Pen Name: Liva

Is your pen name your legal name? If no, then how did you make up one?

Yes, my pen name is my legal name. I have been using my username on my book covers but when I start publishing my new work, I want to use my legal name.

How many books have you published till date?

I have published 4 books in total. Two of them are a series. One is a short story and the fourth one is incomplete and it was an idea I had a long time ago. I might never even finish that one, to be honest. All of my current books are old works of mine, I had been in a long hiatus. But I do have new ideas that I want to share here on Wattpad in the near future. I'm currently trying to finish the second book of the series that I had published.

What are your future projects?

I have a standalone story in mind. I have a main idea about what I want it to be about but I have to work on the plot a bit more and the characters as well.

Other than that - outside of Wattpad - I applied for a job as a book translator. There is something I want to translate from Turkish into German. I'm currently waiting for a response. Let's hope, I get that opportunity.

And I also like writing non-fictional articles and such. I'm a psychology students and there is a journal I want to write for in the future.

What is writing to you?

Writing is expressing to me. Expressing what is in my heart and on my mind. But it just recently got to this point. Back in the days, I just wrote because I enjoyed making up stories. I still do but at the moment, it means more to me than just that.

I want my writing to grow with me and mature with me. I really love and connect with my old stories but I feel as if I changed in the last years. The way I express certain things changed and I really want to show that in my upcoming work.

Is being an author, your long time dream or a hidden passion you found out later?

As I said, I always liked making up stories. I'm someone, I dream action movies in my sleep. Seriously. But I never thought that it would come to this point. I didn't always consider trying to become an author. Writing was something I did for myself. But from now on, I want to touch people with my words and with the stories I want to tell. I want to learn more and more about stories and improve my writing skills.

What genre books you like to work on?

I like working on adventurous books. I feel as if I can deliver suspense and action well. That is what I'm comfortable writing in. Or I could write Thrillers. I tried romance in the past. I shared them on another platform and it got good feedback but I never really tried a real-deal romance book. I just wrote some short stories. I can't write funny things/humor. I'm really not a funny person.

If we challenge you to write a book of another genre we suggest, then would you take it up?

Yes. I'm always up for a challenge!

Then we would like to read a Paranormal Romance book from you soon.

Writing is a reality that paints a beautiful fantasy. What do you think are the charms of writing fiction/non fictional books?

Writing is a tool for an author to pour something from himself/herself into the story. Everytime I read an author's work I feel like I'm getting to know them a little bit. It's feel like meeting a new person or learning something new about that writer. I believe, that is its charm for me.

Who are your favorite authors in and out of wattpad?

My favorite authors on Wattpad are old ones. I'm a Wattpad veteran y'all: I really like JoPRBooks (F.A.I.T.H.'s author) and something_hopeless  (writer of Million Dollar Man).

Outside of Wattpad, I have a lot of authors that I like. I have a favorite for each genre.

Name few of your close wattpad friends.

This will be such an awkward and sad answer but here's the thing; I joined Wattpad in 2013/14. I started writing as a teenager. Back then I had few friends. Then I took an unbelievably long hiatus and I just recently got back on here, so I have to say: right now, I don't have any friends x). BUT, I consider all my readers as my friends. I feel like talking to a friend, when I'm talking to one of my readers. And I'm open to new people, so feel free to talk to me. Let's be friends.

What is your favorite series you have recently watched or read?

he most recent series that I watched was a korean drama called „My Mister". I really enjoyed it. One of my favorite series to be honest. I haven't read any book series recently. I have been reading standalones. And currently I've been a lot into self development books. But right now, I'm reading Demian by Hermann Hesse.

Who is your favorite actor/actress?

I can't just name one. I like a lot of actors/actresses and I don't have a favorite particularly. If I enjoy any movie/series, it is because of the lead actor's/actress' charm.

Who is your favorite Villain you couldn't help but love?

I don't know if you guys know anime, but every Akatsuki member ever would be my favorite villian. But other than that, I'd go with the Joker.

What are your hobbies other than writing and reading?

I like cooking a lot. I like trying new things in the kitchen. I'm pretty good in it actually. Also, I always would have wanted to be good in photography/videography and I tend to give my best and try to improve but if I got to be honest, I suck at it.

What are your hidden talents?

I'm really good at memorizing stuff. This is not really a hidden talent but a talent I'm really proud of. And I pretty accurate with my analysis about anything or anyone. I don't know... can you call these even „talents"?

Who is your first celebrity crush?

Well, early as a teenager I didn't have a crush on any celebrity but as I grew older, I tended to crush on every actor on screen for a short time.

What is the most embarrassing situation that you have ever been through?

I can't think of anything.

One craziest thing you have ever done?

The craziest thing I did was skipping school, I guess. Wow, I feel like I'm such a lame person, answering these questions. I don't have anything interesting to share.

I am boring. This is what I learned doing this questionnaire.

There are many authors who just started their journey and many readers who want to write but has no courage to do so. Please give them a tip and a word of encouragement.

Just go for it. Sit down and start writing and let readers critisize you. You will grow from it. Everyone has their own writing style and that might not appeal to some people and that's ok. That shouldn't discourage you to continue. If you know what you want to write and what type of readers you want to attract, read books in that genre. Look what others have written. Look how they express things and get inspired by them. Talk to your family about your story and your ideas. They will be your biggest motivators. Always! Sometimes you won't come up with new things. Sometimes the things you write, won't be interesting and that's ok. Not everything we write is readable. You have to pick out of all your writings. Sometimes you'll have to take a break and clear your thoughts, find something new that inspires you again. That's all part of the process. And just write, if it makes you happy. You don't always need someone's approval to do something you like. If it makes you happy, do it and with time you'll find an audience that thinks the way you do, looks at things the way you do and enjoys your work.

Last but not the least, have you ever dreamt of writing your own comic?

I didn't actually. I'm not much into comics.

What do you feel about this interview?

I did enjoy this interview but I'm not sure, if anyone will enjoy reading this x) The questions made me think about certain things I haven't thought about in a while. Thank you, if you have come to this point. Thank you for taking your time and reading my answers. I appreciate it.

Hope you had a great time answering our questions. We appreciate you for your beautiful works and also spending valuable time with us.

We wish you to write many more successful stories and be a bestselling author one day.
