Third P.O.V:

The next day, Izuku and Heather were cornered by the Press, who were waiting outside the school. The news that All Might was now a teacher at U.A had shocked many and the media descended on the school causing a commotion for days.

One reporter shoved a microphone in poor Izuku's face and started rattling off questions, giving no pause for him to answer. "You're in All Might's class right? What's he like? Do you see him as a good teacher? What has he taught you so far?"

"E-excuse me, we have to go to the nurses office..." Midoriya stuttered and quickly tried to shuffle his way through the mass of people, with Heather following close behind.

"Come on, can't you answer just one question?" The woman persisted. She grabbed Heather's arm in a vice grip, "what do you think about the number one hero as a teacher?"

Heather struggled against the grip a slow panic beginning to rise in her throat. Izuku also stopped with her and glanced between her and the reporter worriedly.

"I'm sorry, but we really have to get to the nurses office," he said, lightly taking hold of Heather's wrist.

"We wont take up too much of your time!" The woman said, shoving the microphone further into the student's faces.

Heather finally forced her arm out of the woman's rip and frowned at the group of Press. "Please," she started, not so politely, "we will be late for class if we don't go now."

"Well surely you can-" the woman was interrupted by a familiar monotone voice.

"They said they had to go, so let them go." Todoroki said, glaring thinly at the reporters. "You really shouldn't keep students from entering their own school."

He looked at Heather and Izuku and nodded towards the entrance of the school, where they knew the Press couldn't follow even if they wanted to.

As they finally made their way to the entrance of U.A, Heather nodded her gratitude at the boy. "Thank you, Todoroki. I don't think we would've gotten out of that without you."

Todoroki turned his head away from her, as if her sincerity was blinding him somehow. Heather saw a faint red on his cheeks and smiled at the bashfulness of it.

"Whatever." He said in reply, still not looking at her or Izuku, who was observing Todoroki questioningly. Heather realised that she hadn't told Izuku what happened with her and Todoroki after the battles yesterday, and reminded herself to tell him sometime during school.

"I didn't do it for you or Midoriya, I only needed to get passed and they were in the way." Todoroki claimed stubbornly. Then paused. Then quickly added, "I told you, I don't need friends."

Heather continued to smile, amused. "I never said you did."

Todoroki froze then glanced away again. "Lets just get to class..." he trudged away from them.

Izuku and Heather watched him go, looked at each other, and shrugged. Heather accompanied Izuku to the Nurses office but was quickly shooed away by Recovery Girl and told to head to class registration.

=^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^=

"Good job on the battle training yesterday" Aizawa stated, ever so unenthusiastic, to the class once Izuku had returned from the nurses office. "I saw the video and the results. Bakugou-" he caught the boy's attention, "-you're talented, so don't act like a child."

Bakugou looked away begrudgingly and curtly replied with an "I know"

"And Midoriya," the green haired boy froze, "you settled it by breaking your arm again, huh? You can't keep saying that you can help it." Izuku shuffled in his seat, embarrassed.

"I don't like saying the same thing over and over. As long as you fix the control issue, there's a lot you'll be able to do. Feel a sense of urgency, Midoriya."

"Yes sir!"

Aizawa nodded satisfied, Heather saw him glance at her for a brief second but otherwise she went ignored. "Now lets get down to homeroom business. Sorry for the late notice, but today, I'll have you-"

Everyone tensed, "another special test!?"

"-decide on a class representative"

A collective sigh of relieve filled the room. But then Aizawa's words fully settled in and Kirishima jumped up at the opportunity, "I want to class rep! pick me!"

Kaminari also rose his hand enthusiastically, "me too!"

Jiro as well, "I want to do it too."

Aoyama started to join in,"its a job made for me-" Mina interrupted him, "I'll be the leader!"

Mineta waved his arms ecstatically, "my manifesto is for all girls' skirts to be 30cm above the knee!" Heather's face, along with the other girls, scrunched up in disgust.

Bakugou glared at everyone, "Let me do it! Me!"

"Silence please!" Iida shouted across the classroom gaining everyone's attention, "this is a job with the serious responsibility of leading others. Its not a job for anyone that just wants to do it. Its a calling that requires the trust of those around you. If we want to use democracy to decide on a true leader, then we should hold an election to choose one." For all he used logic to push his point, it was clear he wanted to be elected just as much as everyone else.

Heather tilted her head and pondered. She didn't think she'd make a good Class Rep. Compared to other people in her class she wasn't nearly as competent a leader. It was unlikely anyone was going to vote for her, if they did do an election as Iida said.

