I'm waiting restlessly for Chris to come back and tell me what's going on.

An hour after he left, Eldridge called me to ask why Christian was in his house with two police officers. It took some time for me to explain to him what happened.

He said he was trying to find out too, but he never got anywhere with it.

I called Chris countless times, but he doesn't pick up.

It took a lot of self control to not tell my mom everything when she asked why I was mad.

It's getting darker outside. I know they probably won't find everything out in one day, but I still want an update.

The bell rings and I note that it's already been changed to a Christmas tone.

My dad loved doing it every year, so my mom just carried it on.

I open the door and Eldridge stands in front of me.

"Hey... Did you find anything?"

"Hey. What are you doing here?"

"Just came to check on you. Can I come in?"

I hesitate for some time, but then I let him in anyway.

He took Drew to come see me a few times when I was in the hospital and they were also here for the welcome party, but we never spoke.

Until today.

"So?" I ask crossing my arms against my chest.

"Did you... Did you guys find anything yet?" He asks.

"No"

"Oh um... Look I'm sorry okay. I didn't know" he says looking me straight into my eyes.

I raise an eyebrow.

"I'm serious. I didn't know. I had nothing to do with it"

OK, I'm lost. What is he talking about?

"What exactly didn't you know?" I asks hiding the fact that I have no clue about what he's saying.

"That there was someone else in the house. I didn't have anything to do with that voice note. She broke a window and that's how she got in. I swear I never asked her to do anything. I'm so sorry all of that happened, but I had no idea"

"Wait, wait, wait. What are we talking about again? Who broke into your house? and what voice note are you talking about?" I finally ask.

"You don't know? Christian didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what!?" I yell impatient.

"That night. Delanxy broke into my house. She recorded everything and send it to Christian with my phone. When I called him after that, he assumed I was calling to make him jealous or something, but I just wanted to tell him that you'd stay over. When you left, I was so confused and I knew something was wrong somewhere, so I checked my security cameras and saw her" Eldridge explains.

I can't believe this bitch. What the hell is wrong with her?

"And Christian knows about all of this?" I ask.

He nods.

"Are you sure of what you're talking about, or is this one of your other shit?"

"I swear on my life. I told him everything. He was even the one who took me and the cops to Delanxy's house to arrest her"

"She's arrested? Then how the fuck did she send me chocolate?"

"Well... Let's just say I didn't have the heart to keep her there. She cried every second and she refused to eat anything. She felt guilty after she heard about your coma and I asked them to let her go after six days"

"Why! You should've kept her there until I was out of the damn coma. You idiot!"

"Seriously? Anyway. I know I'm not good enough for you and I'll never be, but I'd never do something like that to you. I respect you a lot and I can't imagine someone doing that to my daughter. I'm sorry"

I nod my head a couple of times.

Why the fuck did psycho ass Christian not tell me anything?

"Sit" I say.

"I was actually not going to stay. I just wanted to say I'm sorry. There's something else I'd like us to talk about, but not today"

"Hmm 'kay. It wasn't your fault"

"Are you home alone?"

"Yes I am. Megan went hone and my mom went out. How's Drew?"

"She's fine. She complained yesterday that she didn't really get to talk to you on your party, cause people were swarming around you like bees"

"Aww. Say hi for me, will ya?"

"Yeah I will. I... I don't think Erica is your sister"

"What? Why?"

"Well, she's a couple of years older than you and she was born in Mexico. She had a video of when her mom gave birth to her. And I've seen pictures of her and her parents while growing up. Just saying, it's probably just a big coincidence that you two look so much alike"

"Did you tell the cops this?"

"Yeah. I also gave them some of the video tapes. I gave them the address to her parents house too"

"Thank you" I say and hug him.

"You're welcome. It's no big deal actually" he answers and hugs me back tightly.

"What the hell's going on here? And what are you doing here?" Christian's voice booms through the room.

Eldridge's body jerks and pushes me off of him.

I roll my eyes. What's it with him. Is he scared of Chris or something?

"Don't worry. I was just leaving" Eldridge says and he starts walking away.

"Let me see you out" I say ignoring Chris completely.

"No I'm good I'll..." Eldridge tries, but I cut him off.

"I said I'll see you out. Didn't I?"

I walk him to the door and say our good nights, before he leaves.

When I walk back into the living room the look Chris gives me could drop a bird from the sky.

"What the fuck was all that about?" He yells at me.

"I can hear you properly and I'm not deaf. So if you don't mind I'd like you to fucking talk and not scream" I spit back at him.
