Kidnapping Severus
Chapter 37: Kidnapping Severus
-Bex p.o.v.-
We were in Three Broomsticks, the local pub, when Severus started to wake. Regulus quit talking, we gave each other a look and watched Severus blink himself awake.
"Wha-" he woke, looking around confused. His confused eyes met with our innocent looking ones, he glared. "What did you two do?"
"Nothing." I smiled as sweetly as I could.
"Then why am I suddenly here? I don't remember coming with you guys." He crossed his arms over his chest.
"Fine." Regulus huffed, "we may have kidnapped you."
Severus glared, "why would you do that? You are both idiots."
I shrugged, "you still love us. We may be idiots, but we're your idiots."
He sighed, "why am I even friends with you two? You're absolutely crazy."
I grinned, "oh come on! You know you love us with all of your heart, no matter how small everyone else thinks it is. We all know you're a teddy bear, all loving and caring inside of that cold exterior."
Regulus smirked, "you wouldn't know what to do if you didn't have us as entertainment."
Severus rolled his eyes, "how did you even manage to kidnap me?"
I shrugged, "it was quite simple, really."
Regulus nodded in agreement, "all I had to do was knock you out in the library and drag you to the courtyard where Aria was waiting."
"Then we brought you to the carriages, we got a few strange looks, but we managed to get you here. We've been waiting for you to wake up for the past half hour. Hey we even ordered you a butter beer!" I cheered, grinning.
"Of course we drank it while waiting for you to wake up," Regulus informed, "but we still got you one!"
Severus frowned, "how nice of you."
"We shared it with each other," I spoke, a smile playing at my lips.
Severus scoffed, "I bet you were arguing the entire time."
Regulus narrowed his eyes, "you don't know that," he trailed off.
"We actually didn't fight," I argued.
The drunk man in the table next to us leaned over, "they was arguing the whole time about who shoulda got the last drink. Ended up smashin' the glass to da floor." He slurred his words, almost falling out of his chair.
"I had to threaten to kick them out, just to get them to stop fighting." The bartender spoke, placing a fresh fire whiskey in front of the drunk.
Severus smirked, raising an eyebrow at us. "So what's this about you two not fighting?"
Regulus and I shared a look, pouting. "Whatever."
A few tables over, sat the boys and new girl. She was looking over at me, as usual, talking with the boys. "How come she's so nice around those two guys?" She muttered quietly to them.
I saw Remus look over out of my peripheral vision, he spoke softly, "she's good friends with those two. Old friends with Severus Snape, she's known him for years. And the other one, Sirius' brother, they hit it off immediately. There's another Slytherin she's great friends with, he graduated last year, but from what I've heard, she still sees him, it's Lucius Malfoy. They all started hanging out last year. She likes being around them. They seem to make her calm, calmer than she usually is." He chuckled a little, sipping his drink.
"She's dating Sirius' brother?" She questioned, looking at us interestedly.
I rolled my eyes, looking at the pair in front of me, "they're talking about us."
"No! She's good friends with him is all," Remus clarified, sending Sirius a look. Sirius looked angry, he looked as if he'd explode.
Severus sent me a look, "stop eavesdropping, it's rude."
I held my hands up in defense, "it's not my fault Monster has great hearing. I can't just turn it off, you know."
Regulus chuckled, rolling his eyes, "what are they saying?"
"New girl was asking why I'm nicer around you two." I giggled, "she's still on about why I ignore her. I guess she really wants to speak to me."
Severus shrugged, "maybe you should give her a chance. She probably only wants to get to know you, then she'll leave you alone."
I made a face, "no, then she'll never leave me alone. She'll think that I'm her friend or something."
"Is that so bad?"
"It is when she tried to take my bed and now expects us to be all good. I don't forget things that easily."
We all laughed, claiming new girls attention yet again. "She's so happy with them." She observed, looking at us, "how am I going to get on her good side? What does she like?"
