Noble Phantasm
(Y/N) POV
I waited at the door to see Kiritsugu and Lisa finally return
"What happened here?" Lisa asks looking at the busted door
"Rider," I mutter
"Looks like we need to move," Kiritsugu says
"Read my mind," I mumble silently
"Is it safe for a night?" Lisa asks
"If I stand watch, you can rest till morning," I say
"Perfect," She says as they disappear in the mansion. It seems like that was an order to stand watch. As I did that all night. In the morning, Lisa comes from within the mansion ready to leave.
"Let's head to where you guys battled Caster, we may find some hints as to where they are," Lisa says as I walk.
The walk was silent until we reached the place where we battled with Caster.
"Any clues as to where Caster may be hiding?" She asks. I think back
"I couldn't get close, but he smelled of sewers," I say
"Wanna check them?" Lisa asks
"You got rubber boots?" I tease
"I can buy some," She says as we head toward the city. As said, Lisa picked up some boots and we headed toward the sewer. As we entered them
"Uhh, it stinks," Lisa complains
"Ya think?" I respond as we enter the tunnels. Lisa turns on a light as we continue
"Kiritsugu, how do you think of him?" I ask Lisa
"He's a guy who just wants good," Lisa asks
"I see," I mutter
"As for you?" Lisa asks
"I think we should weary," I answer
"I disagree," Lisa answers
"I understand," I mutter
"I still don't understand why you aren't in the books about King Arthur. You two seem close to each other," Lisa says
"King Arthur and hi...or should I say her Knights. Outshines a lot of other Knights," I answer
"Maybe, but you did something to became a heroic spirit," Lisa says
"And simply serving under King Arthur won't give you a ticket," She says
"I don't understand either," I say as we approach an opening. Instantly, I smell death as we enter
"What's the smell?" Lisa asks
"Death, we found his hideout," I tell her as she shines around. Mounds....and mounds of flesh are stalked around the large opening in the sewer
"Poor people, they did nothing wrong. If only we could have saved them," Lisa mutters
"say, do you mean that?" I ask as she looks at me
"Of course I do," She mutters
"May I use my noble phantasm then?" I ask
"I don't understand," Lisa asks
"Yes or no?" I ask
"I guess," She answers
I pull my sword out and then dig it into the ground
I mutter some phrases as my blade starts to light up
"Dear, lady of the lake, and dearest Mother Nature. I ask one thing." I say as the whole opening starts glowing
The light falls after a minute.
"Oh my god," Lisa says as she shines her light
The light falls on children, dozens of them.
"They're alive, you revived them," Lisa says in complete shock
"I remember your blade now. A sword of both life....and destruction, that is what Milunder is," Lisa says
"Indeed, let's get these children to safety," I say
"Your amazing," Lisa says. Her tone has changed. Before, when she spoke. Her voice was non-different. Know, I can hear she has more humanity when she speaks to me
We navigated the tunnels with dozens of children following us. Once outside. The police were called and we disappeared as they appeared. One can hope the children have people to return to.
Lisa has a bitter tone to her face
"Shall we return and wait for Caster?" I ask as she smiles
"Damn right we are," She says as she marches in the tunnels once again
"First of all, I wish for you to stay discrete and a fair bit away," I tell her as we walk back
"I agree, I'll let you handle this," She says as we continue
Finally, we once again reach the opening where the kids were. I tell Lisa to hang back as I find a place fit for an ambush. It's easily turning night, navigating these tunnels is time-consuming
I wait in silence as I listen to the air. Finally, I hear someone coming.
"Oh, Dear! What happened to all my prey! They've disappeared!" I hear a voice echo
"Ah man, I told you we have need to leave," Another voice says, I'm guessing Casters master. They walk into my sight as I ready my sword
"It appears someone has found us," Caster says as he looks around the once death filled room
"I thought this would be the best hiding spot, and our art....it's gone!" A teenager says disappointed
"Now, now, there are different places we can store our catch and many more people to kill," Caster says. They turn to leave...and that's when I strike.
I drive my blade up as I launch myself toward Caster. With both speed and power, I swing my Longsword down onto Caster.
In a swift movement, Caster dodges the surprise attack alongside his master
"It appears we've stumbled to the person responsible," Caster says as he steps away and takes out a book
"Now, it's time for you to perish alongside your master," Caster continues as tentacle monsters start appearing. I slash them as they dispel
"Oh, I remember you...you fought alongside my beloved," He says crazily
"You look ugly, and so do your Lil monsters," I mutter as I slice them up. I try to get to him, but I have no such luck.