Heather hadn't gotten off to a great start when she had yelled at them on the first day for questioning her supposed quirk, and she knew her tendency to stick to herself, or Izuku, wasn't an attractive leader quality.

The fact that she didn't even talk to her teammates while they were watching the battles (or do anything when it was their turn) yesterday wasn't good either...

Asui placed a finger on her cheek in contemplation, "but we haven't known each other for very long, so how can we trust someone to lead us?"

Kirishima nodded, "if everyone just votes for themselves..."

Iida didn't give up, "don't you think that is precisely why whoever receives multiple votes here can be truly considered the most suitable person? What do you think Mr. Aizawa?" he asked the man, who was now getting into his yellow sleeping bag.

"I don't care as long as you decide before homeroom is over".

From there everyone agreed to an election.

=^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^=

Election results:

Midoriya Izuku-3 votes

Yaoyorozu Momo-2 votes

Heather smiled, looks like she'd voted well. Izuku was to be the new class rep.

"I got three votes!?" Izuku exclaimed in disbelief, staring at the black board as if it would change the score.

Bakugou stormed up from his desk in fury, "who the hell voted for him!?"

Sero smirked bemusedly, "well, its better than voting for you."

"The fuck did you just say!?"

Iida convulsed in his seat staring grimly at his zero vote score. He'd clearly voted for someone else.

Heather looked at her name and frowned. She'd gotten one vote from someone. Obviously, it hadn't been her as she had voted for Izuku, so... who? Izuku maybe? No, he told her he'd voted for himself, not really thinking he'd win. Then who would've...

Heather's eyes skimmed over the board again and caught something. The only other person who'd gotten zero, other than Iida, was Ochaco.

Heather glanced over her shoulder at the girl. Did she...?

Ochaco met her eyes and grinned while giving her a thumbs up. Heather smiled back and shook her head in exasperation. Honestly...

Izuku and Momo were called up to the front of the class.

"Then its settled," Aizawa said tiredly, "Midoriya is the class rep, and the deputy class rep will be Yaoyorozu"

"S-seriously..." Izuku stuttered, still processing the change.

"This might not be too bad." Asui said with a slight smile, Kirishima agreed. "After all's said and done, Midroiya can get pretty fired up. And Yaoyorozu was cool when going through the battle results."

=^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^=

At lunch, Izuku and Heather had invited Ochaco to sit with them and Shinso.

"The rise is so delicious!" Ochaco said, cheerfully munching on her meal. Next to her, Heather and Shinso ate their meals much more calmly.

Heather placed her fork down and looked at Ochaco questioningly, "Ururaka?"

Said girl hummed in acknowledgment, still happily munching on her rice.

"Were you the one who voted for me in the Election?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. The question gained Izuku's and Shinso's attention.

"Election?" Shinso questioned, puzzled. Izuku nodded, "we had an Vote, in form, on who would be Class Rep." He explained and Shinso made an "oh" sound signalling his understanding.

Heather stared at Ochaco waiting for an answer, to which the girl's cheeks flushed a tinge of pink and she began stuttering sheepishly.

"W-Well-you see-uh-" she fumbled with her fingers for a bit, before bowing her head in defeat on being caught, "yes, it was me."

Heather blinked, "why? I didn't really think I'd be... you know... popular."

Ochaco snapped up her head to meet hers, "really!? I think you'd be great!" she exclaimed with a bright grin, jolting Heather, who was not expecting such an excited response. "Your determination is amazing!" Ochaco continued, "the fact that you haven't given up even after... well... you know,-" she made a vague gesture referring to Heather's quirklessness , "-is amazing! I certainly wouldn't of gotten this far if it was me."

With every word she spoke, Heather was slowly becoming more and more flustered and tomato cheeked. Izuku smiled gleefully at this. Shinso looked confused at the declaration but nonetheless amused at Heather's growing blush.

Ochaco didn't stop there either, "I think with determination and strength like that you'd be a great leader! Never mind what happened in training!"

Shinso rose his eyebrow again, "what happened in training?" He asked. Then, with a playful smirk, added, "you fight any villains?"

Heather rolled her eyes, "well, I don't know about villains, but so far we've fought each other."

Shinso blinked in surprise, "already? They didn't make you just fight robots again?"

"Nope!" Ochaco cut in eagerly. "We were divided into pairs and half of us were supposed to pretend we were villains." Ochaco gabbed her thumb at Izuku, "I got paired with this guy, as heroes."

Shinso leaned back in his seat, "man, that's way better then what we did."

Izuku tilted his head, "why, what did you guys do?"

Shinso gave him a tired look, "a get-to-know-each other exercise."

"Ah."

