Chapter five: knights of order

The two friends pulled Aika towards a tree as she burst into tears not being able to comprehend what happened.
Isaiah considered calling his father but then remembered that he was lost... He turned towards little Lilin and asked:

"So what do we do?"

Lilin looked up and then shook her head before going back to comforting Aika.

However, it would turn out they had no need for action as the action found them.

"So, you brats saw what happened?"

They got frightened to hear such a cold voice but then turned and saw it was a young woman in a red chain mail dress with silver to red armour with white hair and sunset eyes.

But she received no answer so she sighed:

"Yo, human girl, I suppose that was your family?"

"Leave her alone! You big jerk!" Isaiah stood up trying to be brave even though he was terrified of this woman.

But this only served for her amusement:

"You got spunk kid! I like it!" She rubbed him on the head as if he was a tot.

"Y-yes, they were, and I'm going to find out who did it!" Aika clutched her fist

"Wow, you guys are tough kids. But we already know who did it. And he is dead, you guys will have to come with me for questioning then I have an... Offer for you three." The woman smirked before leading the children to the portal where she came.

(Note: I might not update in a while as Wattpad is glitching for some reason and it won't let me update.) So, for now, I'll just add extras on chapters that are already posted)

Extra:

'Through all the suffering.'

"Don't you regret it?" A voice asked the young almond-eyed woman who was chained up, she looked as if she had been tormented, she wore silver armour and a torn-up chain mail dress.

"What's there to regret? I saved a life... Even if I must remain here forever as punishment for my deeds then... It's fine. At least I know that those two brothers will have each other. My only regret is not being able to save their mother... The most I could do is prolong her life so that she could hold her baby..." Tears fell from her eyes as if she was in deeper pain than she already was. But the voice only sighed cruelly:

"You are an idiot, Katerina..."

And vanished.

But when he left Katerina looked up at the ceiling and smiled softly. It was all the suffering she went through. She had no regrets.
