"We're here." Clarke says as she stops in front of the same hut we came to looking for her. The same blonde woman is standing there, sword at the ready.
"Are you sure she's going to let us in?" I ask from Bellamys lap. Raven starts to move slightly signaling she's about to get up. Clarke looks back to me, "she's going to have to."
Bellamy opens the door and I hop off his lap to get out and he follows behind. Clarke quickly walks up to the woman as me and Bellamy follow.
"We need to get inside." Clarke says and the woman shakes her head.
"No, skaikru is not welcome here." She spits.
"Please, Niylah, is your father here?" Clarke begs the woman.
"No, my father is dead. Part of an army killed by your people sent to protect you." I swallow hard and look at Bellamy who sighs. "We don't have time for this." He says and raises his gun. "Move." He tells her, she glares at him but does so anyway as everyone piles out of the rover. Sinclair is carrying Raven, she starts to wake up in his arms and we rush her into the the woman's home all the way toward the back as Clarke directed. She starts screaming and struggling to get free but Miller and Jack quickly tie her to the bed post. She punches Miller in the face forcing us to all hold her down as she continues to scream.
"Let me go! Where the hell am I?" Her voice is deeper and rough, like she's possessed, this isn't Raven.
Finally we're able to secure her to the bed post but she doesn't stop the screaming. Fed up with her constant yelling I walk out of the room and the others follow to see Bellamy still keeping an eye on Niylah to ensure she doesn't try anything.
"How the hell do we get that thing out of her head?" Clarke questions. "Working on it." Monty replies with a nod from Sinclair.
"I'll watch Raven for now with Jasper." I say and they nod as I step back into the room with Jasper and Raven. They both look toward me. Jasper seems grateful and Raven smirks.
"Look who finally decided to stop moping about because of Bellamy. I don't know why you stay with him, he wasn't that good in bed." I grind my teeth together and clench my fist.
"Taylor, it's Allie just trying to get under your skin. Don't let her." Jasper explains. I know he's right, after all, Raven and Bellamy never even slept together. Still doesn't mean that it doesn't make me angry.
"You don't look so well, are you sure the baby is okay? All this stress and physical strain you're putting yourself through can be bad for the baby. It sometimes leads to miscarriage if you're not careful." I walk closer to the bed post as Jasper holds me back, he doesn't have to though. I just wanted to talk. "Shut up, you don't know anything about me or my baby or what I'm going through so shut up!" I yell.
"Taylor, I'm still Raven, your friend. I know you." She says her voice changing to a softer tone, almost like it's actually Raven again. But I know better.
"No, you're not her. But you will be again once we get the chip out of you and shut you down, Allie." I say now talking to Allie. Raven goes back to smirking and even though I knew it was a act my heart stings a little.
"You won't be successful." She says and starts to try and get her hands free. She reaches for the ties with her mouth, for a second I think she will give up because if she leans to the right anymore she will dislocate her shoulder. As I had imagined her shoulder pops and I flinch. Even though Allie has taken over it's still Ravens body.
"Stop!" I yell to her but she doesn't listen and tries to untie the rope with her teeth.
"Raven! Stop!" Jasper shouts but of course she doesn't listen. Bellamy and Clarke come rushing in and once they see her Clarke tells us to hold her down as she keeps struggling.
"Why are you doing this, Allie?" Jasper shouts at Raven. Raven stops her movements. "Clarke has something I need." She says and Clarke shakes her head. "No way."
Raven resumes her struggling. "If you hurt Raven you will never get what you want, Allie!" Clarke threatens. The struggling stops again and Raven relaxes.
"Unite her arms, her wrists are bleeding again and I need to pop her shoulder back into place." Clarke says. Jasper and Bellamy hold her arms as Clarke puts her boot on her shoulder and pushes. The shoulder pops back into place and they set her arms down.
"I'll change her bandages and stitch the cuts back up again." I say. Jasper hands me some bandage and a wire used to stitch while Bellamy and Clarke clear out. I take the bloody bandages off and clean the blood dripping down her arm. I then stick up the few cuts and wrap the bandage around it loosely to let it breathe. Since she didn't break the stitches on the other wrist I just changed the bandages.
"Clarke left you all for a long time and suddenly she just comes and bosses everyone around like nothing ever happened? Looks like there's a new Queen now." I roll my eyes at the play on words from my last name. I didn't mind it when other people were doing it but with Allie mocking me it made me annoyed.
