MUSIC WAS CONTINUING TO BLAST THROUGH THE RECEPTION HALL OF THE GREY MANOR AS LILITH LEFT TO GO TO THE BATHROOM, THE GIRL INSTANTLY REGRETTING HER ACTIONS AS SHE WOULD HAVE BROKEN HER SEAL, A THING YOU SHOULD NEVER DO WHEN DRINKING ALCOHOL. another thing the girl regretted, was wearing heels.
dancing in heels, and i mean properly dancing was not ideal for lilith. dance battles with billy resulted in lilith feeling she was developing blisters on the heel of her feet, thus making it painful for the girl to walk.
"you know if you needed someone to carry you, you should have just asked."
lilith jumped as she turned around to be met with a awkward looking marcus as he stood a few metres away, pointing down at her shoes. lilith let out a sigh of relief upon seeing the boy, the girl not prepared if it was suddenly jason or one of his goons popping out of nowhere.
"i didn't mean to scare you- oh!"
marcus dashed forward, catching lilith as she fell, the fall most likely being a mixture of alcohol and her ankle giving out from struggling to be in heels for over an hour. marcus gently placed the girl down on the floor, joining her as she released herself from his grip. lilith watched as the first thing marcus did was unstrap the heels from the girls feet, instantly making the girl smile as she continued to watch the boy, of which she noticed him struggling to unstrap the heel on her left foot.
"let me-"
"no, i am going to do this." lilith laughed at marcus's stubbornness, the feeling of a sense of freedom filling the girls feet as marcus had successfully now taken both heels of her feet, placing them on the armchair leaning against the wall.
"show me your ankle."
lilith decided not to argue with the boy as bend his fingers, indicating for the girl to lift her foot up, of which she did.
"you didn't argue?" marcus said, lilith sensing the confusion flooding his words, making the girl smile at him as she leaned back, resting her back on the floor, the girls eyes looking up at the ceiling.
"i'm too tired to argue, and I've had a few too many drinks."
"that's why I'm surprised you aren't arguing because you have had been drinking."
"touché Marcus."
the two teenagers sat in silence as marcus continued to inspect lilith's ankle. upon living at the grey manor, tiana taught the boy alongside the other king dominion students some of the basics of first aid, incase they were ever to get damaged out when doing a mission, or just when training here in their home.
cheshire had become the new home for the king dominion students, none of them necessarily wanting to go back to their homes in america when their home was infact the king dominion school. when moving here at the start, billy had felt guilty, leaving his family behind, but he knew they were somewhat safer after his dad's death.
"how come you're out here anyway?" lilith said, commencing a conversation to occur between the two teenagers, marcus shrugging to the girls question, making a sigh fall out of her mouth.
"well thank you, for getting my shoes off for me that is."
marcus smiled, patting lilith's leg, making the girl roll her eyes as she continued to look up at the ceiling.
"come on, let's get you up."
lilith groaned, shaking her head as she saw marcus come into view, the teenager standing over her, his hand held out down to her. she sighed, knowing he wasn't going to take no for answer, the girl grabbing onto his hand, as he pulled her up from the floor.
"what's your plan now after you got me up dickhead?"
"hey! no mean names you bitch." lilith scoffed as the two laughed, marcus keeping ahold of her hand as he walked the two through the corridor, the kitchen being the room he brought them into.
"the kitchen? very romantic marcus." the girl mumbled as she jumped up onto the kitchen island, watching as marcus walked over to the glass cabinet, grabbing out two glasses before filling them with water.
"romantic huh? is that what you were planning for lili?" marcus heard the girl scoff as he turned around, placing a glass of water by her side, as he positioned himself to start infront of her legs, his arms resting on them as he looked up at her.
"i may be drunk here arguello, but don't expect me to just kiss that annoying pretty face of yours."
"oh? so you don't want to no?" marcus said, tempting the girl. the two held the eye contact, both of them feeling the tension, somewhat sexual, as she took a sip of her water, making sure she didn't break from his look.
marcus raised an eyebrow at the girl, as he took a sip of his water. he always knew lilith was a confident girl, but since being here in cheshire, and having met girls that are friends with any of the grey siblings, they never held their eye contact.
but lilith did, as did tiana.
it must have been a grey girl thing.
"i would never." lilith hit back at marcus's comment, the girl wondering why her words didn't remove the smirk off his face, instead it grew larger. to say lilith had too many drinks would be an understatement, the girl taking full advantage of being legal to drink, even though she had been drinking since the age of fourteen. "you know, i actually left the party to go to the toilet, so i'm actually going to go do that."
marcus watched as lilith stumbled on her words, his instinct making him grab her hand as she attempted to climb off the kitchen island, marcus not trusting her to do with how intoxicated she was.
"okay lili, you do that, i'll meet you back inside the hall." lilith gave the boy a thumbs up as she walked out of the room, walking surprisingly well considering the amount of alcohol she had drunk and the fact she had hurt her ankle when wearing her heels.
"this girl honestly."
AFTER HER LITTLE BATHROOM BREAK, LILITH HAD GOTTEN HERSELF BACK INTO THE ROOM OF THE PARTY, THE GIRL FOR A SECOND FORGETTING HOW PACKED THE ROOM ACTUALLY WAS UNTIL SHE SAW THE MASSIVE GROUPS SPREAD AROUND THE RECEPTION HALL. lilith instantly noticed both of her friends from different moments in her life enjoying the party together, making the girl smile. lilith thought about going over to the group, when she saw layla and marcus standing close to one another.
lilith felt some sort of pain in her chest, but she decided to forget about it, as she knew layla would not go for marcus, him not doing the same either as lilith thought he was trying to get with her moments ago in the kitchen. diverting herself away from the group, lilith made her way to her uncle sam, of whom was standing with some of his friends, some of which lilith noticed as they were also her mothers and fathers friends.
"lili darling, there you are." samuel said, pulling his niece into his arms, the girl smiling at her uncle as she showcased her signature smile to the other adults that were standing around her. they all introduced themselves to lilith, a few even mentioning that she looked so much like her mother, fiona.
the talk of her mother still made lilith's heart ache, the girl missing her mother more and more everyday, wishing she could see her just to tell how about what's been going on with her or to just show her mother how she looks now at the grand age of eighteen.
"we will be right back."
the sound of uncle samuels' voice caught back lilith's attention, the girl wondering why her uncle was directing her away from the group. further enough away from hearing distance of everyone, he pulled her into a hug.
"wha- what are you doing?" lilith said, her words mumbled against her uncle's chest. he pulled away, a. look of concern covering his face, making lilith too concerned.
"you looked sad darling, after they mentioned-"
"oh it's fine sam, if i wasn't drunk right now, i would have probably had a major reaction to it." uncle samuel shook his head, ruffling his niece's hair, of which lilith reacted in pushing her uncle away, the two letting out laughs.
"as long as your fine honey, now go get drunk with you mates."
"don't need to ask me twice."