"Yep"

Ochaco brightened up suddenly, "Hey, have you guys in the general department chosen a class rep yet?"

Shinso rose an eyebrow, "uh, no actually. Its not as important as it is in the Hero course, so we aren't in any rush to-" He stopped suddenly when a shadow overtook the table and looked at the new arrival.

Everyone paused when they saw Iida standing there with a tray of food in his hands, shuffling on his feet nervously. Heather stared at the boy as blankly as possible while Izuku and Ochaco glanced back and forth between her and Iida. Shinso's eyes skimmed over everyone, confused at why they were staring dubiously at the blue haired boy.

"I-I was-" Iida stuttered, and coughed to the side. If Heather wasn't utterly annoyed with his presence interrupting the nice atmosphere they had, she might've felt a pinch of sympathy.

"I was wondering if I could sit with you..." he didn't look at any of them as he said it.

A spark of anger flared in Heather and she frowned at the boy. Sit with them? As if they were friends? As if he hadn't done anything wrong? What was Iida trying to accomplish? He'd shoved her aside on the first day, tried to get Izuku to ignore her, and just expected to sit with them and be friendly? Ochaco was forgiven because she had apologised and, unlike Iida, didn't try to steal her friend, even when they were teamed up in the battles. Iida didn't seem any closer to accepting her and certainly no closer to apologising.

What was he trying to gain?

Iida was still waiting for a reply.

She looked long and hard at him. Surely he knows he isn't welcome here, so why would he ask? It didn't make any sense.

Then it dawned on her. Iida didn't have anyone to sit with. The only spare seats in the cafeteria were at their table. Everywhere else was either full or with the upper years that he didn't know. He was, essentially, alone.

Heather's forehead creased. She hated that she related to that feeling, to Iida, of having no one to sit with. Heather met Izuku's eyes and she could see he realised what was going on as well, but was leaving it up to her to decide on whether or not Iida was allowed to stay.

Iida himself was getting slowly more and more uncomfortable the longer he stood there. He began to turn away and close off, "never mind, I'm sorry for-"

"Sit your ass down Iida." Heather interrupted, refusing to look at him any longer and instead opted to play with the food in front of her.

The boy gawked as she continued to poke at her meal without saying anything more. He steeled himself and stiffly sat down next to Izuku.

They were all silent for a while.

"Speaking of class rep," Izuku said suddenly to break the silence. "Even though I've been chosen for it, I still don't think I'm qualified..."

"You are!" Ochaco said with gleeful certainty, also trying to break the tense atmosphere.

"You got chosen for class rep?" Shinso asked and Heather nodded, "yep, I voted for him myself."

"I didn't know that!" Izuku cried at Heather.

"It'll be fine" Iida said referring to the original statement and trying his luck on joining the conversation. "Your courage and judgement at critical moments makes you worth following. That's why I voted for you."

"You too!?" Izuku gasped and Heather was close to following, staring at him with apprehensive eyes. She wasn't expecting that.

"But didn't you want to class rep, Iida?" Heather asked curtly, and Ochaco added, "yeah, I mean, you've got the glasses and everything." That was not what Heather meant but she decidedly didn't say anything.

Iida stared at Heather for a few seconds. "Wanting to do it and being suitable for it are two different things. I merely judged what I thought to be correct." Iida replied stiffly.

The table grew quiet again.

"I've been thinking Iida..." Ochaco started, a gleam of mischief visible in her eye, "are you a rich boy!?"

Iida froze cold for a minute as he gaped with an open mouth, before closing it in resignation. "I tried to change how I talk because I didn't want to be called that..." His voice spoke of past experience.

Heather twitched. Didn't that just sound familiar.

They all stared at him, imploring him to go on.

Iida sighed, "yes, my family have been heroes for generations. I'm the second son of the Iida family." They all blinked, wide eyed, at him.

"Do you know the Turbo hero, Ingenium?" He continued.

"Of course!" Izuku exclaimed excitedly, "he's a really popular hero who has 65 sidekicks working at his Tokyo agency!" a flash of realisation crossed his face, "don't tell me..."

"He's my older brother!" Iida bellowed proudly, and in this brief moment, he forgot the tense relationship he shared with them. "He is a likable hero who follows the rules and leads people. I set my sights on being a hero because I want to be just like him. However, I still think it is too soon for me to be leading others. Unlike me, Midoriya realised the point of the practical entrance exam, so he is more suitable for the job." He paused noticing the other were staring at him.

"You know this might be the first time I've seen you smile Iida." Iida sputtered at Ochaco though Heather had to agree with her. For all the time she's known Iida (which, to be fair, wasn't very long), she doesn't think she's seen him quite so... Passionate about something. It disappoints her that she knows they don't get along. Looking at Iida like this almost makes her happy for him. Almost. But not quite.