"I don't care." I state.
"You will. You work so hard to help lead these people but she's coming in and doing the same thing but people will thank her for it and not you. After all she is the almighty Wanheda."
"I don't need anyone's gratitude, I do what I do because it's the right thing to do. And I don't think Wanheda--the name given to her because of all the people she killed-- is a name I would want for myself. Nor do I think she wants it for herself." I explain. I don't know why I'm giving Allie the time of day but I always have the need to defend myself no matter what.
"And what about you, Jasper? I know you hate Clarke for killing your girlfriend, but I mean rather it be her and the mountain men than all of us, right?" She smirks.
"That's enough!" I shout at her. I look to Jasper to see his eyes watery. "She was better than anyone here and if anyone deserved to live on this earth it was her not anyone at Arkadia!" He shouted pointing at Raven. I don't take his words personally because he's in pain still.
"Well I guess it's a shame that everyone at Arkadia is alive meanwhile she's in the dirt. Oh wait, did you even get to bury her or was she simply ashes by the time radiation had struck her?" She sends a wicked smirk his way and my stomach twists at her words.
"You're done." I say and grab the gag that was on her before we tied her to the bed post. I shoved it in her mouth and wrapped it tightly around her head. She didn't argue and simply rolled her eyes. I walk over to Jasper. "Hey, maybe go step outside for awhile and take a breath." I say putting my hand on his shoulder. He swallows and nods. He slowly walks out of the room and I sigh. I hope one day he won't hurt so much anymore.
"Hey, I can take over if you want. Go take a nap or something. You're pregnant." Miller walks in. I've barely been watching Raven for a half hour yet I'm already so done with her.
"Thanks, Miller." I say and walk out into the main room.
I go to the corner of the room and take a seat on the floor against the wall. I run my hands over my face and tuck my hair behind my ears. This is all so stressful. Raven offered me that same thing thats inside her not all but a couple days ago and now Allie is controlling her and making her say hateful things.
"Hey." Jack says as he takes a seat by me. I lift my head up to look at him and he sends me a small smile. "Hey."
"You doing okay?" I smile at that, when did he become so sweet? "As okay as I can be I guess. How about you?"
"I don't think we need to worry about me. I'm not the pregnant one." I roll my eyes, or course the pregnancy makes everyone worry ten times more than they already do. "Jack, don't brush yourself aside like that. If something's wrong with you, tell me. You've been supportive of me and I will show the same support back." He laughs lightly.
"Thanks T, but I promise you I'm doing fine. I just worry about you." He places his hand on my knee and I smile. "There's no need to worry, I can handle myself you know I learned from the best." I smirk and nudge him. He smiles.
"Those were fun times, weren't they?"
I nodded and laughed lightly recalling a memory. "I remember you teaching me how to shoot and I barely knew anything and I didn't realize I was waving the gun around."
He glares playfully at me, "that was not funny, everyone in the room was ducking for cover. I almost died." I roll my eyes at him, "oh, don't be so dramatic."
"You had the gun pointed at me like three times that day." He quips. "Maybe I had it pointed at you for a reason!" I tease.
"Sure, because after that we went back to my place and--" I slap his arm before he can say his next word as I notice Bellamy now standing before us.
"No, go ahead, finish what you were saying." Bellamy crosses his arms waiting for Jack to continue. I sigh as Jack looks at me almost asking for permission to actually continue his sentence. Jack then looks up at Bellamy and then back to me. "It doesn't matter, it was in the past." Jack says. I give him a nod and he gets up from the floor and walks away. Bellamy takes his place on the floor next to me.
"We were having a conversation." I tell Bellamy letting him know I'm not entirely happy about him barging in on my conversation. I liked reminiscing back to some really good days especially now when the days that have past aren't that great.
"About how he was with you just to screw you?" I'm taken aback by Bellamys harsh words. I then remembered that I never told him what Jack had told me. "Bellamy, Jack only said that because he had feelings for me and he was scared especially since I was breaking up with him. He wanted it to hurt me as I hurt him." He shakes his head letting out a small humorless laugh.
"So he still loves you?" My brows furrow in confusion. "That's not what I said at all."
"When did you two become so close?" He questions me and I sigh thinking it's better to just answer his questions now.
