Om had to shake him continuously a few more times and only then shivaay blinked out of his trance to realize the circumstances around which they were now. Still he couldn't completely ignore other thoughts, he was scared, he tried calling Rudra with his mobile but it just wouldn't connect.

Om - shivaay!

Shivaay gave him a sudden look of wonder and caught his hand immediately.

S- hmm... O... Om come with me.

He dragged him along and rushed to the left corner of that floor.

Om- shivaay, where... Shivaay

Om was soon bewildered when he saw him revealing a small tunnel that was enclosed behind the wooden door which he just broke open now.

S- Om take this route, if you're quick enough you'll reach the other side,which is the beach station road in  30 minutes, approximately. Once you

On interrupted him soon as he was curious.

Om- how did you come up with this?

S- this school was a military hideout during British rule, I saw this path in the blueprint and spoke to the school founder's granddaughter, they still haven't demolished it , ok now go! First reach out to Rudra and Annika ,get them out of that hospital immediately , she's very ill Om.Make a press release about this situation and convince the CM to bring a complete lockdown. Even the hospitals are not safe, evacuate all the patients and alert the bomb squads. And don't forget to get those results from the doc.

Om took a minute to take in everything he just a said and asked in no time.

Om- let's get the others too.

S- no Om, for now we don't even know who's infected and who's not. It's a  whole big pack here. We shouldn't bring this threat outside the campus for now.

Om- wait! You're not coming?

Shivaay sighed quietly looking away and Om shook his head immediately.

Om- know what? I will stay here and you are getting out.

S- no Om, I'm going for Tej today.

Om- for that you'll have to be alive idiot. Look around ! with this hand, you won't be able to make it.

S- exactly, atleast you'll get to leave here without being harmed. Please Om, let one good thing happen atleast.

Om - you're blind in revenge shivaay.

Shivaay didn't answer to that, he stared somewhere else with a straight face and Om knew this was it. He's not gonna change his mind for anything now.

Om- annika's gonna kill me for this.

Muttering this, he bent down and scooted ,entering the tunnel, he turned when shivaay called his name suddenly.

Om- hmm?

Shivaay gulped deep and looked everywhere before saying anything .

S- incase I  ... Mo tell mom I apologized.

Om- Shi

Om leapt forth to grab him in a tight hug immediately , shivaay pressed his lips together and wiped his wet eyes before anyone could see it.

S- ok... I'm ok, now go.

Om quickly fetched the pistols he had and gave it to shivaay who passed a reluctant look.

Om - you need it now more than ever,  remember, go for the brain.

He just gave a slight nod.

Om- goodluck brother.

A- keep trying Rudra!

Rudra here tried calling shivaay and Om continuously but there was no response. One was switched off and the next was unreachable. Both were scared to hell now, they knew something big has happened there. Not knowing the whole matter brought wild nightmares running through their mind which only made them suffer to extremes.

R- no, couldn't connect.

Annika heaved a huge sigh in defeat, Rudra got worried seeing her rubbing her chest in hurry.

R- angel, angel are you ok?

She gestured him to wait and moved to a corner, pressing both her palms on the wall she faced down taking deep breaths, with her fingers making counts to bring it even. Rudra decided to wait until she was done. That's when an announcement was made, emergency need for a  specialist to help in a critical cardiac tampnode surgery at the OT, they said.

Annika seemed to have  some control now, she knew what she's got to do.

A- Rudra, we don't know what's happening there, what we do know is these people need our help.

R- but he said us to leave from here.

A- and let people to die here?

Rudra couldn't say anything after that.

A- come to me immediately when you get any news from them. 8th floor OT.

She disappeared into the elevator mentioning this.

' Don't'

Someone stopped him from opening the entrance of that block, but he didn't approve to wait.

S-  you were out there on the ground a while ago, what if I hadn't opened it for you?

The man remained quiet while shivaay tried pulling  the grill gate first . But with one hand, he found it tough. He passed a quick look the other man and insisted, who helped, reluctantly though.

By the time he reached the ground, he knew it was late. A more of them were down, hurt, infected, turned, dead. Shivaay took a step back, gulping hard, it was scary. Seemed like a warzone, though being the daring ACP Shivaay Singh Oberoi who alone had the audacity to bring chills in people with his mere sight ,he was still afraid now,because this fight isn't like the others. It needed a more of strong will which he had but still it is very tough , he stopped for a minute to catch his breath before anything. Scared, worried, he was a man bound with all these emotions this second, which held him back, but yet another set of senses were also breeding within to give him a source of push.Rage.

