Here's Knots which can in fact be a standalone even though it's an offshoot of a previous novella, Feathers. Does reading the previous one add extra flavor? Yeah but not enough to derail the plot. The biggest crossover is that this is the main character's brother driving the narrative. Okay so maybe there'll be a little Graham cameo, a Grahameo is you will.