Izuku gave them all slight smile, but when he was about to carry on the conversation he was interrupted by a school alarm.

"A drill?" Heather said worriedly.

A mechanical voice echoed through the school, "There has been a Level 3 security breach. All students, please evacuate outdoors promptly. I repeat-"

"What's Level 3?" Shinso asked a Third year student.

"It means someone is trespassing on school grounds! I've never seen anything like this in my 3 years here! You should all hurry."

Students pushed and shoved as everyone piled together in a rush to get through the exit. The stampead of students all trampled over each other in such a disorganised mess that Heather lost her friends in the noise of it all. Random elbows pierced her sides as she was cramped into the middle of the crowd and she tried not stumble, less she get stomped on and left.

A voice caught her attention in the wave of chaos, "Everyone! Everything's fine!" Heather looked up and saw Iida on top of the exit sign, above the door, elevating his voice for everyone to hear. Strangely enough, his position made him look a lot like the running man on the Exit sign itself.

"It is just the media! There is nothing to panic about! Everything is fine! This is U.A! Let us act in a way befitting of the best of the best!"

Everyone gave a simultaneous sigh of relieve as Iida's words reached them and the absolute chaos of the corridor was now calm and collected.

Sirens were heard in the distance and getting closer to the school. Finally this mess was over.

Heather stared at Iida as everyone, now more calmly, exited the building with relieved smiles. Her brows narrowed contemplatively.

=^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^=

Izuku stood shakily in front of the class, staring at everyone with nervous eyes. "R-right, first business, lets decide the other class officers..." he squeaked out. Momo gave him a concerned glance, watching the boy shaking with uncontrolled nerves.

"But first," Izuku said looking down, "c-can I say something?"

Everyone listened curiously.

Izuku gulped and glanced at Heather, cautious of her reaction. She gave him a reassuring smile and nodded.

"I think that... Iida Tenya should be the class rep!"

Iida startled.

Izuku continued, "he was able to get everyone's attention in such a cool way. I think that it would be best for Iida to be leading us."

"I'm good with that too." Kirishima said with a grin, "Midoriya's saying it, and its true Iida was a big help in the cafeteria."

"yeah," agreed Kaminari, "he kinda looked like the person on the emergency exit sign, didn't he?"

"I nominate Iida as well." Heather called out. Iida's head swiveled round to her, jaw slacked and wide eyed.

"You're wasting time." Aizawa cut in with his yellow sleeping bag curled around him. "I don't care what you pick, just hurry up and do it." He then lay down to nap.

Iida quickly got over his shock and stood up, "well, if the class has nominated me, then i guess it cannot be helped." He rose his hand dramatically, "from this day forward, I, Iida Tenya, promise to do my best to carry out the duties of class representative."

Kirishima gave him a thumbs up, "counting on you, Emergency exit!"

Momo deadpanned, "what about me?"

"You're fine Yaoyorozu." Heather said and went up to pat her on the back.

She could feel Iida's gaze on the back of her head, almost burning through her skull.

=^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^==^.^=

"Shiori! Wait!" Iida called to the girl as she was about to go out of the classroom to meet up with Izuku.

Heather turned around and rose an eyebrow at him, "what?" She asked unconcerned.

Iida strode in front of her, placing his hands on his hips and pressing his lips into a thin line, "I thought you didn't like me."

Heather shrugged, "I don't"

"Then why vote for me?" Iida frowned at her, "Why did you nominate me for class rep?"

Heather shuffled on her feet, "because you're good at it. Nothing more, nothing less."

Iida folded his arms and Heather sighed, seeing that he wasn't convinced. "Look Iida, I voted for Midoriya because he was my friend, because I liked him better than anyone else in the room. But I've known Midoriya for a year now and I knew he got nervous with these things, I knew he didn't feel confident or comfortable enough to be class rep. But I voted for him anyway. It was a selfish decision." She said, and exhaled. "I could've chosen Yaoyorozu or Asui, I know their abilities to analyse a situation and to stay calm. But I chose Midoriya instead."

Iida looked almost dumbstruck with the confession, but Heather wasn't done. "You didn't do that." She said. "You voted for him because you believed he had the skills necessary for the job of class rep, despite the relationship you guys have..."

She met his eyes, "after seeing what you did at lunch, I decided to follow your example and choose someone who has the skills necessary to be class rep. That just happened to be you. But like I said, this doesn't mean I like you anymore than I did yesterday."

Iida stood quiet and still as she left for the door and walked out.
