The graveyard was a happy atmosphere when Lilith made her way up with Billy, even though Lilith was adamant of getting herself cleaned up before going up and facing everybody, Lilith decided to just go up to the graveyard, still bloody. Billy was hesitant at first, but went along with the girl, holding tissues and handing Lilith a wet cloth to place over her bruising knuckles.
"You sure you want everyone to see you like this?"
"Billy they all saw me like this in second year, there's no difference." Billy sighed, pushing open the door, allowing Lilith to enter first, him following closely behind. Lilith locked eyes with everyone sat around the monopoly table, giving them a small wave, a matching smile as she limped over to them, the pain in her leg getting worse as she felt a bruise forming on both her shin and knees, as well as her left foot.
"Hi."
"Lilith..." Marcus jumped up from beside Lilith, running over to Lilith. Lilith smiled at Marcus as he pulled her into a hug, when she noticed the glare Maria was giving her. Lilith smiled and waved at Maria, before wrapping her arms around Marcus, giving him a gentle squeeze, ignoring the pain that was soaring through her body from her body colliding with another.
"Are you okay?" Lilith nodded as she pulled out of Marcus's grasp, Billy grabbing her arm, helping her move at more ease towards the group. Willie smiled sympathetically towards his friend, pulling him to her side as she sat down next to him.
The group knew not to ask questions, instead they decided to continue with their conversations, allowing Lilith to contribute whenever she wanted, as she sat next to Willie, of whom had decided to wrap his jacket over her shoulders, replacing her bloody leather jacket.
Lilith smiled at the gratitude, giving Willie's hand a gentle squeeze before placing the wet cloth back over her hands, attempting to ease the pain. Lilith noticed eyes on her as she looked down at the wet cloth. Glancing up, Lilith saw Maria staring intensely at the girl, causing Lilith to raise an eyebrow at the girl clinging onto Marcus's arm.
Lilith smirked as she knew what Maria was attempting to do, but Lilith was preoccupied with looking after herself and caring for her injuries than to be focusing all her attention onto Maria trying to get the attention of her boyfriend. Instead, Marcus was looking at Lilith, smiling every time they locked eyes, making she was so okay and if she needed anything.
Having enough of the staring, Lilith was ready to call out Maria when she noticed Saya walking at some speed over to the group, locking eyes with both Marcus and Lilith. Saya's eyes widened at the bloodiness of Lilith when Lilith shook her head at the girl, bringing Saya's attention back to Marcus.
"Got a minute?" Saya asked, the group glancing around as Marcus got up from Maria's side.
"Come on Lilith." Lilith's eyes widened as Marcus walked over to her, grabbing her arm to help her up, the two making their way over to an obvious stressed Saya. Lilith glanced at Maria of whom was not impressed with the situation as she sat with her arms crossed. If looks could kill, Maria would be wanting to be Lilith six feet under. Lilith once again waved at the Maria, bringing the girls annoyance to a whole new level as Maria rolled her eyes at Lilith before looking down at the monopoly board.
"You love to piss her off, don't you?" Marcus whispered to Lilith as they stopped before Saya, of whom stood a long distance from the group, making sure they were no longer in the earshot of the group.
"It's my speciality." Marcus scoffed before he helped Lilith lean comfortably against the wall, the two looking at Saya with worry.
"What is it?" Marcus asked Saya as she looked out into the evening skies of San Francisco.
"Someone killed one of my crew last night."
"What?" Lilith exclaimed, leaning herself forward.
"It has to be fuckface." Lilith sighed, shaking her head at the thought of Marcus's roommate targeting Saya's crew. Marcus too was shaking his head.
"That's impossible... how would he even know-"
"How does he know anything about any of us?" Lilith agreed with Saya, the two looking at one another before glancing at Marcus, all three showing a worried expression on their faces.
"It's the only thing that makes any sense." Saya continued. "Did he do that to you?" Saya directed the question to Lilith, of whom shook her head.
"Who do you think I am? That guy has nothing on me." The three smiled as Lilith opened her mouth to speak when she winced. Looking up, Maria was stood beside Lilith, glancing between the three.
"Sorry I didn't mean to interrupt a quality moment with you and my boyfriend." Maria announced herself, annoyance and bitterness dripping off her tongue as Lilith stomped her foot against Maria's toe.
"I was just giving him some archery tips." Saya calmly responded, looking back and forth between Maria and Marcus. "Like 'duck'." Lilith snorted, earning a warning glance from Maria as Saya bashed her shoulder against the Maria.
"Nice one Saya!" Lilith shouted as she stood herself up from against the wall, wincing once again at the pain. Before leaving the couple, Lilith leaned herself forward, her mouth inches away from Maria's ear.
"Remember who's better with a bow Maria... next time, I'll show you a few archery tips. Such as, aiming an arrow right there." Lilith furiously poked the top of the bridge of Maria's nose before walking away from Maria and Marcus, heading towards where Saya had now sat herself.