'Maaaa!! '

His trance broke hearing a child's hollers. Without wasting any more time, he leapt forth and rushed towards the boy who was now seated on the compound wall fearing the infected man waiting there,ready to attack once he gets to him. Shivaay almost kicked the man from behind and hurried to get the child down.

But within soon the man got up and pushed himself on the other two for all three of them were now down, lying on the ground. He was about to bite the boy's back when shivaay immediately fetched the racket bag which slung around the boy's neck loosely and inserted it between , so that he gets to bite only the thick plastic now.

' Oh my God! Sanju!! '

A lady screamed from afar,seemed like the boy's mom.

Shivaay tried to pull the child along and move away but he was weak, his arm got stuck beneath the boy's front for it hurt like hell. The infected man didn't seem to wait though, he groaned in rage . Shivaay knew no thing was going to help this time and he had no other go in this second as the child's life was at stake.

Sanju screamed crying as he was scared to death when he saw the man coming for his hand this time. He pushed his weight on shivaay and crushed his eyes fearing the worst.

' sanju!!! '

Exactly when he came for the flesh, shivaay rolled the boy off and shot to dig the man's  brain straight. He was down soon .

Shivaay quickly got up and checked the boy if he had any kind of wound.

S- are you ok?

Sanju was quiet, he kept staring at the man keenly which worried shivaay.

S- what happened, did he... did he hurt you?

' papa!! '

Shivaay stumbled loosing his legs and fell down on seeing the boy crying infront  of the infected man, who was now a lying corpse. The boy's mother who came there had a shock stricken face on seeing the collapse there. She almost fainted .

The shiver in his hand made the pistol slip off, shivaay crawled back from the spot like a thrilled stray dog. He cried seeing the scene, he had killed a father just infront of his son. His breaths became uneven and they were too loud that he was able to hear it even in this place, with so much chaos happening.

He had pledged to show hell to people who deserved it but this, this is so wrong. He can't go on killing innocents now. Being a cop with a pistol and a number of bullets doesn't give him the right to do it. He looked around to find many familiar faces already dead on the ground. His juniors, black squads, all were gone. He felt sick , weak from heart and mind.

T- dead already?

Shivaay opened his eyes quickly and prepared to not blink when he heard his voice from somewhere close. He ran his eyes around everywhere to soon spot Tej coming from behind. He grabbed the gun and aimed  , he missed, shot again but missed  again. He moved aside to reach for the sniper which was lying there, but by that time Tej was already close. He came quick and fast for him, like a mammal in the jungle to kick straight at shivaay's stomach.

T- don't die soon haan, we've got some unfinished business here. And this was for not minding your own business like a good cop.

He coughed out blood, holding his stomach. He was in so much pain which was clearly visible on his face. Shivaay pressed his hand on the ground to get some support and slowly stood up just to get served with another punch on his face.

T- for entering my lab!

He caught Tej's wrist and forced it down when he came for the next punch, but Tej immediately twisted his wounded arm and pushed him. Shivaay fell on the ground again, he was going to get up but something on the other side caught his attention. He spotted veer on the ground, trying to attack one of his fellow military peer who screamed for his life holding Veer just in position, an inch away from reaching his skin.

T- for destroying my lab, my hospital, my name and

Tej stopped from saying anything when he saw shivaay's smile .

S- add this to your list too.

Before Tej could even realize it, shivaay rolled by to grab the gun near his foot and aimed at Veer. One two and three, he buried three bullets into Veer's head who fell down on the ground. The other official quickly made use of the situation and stabbed near Veer's temple a few more times until he found him dead, with no movement at all.

T- Veer!!

Tej's world just stopped for a second, he didn't know what just happened. Seeing his son lying on the floor dead, yet again, just shook the hell out of him. He seemed extremely wrathful, with eyes full of tears burning like fire .

S- I seldom miss , so now it's your turn.

Tej moved away  just in time to take the bullet on his shoulder when shivaay made his next move for him, Tej was instigated like never ever .  He had spent his whole life for his son and watching him die like that just ignited every ounce of rage in him.   

And that was the last bullet he had, shivaay quickly fetched for other gun in his sock but this time Tej was quick enough. Within no time he kicked the gun off his hand and struck shivaay's head with a rod .

S- ahh!!

Forcing him to the ground, Tej went for his throat but ended up biting his shoulder when shivaay wriggled. Blood oozed out soon to wet his skin all over .

R- what are you...?

Rudra's face screamed horror when he heard what all Om just said.

Om - we don't have time Rudra, if the infected are out of that school we have to be ready. I've already informed the state cabinet. They are going to announce about it and implement an immediate lockdown any second now. But we have to evacuate all the hospitals first, bomb squads are already here, checking.