After a while, I sense that Lisa is in trouble
"I've found your master," Caster says as he smiles wildly
I turn my back as I rush to Lisa. It appears the monsters have gotten to her faster then I could cut them up.
Luckily, when I reached her. She was protected in a barrier she made. I crash through the barrier and grab her as I make a sprint out. No point in fighting him, I'm doing nothing anyways.
Once we reach a fair distance away, I set Lisa down as we think about what happened
"Those were...creepy," Lisa comments
"And annoying," I add-in
"How are we supposed to deal with Caster!" She says a bit frustrated
"I'm unsure, if we had a more open space, I could deal with him, but I'm not sure," I say
"Shall we report to Kiritsugu?" I ask
"I believe so," Lisa responds as we make our way out. An hour passes before we finally reach the exit. Much to my surprise, I spot Caster out in the middle of some water.
Then, I get a spine chilling moment as he holds a book. Lisa catches on as well.
"Something big is coming," She mutters as I sense other spirits showing up. By now, the sky is dark. And Caster is emitting purple smoke.
"What is he doing---," Lisa begins to say, but as she does. Caster makes, summons? Spawns? Ok, I don't know. But one moment he is standing in the middle. And the next he is a giant ugly creature. The thing is a few stories high....it's huge!
I sense other spirits grouping up
"Master, I believe other servants are grouping up for a plan of attack...I think it will be wise to plan with them." I propose
"Lead us to them," Lisa says as I make my way. By now, the spirits have scattered, but one remains with other people who I guess are masters. We reach them and I see Irisviel with a spirit I remember as Lancer
"Greetings," I say as they turn to me
"Lisa your here," Irisviel says
"What's happening," Lisa asks. A giant monster that's what
"Caster seems to have control over a giant creature, luckily it's not onshore. And Caster must supply it with mana, but once it's onshore, it can provide itself mana," Irisviel response
"Anything we can do to help?" Lisa asks
"You can help them...but I don't assume you can walk on water," Lancer says
"I can much like Saber," I say as Lisa looks at me
"you can walk on water?" She asks
"Indeed, my blade and my Blessings allow me to," I say
"Then attack," Lisa orders as I start running to the giant beast. It looks like a giant mob of tentacles. I can see Saber and Rider mowing them down. I join in and start slashing. Unlike the other monsters. This one appears to be able to regenerate itself after my blade cuts it...that's rare...very rare.
I cut....and cut....and cut....and I get nowhere. Finally, something happens. The monster suddenly stops. What's it doing? After a minute. It starts thrashing around again...almost as in rage. I attack it to defend myself as tentacles launch attacks on me
Finally, Rider orders us to retreat. And I do so gladly
Once we are back on dry land, we set out for another plan
"Listen, I can buy you all some time until you figure out how to defeat it," Rider proposes. I tune out there discussions as I turn to Lisa
"I ask of you? May I use my true Noble Phantasm?" I ask Lisa as she looks confused
"Anything to beat it," She says determined
"Now, are you willing to give up a command seal?" I ask as she nods yes
"Order me to defeat it," I say as I turn to the others
"I believe you all should wait," I mutter as Saber looks at me with calm eyes
"We don't have any time to waste," Rider says
"I agree, trust me," I say as Saber reassures Rider. I give Lisa the signal to use the commend seal. Once she does, I feel magic power flow through my body.
I walk toward the beast with my sword in hand. I stop as I stare at it
"Dear Lady of the Lake, and Dearest Mother Nature," I begin
"I ask of many things,"
"But answer just one,"
"With both the power of life and power of death,"
"I ask you," I finish as I point my sword at the creature
"To die," I mutter as giant waves of water crash against the giant monster.
It screams are muffled by water hitting it as the water speed is so high that it becomes like cement. The sky gets even darker than the night sky as thunderheads roll in, and Lightning starts striking the monstrosity
The bolts of lightning strike it every second as extra water becomes giant swords and start striking the beast. Then, water completely surrounds it as it encases the tentacle monster inside, making a ball-like shape
Slowly, the ball gets smaller...and smaller... And smaller. Until you can't see it anymore.
Then, the water that was made in the ball suddenly gets released back to where it comes from...Caster or his creature is nowhere to be found.
I slowly walk back to shore, to see the Masters and Spirits eyes on me. Before, I was flying under the radar for threat levels,
I'm sure I just topped the list
