The room is silent, Knuckles is sitting in a chair, leaning back with his arms crossed starring at the A/C echidna that is sitting on the bed petting the blue flicky gently.

Knuckles stared at the echidna for a while before letting out a small sigh.

"why won't you talk?" Knuckles asked but N/N didn't answer, he have his focuse on the flicky but Knuckles knew his listening.

After N/N calmed down earlier Charmy return the blue flicky and he did take a good care of it which made N/N very glad, Knuckles told the others that him and N/N will have some talk dragging the A/C echidna back in the room while the others follow but Knuckles threatened the others to not disturb them before closing the door right infront of their faces.

Rough is much annoyed by it because she came to visit and only for a door shut infront of her face.

Knuckles doesn't really care about her right now, his main focuse is N/N...his twin brother.

N/N still haven't spoke, keeping the flicky on his hold gently watching the flicky snuggled to him letting out happy chirps...N/N's expression is...unreadable.

Knuckles stared at him, but it seems like he isn't ganna respond so he let out a sigh.

Both brothers are silent, none of them speaking.

"...i remember the time you slipped and fell in the lake " Knuckles suddenly spoke, N/N look at him in a question look.

Knuckles let out a crack smile as the memory repeated in his head.

"you were chasing the chao, but you slipped and fell on the lake splashing yourself, you were trying not to cry" he said with a slight smile as N/N raised a brow.

N/N doesn't remember it, he doesn't remember chasing a chao thing or the lake.

Knuckles noticed N/N's expression as his smile slightly drop.

"...don't worry..you'll remember soon..." he said as he slightly look away.

N/N is silent, Knuckles let out a another sigh.

He wants to have a moment with his brother since well he reunited with him again after 13 years...yet why does it feel that his so...distant from him?

Back then they would argue almost everything but help eachother out, making everything competitive for fun, laughing and play together...

"you might know him...but remember Echidna you both haven't seen eachother for years...alot have change since you last saw him.."

Knuckles stopped remembering what Shadow told him, he felt his chest got tight remembering the black hedgehog's words.

He look at N/N seeing him petting the flicky with a blank expression.

"he might not be the same Echidna you last remembered..."

Shadow's voice echoes in Knuckle's mind, Knuckles let out a frustrating sigh holding the side of his head, he look troubled.

N/N heard his frustrated sigh, making him look over to see what's up.

He sees Knuckles still in his seat but he look...stressed out with his hand on the side of his head.

N/N stared at Knuckles.

For some reason he doesn't like seeing Knuckles this way.

Eggman have told him to stay away from them and don't talk to them, so he tried his best to do what Eggman wanted.

But this time N/N doesn't like it.

N/N is in deep thought, he wanted to say something but everytime he tried Eggman's words repeated inside of his head.

"these three are the ones you should stay away from...make sure you stay away from any of them"

N/N bit his bottom lip, he doesn't know what to do.

He felt like his force to pick a decision here.

Knuckles is in deep think, he tried to remember how N/N and him got seperated but so for he remembered none.

All he remembered is running away with their parents from something then a loud gunshot is heard.

It made Knuckles all frustrated.

"how?"

Knuckles stop hearing a voice, he look where it came from only to see N/N starring at him.

"...how...did i fell..in the lake..?" N/N asked in a low tone.

Knuckles blink trying to process what he just heard, when it click his eyes widen in shock.

" y..you.." he stop himself and decided to put the questions aside, right now this might be his chance.

His chance to have a moment with his brother.

"...we we're visiting the chao garden with our mother" he said with a smile.

N/N immediately stop hearing the word "mother" it give him a feel of..comfort..?

He doesn't know why but hearing it made him feel comfortable...it confuses him but continued to listen.

"our father wasn't there at that time because I think his with the other warriors i think" he said putting a hand on his chin.

Now the word "father" hit differently on N/N he felt..secure hearing that word...like whoever "father" is made him feel...safe..

Curious start to took over N/N as he listened carefully on what his twin is saying.

"our mother took us to the chao garden to help her picking some fruits, as well taking care of the chaos there...and well you and the chao are playing a game I'm guessing" said Knuckles as he let out a chuckle remembering the memory.

"then the next thing i knew i heard a loud splash right behind me and when i take a look i saw you very wet and sitting on the lake, you were trying not to cry and mother came in time to check up on you" Knuckles give a goofy smile trying to keep his laugh in, N/N blink and titled his head.

He doesn't remember anything of it at al-

"My baby! What happened?! Are you hurt?"

N/N stopped when he heard a female voice in his head...or more accurately remembering the voice...

"m-ma..ma.."

N/N's breathing hunches feeling his chest start to beat a bit faster, hearing a child like voice...bit similar to his...

"that's when we found out your fear of water, after that you were so careful with your steps" Knuckles said letting out a chuckle.

"...what..was mother and father..?" N/N asked making Knuckles stop and look at him.

He sees N/N starring at him with curiosity and interest.

He stared at him for a while before a small smile came across his muzzle.

"...well..I'll tell you...i don't remember much about them...but their the best mobians we ever have.."

"ugh! This frustrate me!" Rough said as Sonic sweatdropped then let out a sigh.

"Rough, let them have their talk and plus it's Knuckle's brother they should have their own moment" Sonic said as Rough look the other way.

"well why are they taking so long? They've been there for 10 hours!" she said, well she isn't wrong.

Earlier Mighty and Ray came to visit only to hear Knuckles having a talk with N/N so he said they'll wait, that was 5 hours ago then Shadow came and asked for N/N and told him the same thing and Shadow said he'll come back later and that was 3 hours ago and now 2 hours passed the door still isn't open.

None of them knew why they took so long but as the first one to arrived Rough is very impatient

"what are they even doing in there?!"

Knuckles is showing N/N their family painting that he found in his old house.

Knuckles point each echidna present in the painting telling him who was who.

Even though the painting is old and blur N/N still sees this painting as a treasure, seeing what he was back then especially what his parents look like.

"father look tall.." he commented starring at the dark red male echidna, it made Knuckles laugh but he keep it in.

"haha, yea he is very tall but his very strong" he said as N/N then look at the lighter red female echidna.

"...mother look...pretty.."he said as Knuckles look and sees what N/N is looking at, it made Knuckles smile.

" mhm...she is the best.. "he said, even though he doesn't remember much about them, those small memories of his parents are still important to him knowing their personality and traits...but only small of it.

The twins continued to talk to eachother, as Knuckles told N/N what he remembered about their childhood and their parents as N/N listened carefully, wanting to know about his past and parents.

"wait, who painted that?"

"...i don't know.."