R- senior do you see around, how can we!

The place was packed with patients, whatever he said seemed impossible. If people are prone to die inside  here,the results would be the same outside too, if they don't get treated on time.

Om- Rudra you don't understand, this place where we're standing can blow off, fall down any time now, I don't know. Do as I say, get everyone out and lead the critical patients to the military hospital , quick!

R- and you?

Om- I'm going for annika, where's she?

R- 8th floor OT. She's been there for hours now, don't know if she's done yet.

Om- ok,  go soon now.

R- senior! Careful.

Om- you too Rudra.

He ran upstairs after shouting this and Rudra prepared to announce. If they panick, they'll have to hold tight, this is it. This can't be hidden anymore.

A- I need another hand here.

Annika gulped wetting her lips in tension. This case is very critical. Tissue is ruptured and slit. Fluid is more than they had expected. Valves have contracted beyond range. Her skin was covered with sweat . She was almost done but just found another rupture in the veins, which needed immediate attention.

She looked up on finding another pair of hands coming into the play . And for a second she just froze on seeing Vrushali inside those scrubs. Vrushali looked at her with those guilt filled eyes, almost ready to pour down . Annika gave in for a second but soon realized and tranced out.

A- catheter.

She alarmed with a loud voice, insisting her to focus.

Her thoughts flew by to have him in mind but she kept forcing it to stop. All she could do was hope for good,she wasn't someone who's very much into God and prayers so she just hoped , hoped for things to be ok for him there. Yes she was scared and worried but this wasn't the time, she told herself. Doctors are meant for this, to help, she remembered her pledge and did what she had to .

Om helped the rescuing squad in fixing ropes at every floor so that it gets easier. Everyone coming out all at once would do a disaster, so they planned to post life saver ropes at every floor and bring down some through all possible ways.

Sudden alarms went on radiating red light's everywhere.

' fire, must be fire somewhere ! '

One of the nurse spoke out first sensing the meaning behind this danger light.

V- we can't stop now, he's almost

A- we won't

Annika interrupted to make this point, and so they did continue. The tube sucked out the excess fluid while Vrushali inserted stent into the valve , it was almost done.

A- everyone except me and doctor Vrushali, out, help everyone get off this place. Vrushali, we'll have to move this patient.

As Annika patched up, Vrushali prepared everything for his support, so that they could leave . The situation demanded some fear in them  but they played calm and composed, that's what they should do. Inside OT, even with life threatening things ahead, they should show no reactions and just prioritize the person on bed first. Annika and Vrushali both were quiet good in doing it.

V-  everything's ok but  moving him now is quiet risky.

A- I know,  we don't have a choice.

As she came out dragging the bed along  , she almost bumped with someone infront. Her face grew big when she saw Om there.

A- Om...! Where's shivaay?

When he kept numb she raised the volume.

A- where's he Om!

The small hint of smile she had on her face vanished soon seeing Om's hopeless reaction.

Om- he's still there.

A- wha...

She stood like a statue . People who kept rushing  , pushed her out of their way . Om caught her before she could fall.

Om- Annika he must be fine, let's not loose hope. Now come with me, this place is going to fall.

She was again shocked with this revelation and looked at him with the same face.

Om- Tej has fixed bombs at every hospital in the city.

Vrushali and Annika exchanged shocked looks.

Om - come now!

He rushed the two towards the corridor where rescuers where present, helping. One came running as soon  as he saw Om.

' sir they found the explosives fixed on every pillar holding this building ,in the ground floor. But it can't be disposed, they tried and we have only 4.30 minutes left now '

Om gulped deep in fear. He looked around, most of them were out but still , it wasn't enough. He hurried everyone. Vrushali got her catch and slid down with a rescuer.

Om- annika go.

A- tie this bed first.

Om- Annika

Annika didn't argue with him anymore, she called for a rescuer and asked him to tie the bed and take it down. There was a huge air bag slide like thing kept to help the patient's bed along the way with the rope.

The patients were taken far enough to the ambulance as soon as they were down. Crowd clearance had started as it was almost time. Even some rescuers started setting back. Om turned after helping another patient down just to realize she wasn't there.

Om- annika, annika!

But she was just there, knelt down, suffering to breathe . He spotted annika and started towards her just when it all went down. Om slipped to fall on the air bag kept out when the floor was dragged to  glide .

Continuous blast noises were heard beneath, soon the building shook without roots to hold and became a load of bricks and sand  .