"I have to talk to you." Lilith heard Maria say as she heard footsteps behind her as she attempted to jump until the wall next to Saya. After a few attempts, Lilith joined Saya, the two-eyeing up Marcus and Maria as she pulled Marcus into one of the greenhouses.
"What's going on?" Willie spoke, as he joined the two girls, standing next to the wall as she glanced out to the streets of San Francisco.
"Yukio was killed last night." Willie sighed.
"What the fuck is going on around here?" Lilith shrugged as she applied pressure to her knuckles with the wet cloth. "You okay?"
"I'm fine."
"Saya? It's okay not to be okay."
"I said I'm fine... but when I found out who did it I-"
"We will find out Saya... I will help with every bone in my body, to help you find out who did this... even though I may not be in the best shape... Knives can still be thrown." Saya smiled at Lilith, as Willie turned his head to look at the two girls.
"Fine?" Willie spoke up, "You don't sound fine Saya. You don't always got to keep your guard up you know." Lilith nodded, agreeing with Willie as she scooted over, allowing the boy to sit down next to her.
"Coming from you?" Lilith widened her eyes as Saya looked at Willie. "When was the last time you said an honest thing to anyone?" Willie opened his mouth, closing it again as he held his head down, looking out to Lex, Billy and Petra sat around the monopoly board. Lilith smiled, removing one of her hands from under the wet cloth, grabbing a hold of Willie's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. Doing the same with the other hand, Saya felt Lilith grab one of her hands, giving it a gentle squeeze as the three sat in silence.
"No matter what... we need to stick together."
*****************************
After the whole situation with Maria, the group began to split back into their crews the following day during class hours at Kings Dominion. With the help of Billy, Lilith had managed to patch herself up enough to avoid any interrogations with either Master Lin or Master Gao, not wanting to be a suspect in the murder of Yukio, a member of Saya's crew, the Kuroki's.
Marcus had joined Lilith, much to her persisting that she did not need help, the two alongside Petra, Lex and Billy minding their own business through classes and in between.
It was after Poison class, that Lilith was stood at her locker when a herd of gasps were heard down the hall. Almost by summoning them, Billy and Marcus had joined Lilith's side, the three making their way towards the commotion happening around the corner.
Lilith's eyes widened as she dropped her bag at the sight happening before her. Juan, Chico's best friend, and one of the most loyal members of the Soto Vatos, was swinging for Saya. Lilith was ready to lunge herself forward when Billy grabbed her arm.
"Are you crazy?" Billy shouted, pulling her back.
"Yes." Lilith said wiggling out of Billy's grasp, running over in between the two, when Saya managed to kick Juan against the locker, her crew holding mini spears and handheld pitchforks to his neck.
"You tried to distract me." Lilith stopped a few inches away as Saya walked towards Maria.
"Oh shit." Billy mumbled from behind Lilith, Willie standing on the otherside of Lilith as she placed a hand on her shoulder, a bouquet of flowers in the other.
"Saya you know I would never-"
"Never what?" The crowd gathering around grew larger as the two girls stood before one another, Maria holding her hands up, attempting to diffuse the situation with an angry and betrayed Saya.
"You shot a fucking arrow at us Maria, you bitch." Lilith snorted, covering her mouth to prevent getting any unnecessary attention from her reactions.
"And what were you doing that night?" Maria asked, stepping towards Saya. Lilith was about to step in when Marcus pushed past her, causing the girl to lean into Willie as he stepped in between the two girls, of whom were once best friends.
"Wait stop!" Lilith continued to watch Marcus when she felt Willie grab a hold of her, allowing the monks to flood through the corridor, grabbing a bunch of students throwing them into different rooms.
"Lockdown." Lilith said to Wille as he shook his head, grabbing a hold of her hand.
"Back to your room." Lilith stared at the monk as he grabbed ahold of her arm, her wincing at the bruise that was on her forearm as the monk squeezed her arm as she was pulled.
"Get off me dick! I can go myself."
Before Lilith could walk back to her room, her and Willie were pushed into a random room, alongside Viktor. As the students protested, Lilith saw Maria standing outside the door as she saw Marcus and Saya talking to one another. Marcus grunted as he was pushed into the room with Lilith, the three boys and herself having to share the room during the lockdown.
As the monks slammed the door shut, thoroughly locking the rooms, Master Lin's stick could be heard banging against the floor at the end of the hallway.
"Another student is dead!" Master Lin shouted, anger dripping off his tongue as Lilith sat down on the bed, Viktor laying across the bed opposite. "And I will find out who's responsible... You're all on lockdown until I do."
Lilith sighed as Marcus turned around to face his three peers, an unrecognisable expression sprawled across his face as Lilith examined his facial features.
"Lockdown?" Marcus said.
"Yes Marcus... welcome to the wonders of lockdown." Lilith announced, falling back onto the pillows, holding her stomach as she looked up to the ceiling.
"Where everyone finds out the truth about everything." Lilith looked at Marcus as he stared in her direction.
"So, tell me Marcus... what was so important for you to try and tell Saya at this time?"
