Chapter 63: More Dramatic Rides
-Bex p.o.v.-

"Come on! You have to pack now!" Lily urged.

I groaned, becoming a dead weight against Lily's hefting. "I don't want to, though."

"But I know you, and I know that if I don't make you pack right this second; you won't pack until ten minutes before we are suppose to leave." Lily placed her hands on her hips, glaring at me.

I rolled my eyes, "come on, Lily, it's not like I'll be late for the train or something. I'll be fine. We have this thing called magic. It lets me pack my bag in five seconds."

She sighed, "fine. But I'm going to pack now, the normal way."

I slept peacefully that night, it was a somber evening. All students were quiet that night, it was the last evening at Hogwarts before the summer holiday.

The next morning passed quickly. I was in a rush to get ready and pack all of my things at the same time. I had twenty minutes to get down to the train station in Hogsmeade before the Hogwarts Express left.

Lily had woken me up and then departed for breakfast. I had then slept for another hour and a half before I jolted awake and was forced to hurry. With only five minutes before the train after the station, I ran from the castle, sprinting to the front gates. After I ran for a few minutes, I groaned and yanked off my bag. I pulled out my broom and threw my bag back over my shoulder.

I made it to the train just in time. Literally just as the train had pulled away and was picking up speed. I flew next to the door, and leapt sideways, landing as gracefully on the edge of the cart as I possibly could.

With a sigh, I slid open the door and entered the train. Shoving my broom back in my bag, I walked down the corridor. The boys were siting in the same compartment they had always sat in, the very last one.

I opened the door and collapsed in one of the seats, falling onto Remus' lap. "I'm going to die." I groaned out, flailing my arms like a fish out of water.

"Where've you been?" James asked, mumbling around the chocolate frog sticking out of his mouth.

"I literally woke up twenty minutes ago. I spent fifteen of those minutes packing and getting ready. And then the last five minutes getting from the front gate to the train station." I groaned, "I think I am about to pass out."

"Woah, take a deep breath," Sirius grabbed my arm to steady me as I almost fell from my position, half lying on Remus and half sitting in the seat.

"Sirius, when did you get a twin? I'm seeing doubles." I wobbled a bit, falling further into his arms.

"Did you eat something?" Remus questioned, feeling my forehead.

"Not a thing Remi-poo," I muttered feeling drowsy. My eyelids had become heavy and I felt like I was about to pass out.

"You can't burn this much energy, if you don't have anything stored." Remus raked his fingers through his hair. "When was the last time you ate?"

"Uh I had a sandwich a little after lunch." I spoke, swiping at Sirius' twin. But every time I came close to him, my hand passed right through his body. I was touching Sirius Black's twin's internal organs. How many people could say that? None that I knew of.

"Eat this." James shoved something in my mouth, moving my jaw to help me chew.

I pushed his hands away, almost falling. "I know how to chew things, you idiot." James stumbled back at the force of my push, falling through Sirius' twin. James was the second person to touch Sirius' twin's internal organs. Now I didn't feel that special.

Within minutes I was bouncing off of the walls. Whatever James had given me was something with a lot of sugar.

"Hey James! Guess what!" I screamed, jumping around in my seat, jostling Remus, who say next to me trying his hardest to read a book.

"What?" He looked amused at my current state of well being.

"You have to guess!" I rolled my eyes, noticing for the first time that someone had placed my bag on the overhead shelf. Maybe it had been Sirius' twin.

"Did you ride a unicorn?" James rolled his eyes.

"No, guess again." I spoke in a sing-song voice, smirking slightly.

He sighed, thinking of a new guess, "did you get detention for next year already?"

"No- well actually yes. But that's not what I wanted to tell you. Guess again!" I urged.

"I don't know, just tell me."

"You mum invited me to spend the summer at your house! And I agreed!" I pounced on James, shaking him by the shoulders, "how awesome is that?!"

He laughed, pushing me off of him. I landed with a small thud on the floor. "That's great. We can prank my dad like crazy this summer."

I laid down on my back, staring at the compartment ceiling. "But I can't stay all the time. I have to do stuff."

"Stuff that involves that crazy friend of yours?" Sirius asked, frowning down at me.

I scrunched my eyebrows at him. "How did you know that I invited Cai to stay at my house?"

"I wasn't talking about Hunter. I'm talking about the one that kidnapped you." He rolled his eyes in amusement, but still looked upset.

I shrugged, "I'm not sure. He hasn't owled me in a whole. Not since Easter."

The boys dropped the subject after that and pretty soon after, the sugar rushing through my system was running low.

"We need to get some real food in her." Remus informed, "Peter where is the trolley now?"

Peter stuck his head out of the door. "Uh," he murmured, looking both ways, moving so he could look around people. "Oh! It's just down the corridor. Only a few cabins away." He pointed to the left of our compartment.

"Peter would you mind getting her a sandwich?" Remus asked.

"Sure," he nodded, hurriedly grabbing his money pouch, "I'll be right back."

Over the years, Peter had lost his shyness around me, he was actually a good friend to the boys. He thought logically before making a decision, he did what was best for his mates, and he was almost always around. The only downfall was that he was a bit dull, he followed the pack and he wasn't the brightest person ever. He took a bit of time to think things out thoroughly because he would not always understand. But the boys were patient with him, they explained things, which showed just how good their friendship was.