Shivaay gasped out aloud breathing huge when he came around with his consious back. He's lost so much blood and he could feel the changes in him actually, with the virus happening within.

He could see Tej there, seated near veer's dead body, crying. It felt good, after whatever they had been through, watching Tej cry like that, made him feel better. Shivaay wanted to strike him now, when he was low and weak but he found it more hard to even move a muscle here so he lied just there. His entire body ached till worse and he somewhere realized that his time has come.

It was not intentional or he wasn't even thinking about her but suddenly these flashing came up  to occupy his mind, as if they was trying to tell him something, feel her for one last time. With extreme pain everywhere, he was still found smiling, not much, just a bit, in response to those flashes playing in his mind.

Om looked surprised when shivaay revealed he was going to the same college as annika's ,while she who stood beside passed a plain look.

Om- I thought your mom wouldn't approve.

S- she wants me to do medicine abroad , but

Om completed the sentence before him.

Om- but as usual you denied.

S- I'm more comfortable here I think, foreign is not my thing.

He spoke eyeing annika who was now staring at the empty swing situated in the corner of that park.

Om- so I've got two medicos with me, dare you guys ask for fee when I come to you in the future.

Om delcared this with a serious face  for shivaay passed a quick smile and signalled him to leave. Om sighed understanding the assignment and left from there saying he had something to buy at the nearby book store.

A- even I have to buy some books, bye shivaay.

Shivaay's face fell when she was about to follow Om, he immediately caught her arm .

S- hey, that's it?

A- what?

S- I said we can go to the college together.

A- yes you did.

S- and this is your reaction?

She bit her lips and smiled watching his dull face.

A- you give stalker vibes you know. Will you follow me till the end, wherever I go, you go too?

S- excuse me who told I'm following you?  Why would I waste cash on other colleges when I easily got this one on merit?

She rolled her eyes as he tried making a point.

A- as if. By the way I am actually happy, you know I don't have to speak with strangers in the college, atleast I'll have someone I know . I'm worst in socializing, you know right.

S- only that then?

A- only that then.

He was totally pissed off now and she knew it was time to run. He chased her around the park while she ran quick in and out between the slides and ladders there.

Shivaay could have got a hold of her within seconds but he wanted to play, and let her think she was good in this. But at one point he did get her. He scooped her in his arms and pressed her to  the swing seat. She tried to escape but he blocked her ways and kept the swing chain held.

S- only that haan?

A- ok ok... I'll tell you but you answer me first, I'm serious ok. Wherever I go, you go too? Shivaay!

A- shiva... ay?

A heap of sand and heavy blocks of bricks stayed on her body, her breathing may stop any second now. She felt immobile, her skin was covered with white sand and blood patches everywhere. It was as if she was dreaming, dreaming of the past. Only she knew how happy and joyous she felt when he said he would stay in India, that too he would go to the same college with her. She felt so much in that moment, but as usual, she didn't show up. That's how she is actually, doesn't like to express much and people tend to think she's rude because of that. So she only had a few friends who understood and accepted her for who she was.

She smiled remembering his poor face then.

S- I already told you the reason. I got good marks, it helped and that's it.

She chuckled a bit.

A- it's ok, one day you'd die to agree on this because I know you're so used to me.

Unplanned it was, she didn't know when and how but her fingers where already on his hair ruffling through them, in and out.

They exchanged stares for a few seconds and shivaay caught her off guard when she glanced his lips once. Both drew closer, shivaay's hold on the chain loosened as he was now busy playing with her hairlocks . She blinked slowly and pulled him close, shivaay moved all her hair back so that they don't fall on her face.

Annika had a serene smile on her face while he kissed her eyes one by one. She held the fabric of his shirt crushed within her fists all this time. He then slowly kissed her right cheek just above the mole and she had her lips parted already, the feel was something else and she loved it. A few seconds passed by, she opened her eyes  when he stopped suddenly only to find him smiling at her. He found this version of her so cute, all mushy and small. A rare version that only he gets to see, he liked the sound of it ,only he gets to see.

S- wherever you go ,I go too... I don't think  I agree with this but what I do think is, we both are stuck with each other. Because we both are crazy in our own ways, none could handle us.

A- stuck means, for life?

S- and maybe an after too.

He muttered this and went for her lips, inserting his hands into her hair,shivaay gripped her next part and tilted her head to ease his way into her mouth.

He smiled as if he was able to taste her lips even now. What wouldn't he give to get back to those days !

T- shivaay!!

He saw Tej coming for him with a big rock in his hands but he couldn't get up and fight now. His head hurt like hell ,body didn't let him move, so he just lied there ,like a dead man.
