Your POV

I was woken up by someone shaking my arm lightly. I looked to see Akane. I was on his shoulder. "We should start going. I'll walk you home." He said.

I nodded and he helped me off the ground. We began to walk to the Lab as it was slowly getting dark. He looked st Mr ad I was looking off at the distance. "Why are you staring at me?" I asked. He jumped slightly. "Hm? Oh! Sorry... I didn't know I was." He said. I chucked and pushed his arm. "Its fine Akane. Calm down" I said. He chuckled and nodded. We eventually made it to the lab. I found Stein outside in his swivel chair glaring at Akane. "She was supposed to be home an hour ago." He said.

Akane gulped. "She fell asleep sir." He said. Stein glanced at me as I grabbed the back if his swivel chair and turned him around. "Akane. I'll see you tomorrow. Thank you for walking me home." I said. He nodded and gave a smile and a small wave before disappearing through the gates. I looked at Stein. "What the hell dude?" I asked. He looked at me before pushing himself inside the lab.

"Don't you 'what the hell dude' me." He said. I walked in after him. "Fine. What the hell man?" I said. He turned and rose a brow. "You probably scared the living crap out of Akane!  Now he might not even come over! Are you ins-" I started
I was cut off when he smirked.

"Why are you smirking?" I asked. "Can you not hear yourself? It sounds like you my dear has a crush." He said before chuckling "and you think its funny? And for your information Stein, I do not have a crush on Akane!" I said. I walked through the living room and to the kitchen grabbing a snack.

"Don't you deny it!" He said as he followed me. Still smirking. "That smirk is going to get stuck of you keep that up." I said. He leaned down and chuckled. "And you're going to be stuck red if you keep blushing like that." He whispered.

I pushed him from me letting him hit the fridge. He just chuckled. I walked off to the couch and sat down. I grabbed my homework and began working on it and ignoring Stein as he walked around.

Stein's POV

I promised her mother I'd protect her daughter. And I am. With the help of Akane. But I fear she's starting to grow up. And its because I made her have to go on that damn date with Akane.

I looked at her and sure enough she passed out. Again doing my homework. I chuckled as I got the books off of her. I picked her up and carried her off to bed. I felt her grab onto my shirt as I smiled lightly.

I laid her on her bed after tucking her in. I went to go to the door and getting the light when I felt her grip tighten on my wrist. I turned and she was still asleep. I walked back over and took off my glasses and shies before crawling into bed next to her.

I moved slowly beside her and she moved into my chest. I released a small gasp before letting my arms wrap around her. I heard her mumble something as she slept. "Dad..." Was what it was.

I looked at her and smiled before kissing her forehead. I listened to her sleep before I slowly drifted to sleep myself.

~Next Morning~

Your POV

I woke up the next morning with arms around me. I looked up slowly to see pale skin and a lab coat. He was snoring lightly and blushed a bit. I moved and I heard him breathe in sharply before one arm left my side to his face. "You should do your homework earlier than what you did.." He said. I looked at him.

"Is that why you're in her? You sleep with the students that do their homework?" I asked. He chuckled and looked at me. "No I carried you in here and you grabbed my wrist before I could make it to the door." He said. I nodded and sat up.

He let me go and tucked an arm under his head. I yawned and stretched before I looked at him. "What?" I asked. "What did you dream about?" He asked. I looked st him confused. "Just answer the question. I looked at my hands.

"It was an old family memory." I said. "Was your dad in it?" He asked. I nodded and he sat up. He pulled me over. "That explains why you called me Dad last night." He said. I hugged him as he let Mr sit on his lap. "There is more than just that. To that reason at least." I said. "Then what's the other?" He asked. I shook my head. "Just give me the reason." He said I sighed. "You're like a dad to me..." I said. He gasped lightly before pulling me in tightly. He buried his head into the crook of my neck as he held me tightly. "Stein? Are you OK?" I asked. He looked at me as a single tear ran down his cheek. "I've never been better." He said. I smiled and hugged him. He hugged back and sniffed. "Dammit.. Only you know how to get my feels to work." He said. I chuckled and wiped his face. "I'm supposed to." I said. "Indeed."

So I think I said that the readers father died a while ago from something. But just not what. Do any of you remember? I just need to know what happened because then I'd be able to continue this the way I have planned... Curse my memory!! TCCL out!