I had even grown to adore Peter. He had become cute. Not handsome, not even good looking. Just cute. Like a puppy or a child. He had a childish glow to him.

All of his acne had cleared and his teeth had grown in the right placement. And over the last few weeks I had seen him around much more. Remus, it seemed, had casted some spells on Peter, they made him less clumsy and acceptable to pain. Now he wasn't in the hospital every other day.

Peter hurried back with the sandwich, he burst through the compartment doors and quickly unwrapped the sandwich, shoving it in my hands. "Thanks Peety," I smiled sluggishly.

"Well go on, eat it." Sirius nodded to the sandwich. I giggled as the boys watched me with so much interest as I ate the sandwich.

Very soon after, the train pulled into the King's Cross Station. "Be right back boys. I've got to say goodbye to a couple of people. Don't leave without saying goodbye to me first," I sent them a warning look.

James rolled his eyes, "they're all staying for dinner and are going home tomorrow at noon."

"Oh good then!" I grinned, "be right back!" I left their sight, slipping through the bustling crowd. Someone grabbed my hand, pulling me towards them.

"There you are," Regulus grinned, pulling my into a hug. "Have a good first few weeks of break, yeah? I'll see you soon. And remember, I love you. I'm doing this for you. I'm going to protect you, Aria."

I smiled a bit sadly, "you don't have to do it. Think logically before you rush into it, yeah? Be safe." I kissed his cheek softly, having to stand on my tippy toes, my hands were placed on his neck, my fingers slipping through his hair.

He smiled just as sadly as I did, "no worries. I can handle it. I'm ready, I'm ready to do this for you." His arms were wrapped around my back, he held me closely.

"Reg, hurry this up, your mum looks furious," Severus muttered from beside us.

"I love you, okay. Please don't get yourself killed. I'll miss you too much." I frowned up at him.

"I've got this." He spoke confidently.

Regular was yanked out of my grasp, making me stumble a bit. "Regulus Arcturus Black!" A woman screeched, "how dare you defile our name with holding a disgusting girl so close to you!"

"Mum," Regulus spoke in a low, warning tone. He then muttered a few words to the woman. She looked shocked at the words, her eyes widened and her mouth gaped.

"She's the girl Bellatrix talked about?" She murmured, staring at me up and down.

"Yes mum, she is his most prized possession. Look at her ring finger. She wears his ring." Regulus nodded to my right hand.

She nodded a bit stiffly, paling when her eyes connected with the ring Tom had given me so long ago. "Say your goodbyes, we must get home." She then walked away glancing back at us.

"Your family talks about me?" I asked curiously.

"My family is very deep in this war that is starting up. They talk about him and what is happening. Our family is even sponsoring this war. Bellatrix came over one night and began speaking of you. Apparently you are very important to him."

"I suppose," I mumbled, looking down.

"Hey, no worries, we'll get through this. I'll see you soon." He kissed my forehead before departing, going in the direction if his mother, who stood against a pillar not too far away.

I turned to Severus, "and you'll be doing this as well?" I frowned.

"A bit later, after Regulus has already joined." He smiled softly at me, "don't worry. We're doing this for you. You are our only hope for winning this war. You have to destroy him and if we can help, we will. No matter the consequences."

I leapt into his arms, hugging him tightly. "Thank you Severus, you are a great friend. I love you."

"I love you too, Aria. I always have and I always will. No matter what happens, I am by your side. Always." He murmured into my hair, rubbing my back. "I've got to go, but I'll see you soon, don't worry too much, alright?"

I nodded. He placed a soft kiss on my forehead and squeezed my hand before walking away towards his mum. She waved at me and I returned the gesture, smiling at Mrs. Snape.

I wandered through the still crowded platform a bit more, searching for Lily's bright red hair. I found her speaking with Cai and Callie. Marlene and Alice must have already left. Cai's parents stood behind her, smiling affectionately down at Cai. Their accents sounding strange in the crowd of English people.

"Mr. and Mrs. Hunter," I smiled, "how wonderful to see you again!"

"Ah! Bex! Comment allez-vous?" Mrs. Hunter asked with a bright, beautiful smile.

"Pas mal, merci. Et vous?" I asked, grinning at her.

"Très bien, merci!" She smiled at me fondly. "Thank you so much for allowing my daughter to stay with you for a part of the break. That is very convenient to us."

"It's no problem at all! I'd be happy to have her as a guest." I smiled at her strong French accent that shone through her English words.

"We will see you soon then! Au revoir!" She smiled and waved goodbye, her silent husband following and Cai after. They began to talk at an extraordinary speed of French that only a person fluent in the language would be able to understand.

I understood them perfectly.

"I'll see you over the break, yeah?" Lily smiled at me, her eyes tearing up.

"Lily! Don't cry again!" I groaned.

She laughed and hugged me, "you have to stay over after we come home from Italy!"

"I will, see you late Lily, and have fun in Rome!" I grinned, "later new girl," I winked at Callie as I passed her, walking away.

Though I knew her name, I didn't use it often. I took to calling her by the nickname that had been her's for a good part of the year.

"Bex! There you are! Have you said goodbye to all of your friends?" Aunt Eleanor asked when I started towards them.

"Yeah."

"Then let's get to the house, shall we?" Uncle Charlus held out a hand for me to hold. Everyone grabbed hands and we apparated out.

I looked up at the Potter Manor as we landed. It looked just as peaceful and homey as it did the last time I was there.
