felt a huge amount of dark Chaos Energy just up ahead.

He felt a bad feeling but soon they reach a busted metal door.

Knuckles signaled Tails to stay behind him as Tails nodded and went closer behind.

Knuckles glared at the metal door as he slowly entered.

When he stepped inside, he look around the room...

His eyes immediately widen, Tails look taking a peek as his eyes widen of what his seeing.

They saw them, Shadow...Rouge...Amy...all of them in that room, all injured and unconscious, Knuckles furrowed his brows

"Ah...the other twin came just in time" they heard Eggman as they look and sees him sitting from above, Knuckles growled.

"you bastard, what did you do?!" Knuckles yelled angrily at the doctor.

The doctor only smirked.

"well why don't you ask...him..?" he said pointing over as they look where his pointing at, soon someone stepped out from the dark walking in slow phase.

They stared at him for a while...until they went pale when they recognized who it is, Knuckles have his pupils shrink like dots knowing who it is.

"N...Y/N...?"