"The night you joined Pike." I whisper knowing how it must look to him.
"So you befriended him to what? To make me jealous? To make me angry?" His voice hinted at his irritation and I wondered silently where this sudden mood shift came from because he was telling me he loved me not all but an hour ago.
"No, Bellamy, It just happened to be that night. Why are you acting this way towards me?" I question him. He sighs and runs his hands down his face.
"I'm sorry, I'm jealous because you guys have a long history and you use to hate him and now you're practically best friends with the guy."
I nod my head, I figured it had to do with jealousy. "That's all it is and ever will be--History. You are my present and this baby is our future." I gently raise my hand to the side of his face being cautious of his new wounds.
"You'll take me back? After everything?" His voice is soft and holds caution as if I would play with his heart like that. I nod my head.
"But you said in the rover..." he trails off recalling when I had told him. I shake my head, "Bellamy, I say a lot of things I don't mean. Half the time I don't even know what I'm saying, it's the pregnancy." He cracks a smile at me and places his hand on my stomach. His touch sends the butterflies whirling in my stomach still to this day.
"How's he doing in there?" He asks and I place my hand over his. "He?" I raise my eyebrow at him and he smiles. "Yes, he, well at least I hope it's a he."
"Why?" I ask him. He shrugs, "I just want a boy." I smile at his words.
"And the name for this boy?" He looks at me shocked as if thinking of a name for our baby was strange.
"You want to think of names?" His boyish grin makes its appearance and my heart melts at the sight of it.
"If you want to, I know it's early and--" he cuts me off with a quick kiss and in that moment when our lips had met I had felt whole again. Like pieces of me were fitting back together.
"It's not, I want to do this with you." He says, I nod. "You have any ideas?" I ask rubbing my thumb on his hand that is still placed on my stomach.
"Atlas." He states while looking at my stomach. "Why?" He looks at me and I swear his face shades red. I take his hand and intertwine it with mine. "Tell me."
"Its mythology." I smile at his words. "I'd love to hear it." He sends me a smile too.
"Atlas is my favorite god of mythology. The story goes, there was a war between the Titans and the Olympians. He was a Titan god and leader of the Titans while at war." I interrupt his story to ask him a question. "Did the Titans win?" I ask hopeful. He smirks at me. "I was getting there." I blush and nod at him to continue.
"Zeus was an Olympian god and leader of the Olympians. They went to war and the Titans lost. So Zeus gave him a punishment. He made Atlas hold the earth on his shoulders. An eternity of endurance. Not only was Atlas known for carrying the world on his back he was the god of astronomy and navigation." I fall in love with him more as he tells the story and how passionate he is for stories of mythology.
"Atlas set up the world for navigated travel and wonderment as people looked up at the sky. He helped navigate people to their destination. This baby is helping navigate me to a beautiful future with you." When he finishes his explanation tears have fallen down my cheeks. He grabs my face in his hands and wipes my tears away with his thumbs.
"Why are you crying?" He asks. "Because I love you, because I can't wait for you to tell Atlas this same story you are telling me now when he asks how he got his name." I see tears now water in his eyes and he pulls me in for a kiss. His lips are chapped and dry but I don't care, all I care about is that they are pressed to mine. They work smoothly with my lips and my heart pounds harder at the contact I'm having with him after not having any at all. He is the first to pull away and I'm a little saddened by it until I hear his sweet words.
"I missed you and now that I've got you back I will never let you go again. Atlas turned the heavens on their axis and caused the stars to revolve. I am simply a star and your the heavens. My whole existence revolves around you."
A/N:
This was such a block of cheese! But this could possibly be my favorite chapter I've ever written! I love mythology so much and I loved incorporating it into the story which wasn't hard because Bellamy is total mythology trash anyways. Guess that makes two of us.
Anyways, Atlas is my favorite and I love everything he is and the part he plays in Greek mythology. And I think Bellamys reasoning for the name was the cutest thing ever. Also the ending of this chapter has me feeling all types of things. I just love Bellamy and Taylor's relationship so much and I love their love.
I know this was a short chapter especially compared to the other ones but I think it's a good kind of short.
Please comment and let me know what you think of this chapter! These past few days I've been getting so many comments and they make me so happy so thank you! And thanks for all the votes! I love all of you so much and I'm just so happy with this chapter and I hope you guys are too.
Much love, xoxo.