Sirius answered this time, "she liked chocolate, magical creatures, the forest, her cat, hitting things." He listed off, staring at me, or at least what he could see of me. I was facing away from him, he could only see my side profile.
I grinned, "he's just told her what I like," I giggled, "he told her that I like hitting things."
"You do!" Regulus exclaimed, "you hit me all the time! You abuse me!"
I giggled, "shut up before I hit you again."
He pouted, taking another drink to keep himself quiet. "Meanie." He muttered, flinching away from me when I sent him a glare.
I giggled again, "you're such a dork. Hey you guys ready to go?"
"Yeah, let's go look at the puppies." Regulus stood, pulling on his jacket.
I laughed, "that's so manly Reggie, very manly of you."
He smirked, "girls fancy sensitive guys. When girls see me playing with puppies they'll be all over me."
"Oh, does someone already have this planned out?" I rolled my eyes, grabbing my scarf, I gently wrapped it around my neck.
"Course I do, how else am I going to get a proper date for Slughorn's party?" Regulus glanced back at me as he started walking towards the exit.
"You could have asked me!" I exclaimed, we had to pass our onlookers table to get to the front of the pub, as we passed I spoke again, "I haven't got a date for it either, you know."
"Fancy going with me? It'll save us an hour of playing with puppies." Regulus asked, stopping to let me catch up with him.
Severus chuckled, stepping past him.
"Excuse me," I smiled at Remus, squeezing past his chair. "It's too late for just asking. You have to do something big to get me to go with you." I paused to let someone pass me.
"What? Really?" He questioned, frowning a bit.
"Yes! You just said I wasn't a proper date!" I giggled accidentally stepping on James' foot. "Oh shit, sorry Potter, didn't meant I step on you."
"It's cool, you okay? I saw you stumble a bit." He questioned.
"Yeah I'm fine, someone just bumped into me, that's all." I glanced over my shoulder. The person who bumped into me didn't stop to apologize or anything. He just kept walking, stumbling around, knocking into more people. "Some drunk guy." I gestured to the man.
He nodded, "well have fun."
"Yeah you too," I nodded at the others at the table, walking away with Regulus and Severus. Sirius was glaring slightly at the table.
Regulus threw his arm over my shoulder, "I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about everyone else."
I rolled my eyes, "you still have to make it big Reggie," I grinned. "I want it to be a big surprise."
He sighed, "I guess I can do that for you, where to?"
"The puppies!" I grinned.
"Puppies?" Severus chuckled in question.
"Just because Regulus doesn't need to go there to get a girl doesn't mean I don't want to play with puppies."
"To the puppies we go." He laughed, leading the way.
When I got back to my dorm, later that night, there was a surprise on my bed. It looked like a longer beaters bat, made of wood, and not as sturdy. I looked at it in confusion, what was it doing here, on my bed? I looked at the strange object, wondering what to do with it. So I just stood there, staring at it.
Lily walked in shortly after, Alice, Marlene, and new girl coming in with her. "Hey Bex, what's up?"
"There's a foreign object on my bed." I pointed to it.
"Hmm," Lily hummed, looking at it curiously, "it wasn't there when we were just up here an hour ago."
"What is it?"
Lily giggled, "it's a muggle baseball bat. It's like a beaters bat but not as strong."
"It's strange looking. Why is it so long?" I hadn't touched the object or moved any closer, there was no way I'd be touching some strange object.
"It's used differently in the muggle world, it's good for hitting things." Marlene explained, picking it up, she swung it around in a strange position. She had it propped on her shoulder and swung it around her front and to her opposite side.
"You keep it." I told her, staring at it weirdly.
"Are you sure?" Marlene asked, her eyes wide with surprise. She grinned when I nodded, leaping forward to hug me. "I'll have to take you to a game over summer break. I'm sure you'll love it. It's a great sport." She began telling me all about the sport of baseball.
I didn't miss the look that flashed across new girl's face. Ignoring it, I focused on everything Marlene informed me about. She spent the entire rest of the afternoon telling me about the rules and how the game is played.
